And then I was told to draw them having a tea party... on Mars.



Obcviously I was too lazy to colour it properly, but then again it IS just a random drawing!

Hello everyone! I haven't had a lot of time recently and now with a weekend of freedom before starting work again, I decided to have a look around this forum ;D Anyway... I'm a huge fan of TLK even at an age where most deem it to be childish, but what can I say? I'd love to get more involved in this forum even if my job keeps me busy at times and I'd love to get to know you all better =D

You can't ever grow out of it ;D I think it was just during my work contract when we were following a pride in Kenya and I named them all after TLK characters and I think everyone got a bit sick and tired of me by the end of it.

Anyway, moving away from that episode... It's nice to be on here properlyand explore. My name's Arya but I like to pretend it's short for Artemis, and currently suffering from jetlag so excuse me in advance if my posts are all a bit random and full of mistakes ;P

And you've actually seen wild lions?? Very cool! What do you do for work? I'm an office admin lady. So I do get to see wild animals but their parents come to pick them up at 3 XD.

Long story short: My parents are slightly eccentric and both Tolkienists, Arya was the modern equivalent to Arwen, so yeah... I love them both though and have certainly taken after their love for fantasy with GoT, Inheritance Series, LoTR, Star Trek, and so on and so forth (Arya is an epic name though XD)

Haha! I'm a wildlife camerawoman (Bit of a moutful But I can go with just camerawoman ;D) and though I've been up close to wild animals, I'm at loss with children so hats off to you.

Ahh cool! I've never seen wild animals apart from films and pictures and I can imagine them but..... Never seen them. Would like to though.

Man, I'd love to see lions in the wild sometime. It is on my list of things to eventually do XD Wildlife camerawoman sounds like an amazing job; where/what else have you been photographing?

Thanks. It is a wonderful job and such an experience I'm a contractor for National Geographic and in the past years I've been to Iceland, Greenland, Kenya, Madagascar, China and New Zealand to top it off. So yeah LOADS of travelling but definitely worth it. Also means that I don't always have much time on the internet especially when camping out in a bug infested jungles... they never show the bugs you find in your tent in the documentaries...

But anyway.. What do you guys do? I know I blab a lot so excuse the trailing on and off topic

That's ok, Atemys. Your blabbing is interesting:). I'm still envious of the freedom you must have. You must keep very fit too with all that travelling. I'd love to travel so much but the furthest i've travelled from home is my grandparents' place in Katoomba (not far).Have you ever travelled to Australia? If you do, please send me a message and maybe we can meet up!

Haha, I don't mind either, I think it's rather interesting I'd also love to see some of your work!

As for what I do, I study Graphic Design at a university is Sweden. It's very fun and interesting, but not as cool as wildlife photographer Most of all I want to be an animator though. I do a bit of it in my spare time and have done a couple of semi-professional jobs, so maybe there is hope for me becoming an animator despite not going to school for it xD

finally, I'm back from Riga. The heat is killing me.. Been chatting with
australians for 4 hour, and they say, that I have a Mid West American accent.

Well I'm glad you can all put up with my blabbing ;D And you'd of never thought of the amount of time workout, training, safety briefing, paperwork all takes up. The first few months I had training felt like boot camp And I don't think that experience will wash away any time soon... I've been Down Under before but not for long periods at a time, but after South America it's one of the places I'd love to go to! (Currently though I keep applying for a job somewhere near the Amazon rainforest but keep getting rejected )

If you're interested (Which I'm so glad you are!!) I don't have a gallery up online, but I helped film some of the programs on NG's channel. Some that have recently been aired are Wild China (Fabulous country and such adorable Pandas <3), Ultimate Animal Countdown (Visited soooo many places on this one and it was just amazing), Africa's Deadliest (Awesome as I got to name all the lions after TLK characters since I was mainly following them but could be scary as hell sometimes when the predators got a little too close for comfort...) and Life Below Zero (Alaskan bush is gorgeous but just a tad cold)

Oh I love Sweden!! And an animator is cool as well!! It's like a camera person without the risk of being eaten XD Anyway will you be making TLK3 then? You can be sure I'll be queueing (Dunno how that's spelt...) for hours I really hope you get to be an Animator and don't give up hope!! You'd be surprised by the billions of times I was rejected for projects and channels but I suppose after bugging them for years they had to give in ;P
