For the most part, I think the Skype chat has been the go-to for random chat but that kinda excludes people who aren't in it. So how are you all?

Yeah, you're right. We can't neglect the forum forever, in what concerns to random talk, that is. Besides, there's some of the newer users I've never really talked with. Hopefully that'll change

It's ridiculously fun! And I'm really loving that Pokémon has exploded into popularity again. It's like the ultimate 90s revival xD I only think it's a bit of a shame that Pokémon/Pokéstops generally appear in cities. So if you live a little "off" - like my parents do - there isn't a whole lot of action in the app. But at least I can hatch eggs I guess

I know exactly what you mean. I live in a pretty rural area. There's absolutely nothing out here. But where I work, there are like 4 gyms and 12 pokestops within walking distance.

I have like 1 gym about 3 minutes down the road, I wouldn't mind but it's not like it was even on a shop or a church or anything like that, the gym is just above a random person's house lol I feel sorry for them, they probably get people standing outside their house a lot because of it. Despite that it's oddly seen some action, it's swapped hands between Instinct and Mystic a few times. About 10 mins away is a big college and at the entrance there's like 5 pokestops all within a minute distance of one another so in a 5 minute interval I can hit up 5 stops and by the time I hit the last one the first one resets and I can go around again, so it's great for farming items lol

It's amazing how quickly it became a worldwide success. I love that both young and old players are enjoying it, it does bring back so many memories about being a kid in the 90's

I'm still waiting for it to be officially available in Latin America, though I don't know when that will be, but it's a painful wait ><
That said, my brother has the APKmirror version, so he's already into it (It's easy to get on an Android device, but much trickier on iOS). Because of him I already know most of the Pokéstops and Gym locations here, and there are quite plenty.
I feel like I already know the game so well without having ever played it :'D I really can't wait to finally be able to download it.

In the mean time, I'll keep having fun with all the Pokémon Go stories and memes. And I'm currently playing Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, so I have that going for me at least

My brother and I found the village's only Pokéstop last night I'm impressed that there is one! xD And I caught a great ponyta on the way there too. So maybe it's not all bad out here... My own flat in "my town" is right in the middle of everything though, so over there I only need to walk a couple of minutes to find plenty of stops. I suppose I'm more used to that xD

What Pokémon would you most like to find? Ponyta was pretty high on my "wishlist", so I'm happy, haha! Now I'd like to evolve my Eevee into a Vaporeon and find a Vulpix/Ninetales... They were my favourites when I was younger :3

A lot of my favorites from Gen 1 were oddly enough Fire Types, Charmander, Ponyta, Growlithe, Vulpix and their evolved forms. I think outside of that Zapdos and Jolteon were the only others I liked. If I can get any of them I'd be super happy. I seen a Vulpix nearby, but wasn't able to track it down, outside of that I haven't come across any of the others sadly. On a side note to that, I currently have a pokemon in a gym, so I'm getting some free stuff every 21 hours, it's not much but it's nice, though the pokemon is only like 250 in power so I'll need to get out more and get stronger stuff if I want to keep my position in the gym, the leader is about 600+ I think.

Extra question on top of Kanu's, has anyone here engaged in gym stuff and if so how much and what do you think of it?

I wish I had time to do gym stuff. There's two pokemon gyms in the waterpark where I work, but I'm only level five and my 110CP Toros isn't exactly going to do anything against the 1000+ CP behemoths that are defending those things.

I'm a scientist at heart, so I naturally would fit well in Mystic, considering how strong that team is as well (plus aesthetically Articuno is my favourite xD). But there's something about Instinct I also identify with, like I'd choose Instinct if I followed my instinct.
