Abeni hardly noticed she had been left behind by Nassir and Sakura. She didn't really mind, she liked being on her own. It was getting darker however, and though dusk was her favorite time of day she would much rather be at least near Sakura's home. She scented the air and tried to get a grip on her sense of direction. Which way had Nassir and Sakura been going? Abeni sighed and stared at the dry grass around her. This would do for a sleeping area she supposed, there wasn't any shelter from the elements, but she had slept in much worse before. Abeni decided to roll in the grass and she relaxed staring up into the sky as the stars came out. The stars were some of her closest companions, for she knew they always listened to her thoughts, dreams, and fears. Suddenly, Abeni heard a twig snap. She turned and slowly got to her feet. She crouched down and padded over to the top of a small hill and silently climbed the rise, eyes gleaming with interest. She stilled her breathing and watched as a small distance from the hill a lion padded out into a dry, sandy clearing.

It was the lion she had seen crossing the river! Abeni flattened her ears to her head when she remembered Sakura's Judas. She was about to turn and try tracking Sakura and Nassir again in an attempt to warn her of this intruder when suddenly she saw a cream-colored cub tumble off of his flank. Abeni hesitated. She loved cubs! But were they..hunting? She watched closely as the broad-shouldered male gently instructed the cub on hunting. She had barely noticed the mouse nest, or her growing hunger, she was so fixed with the two. There was something very alluring about lions teaching cubs. Wait. What in the world was she thinking?! Abeni shook her head to clear herself of her hopeless romantic dreams. This lion was hunting on Sakura's lands! She turned away to hunt for Sakura and Nassir some more but lost her footing on the incline and slid down the hill. Stones and pebbles fell down in a small shower around her and Abeni glared at the hill. Blast The Golden Lands and their stupid rocky slopes.

Alebrylla had watched as the lioness he saw back in the lands of greed tumbled infront of him. He returned his focus for a second to the hunt, no matter how small. "Once you creep close enough you have a few options, if you're by yourself, you look for the youngest, oldest or sickest and aim to take them down, however if you're with others you want to scare it towards them so they can take it down in a surprise attack" he looked back to the cub "Okay, you try the first way I said, find the sickest, youngest or eldest and take them down" he prowled to beside the female who had recently tumbled, but turned so he could keep Shujaa in sight. "You okay?" he smiled at the lioness, blue eyes sparkling and appearing very mysterious under the ever extending blanket that was nightfall.

Abeni swallowed nervously and shook herself off. She hesitantly looked up only to become completely bewitched by the brilliant blue of the lion's eyes. Embarrassed she looked at the ground. "Oh um, yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Um are you okay? I'm uh, really clumsy." she said in a rush. Stupid! Now he definitely won't take you seriously. She thought to herself angrily. She turned to watch as Shujaa attempted to stalk a small mouse that had emerged from the nest. "Sorry to um interrupt your hunting. What are you hunting? Oh mouse. Right." Abeni said quickly. Why am I always like this around handsome lions?! Abeni thought. She really wished she could crawl into a mouse hole right now.

As the night fell Eupe rose.
He stretched his muscular body, yawned and walked out from the cool cave,His light yellow eyes glowing in the dark. A days sleep had made him fully energized once again.

Before disappearing to hunt he socialized with his pride. Next to a big Acacia tree rested 2 old lionesses whom were, becouse of their age, unable to hunt.
Two sisters and their names was Misami and Embamba or "Mis" and "Em" for short, Em was easily recognized due to her missing a canine tooth. They were uneasy next to Eupe at first but as the three lions spoke with each other they formed a liking to him. They told him the tale of the first king of the land of greed as they were the first litter of him. They had never seen him as a father and their mother never called him by his name, he was just "King".
They told him how another lion stepped forward after some years claiming they intruded and how the Greed king had beaten him and dragged him to a pack of hyenas while still alive, only to torture... Since then The Golden Lands and The Land of Greed were enemies.

Both sides had threathen each other, and even Misami and Embamba themselves had started fights against the other prides members from time to time in their younger days, the very same reason Embamba had lost a tooth.
Both prides wanted something.
The Land of Greed had always wanted The Golden Lands lush green grass and many herds of animals.
The Golden Land had always wanted the Greed Pride to begone.
Life were uneasy when two hot-spirited prides lived so close to each other, mothers often feared the life of their cubs and pride leaders were anxious of a suprise attack.

Eupe bowed at the older ones and told them he would bring them a tender animal to gnaw on, he needed to investigate these enemy lands for himself and hopefully get a sense of the number of Golden Lands members.
Embamba stopped him and called out the name of Alikaa (meaning: She lived) who were her only daughter and the only survivor of her many litters.
"Take Alikaa with you, she knows the way around those lands"
Eupe and Alikaa went away and followed the stream of water a bit down, since they didn't want to get caught they tried to take an more unusual way into the Golden Lands.
Alikaa's slate colored back and faint black spots on her more lighter legs made her incredible hard to see during night in high grass, in opposite from Eupe's lighter grey body pelt.
They just headed over to the Golden Lands and tried to find the lions living there, figuring out how much of a threath they might be now since Embamba and her sister told Eupe that the Golden Lands many pride members had not been seen fo a while.
Maby they had moved on? Or maby they were gearing up for war... Eupe thought.

Alebrylla laughed out loud, scaring off quite a few mice "Oops" he smiled "Yeah I'm fine" he smiled, this lioness was actually incredibly beautiful and had the most Intriguing eyes "You're not that bad, trust me I can be clumsier" he chuckled "and I think I interrupted the hunt mre than you did" he chuckled, his mane falling over his eyes do much so he had to blow to flick it out "Sorry Shujaa! Don't worry they'll be back!" he turned back to the lioness, the night bouncing off of her beautiful eyes "What do you call tht colour? Your eye colour"

Abeni blushed as much as a lioness could blush and swallowed nervously. "Oh um, I'm not sure really. I've heard they're lots of colors. Depends on the lighting I guess. I bet right now they're just gray-green." she said embarrassed. She hoped to get off the topic of personal appearances since she was a bit insecure. She shrugged her muscular shoulders and stretched a bit taking in the last light of day. She turned to watch the cub who was stalking a nice, plump, young mouse and asked quietly,"Is the cub yours? She is an adorable little thing." She tried to focus on the cub and the mice even though her hunger, and the lion's intense blue-eyed stare were very distracting. Suddenly she shook herself and faced the male saying, "I'm sorry, I don't believe I've properly introduced myself. My name is Abeni." She couldn't believe she had just settled down to a conversation with this lion without discovering who he was, and what he was doing here. With a cub of all things.

Alebrylla turned to Shujaa "Cute would be the word forthose who dont actually know her" he laughed a little "No, she isnt mine, but i knew her biological mother and i wanted to do right by her. I know its complicated, but if she were to have been taught in the lnds of greed, she would gro up loathing the Golden lands and maybe not knowing why, and vice versa if shegrew up in the Golden Lands. I just thoought I owed he and hr moter to allow her to grow up with a healthy view on people." He looked back to Abeni "Im Alebrylla, its a plesure to meet you" he bowd his head a little "Werent you at the Lands of Greed?"

Shujaa looked at Abeni and Alebrylla and snorted "hmmp i dont mind living in the golden lands since im not gonna become future queeen of the lands greed anymore since my father and mother are dethroned and Artemis and Eupe will end making a stupid heir of their own. " she said slashing at mouse with her claws and watched it bleed to death.

Abeni flicked her tail at the cub's remark and turned to Alebrylla. "I was in The Lands of Greed, for about two days before I saw the King of those lands dethroned. I wanted to learn more about the battle so I followed the body (the challenger, and a red lioness named Artemis, dragged the body into the water) down the river to investigate the corpse's injuries. There is a big difference between bleeding to death from your wounds and an accidental broken neck." she stated. She paused and looked at Shujaa who was happily chewing on the mouse. "I saw that you had beaten me to the corpse at the river and then followed you when you crossed the border to see if you would confront the new King of the Lands of Greed." Abeni closed her eyes as she felt a breeze rise up and gently caress her fur. The night was fully here and she was getting tired (and was still rather hungry) but she continued her introduction saying, "I am now staying with Queen Sakura in The Golden Lands but only for a temporary amount of time. I'm a consistent wanderer. I accidentally got separated from her and a new lion named Nassir while heading back to her main den. Then I stumbled upon you two!" she laughed lightly at this and then smiled as the breeze played with her windblown fur.

Alebrylla laughed at Abeni's shivers and then turned to Shujaa "You shouldn't envy, envy only turns to hate and hate to violence." He looked at the poor mouse slowely dying "Put it our of it's misery, don't play with it. Put yourself in its shoes, if you were to be killed, which hopefully won't happen, but say you were to be, would you like it to be slow and painful?" he asked before turning his attention back to Abeni "No I wasn't going to dethrone him, my place is helping the normal lion, living by them, beside them, royalty or leadership isnt my forte"

Abeni watched intently as Alebrylla scolded the cub. He wasn't harsh with her, but gently reprimanded her. She laughed at his remark about leadership, but then quieted and watched him as he observed Shujaa and the mouse. He might not be in favor of royalty or leadership but he had an air of influence about him. He would make a good King. His wisdom and guidance is proof of that with this cub. Abeni though to herself. She lay down in the dry grass and questioned Alebrylla saying, "Are you a rogue?"

This question stopped Alebrylla dead in his tracks, what was he?
"I don't actually know what I am to be honest. I used to belong to the lands of greed but I was banished by the past king." he looked at the sky "Yet at the same time, i belonged more with this pride" he huffed "but I belong with neither so I guess you could call me a rogue" he put his head onto his paws "Would you classify yourself as a rogue or just a wanderer?"

Soon, Sakura managed to climb up the stone structure, sitting at the very top, looking into the distance, as the sun finally sunk behind the horizon, its warm glow fading.
Soon, her land was filled with darkness, the only light being the moon.

Sakuras claws clicked against the stone, her teeth gritted and eyes closed, tears falling from her eyes. You Broke Your Promise.. And Started A War, Which Is Now My Burden.

Abeni stared up into the sky. "I belong to the prides of my fathers. Both my true father, Nthanda, and the pride of the Great Kings and Queens of the Past." She stared up at the bright, white, moon and sighed. "I suppose then, I am just a wanderer." she said quietly. "I join prides temporarily, but do not stay long. I only truly belong to the prides of my fathers." She turned on her side and watched as Shujaa finished off the mouse. The cub looked rather sleepy and her belly bulged from the meal.

Shujaa rolled her eyes "i don't care if i die a slow and painful death i don't care if some other living thing dies a slow and painful" she said before putting the dying mouse into her mouth and eating it practically alive she then give Abeni a rather unfriendly look "And your gonna tell him he belongs to the golden lands yadayadayada".

Abeni narrowed her eyes at the cubs remark. She slowly stood and walked over to the cub until she was practically towering over her. "I would be careful who you use that tone with lioness. There are many who would choose to scar that fluffy pelt of yours with such insolence." Abeni wrinkled her nose at the conceited little thing and turned to walk a few paces away from both lions. "I was not going to tell him which pride he belongs to. It seems as though he has a loyalty for both. It is up for him to make the decision of which pride he should remain in. Not me." "Shujaa come on, be nice theres no need to be mean" he looked at the cub, disdainfully "Wanderer sounds friendlier than rogue, are you better recieved by others?"

Abeni shrugged, still looking at the sky. "I am usually well received, but there have been many..fierce introductions. I can hold my own in a fight, and it can always add a little spice to life, but I of course, prefer a friendly greeting." She shyly looked down and felt slightly embarrassed but continued saying,"I usually wander to deliver messages to others from the Great Kings and Queens of the Past. They guide me and ever since I was little I have been close to them and heard their voices on the wind." She paused and continued saying, "I think they are why I have journeyed to these lands. I felt, almost pulled here by something. I think they brought me here." As she finished speaking she stretched and turned to look at Alebrylla and the little lioness. She smiled thinking of Shujaa's fierceness. Nothing wrong with a fiery spirit, but she could use some manners. The breeze swirled around them and Abeni felt herself growing tired. The moon had climbed high into the sky and the star's were out in all their splendor. Abeni walked away from Shujaa and Alebrylla and curled up at the far side of the sandy clearing. She kneaded the ground around her, clawing up loose dirt and moving pebbles and twigs out of the way of resting area for the night. The dust and dirt would make a mess of her pelt in the morning, but nothing she couldn't handle. She wasn't very particular about her appearance like some lions were. She let out a long sigh and then turned her head to look at Shujaa and Alebrylla.

Eupe and Alikaa had walked around for nerly three hours, their nostrils picking up on the fresh scents of a number of differnet lions.
Including atleast one belonging to a male...
But jet they had seen no one so far.
Until now.
They reached a big cliff and what looked like a lioness resting on it.
Eupe decided this was a perfect moment to find out a bit of their leader. Or atlest try and see how agressive they were toward the new king of The Greed lands.
He rose and walked slowly out of the high grass, standing next to the big cliff looking up at the lioness. Calmly jet assertive he shouted,
"Hey you on the cliff!" He paused for the lioness to notice where he stood, Alikaa sitting a bit behind him just watching. " I am Eupe, The light king of The Lands of Greed, I bet you're part of The Golden Lands Pride? I would like a word with you if I may?" His tail flickering as this could go both friendly or agressive.

Sakura rested on the clifftop, realising that, there was no need for the Lands of greed to be enemys. There was no satisfaction or help from killing them off. Sitting up, she glanced around the night once more, sighing soflty.


Just as she was about to sleep, a voice shouted at her, she almost leaped out of her fur, but kept a calm yet regal apperance. Perhaps this is the time I put our past behind us. She thinks, getting up. "Who is calling me in the middle of the night?" The queen raises her voice slightly, seeing the form of the brute, and a lioness. They were certainly from the Lands Of Greed. "I am indeed apart of the Golden Pride, for I am their Queen." She spoke, staring down at the two figures.

"And I would be happy to accept. I woulden`t mind talking. You seem, different from the last ruler of your lands. " She says calmly, feeling no need to fear them. She pads down the rocky outcrop, and sits before them both. "I Am Sakura. And I Have Heard That You Are Going To Make The Lands Of Greed Prosper. I too, have been thinking about my past mistakes. My fathers unwelcoming attitude towards your past pride seemed to have worn off on me. All our fighting causes is death. Sure, we had a reason to fight the old King, but, you are certainly different. Your old king would have come here to kill me. But you instead want to talk. Go on then. What do you have to share?" She says, looking rather interested.

The queen's fur shinned like gold in the light of the moon as she walked down to them.
" I'm glad to hear that, I came here to investigate how much of a threat your pride where, but instead I am met with a friendly face."
He sat down too as he understood there were no need to be ready for an attack.
"I've heared stories of the previus king of the greed lands, I can assure you I am nothing like him.
As you know my newly won lands are dying, and I fear I can't fix these lands quick enough before all herds of animals leave, leaving my pride starving. " He paused for a secound.

"I'm coming here with a proposal, my pride consists of 8 lionesses and me, only 4 of them are in shape/age to hunt and fight. But they are strong and agile. If you would let our hunting party into your lands to hunt big game once every 3 days, me and my lionesses would help patroll your lands, chasing off unwanted intruders by your command."
His yellow eyes stared at the queen as he awaited the respond that could change the fate of his pride.
" So what do you think Sakura? "

The Queen nodded at his small speech, taking in the details. "Indeed, I have realized It is wrong for us to fight."  She says, her tail coiled around her haunches.
"I can sense that with the way you are acting now. The previous King was heartless.." She sighs. "Thats terrible. I had no idea how bad it was, I have never actually been to your lands." She says, her ears drooping slightly.

"Since your lioness are, well most of them are not fit to hunt, you may hunt the big game. If the weather ever turns harsh, you may reside here, with my pride. And If you wish, you can take your pick on food. Anteleope to the North, Zebra to the East, Rats & Mice To the South, and Buffalo to the West." She speaks. "However, I have spoken to your, apparent potential Queen. Im afraid we may be on bad terms. I believe she is the Red Lioness, in your pride."  She says.

" I've been here for a couples of days so I'm not even sure I'll ever make anyone my queen jet, queen to me is someone I trust to lead the pride when I¨'m not around and that is a big responsability I will not give away easily so that might take time."
He bowed slowly.
"That is most kind of you Sakura, the pride shall be plesed to hear it!"
He listened to what Sakura had to say about the tension between her an his pride member.
Eupe grinned a bit and looked at the ground before he looked back at Sakura.
" That must be Artemis, she is kind but have a fiery spirit. She is still quite young and suddently were given someone else's cub to care for and I believe that might make her stressed and tense at times. Hopfully since our prides have joined alliances now everyone will get along.
But on another note, I've told you how many we are, mind if I ask how many members your pride consists of?"
Alikaa now rested on the ground watching them talk. She felt no need to interupt two rulers talking but jet she thought it was very intresting to watch them.
