Shocked Eupe watched as the red lioness gracefully went past him and got aggressive toward the male.
Banished as a cub?! Eupe thought, the previus king must have been mad...
Just in case of an attack he slowly walked up next to Artemis, he didn't want a much bigger male to go for her instantly. A strong swipe from him toward the head could really hurt her. Better to be safe He thought.

Abeni stared from the shadows of a small mound of rocks that was relatively high above the river that served as the border between two prides. From this vantage point she had watched, and heard, a prince become a King. I wonder if Sakura knows about this.. She thought to herself. It had been many months since she had visited the gracious Queen. The last time it was to give her blessings to the young lioness as she assumed the throne. She had been near the edge of both pride lands for a few moons now and had been drawn closer by a gut feeling in her chest. She had received no message from the Kings but something told her that she would be needed here. Perhaps she would pay a visit to Sakura soon. Sighing, Abeni lazily flexed her claws..only to immediately withdraw the deadly weapons at the sight of two lions dragging a dead lion into the river.
Abeni stilled and crouched down low, hiding in the tall grass and watched as the rather bulky male and small red lioness threw the dead lion's body into the cool rapids of the river. She had not known the old King but had heard dark rumors of his reign. This new King looked like he could easily get used to the power of authority. He had already assumed a commanding aura that could be detected in scent alone. He looked young and with youthfulness comes ambition. There was nothing wrong with ambition, when it could be restrained of course. Keeping her ears flicked towards the two lions, Abeni let her gaze follow the red blood flowing down the river and decided she would track the body and hopefully gain some more information about this new King's strength from the wounds in the dead lion's body. Stealthily, she slipped down from below the pile of rocks and quickly loped down the river bank where she hoped the body would be snagged by some river rocks.

Panting, Abeni slowed to a stop as she rounded a bend in the river and came across a surprising scene. The dead King's battered body had indeed snagged on the rocks as she had hoped, but she was not the first to encounter him there. A large muscular male had gotten to her target before her! Abeni felt her frustration rise up within her and immediately tried to regain some control of her emotions. She watched with pointed interest as she heard the muscular male yell at the carcass and wondered at his fury. Then, anger washed over her as she saw the male kick the body off of the rock and the body quickly disappeared out of sight. Who does this lion think he is? she though to herself irritably. Then, for the first time she caught a glimpse of his face. Her heart quickened as she noticed his strong jaw and glittering eyes. Stunned, she watched as he crossed the river and went into the pride lands. Get ahold of yourself girl. she thought and decided to follow him as he went further into the pride lands of the new King.
Making sure to keep herself a safe distance away from the young male Abeni watched as he finally made contact with the new, ambitious ruler of the pride lands. She furrowed her brow as she watched the slim red lioness position herself in front of the new King, as if defending him and stood up a bit higher above the boulder she had been hiding behind to get a better look. Her eyes scanned the small gathering of lionesses and the two males before coming to a rest on the large intruder to the pride lands. Suddenly, her eyes met his and she immediately shrank to the ground. She had been spotted during a confrontation. She had to get out of here and fast. Hopefully she wouldn't be followed. Now would be a great time to pay a visit to Sakura! She thought to herself, Perhaps my role as ambassador will come into play here..maybe the Kings have a message for Sakura! Or one of these two males. Gulping for air she raced away from the pride of lions and crossed the river.. Abeni was on the move.

Safi Mvua laid beside her small 'coalition' of siblings and offspring, watching the youngest cubs wrestle around in the small pond a few feet away from the resting place under the acacia trees. Soon enough, one of the youngsters got out of her eyesight, but that was normal, since every lion enjoyed exploring, no matter how lazy they actually were. Safi let out a loud huff and turned her head away for some relaxation, but of course, Sonrisi had to leap on her spine, the two others quickly following after. "Gotcha!" Furaha giggled, prodding the chinchilla pelted lioness. Mvua couldn't help but giggle, whispering quietly to not wake up the others, "You sure did!, Wanna go explore?" She grinned as a chorus of "Yeah!"s exploded out of the small felines. "Lets go then~." Her inner cub spread throughout her body, making her spring out of her laying spot and bound off, finding the others right behind her, not a centimeter away. "Oh, today is gonna be a fun day!" She thought, cubs already chattering about what they would find and who they could meet. (Sorry if that ending sucked a little bit.) A sigh escaped her maw, more important things to do, there always was. She lets out a bored sigh, flicking her tail. "Be Sure To Come Back. Don`t Forget." She chuckles lightly, before yawning, flicking her fluffy ears as the winds ruffle her golden fur.
Although the border to the lands of greed was about Quarter of an hour away, the scent of blood was strong, and worry filled her. What could`ve gone off? She pads slowly at first, running into a jog only to see her friend cross the border. Her eyes narrowed.
The river was red, like a running stream of blood, she looks down, spotting the previous rulers body. Although he was cruel, unkind and unforgiving, she hated death. He at least deserved something better. But mind you, their water source will have been contaminated. Unless they drink from the blood of their foes like a mad bunch of maniacs. A shudder creeps down her spine.
In the distance, new scents, and new pelts were seen. And her freind was there. Had He Betrayed Her? She shook her head, but padded back.
Soon she arrived home, bothered bu the body in the borders river, and by the fact that her freind could`ve possibly betrayed her. She would punish him for this. /How Dare He/. She growls. She seemed kind, but oh my. You. Do. Not. Get. Sakura. Mad.

Looking at Artemis while walking back he answered " I've heard they're ruled by a golden quee-" Eupe stopped as a unfamiliar male lion with a chestnut colored mane sauddently interrupted him in a shout. Eupe looked at Artemis and told her with a low voice "I think this might be a good time to get in a safe distance with Shujaa" He looked back at the possibly intruder. This irritated lion before him was lean but strongly built, jet it was obvious that he was still quite young. He would been an easy match if a fight was needed Eupe thought as he scanned his objector. But then again... Eupe was already bruised and tired from the last fight... "Lion you are brave to talk to me with that tone.." He said with a low and sertain voice as he frowned his eyes and looked at him. Eupe shook off more water from his mane, trying to make it fluff up which was needed to make it like a coat of armor aroung his neck and chest. "Answer me quickly lion, are you part of this pride or not?!" He stood resolute before the other lion. (the suspense!  ) (suspense indeed!  ) "I shall talk to you in whatever tone I please" he said calmly, attempting to disarm the tension yet assert his strength. "And I wouldnt dare" he growled at the female. He retuned his attention to the new king "I was ten years ago, not anymore" he spoke moderately fast. "I simply came here to thank you for ridding our world of that monster" he half bowed. He turned his attention to the overlook of the lands "Treat her well yeah? These lands deserve it" he turned to him and something caught his eye, a female on a rock. Alebrylla soon pulled his attention away as him looking would surely tell of her location. He brought himself back to eye contact with the king but a small figure one again caught his eye. He crouched down to her level "Who's is this?" he kept eye contact with the cub but spoke to the two. "if I could guess, I'd say she was the king's and queen's basing it on looks" he brought himself closer to the cub and whispered to her "Be strong little one, remember, no surrender" he smiled, not even sure if the cub could understand. "I best be off now, things to do, places to see" he smiled, turning and walking away. |

Eupe slowly bowed a little while looking at the younger male to show respect as he walked off.
Eupe looked at Artemis and said calmly " The sun is still up but my body craves rest, I'll head to sleep at the caves." He began walking toward the hill with different caves in it. "If anyone askes for me Wake me immediately, I'll hunt for some food when night comes." He jumped up on some rocks until he reached the cave highest up and disapered into the shaded inside.

Artemis nodded " i'l roar when theres trouble i'l be going out and doing Shujaa's first hunting lesson and a small tour of the land the earlier she learns the better" she said as started walking towards The Golden Lands with Shujaa right behind her. Shujaa did however thinked about what Alebyllia said though she didn't quite understand it yet she also wonders where she and her mother are going. |

Abeni shook off the river water in an attempt to dry herself. Her heart was still pounding from her close encounter with the strange lions. There was no time to clean up now, she had to find Sakura. Abeni took off again and ran through the reeds at the top of the river bank and entered The Golden Lands. She had just settled into a rhythmic run when the ground suddenly gave way beneath her! Sure, The Golden Land was hilly, but sheesh! Pebbles clattered down after her as she skidded down the rough hill. Alarmed, she flattened her ears at the sight of a rather ruffled looking young lioness surrounded by cubs and a sizable lion with a dark red mane..A peculiar sight indeed! She immediately assumed a defensive position and extended her impressive ebony claws.
Abeni bared her gleaming teeth and flicked her tail as she snarled, "I am no cub killer and I do not wish for a fight. But I will surely be a threat if you dare attack me." With her heart in her throat Abeni waited for a response from the pair and hoped that she hadn't just stumbled upon a newly formed Pride. The cubs had all huddled under..their mother? Abeni swallowed nervously. New mothers and fathers could be especially defensive of their cubs. Especially around strangers. The wind picked up and gently played with all of the lions fur and Abeni felt a little more at ease, knowing that the Great Kings and Queens of the Past were still watching over her.. she could hear them whispering on the breeze.

Nassir looked at Abeni and wrinkled his nose " excuse me miss before jumping to conclusions if i came here to hurt them they'd probably be a bloody mess by now plus why in the world would i hurt a mother and her cubs? so miss i suggest for you take your leave and play border patroller somewhere else." he said in a stern voice. _______ Artemis crossed the river with Shujaa and into The Golden Lands she stood at the edge for a few seconds which was enough to get a confused look from Shujaa " what's wrong mother?" Artemis blinked a few times and looked at Shujaa "nothing just thinking of some things anyways " she said as she continued walking into The Golden Lands. She knows she probably shouldn't be in there at all since she is The Land of Greed's potential queen but she didn't care she was on the look out for wildebeest zebra's, Gazelles and warthogs basically almost any kind of prey so she could teach Shujaa how to hunt.
(Abeni could run into Artemis if you wish ). |

(I might have her meet them but I'd like her to meet Sakura first.. then maybe Sakura and Abeni could stumble upon Shujaa and Artemis together? Idk lol)
Abeni felt herself relax and politely curled her tail over her paws as she sat down still keeping herself at a safe distance away from the obviously startled lioness and cubs. She lowered her head and apologized to the red-maned male saying, "You have my sincere apologies. But one cannot be too careful around these parts. A new King has recently claimed the throne of the lands across the river and after seeing the old ruler's remains in the river I would not be surprised to see another murder take place. By the way, my name is Abeni." She laughed quietly and said, "And I am not a member of the border patrol!"
At this point Abeni noticed that the cubs still looked quite frightened and pausing in her introduction she cooed to them softly and flopped onto the ground saying, "You have nothing to fear little ones I mean you no harm! My how lovely you are! I have not seen cubs this young in many weeks."

(i really want Abeni to intereact with Artemis. ) |

Flicking her ears from her depressed state, she huffs. She woulden`t cry. She`s not weak, Im not weak anymore. The scent of.. those.. Darklanders had wafted up her pink nose, and she growls low. Wherever they were, she woulden`t allow them here. If if they were hunting here. Unfortunate, well, for her,she had no backup.
She pads through her lands, a slight bounce to her step, her regal form almost tripping over the many hills that stretched across her land. Stepping on top of a hill, the scent was closer, and she saw a lioness and a cub. And they stunk of those.. murderous pigs. Her form would merely be a silhouette to them, and her curvature the only thing shown. With a grin, she puffs her chest out.
She then breaths in, letting out a mighty roar that echoed throughout the plains. "Who /dares/ passes through my lands?!" She yells, walking down the hill to sneer down at the cub and glare at the older lioness. "I should`ve known. Your murderous backstabbing... creatures. You don`t deserve the title of a lion." She growls, flicking her tail.
{Welp, it seems Sakura has found some people to entertain her bordeom, and people to take her anger out on. -Scar Tone- Oh Goody.}

Abeni suddenly stood up as she heard the echo of a roar on the wind. Her eyes widened as she recognized the voice. It was Sakura, and from the tone of her voice she sounded rather enraged. Abeni turned to look up the hill she had just slid down and climbed up the small incline, trying to avoid scattering stones. as she reached the top of the hill she crouched, and warily scanned the horizon. Ah there was the Queen! From this hill Abeni could only see her slight, golden form in the distance but it was enough. Abeni chuckled to herself and then paused when she noticed a small red lioness in the undergrowth not to far from her. It was the lioness from the river! Abeni knew she did not belong to Sakura's pride and that could only mean trouble. Abeni remained in a crouch but turned back to Nassir and the young lioness with her cubs and watched for their reaction to the roar.

" Tsk tsk Sakura always trying to copy the pridelands The Golden Lands is pretty similar to pridelands except without its king has anger management unlike you oh and they allowed the outlanders to join their pride which used to be their greatest enemy. How do i know this? because i was there when it happened also why kill an innocent cub? sure she's from an enemy pride but can cubs do any harm to a full grown lion such as you? no of course not you know at least our new king is a lot nicer to strangers than you are you should feel ashamed " She said coldly not moving an inch. Abeni frowned slightly at Nassir's nonchalant response. It was about time for her to find out whose side this lion was really on. Slightly irritated she growled, "Are you a member of Queen Sakura's pride? If so your Queen could be in a heap of trouble if she is going into battle alone." She hastily turned back to watch Sakura and the red lioness. The two had met in a stand still but it looked as though a fight could break out any minute. Flicking her tail uneasily Abeni spoke again saying, "I myself do not belong to Sakura's pride but I befriended her a short while ago when she ascended the throne. I do not plan to let the new Queen die in her first few years of reign."

As the lioness walked off, she jumped in front, eyes narrowed. "Head back to your land of ruin, before something bad happens." She threatens. "And take that scoundrel cub out. As the cub of of an enemy pride, I can kill her right here, right now. So get out of these lands if you value your life." She hisses, her tounge like acid as she spoke, burning the victims heart with anger. "And one more thing, don't lie, the stench of your cursed pride surrounds you like the stink of rotten flesh." " Tsk tsk Sakura always trying to copy the pridelands The Golden Lands is pretty similar to pridelands except without its king has anger management unlike you oh and they allowed the outlanders to join their pride which used to be their greatest enemy. How do i know this? because i was there when it happened also why kill an innocent cub? sure she's from an enemy pride but can cubs do any harm to a full grown lion such as you? no of course not you know at least our new king is a lot nicer to strangers than you are you should feel ashamed " She said coldly not moving an inch. Sure, he`s nice, bet your only saying that because you wish to have a chance of being a Queen. The fool clearly has no clear mindset, to make you a Queen." She says, watching the cub run off. /Perfect. The further she runs, the more likely she is to be lost./ She thinks, flicking her tail. "I will stand no more for you trespassing in my lands. "welcomed back?" Alebrylla thought "After all this time I'm finally allowed back? And with open arms?"
Alebrylla couldn't believe this. He might actually be able to go home, back to where he grew up.
Alebrylla's mind raced until he heard the roar. He turned to run in the direction of it but found a failure face instead.
"Hey it's you!" he said to the little cub, crouching down to her height "How did you?..." he couldn't finish because the shouting fought its way over his words. "It isn't safe here" he grabbed the cub by the scruff of her neck and carried her to a cave where he used to hide. Placing her down, he scanned his surroundings and if his memory served him well, "Aha!" he exclaimed, pushing aside a rock to reveale a small passage down into a extremely colder cave.
He reamerged there a few minutes later much to the cubs happiness.
"It's cold but it's not rancid yet" he smiled, place a chunk of frozen meat I front of the Shuaja. "Just keep gnawing at it, it'll defrost soon"

" So your judging a lion by their pride? your that stupid and ignorant? cubs changed as they grow even if their trained to kill you doesn't mean they'll actually kill you heck Shujaa might become your ally when she grows up your such a queen i bet any other lion in your pride would make a better ruler than you. Oh and you've never seen our new king at least i would make a better queen that the last one" she grinned " that died in a terrible terrible accident " she said sarcastically scrapping her extended claws on the ground. |

Abeni dipped her head in understanding at Nassir's explanation. Life could be tough for a rogue. Especially a male since lionesses were often hesitant to allow them near their cubs. "Perhaps Sakura would allow you into her pride? Life would certainly be easier if you were in a pride. Better hunting, companionship, etc." Abeni said softly. She turned to look over her shoulder at the red-maned lion and the quiet lioness with her cubs. "Anyways I really think I should go see if Sakura needs any help with this intruder. It was nice meeting you all." she said anxiously. Abeni crouched, leapt off the hill and loped over to where the two lionesses were still shouting. She thought she saw the small outline of a cub running away from the two but it was probably just her imagination. If, however, there had been a cub by the lionesses then things could certainly be a lot more tense than she had expected.
Abeni slowed a short distance away from the red lioness and Sakura and slowly crept up on them, using the grass as cover. Then, she stood up and walked calmly, yet cautiously, out from the grass in between the two. She bowed to Sakura, tucking one paw under her while she lowered her head to the queen, who looked stunned at her presence. "Queen Sakura it is an honor." Abeni uttered respectfully. "I do not believe I have had the pleasure of meeting you. I do wish this were a more amiable introduction but I am not sure if you realize you are encroaching on The Golden Lands hunting grounds." She growled to the red lioness whose eyes flicked nervously between Abeni and Sakura. Abeni unsheathed her imposing black claws at her last remark and moved slightly in front of Sakura while assuming a defensive position.

Nassir pondered for a moment hunting for him is quite difficult indeed and having a pride would make it a lot easier for him he then looked at the three lioneses in the distance. __________ Artemis growled at Abeni and cursed under her breathe she was a quite a strong lionesses since she was born with the outlands and was trained to kil lever since she was a cub and could take down a male lion if she wanted to but she can't stand a chance againt's two larger lionesses but she's gonna take a chance for at least a few more minutes (if that made sense) shes stood as high as she could before growling at Abeni again. " And who might you be? border patrol? if so your not good at your job at all plus i do hope you know prey are scarce in The Lands of Greed but of course your gonna say we deserve blah blah blah" she said rolling her eyes. (you know i have a feeling something similar to Scars reign will happen in the rp) |
