The world is harsh, life is short, and people die everyday. But, in the midsts of Africa, there stands two kingdoms, tall and proud. The Golden Lands And The Lands Of Greed. Both sides are in need of strong lions, but who will you side with? The Golden Lands; Ruled By The Fair Queen Sakura. tlkgoeson.proboards.com/threads/recent/4501 The Lands Of Greed; Ruled By The Strong And Powerful King Eupe {mrcrazypants} ~~~~~~~Sakura~~~~~~~ The golden pelted femora scented the rich air, which was rivaled with the sheer brightness of the sun. Its golden rays illuminated her graceful features, as she smiles softly, yawning quietly, and leaping gracefully down the rocky slope that the prides cave was located upon. Taking a few moments out of her time, she sits on the golden grass, her ears flicking as the sun shines on her, she coulden`t stop smiling, her eyes were closed, but she was alert, but not tense. She then proceeded to lie down, waiting for them members of her pride to come out and enjoy the morning with her, she diden`t like being excluded from their groups, she was still the same as them afterall. |

A strong dark brown lion with black hair and red eyes named luke was walking from his old home to go somewhere else as he went to the waterhole and got a drink. He lift up his head after the drink and walked toward the shadowed tree and layed down

Since it was calm, Sakura laid down, listing to the movement and the whispers of the wind. Scenting another lion downwind, she decided to leave it, whatever gender it was be. She smiles, listing in case the stranger came any closer.

Alebrylla loved the sun. Everything about it made him happy. Looking around, he was almost there, almost home in the Land of Greed. It had been three years since he had last set foot there after a misunderstanding had caused his banishment. The sentence was now up and even if it wasn't, he couldn't stay away any longer, there was something rolling in those green, provocative hills that drew a lion in and held onto his soul. He arrived at its borders and his mind scurried, there was someone he had to see first, someone he hadn't seen since his banishment, since his cubhood, a close friend. He bounded away and towards where she had lived, a different pride but one in all the same size and awe of his own. The sun caught it as it came into sight, and bounced around its many greens and ambres. It bounced to him, illuminating the muscle in his shoulders and back, and highighting the chestnut colour in his mane, rolling around the tunnel of hair that framed the right side of his face. He was a handsome lion, but too modest to confess it, and he had definitely grown in height and muscle since he had last been here, but the lands welcomed him with soft breezes and gentle sun rays all the same. He caught sight of a lioness and was about to ask for directions to his old friend, but to his surprise it was her. He crouched onto his hunkers and stalked towards her. The grass brushed past his fur softly and gently and then he pounced at Sakura. (also I love that starting prologue mane  ) |

Flopping onto her side, the Sakura decided to just take a nap, a quick cat nap. That way she could rest in the warmth of the pride but also be alert. Her tail curls upwards, before patting on the spiked vegitation below her. She stretches, rolling onto her back, with closed eyes smiling softly.
And as she stopped her fidgeting, the Savannah was oddly quite, and it put her on edge. If there was anything she hated, It was the sound of silence, you didn't know what was waiting out there for you. The hairs on her back stood on end as the wind picked up and whistles through her fluffy ears.
And then, she heard the rustling grass, rolling back onto all fours was what she did, but before she could actually stand, she was pounced on.. 'Pfhn' She mumbles from underneath the male, spitting out some grass. Using her tail as a whip, she hit him with it a few times, being restrained to the floor that was the only thing she could do. He weighed way more than her.

"Sakura!" Aleb shouted, "Miss me?" he nuzzled his old friend for a few seconds before letting her up "Wow, youve changed but your eyes are still the same" he smiled, swatting her with his tail.

As she was finally allowed to get up, she shook herself from the dry grass that had got caught in her pelt. /I`d Recognize That Voice Anywhere/ She smiles. "Aleb!" She grins, joining in with the friendly nuzzle. "Indeed I Have, Hehe, Eyes Never Change. But I Rule My Own Kingdom Now. So, Whats Gone On In Your Life? And Lets Not Forget You`ve Finally Grown Your Mane In!" She laughs.

"That's amazing! This means you have..." he jumped onto a nearby rock and assumed a strong stance, puffing his chest out and flicking his hair back "...power!" he looked down at her with a big smile. He jumped off theatrically and pounced around for a bit "We can go places with no one caring! Woo!" He shouted, play swatting her

Eupe let his strong jaws loosen the fatal grip around the old kings neck. A thud echoed and dust scattered as the dead body made impact with the dry ground.
The pride members stood speechless as they watched, not only did they belive their king would have won but that he weren't even chasen away but killed by the rival spread terror among them.
Eupe turned his bulky body toward the pride members of The Lands Of Greed and looked at them with proud yellow eyes as their new rightful king and ruler.
His body was covered with bruises, cuts and blood dripping from his mane, jet he stood high and mighty infront of the anxious pride members as he took a seconds pause before he began to speak.
"Your previous ruler did not do you justice, his simple ways of just keeping territory instead of enlarging it was pathetic. With bigger land come more options, more glory and a better way of life. This lion did not even stand a chance when challenged by a real fighter. This lion could not protect you... but I can."
He paused to shake his cream and black colored barbary mane in a display of confidence toward his soon to be loyal subjects.
With an heavy inhale and puffed out chest he continued.
" I, Eupe, will achieve to bring this pride into its full potential. I shall make us the most feared and respected pride this world have ever laid eyes on.
We shall thrive!" He let out a majestic and loud roar and even though the pride was doubtful they choosed to follow his lead and roared with him.

Artemis was holding a cream colored cub in her jaws it wasn't her cub thats for sure the two looked nothing alike she placed the cub in front of Eupe. " congrats your now our new and possibly better leader and since little Shujaa here is the former kings cub and heiress to the throne i guess you should go and dispose of her if you want" she said maliciously as she pushed the cub closer to Eupe. Shujaa looked up at Eupe her eyes filled with fear and she was shivering a bit too. (i hope this post wasn't too bad). |

Eupe raised an eyebrow at the terrified cub who was close to crying then back at the scarred lioness.
"If this is the cub of the former king then she must be weak, even if her name means brave, hero, warrior I do not believe it."
He crouched down infront of the cub.
Eupe never hesitated killing another lion... except cubs. They were innocent, and easy to form into something useful, but this cub in particular was an heir to the old king, if anything a symbol of his still going legacy. But killing females made no sense if he wanted to grow his pride as much as possible.
"But I will not kill her." The cub's eyes glanced with hope again and Eupe stood up and looked at both Artemis and the rest.
" Every cub in this pride will be granted life, as long as I will be granted cubs. Even if the current young are not mine the number of subjects is what will make our pride strong." He glanced back at the female infront of him.
"And you will all get the chance to raise some really handsom and strong cubs." He slowly smirked at Artemis while flickering his tail "So what might this red pelted lioness name be?"

" my names Artemis the huntress and cub sitter and little Shujaa's step mother since her real mother died of a disease before you slayed out former king." she said with a small smile " i can tell your going to be far better than our former king". Shujaa then quickly ran towards and hid behind one of her front paws. |

Eupe chuckled softly "good thing I didn't dispose of the little warrior then. " He looked down at the cub and winked "Don't worry Shujaa, I can train you to live up to that name of yours."
Eupe puffed out his cream & black colored chest proudly hearing Artemis' flattery.
" I promise you there will be much improvement around here from now" he said with a smile. He turned around but stoped and looked back at Artemis " You'll have to excuse me but the body needs to be removed, I don't want the young ones to be scared. And I need to get this blood out of my mane before it dries." He bowed and said softly " I'll see you later my 'lady" with a bit of a grinned expression and a tail flickering.

Shujaa who was now left alone decided to follow Eupe and Artemis though keeping a distance away from them. |

He was happy to see them tag along. He chuckled " yeah I don't want my pride to be known for the flies haha. I must say I'm suprised you followed, most lions wouldn't offer to do the dirty lifting... literly speaking this time."
He bowed down and got a good grip onto the passed males upper back, waiting for Artemis to get a strong hold too. "Ready Artemis? We need to get him to the river so the strong stream wash him away" he mumbled while holding onto the male.

The earth will take him back. Eupe thought.
When the body disapered Eupe bowed his head in the cold water, trying to take away the blood and sand from his mane. When he got up he shaked his mane making water rain on Artemis and even Shujaa. With a hilarius looking flat mane eupe looked at them both " Oh damn, sorry sweethearts Didn't mean to" he chuckled at them " But I must say you guys look kinda funny"

" Good thing i don't have 3 scars on my face otherwise i would have looked like a fish " Artemis said jokingly " so what do you want to do next? go hunting for food maybe? the pride hasn't eaten for a few days and have you heard of The Golden Lands?" she said though she said The Golden Lands with slight disgust. Shujaa letted out a annoyed groan and shaked the water off her and started walking away from the two. |

Safi Mvua laid beside her small 'coalition' of siblings and offspring, watching the youngest cubs wrestle around in the small pond a few feet away from the resting place under the acacia trees. Soon enough, one of the youngsters got out of her eyesight, but that was normal, since every lion enjoyed exploring, no matter how lazy they actually were. Safi let out a loud huff and turned her head away for some relaxation, but of course, Sonrisi had to leap on her spine, the two others quickly following after. "Gotcha!" Furaha giggled, prodding the chinchilla
pelted lioness. Mvua couldn't help but giggle, whispering quietly to not wake up the others, "You sure did!, Wanna go explore?" She grinned as a chorus of "Yeah!"s exploded out of the small felines. "Lets go then~." Her inner cub spread throughout her body, making her spring out of her laying spot and bound off, finding the others right behind her, not a centimeter away. "Oh, today is gonna be a fun day!" She thought, cubs already chattering about what they would find and who they could meet.
(Sorry if that ending sucked a little bit.)

Alebrylla's ears perked. His sense of smell may have been terrible but the rest of his senses had compensated by becoming stronger. "Roars?" He mumbled. He looked at Sakura and before she could answer "Saku, I'm sorry I remembered I have something very important to do but I'll meet you here at dinner time" he smiled before bounding off. He ran and ran until he passes the river defining the boarder between the two lands. He ran through it, drenching his legs in water, partially red water. He stopped and looked quizzically at his paws "What the?". He searched for the bloods source until his eyes came to rest on a lifeless figure, caught on a rock. He ran to it, expecting the worst, and the worse was to be found. Alebrylla couldn't help but laugh a little, albeit sickened by himself doing so. "Hey there old man" he said, gently slapping slapping his mane as this perticular king had done condescensingly to him when he was younger. "Not so big and bad now are you?" he rhetorically asked whilst lying down. "What happened huh? Coup? Usurped? Figures, If you did what you did to me to everyone else they must all hate you" he laughed "You ruined my life you know?" he smiled sickengly once again "You ruined it!" he stood up and shouted viciously at the lifeless body "You took away everything I loved and left me to die! And for what?! I can't even remember anymore!" he dropped into his stomach sobbing "You ruined it!" he glanced at the caracas. "Dont just lie there, say something. Say something!" he screamed, then dropped his head "Alebrylla what are you doing? You're shouting at a dead body" he told hinself. He dried his tears and looked at the once powerful king, "Good riddance" he spat, kicking the body off of the rock and down the river, it taking him out of sight. Alebrylla stopped to check what he would do next. The king he wanted so very badly to face after his excommunication was dead but by who's hand? Surely he didn't die and fall into the river himself? He decieded to meet this lion or lioness. He walked further into the lands until he came to a gathering of lionesses. A few of the older ones and the older of the adolescence remembered him from when he was here before. "Alebrylla?" one called, an old, frail lioness by the name Misami. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm back" he smilled bumping heads with her "I'm back Misami"
"You musn't stay" she whispered, her voice shaking.
"What? Why? What is this?" he looked around.
"It's the new king, he's usurped the old one and self proclaimed himself ruler" tears welling in her eyes.
"Without anyone's help? Authority?" Alebrylla stunned, the old king he remembered was strong and powerful. "Where is h..." he voice trialled off as he spotted a broad lion walking near the rock beside the cave entrance. "Nevermind" he muttered as he ram towards him. "You there, 'King'" he shouted at the male, still mind undecided about him. He had killed the old ruler which was good for Alebrylla but he had done so with tyranny and viciousness not with permission from the tribe. A dictator in Alebrylla's mind, he didn't like dictators.

Looking at Artemis while walking back he answered " I've heard they're ruled by a golden quee-" Eupe stopped as a unfamiliar male lion with a chestnut colored mane sauddently interrupted him in a shout. Eupe looked at Artemis and told her with a low voice "I think this might be a good time to get in a safe distance with Shujaa" He looked back at the possibly intruder. This irritated lion before him was lean but strongly built, jet it was obvious that he was still quite young. He would been an easy match if a fight was needed Eupe thought as he scanned his objector. But then again... Eupe was already bruised and tired from the last fight... "Lion you are brave to talk to me with that tone.." He said with a low and sertain voice as he frowned his eyes and looked at him. Eupe shook off more water from his mane, trying to make it fluff up which was needed to make it like a coat of armor aroung his neck and chest. "Answer me quickly lion, are you part of this pride or not?!" He stood resolute before the other lion. (the suspense!  ) |

Quickly stepped in front of him brushing her head in his mane in the process she looked at Alebrylla in the eyes and growled "Don't even think about dethroning the possibly better king or you'll have to get pass the strongest lioness in the pride where do you think i got these scars on my body from? " she snarled she then stared at Alebrylla for a few seconds before speaking "say waren't you banished from this pride? i remember a male cub getting banished from here Alebrilliatia whatever its name was". (i'm just going to say that Artemis might have withenessd Alebrylla's banishment when she was a newly accepted pride member along with her now dead mother). |
