Gone forever (Private *Mane and Shadowhunter*)

[Ruby_Fehu]

Kovu sat at the edge of Pride Rock, he felt numb, his mate - his beloved Kito. Dead. He'd never see her again, her blinked vigorously trying to keep his tears away. He had to be strong for his cubs. With a sigh he turned to his children and nuzzled into them. "Come now, let's get you to bed." 


Nuka sat between his fathers paws his expression solemn. He looked up at the stars, wondering which one was his mother. His father had told him and his siblings about every animal who dies becomes a star and looks down on them. Protecting them. "Dad, which star is mum"?


Kovu looked up at the sky at Nuka's question, scanning the stars until a particularly bright one caught his eye,  it sparkled and winked at him. "That one, the brightest star of all because your mother was the brightest thing in all our lives." He sighed sadly, licking each cub in turn.

Tani began to cry, looking down at the floor. She was heart-broken. It was the worst thing in this case for her. "Daddy... promise me you won`t be with another lioness." She began to cry more before she looked up at her father.

Kivu let out a yawn "is it our fault that mommy got killed by the hyenas? Because I was.... too.. slow." She burst into tears. She highly believed it was her fault that her mother died. "-I just want Mommy to come back! " she wailed.

[Ruby_Fehu]

Kovu felt lost as he lay down, pulling his three cubs into the circle of his arms. "Listen to me, Tani I promise I won't be with another lioness ever. Your mum was the only one for me." He then turned to Kivu, "It's not your fault, it's no ones fault, accidents happen. Mummy was just too good for this world."


Kivu sniffled sadly and nodded as she snuggled up to Kovu, "Will you leave us daddy?"

"Never." He promised.


Nuka was silent as he stared at his mum's star, he didn't want to cry. He wanted to be strong for his sisters and his dad, he didn't want Kovu to have to deal with three cubs crying when he couldn't seem to cry himself.

Tani sat beside Nuka, looking up at the star. "I think mom will be happy now.." she gave a slight smile still looking at the sky. "I will miss you.."

Meanwhile Kiara slowly made her way to Kovu. "Kovu, im so sorry for your loss" she put on a fake frown. "But just think about it. Now shes gone, you can be a king.. your cubs will have a mother. So what do you say?" She sat close to Kovu, giving a glare towards Nuka.

Kivu joined her brother and sister, "I think she will. I hope she will." She said quietly.

Nuka looked up and cowered a little at Kiara's glare before turning back to his sisters.

Kovu rolled his eyes, "No Kiara. It's not happening. I don't want to be King OR your mate. My cubs have me and that is ALL I want."

"You don't even like us." Nuka snapped at Kiara gaining some courage.

Her tail twitched, as her eyes narrow. "Infact, im actually glad she's dead. Because when you ran.. I planned. She died.. because of .. you. You could've protected her. And that will haunt you for the rest of your life.. I killed her. You ran. She was doomed from the start" a cold laugh broke through the air.

Tani let out a small roar. "You evil witch! " she yelled.

Kiara swiped towards tani. Who fell over. And curled in a ball. Kiara then picked tani up, holding claws to her throat. "Be my mate or she dies"

[Ruby_Fehu]

"Tani!" Kovu gasped, he looked at his two cubs, cowering behind him. "Fine." He said slowly, "Just put my daughter down."

She placed Tani down on the floor. "King Kovu, has a nice ring to it don't you think?" She let out a laugh. A cold, laugh.

Tani squeaked and ran behind her dad.

Hidden in the bushes was none other than Kito, covered in scars, bruises, cuts. Blind in one eye. She rose from the bush making her way towards priderock. Her scent was noticeable.

[Ruby_Fehu]

"Yes." He grumbled coolly. "Come on kids, let's go for a walk to the Watering hole."

Nuka and Kivu nodded, both glaring up at Kiara, "I'll never call you my mum." Nuka said cruelly.

"You don`t need to" She smiled cruelly, and flexed her claws at them as she watched them walk away.

Kito was nearby, full of anger. She crept out of the bush, a twig snapping. "Whoops.." She whispered. Seeing Kovu coming this way, she had to act fast. But they would still be able to scent her out.

Tani glared at Kiara, before running ahead of her father. Sniffing the air she smelt something funny, weird. Familiar. "Dad, i think somebodys around here.."

[Ruby_Fehu]

"Hm? That's not possible Tani." He went over to his daughter and began sniffing the air himself before tensing, he recognised that scent. He'd recognise it anywhere, Kito, it wasn't possible though, she was dead. He'd saw her body battered and bruised. Not wanting to confuse his children he glanced down. "It's just a passing lioness kids. Now come along." He said, ushering them along quickly.

"But Daaaaad" Tani said in a whiny voice. As Kovu ushered them along, she reluctantly walked forward.

Kito got up from the bushes. She faced Kovu, the only thing you could see was one green eye glow, and a silver clouded glowing eye. A tear formed in her eye, as she began to walk off.

Kiara, watching the group from Afar, saw here. "That can`t be! She is supposed to be dead!" She said angrily, leaping from her perch and tackling Kito to the floor.

Kito gave out a familiar roar of pain, before attempting to get Kiara off of her. She was not going to win this. Not with the state of her now.

[Ruby_Fehu]

Kovu heard the roar and knew that he hadn't been imagining the scent. "Stay here." He warned his cubs before turning and bounding off towards the roar, he reached the pair as Kiara was about to bite Kito; without a second thought he dived at the Queen and knocked her off Kito, sending him and Kiara rolling a small distance away, dust surrounding them.

Kito got up, seeing kovu diving on Kiara and tackling him to the ground. Tani ran over to her mother. "Mom!" She said happily. She gasped seeing her father attack kiara.

Kiara let out an aggressive roar, hitting kovu around the face. "I almost had her!" She hissed under his weight.

[Ruby_Fehu]

Nuka and Kivu raced over to their mother too, "Mum!" They exclaimed, snuggling into her.

"You dare, you lied to me. You know she was alive. If I see you anywhere near her again or if you lay a PAW on my family I will tear you limb from limb. No mercy." He growled menacingly.

She pulled each of her cubs into an embrace. "Im so glad your okay" she said happily.


Kiara remains silent. She could exile him.. but she had a better plan. "Very well then. Kovu, you win"

[Ruby_Fehu]

Kovu cocked his head to one side, "I do?" He asked in surprise.

"Mummy! I thought you were dead!" Kivu whined.

Kiara smiled. "Yes. You do.." As kovu got off her she pounced on him, holding her paw hard on his throat.

Tani snuggled into her mothers fur. She cried. "I.. missed you so much mom" she smiled at Kivu and hugged her. "Stay here, I need to help your father" she ran over to Kiara, tackling her to the floor.

Kiara growled, swiping at Kito's wounds, she caught a long scar that ran along her side.

Kito let out a roar of pain, as she began to bleed. Before Kiara could react, kito bit her throat. After a struggle kiaras body was lifeless. Kito collapsed to her side. "Go and get help" she said to Kovu.

Tani ran over curling into kitos side "mom! Don't die again!"

Kovu gasped, his eyes wide, not being able to move out of shock.

"We'll go." Nuka and Kivu said in time before the pair quickly ran off, it wasn't that far for them at all. As they reached Pride Rock Nala walked out wearily and was surprised when she saw the two cubs. "What's going on?" Nala asked in shock.

"Mum is hurt! Kiara tried to kill her." Nuka gasped and Nala looked at them in blind confusion before racing off calling for Simba who appeared moments after looking confused before he followed his panicked mate.

The cubs followed the elder lions and Kivu ran head long into Nala who stopped dead. "Kiara." She gasped, noticing her daughter. She then turned to Kovu and Kito, "What did you do?" She demanded of the lions.

Kito was laid on the floor, standing up, wobbling slightly. She would tell them the whole story. She sat down facing them. "It all started when me and Kovu became mates. Kiara was blind with jealousy. She has made many death-threats towards us, so after I had the cubs we left. Kiara sent a small group of lioness to follow us. When Kovu was out with the cubs, they attacked me. And as you can see.." Her blind eye was apparent, a long scar running down her side, and long scars running down her blind eye. "Kovu mistook me for dead. I traveled back here, only to have Kiara attack me, Kovu saved me. Then Kiara tricked him to think she had surrendered until she pinned him down and began to choke him. And I protected him. Banish us if you must. " she sighed, knowing they would possibly be banished. She held her cubs close to her.

[Ruby_Fehu]

Nala and Simba stood in silence. "You killed our daughter." Nala growled.

"I WILL exile you, leave now." Simba demanded.

"Simba..." Nala began.

Kovu sighed, he'd made a home here. His sister was here. He didn't want his children to experience the terrible life he had before he joined Pride rock.

"Only I will go, as I was the one who did it. My cubs and mate do not deserve to suffer because of my actions. But you must remember. Your daughter was not the innocent one. I know of your Uncle simba. She was going down the same route." They were not very wise if they let their daughter off. She stood up, and began walking away.

[Ruby_Fehu]

"No, if you go. I'll go." She glared at Simba. "I want to speak to Vitani first though. Now." He said harshly.

"I'll go and get her." Nala said turning and walking off.

Kivu and Nuka stood side by side looking between the two lions with a slightly fearful look.

Tani stood between her mothers legs. Her emotion was one of pure horror.

Kito stood in place. She had done it again. Ruined somebody's life. And this time it was hers and Kovu's.

Very soon. Vitani had arrived.

[Ruby_Fehu]

Nala arrived with the younger lioness and Kovu stepped forward, "So Kito and I have been exiled sis. I'm just telling you so you don't wonder where we are, but I'm going to miss you. Enjoy yourself here and don't stand up for yourself-" he glared at Simba, "If someone attacks you or your loved one you have to let them or else you'll end up an outsider, okay." He nuzzled his sister before turning to Kito, "Let's go."



(I have an idea! What if Vitani goes back to Pride rock, tells the outsiders and out of loyalty they follow Kovu and Kito and like one by one Simba and Nala's pride join them until they have no pride?)

Her tail swished, she felt bad for Kovu. Having to leave his sister behind, and the pride he grew up in. She glared pure hatred at both Simba and Nala.
It would've been okay, if she hadn't killed Kiara. They would still be happy. She hugged Tani with a paw, and nuzzled her.
Tani hugged her mothers giant paw.

[Ruby_Fehu]

"Come on kids, let's go. Vitani tell the Pride what's happened." Kovu said as Nuka and Kivu followed their mother.

(Should I take Vitani?)

Kito slowly began to walk off, keeping the cubs close to her. She began to pick up the pace.

Tani sighed, running to catch up with her mother.

[Ruby_Fehu]

(Probably best haha I have like 5 or 6 characters at the moment o.o')

Kovu knowing what Kito was doing picked Nuka and Kivu up and swung them around onto his neck before catching up to Tani and putting her on his back before following Kito easily. "I'm not losing you again Kito, nice try though." He said calmly.

Her tail flicked. "Im not trying to, get away from you again. I just wanted the best for the cubs. Its my fault anyway" her head was hung low.

Tani laughed as she rid on her fathers back.
