Kito yawned and fell into a deep slumber, she woke up at night. "Wow, that was a good rest, wait wheres kovu?" She also felt the presence missing presence of the cubs. She stood up and wandered outside to the ceremony.

Kovu who had taken his children along to the ceremony, just to let Kito rest was perched in the cave mouth of Pride Rock with Vitani and Nala either side of him, Nuka, Kivu and Tani curled up at his feet.
"As you all know, my father is now dead." Kiara began pacing back and forth her expression solemn. "Seeing as I did not become betrothed I have the right to choose any male I wish. And as you all can see there is only one eligible male in this pride." She turned to Kovu. "You're my mate King Kovu."
"No!" Kovu started but was stopped when Kiara laughed coldy.
"If you say no, I will kill each and everyone of your cubs and make you watch."
"Not if I send them away with their mother."
"Then we will find her and kill her also. However if you become my mate we shall raise the cubs well and have many more of our own. The choice is yours Kovu."
Kovu stood silent, feeling the many eyes on him, taking a deep breath he closed his eyes.
(Muhaha cliffhanger)

Kito heard this coming out of the cave, then she charged out angrily and slammed into kiara sending her across the floor she pinned kiara down by the throat and pressed on tight. "You will do no such thing you monster! " kito started slashing at kiara from anger.

'Kito no!' Kovu cried out, he went to the pair and separated. 'I will be your mate Kiara yet you must promise to keep Kito and my cubs safe.'. He sighed heavily.
(I've got an idea for Kovu so I'm not ending the rp)

(Okay) "What!?" Kito cried out. "I thought i belonged here" She sneered "Yet all you fools bow and scrape down to your new tyrant! YOU WOULD OBEY HER ORDERS TO KILL 3 INNOCENT CUBS? LET HER STAND THERE AND LEAD YOU ALL TO DESPAIR, WOULD YOU JUST LET HER STAND THERE AND THREATEN TO KILL 3 CUBS? AND ME so be it" She ran to the cubs and picked the up, she then made her way from Priderock and ran. Tears flying from her face.

Kovu watched after Kito before glaring at Kiara. "Happy now?" He demanded.
"Yes." She smirked. "Come now, the pride must sleep." Kiara led the way and Kovu followed with a grimace.
Kovu followed but didn't sleep he waited until all the lionesses were sleeping before standing up and sneaking out of the cave, "Where are you going Kovu?" A voice behind him asked and he swung around to come face to face with Nala.
"Too find Kito, I'm not leaving her. Please tell Kiara I'm hunting or something?" Nala nodded and allowed Kovu to run off.
It took Kovu most of the night but he followed Kito's scent until he found her. "Kito." He began. "I have a plan for us to be together." Kovu said.

"What? Kiara will kill us if she finds out" Kito said partially in fear the cubs at her feet started mewling so kito plopped down on her side and fed them.

"I'll remain the perfect mate for a couple of weeks then when she thinks I've forgotten you we'll run. Until then I will visit you every evening and either bring you some meat or watch our children whilst you hunt." He said. "I don't want to lose you." He sighed, nuzzling her deeply.

"I'll meet you here tomorrow when the moon is at it's highest point. I love you." He said before nuzzling her and running off to pride rock, quietly he went to the sleeping form of Kiara and settled down for the night.

"Ok, see you then" she nuzzled him sadly. "I'm gonna miss you" she curled around the cubs protectivly. All of a sudden nuka piped up. "Daddy! Daddy!" Kito smiled at him.

As promised Kovu visited his family every evening and Kiara was none the wiser. Then came the day they ran. Kovu had been hunting and dropped some meat down for Kito. 'Eat, then we'll leave.' He smiled.

Kito ate hungrily recently the cubs eyes had opened, Kivu had blue eyes like her mother Nuka had green eyes and Tani had green eyes.
"Lets go then" Kito got up and carried Nuka and Kivu. "You get Tani" She got ready to run. "We need to head north, then we will see a strange rock formation."

Kito got up and ran, faster than she had ever ran before she looked back at priderock before turning and going North. It was getting to dawn and the rock formation was in the distance. "We, need to push ourselves... harder" She said out of breath but she continued running until she reached the formation. "Rest or continue?" She said speedily.

"Theres no caves, were gonna have to rest outside" she put Nuka and Kivu on the floor. "Mommys resting stay here okay?" Ok ! The cubs squeaked. Kito rested her head on the floor and fell asleep. Morning soon fell but Nuka had wandered off.

Kito looked behind her to see Kovu. "Kovu, this is my mother Azola"
"Mom, meet Kovu, my mate, Kivu, Tani and Nuka my cubs"
"Wow, so im a grandparent now!"

"Oh this little fella?" Azola pushed out a small cub that was Nuka.
"Nuka, never run off again!" Kito scolded.
"Well, i better be off then" Said Azola
"Where to?" Kito asked.
"Home" Was all Azola said before trotting off then running.
