Kito smiled as she laid down on her side in the grass. She groomed herself happily and hummed a small chune.

Kovu settled beside a large rock, watching Kito closely.
Kiara who'd also been following Kito appeared in front of her, 'How dare you.' She hissed.

Kitos ears flattened against her head her face formed into shock "How can i trust you?" She regained her defensive composure.

Kovu would retreat from behind the rock.

She glared at Kiara whom was now walking away. Then her ears twitched when she heard movement. She shrugged it off and went back to the cave. She huffed and attacked a rock angrily settled down and waited for kovu to come back.

Kovu returned to the cave a few minutes later and padded towards Kito.

(A few weeks later)
Kito was getting closer to her due date, and simba had fallen to his demise due to a life- threatning illness, and thus came the day where kiara had to find a mate, both Kito and kovu dreaded it.
"Shes gonna exile us" Kito huffed and paced around in the cave worried sick.

Kovu sat watching Kito with a frown. "Don't worry my love, she won't Nala won't allow it. We just need to focus on keeping the cubs safe.
There was the sound of approaching footsteps and Kovu swung his head around snarling. "Calm down Kovu. It's me." Came Nala's voice. Kovu stopped his snarls and watched as the mourning lioness walked into sight. "I'm here to tell you Kiara will be announcing who her mate is on the day of the next full moon. She asks everyone to be there." Nala explains she, turns her full attention to Kovu, "I'm sorry for all the trouble she's been giving you. Now though, with Simba gone, I can't do anything. Her rules now." Nala hung her head sadly. Kovu went to the lioness who always looked at like his mother. "Calm down Nala, just sort yourself out. Kito and I will manage ourselves." With a reassuring nuzzle Nala nodded and walked off.
