Kala was impressed at the way that Wingu had taken down the zebra. She walked towards him, saying in amazement, "Wow, that was pretty impressive for a male lion. Most guys I know just leave the hunting to the girls. How'd you learn that?" She sat down and began to rip into the zebra, savoring the taste of it.

Nuri cam up and inspected the catch pawing it's neck, "I agree with Kala... but it takes to much energy taking a beast down by your own, I would know.... Let's say, it was... impressive?" She said quietly, not used to complimenting, and looked at Wingu skeptically, " May I eat?" she asked her whole body quivering, she didn't like this whole submissive, nice talk, and it was getting to her.

(OOC: I'm not posting anything today, guys, I just don't have it in me. I've got a funeral of a close family member (Grandma) to go to today. Just please keep me in your prayers. I'll just post after Wingu does, probably tomorrow.)

-Thank you, and of course, eat. WEll, I have nbeen alone quite a while. I train every day, and I hunt a lot. You eat first. Yeah I know, it's not normal for a male. II'm not normal. I"m a rogue's son.- Wingu told and still didn't even touch the zebra.

Kala looked up, smiled and said, "That's ok. If you think about it, nobody's really normal anyway. We all have something that makes us not normal. Doesn't matter who your parents are. Everybody has some amount of crazy in thier family. Wouldn't you agree, Nuri?," Kala asked, now looking at the younger lioness.

Akira had been laying in the tall grass slightly shaded from the beating sun. Her breathes were quick and her nose was dry from the intense rays of sun, but her fur was cool in small patches where the grass had shaded her. Her ears began to circle around like radars when she hear three lions in the distance about 60 yards off. She could hear the scampering feet of zebra's running and could envision the panic in their eyes. She forced herself onto her paws and began to walk towards the ruckus hoping that maybe there would be a lion or lioness willing to hunt for her. Akira is only an 8 month old cub that cannot hunt for herself. She has no recognition how to; her parents did not stick around to teach her. She knew this may be her only chance for food... She was going for it. (OOC: The attachment is a picture of Akira) Attachments:

(OOC: Too cute!)
Kala's oversensitive ears caught the sound of another lion coming towards them. "Do you two hear that? Someone's coming toward us. I'll go check it out," she said, starting to walk away from her meal.

(OOC: Haha. Thanks ^_^)
Suddenly it wasn't voices she was hearing.. She started hearing foot steps. Akira didn't know what to expect, a lion, prey, or a predator. She kept a sharp eye on look-out and used her keen sense of smell to sniff the air around her, hoping she would pick up some kind of scent; problem was she's shorter than the grass. Each individual blade had masked the scent and shielded her vision only allowing her to see about seven feet in front of her. This distance wouldn't allow her any time to escape. Was she about to be sentenced to a painful death, or had she just found her life saver?
Akira crouched lower to the ground and began to take long but slow strides. She could feel how firm the dirt was beneath her paws where the grass was thinning. She began to think to herself, "Well Akira... This may be it. I love you mom and dad, wherever you may be."

Kala stopped just short of the newcomer. She thought, oh, she looks so young and so scared. I'll just see what does next. I don't want to startle her.

Akira slowly approached the lioness with a look of terror on her face. She stayed alert for any sudden movements that may seem of a threat but at the same time is was pointless. If the lioness's real intention was to hurt her she would have no chance of escaping. "Keep cool.. You don't know her intentions. But you can't keep fretting about it, your hungry..." she thought to herself.
Her stomach growled with the high intense volume of an earthquake. She lowered her head and kept her ears pinned down. It seemed she had a frog in her throat; her voice cracked as she said, "H-h-hi. D-do you h-have f-f-food?"

Kala's heart broke as she stared at the cub. She couldn't have been more than 7 or 8 months old. She spoke softly so as not to startle her. "Yes. I have food. Do you want to come with me? I won't hurt you, I promise." Kala smiled at her, and waited for the young cub's response.

Akira's heart was pounding with an immense amount of power, but as the lioness spoke of promises, food, safety, and company her heart began to calm and her mind was filled with the pleasures of living again. She was still scared but those words spoken to her gave her a light of hope and belief that someone out there may be there for her; but for how long? Would she eat then be sent off on her way to procure food for herself? She could not bare to think about the future at this time, right now was present and in present time, she shall be cared for.
She slowly raised her head and her ears softened and were less tense. "Please take me with you.. I am awfully hungry." Her voice was softer and not so harsh. Her muscles loosened and her body felt somewhat at ease.

"Ok, come on, then. We've got a nice, fresh zebra that you can share. I've got a few friends I'd like you to meet. Then I'll make sure you get home safe. Where do your parents live?," she asked while starting to head back to the kill. She hoped the young cub was following her as she made her way back to Nuri and Wingu.

Nuri had been lost thinking about family, her face was completely blank as she had a blast from the past, "Shaking her head she looked at Kala and noticed the cub, "Oh brother...more lions." She mumbled quietly and attempted to grin at Wingu, "Thank..you. then?" she half asked half said as she ripped part of the zebra away from the beast and retreated to a nearby rock.

She followed the lioness close behind not allowing more than one foot between them. She sniffed the air and could smell the over-powering scent of a fresh kill that lay cold on the earths surface; finally, the meat was in her line of vision! Her mouth began to produce mass amounts of saliva and her tongue, dry as the desert, had quickly become wet again. Her stomach had begun celebrating before she could even taste the juicy meat that had been sacrificed by the still zebra. She ran to the carcass without hesitation and began to feast on it's warm flesh and muscle without even realizing there were others that surrounded her. Quickly she stopped feasting and dashed behind the lioness she had met prior. Her tail slipped between her legs and hugged the bottom of her stomach and her body began to quiver with fear.
"A-a-are these the others you w-wanted me t-to meet?" As for now they did not seem to attack her and looked as if they did not pose a threat. Her focus was again on the lioness she had already met, "M-my name is Akira.. And don't know w-where my parents are... I don't even know if they are a-ali...", she paused. She did not want to say it. She thought to herself, "If I say it, would I jinx my chances of ever seeing them again?" After a long moment of silence she continued her sentence, "I don't even know i-if they're a-a... alive."

"No problem. And who would this be? Want a pieace of zebra?" Wingu riped a part of the zebra and went a bit aside, so the cub won 't be scared so much.

"I'm Kala and this is Wingu. The lioness that just left is Nuri. She's not very sociable, but Wingu's nice." The cub kind of reminded her of what she'd so recently lost. No, she wouldn't think about that. Instead, she asked, "Did your parents abandon you? Is that why you're out on your own, Akira?"

Nuri by now had chewed into the bone of the Zebra and crack it with her jaws, she rolled her eyes somewhat at her description and continued to eat. Another Castaway...isn't that how all lions are. She couldn't even remember her parents much herself, she'd always considered Zira to hold that position...until she died, of course.

Her muscles relaxed and her tail had fallen from her stomach. Seeing that Wingu nor Nuri posed a threat she glanced at Kala then quickly walked over to the zebra and began to eat. Minutes had passed by before she had taken her mouth away from the still zebra. Her stomach looked as if it had grown a slight bulge from the large amount of food she had eaten. She licked her muzzle and her nose; finally, she felt full again. This was the first time in over a week.
She looked at Wingu, then Kala. "Well.. I don't know if my parents had abandoned me.. I hope they hadn't, but then that might mean their.. d-dead. I woke up in the morning over a week ago and they were.. Just gone." Suddenly a look of puzzlement waved over he face, "I wouldn't even know where to start looking. My mom always told me 'Love will find the pathway of destiny', but I never truly knew what she meant by that." She walked over to Kala's shadow, laid down and stretched her legs as far as they could reach.

Kala pondered those words as she watched Akira. They were pretty confusing to her, too. She finished her own meal and laid down for a nap, her belly full of good meat. She moved quietly, so as not to startle the cub. She whispered, "Maybe when you're older, you'll understand what she meant. Any advice my parents gave me when I was your age, I never understood at the time either." She smiled as she laid her head down on her paws.

Nuri sighed, that's one thing she never got. Advice. It was always, 'we will fufill Scar's goals, yadda yadda yadda....' she snapped the bone that she was gnawing at in jealousy, and stood up, stretched and walked over to the other three.

Akira thought to herself, "I wish I knew what you meant mother.. Did you leave me so I would come here? What do you mean?!" This had ate at her mind like termites on wood for what seemed like hours but had only been minutes. She raised her head and looked around, smelling the air, observing her surroundings, sweeping the ground with her tail, and tasting the zebra she had earlier masticated. She thought more to herself, but this puzzle could not be attached. She raised herself to all four paws and began to walk towards Nuri.
As she got closer and closer to Nuri her mind became blank; she thought of nothing but the sound of the soft breeze itself. She sat down in front of her and stared, "Hi." Akira did not feel the need to introduce her name because she previously stated it and if Nuri wanted to know she would have listened in to the conversation from earlier.

" Really, yada yada? Your mother then was just like Moja's little liar. He was allways telling that we have to do something." Wingu said, and returned to the zzebra. Not much left, but he ain't leaving anything for the hyeenas. His mmuzzle was all blody, so he quietly dissapiereed.

Kala raised her head up and watched the other two closely. This would be a real test of Nuri's personality, how she would treat a younger cub. She started to rise to her feet, ready to intervene if Nuri did anything to hurt Arkira. Again, a memory invaded her mind. Another cub, her daughter, it had happened nearly 2 years ago, but the memory of that incident was still as fresh in her mind as if it happened yesterday. She probably looked pretty weird spaced-out like that.

Nuri clicked her claws on a slab of rock at her paws as she layed down again, she raised her brows as the cub came up to her.
"Hello cub." She said, somewhat dismissively and proceeded to wash her paw. She paused momentarily as she studied Kala at a distance and huffed.
"So... you have lost your parents?" She asked slightly sympathetic as she continued to wash he paw. She was not going to be shown up by Kala, it just wasn't her style.

Kala relaxed, then was confused by her just slightly sympathetic tone. She decided that Nuri was just a confusing lioness. She waited for Akira's answer.

She looked back at Kala, then at Nuri again. Her facial expression saddened at the thought, but maybe she'll just have to get used to it for a while; maybe even for the rest of her life. She raised her head so she could look Nuri in the eyes, "Yes, I lost my parents. I only wish I knew where they were but maybe this is my destiny?" Her tail was long and droopy and her ears lay flat as a board. If this was her new destiny why was she here? Was this where she would make her new home? Or would her parents search for her? Who knew. Akira's only goal now was survival, only then will she live long enough to find answers.
She looked back at Kala again and stared in her eyes for seconds with a blank look then looked back at Nuri and approached her till she was about two feet away. "May I?", she asked as she motioned to the ground asking for permission to lay.

Nuri stiffened slightly. This cub was pushing her patience, and any kindness she held, to their extreme. She'd heard enought talk about 'destiny' in her cubhood and it just made her want to shudder with revulsion. She considered a pact though. Niceness never went without reward...or so she heard.
"As long as you don't look at me in the eyes like that again." She said, restraining herself from snapping, "Its rather disconcerning." She added before laying he head on her paws and clicking a claww on a stone underneath her.

Wingu returned, this time, whit a clean muzzle. He turned to Akira and looked at her closely. The cub was familiar... "Have I met you before? You seem..." ( Refering to A new point of view Rp)
