Kikome turned his head to Charlie and smiled faintly
"If none if us had trusted each other up until now, after all the things we have been through, we wouldn't all be here" Kikome said gently

"We all have trust in each other, just some may not know or feel it as strong as others do...sometimes its just sub-concious" Kikome paused

"The fact of us needing each other is exactly the same aswell."

Kikome took a deep breath and looked at all the surrounding, and now how calm everything had become
Kikome, shifted his head right close to Charlie's, so that they were pretty much touching, and then kikome spoke quietly, so only Charlie could hear.

"When say a problem arises, you can run away from it, or forget about easily, but we all know for a fact that the problem will someday return, and most likley alot harder to face. I...us...we all have been running away for too long Charlie....too long"

Kikome digs his paws into the ground

"The ones i hold close have slowly been taken away from me, from this problem, it almost taken away my only daughter. It will take away anyone who don't agree or abide to it. If this problem isnt sorted out, none of us can guarantee our own positive future. Some day we will need to face it, or else we will all just get picked off...one by one."

Kikome sighed and looked around to make sure he wasn't grabbing any attention

"We all have to start making our own decisions Charlie in what we are going to do and how we are going to write our future, just that at this time, some of us are too young or vulnerable to make that decision, and if we are not careful or run out of time, we may have to make decisions for them and fast, for their sake. There are lives to look after".

Kikome sheathed his claws

"That is what is plaguing my mind right now, and i cannot sleep because of it, Im worried sick about everyone's future here"

"Look what happened when Seleter ran away from problems that faced us today?, it almost brought a entire slaughter of our group, we cannot ever do that again"

Kikome sighed and slumped on the floor.

"Anyway, You best get some sleep Charlie, its best to discuss this further when you all have re-charged, I will try and make a pathetic attempt to relax, try and re-gain some strength by sleep"

Kikome turned his head away.

[Dakota]

Charlie stood there listening to the words that were for his ears only. In one way they reassured him and in others it nearly made the fur on his back stand up on end. he wasn't sure if Kikome was suggesting they stand their ground and stay and fight, or to move off after they were all rested and find somewhere else to live and make plans to bring the downfall of Scar and Zira.

Once the lion had laid himself back on the ground with a sigh and his eyes closed,it ended all attempts at any more conversation between them. Taking the hint the black lion moved away to stand back by Nala and Fire. Casting his eyes over the group, Charlie sighed to himself. They had three cubs, and a pregnant Seleter, who was only partly conscious, what a great lot they would be to fend off Scars cronies if he should happen to have them tracked down, it would be a blood bath for the weaker ones, something Charlie couldn't even think about.

Looking up as Nala came to stand beside him, Charlie stared at her. Here was one that had been through so much and yet fought on. Hearing her questions asking him about what had happened in the last 24 hours, the lion filled her in briefly, ending with how Zira was Kikome's long lost sister, and he just wasn't sure if that was a curse or a blessing to them all.
