Adolescent Ages

[Fire]

His eyes had ignored Zira since there was no use in trying to follow her, probably have a pack of hyenas on call at her bidding. The red-maned lion turned to Nala and Ranger and said "We need to meet up with Charlie. I spotted him yonder in the land over on the opposite side of Zira and he's more than likely with that other lion." Fire paid his attention now to the little cub. "Listen little dude. You just gotta hold on for just one more second and then you can meet some of the other cubs as well!" He says with a small chuckle, but then gets into a serious mood as he was thinking of just what was in store for the group.

He motioned a paw for them to follow him through the jungle, breaking away from the foliage that seperated the grasslands from the jungle. When he hit that boundary, his light job turned more into that full-tilt sprint that he was doing before to try and catch up to the unknown lion and Charlie, thanking god that he was all right and that nothing had happened to him.

Robara opened her eyes a little, looked around, stretched out and sat up. She looked tired, down at Cat "well.. My name is Robara.." she said, and looked into the jungle, and looked at Cat again. She jumped down from the rock "thats why it was hard to sleep.. Well eeh.. Where were you going?" she asked stil looking at Cat.

Remba had been sitting down close to Sukari while Seleter had been caring for them, when the cheetah had started growling, and her claws scratched at the ground.
Lifting her head she looked up between Seleter's backs legs and past her tummy and through the front legs, Rembas eyes widening when she saw an ugly hissing hyena standing there, and then it lept at the cheetah knocking her to the ground. She knew she wasn't big enough to go help and Sukari couldn't either seeing as she was hurt already, so the cub stepped back slowly and was pushing and pulling her friend back under the bush that they had been sitting in front of. She needed to try and hide themselves, hoping Kikome and Charlie would come and find them before anything bad happened.

Nala's turned and looked at the cub sharply when he asked her why they had to keep quiet, she didn't bother replying but gave him another glare and turned her attention back to what they were seeing in front of them , while they were still hidden behind the safety of the bushes.

Seeing Fire gesture at her and Ranger, Nala slowly stepped back away, watching where her paws were placed on the ground, so as not to give away their position, last thing they needed was Zira on their trail.
Soon they all had gone from a slight jog into a full run, with the cub still clinging to Fire's back. Nala's eyes latched onto the sight he made, with the red mane flying out at all directions from the breeze pushing back against his fur, and the leaness of his body twisting as he ran. Not watching where she was going, her paw caught on a tree root and nearly tripped her over, stumbling for a second the lioness righted herself and moved back into position once again.
We have to reach Charlie and soon, and where are Seleter and the cubs, it's jmust not safe with Zira hanging around out here..just too close..

Kyto was bouncing up and down as Fire ran to catch up to the one they called Charlie.Kyto was going so fast that he yelped."Augh!!!"Kyto didnt know what was going on. But he did know that Nala said there were cubs. And he wanted to play with them really bad so Kyto clung on hard to Fire's back extracting his claws while Fire ran.

Cat shrugged "I was just wandering. That's what a wanderer tends to do" She remarked with a smirk. "Nice name" She added as she eyed the jungle.

"So, do you know anything about this place?" Cat asked, eager to know more.

"Or should we go and find somebody who does?" She continued.

As the group ran off Afya frowned but got over it quickly. She was safe. She tried to get her head round what had just happened, the conversation had been hard to hear. But it seemed she was wrong. This other lion was a friend of Charlie's, or somebody he knew. It seemed Seleter had been seperated from Charlie...he had mentioned a Sukari, whoever they were.

As she stared into space she realised that she hadn't seen where Zira had dissapeared to. She grinned. That was a way to win their trust back. She could go and stop Zira from finding them. Or delay her at least. So the adolescent got to her feet and began running in the direction Zira had gone. She tried to banish doubts from her mind. Despite being a silly little lioness, she would do this and prove them wrong. Prove her dead father wrong too. She wasn't daddy's little coward. She was almost an adult. She could do it.

"Hmm.. This place, what do i know?.." She looked around "trees? Well, lets go out and find somebody. I wanna know who has started that, whatever is going on." she said. She began to walk toward the jungle in a lazy pace. "so, how much do you know?" Robara asked.

[This Land]

Sukari Started to panic, But with her injuries she couldnt dart off anywhere to try and get attention. She looked over at Seleter lying on the ground after being tackled. Sukari's eyes soon widened and went glossy, it was almost the exact same situation with her and her Past mum, and that big Hyena.....she had seen him before, he was the leader, and the leader always gets the last kill, which was then when something mentally hit her.....so powerful it could of literally, physically knocked her over. And no matter how bad or fatal the consequences could be, her mind locked out of that, all she knew was......it was revenge!

Sukari started to feel different ......her body stopped shaking.....her eyes went back to normal and her eyes locked onto Seleter and the massive Hyena towering over her.
No more cowering......I have had enough
Hyenas were now scattered everywhere, but she now just seen them as any other animal. She kept her eye locked onto the Big Hyena.......the murderer. Sukari's Injuries to her legs reminded her of her weakness at this time, but she was too much like her Dad, she has made a decision and nothing will stop her.

Sukari crouched back...ready to pounce, only to be swiped from behind by a Hyena, sending her flying into Seleter. She quickly rose back to her paws; she looked up at the big Hyena laughing hard by what the attacking hyena had just done to her. As the hyena kept laughing harder and harder, Sukari’s Anger grew fiercer within her. The Hyena Lifted its head way up high into the air while it laughed, which is when Sukari released her anger. She roared as loud as her voice could let her. She Darted on top of Seleter's head and sprung as hard as her leg's let her, the pain from her injuries was there but was now blinded by her anger and set decision. Sukari flew through the air; she bared her claws and opened her mouth.
Sukari's Claws sunk into the Hyena's Skin and she Bit tight down as hard as she could. The Hyena let out a massive cry of Agony. Sukari Felt her fur get soaked in blood immediately, she must have hit a main vein or artery. Sukari did not look into what her fate now was, all she hoped about was that this Hyena would die. Before she could think any more, she felt the base of her Tail being grabbed and Yanked violently, Sukari has been pulled away from the Hyena, with skin still in her claws and mouth which she immediately spat out and let go of.

The next thing Sukari seen, was her flying through the air after being thrown by the Hyena who pulled her off.
Sukari disappeared through the trees.

Kikome listened to what Charlie had said, and after he had finished, Kikome nodded in respect
"Thank you” he said in Awe.
Kikome watched as Charlie Darted into the Jungle
"I hate the Jungle, it has been nothing but trouble, and if I am to find them, it’s like finding a thorn in a waterhole, it was a miracle I found them last time" Kikome said to himself
Kikome Sat down and took a breath of air, he opened all his senses
Zira seeing and talking to me was no coincidence, it couldn’t have been.
Kikome Eyes Flashed
It was a Decoy!
Kikome paused in thought
But what would she not want me to detect going past us?
Kikome then clicked onto what it was. Kikome roared and darted to the forest but then stopped just outside.
Don’t try and find the cheetah's path......find the hyena's path, the scents would be much stronger
Kikome looked to the left and right adjacent to him where the forest started. It was a 50/50 chance, and he turned right. He Ran up the border of the forest as fast as he could....trying to detect the slightest clue of where the hyena's had entered...if they did even enter ahead of this direction.

After running for a while, Kikome stopped to re-gain his breath
They couldn't of came this direction...they wouldn’t of came up this way so far.....I’ll have to turn back and try the other direction
Kikome took a few more deep breaths to get the energy back into his system, he turned around to go back to the other way, to see a branch sticking out slightly.....with the leaves reflecting the faint moonlight, they where wet with something. Just on the crazy off-chance, he gave the leaves a few sniffs, then a big grin appeared on his face.
Gotcha!
Kikome Then darted into the Jungle

Kikome now knew if he tried to follow the continuing scent, it would just slow him down, He had now found where they came in, so he done what the dim animals would normally do, just go straight, so that's what he did. Kikome ran as fast as he could, using every breath wisely and every step as large as possible. He was having many close hits with trees and stumbles from roots, but his eyes locked onto only one thing , which was the distance ahead.

After a short while, he started to give up on hope when suddenly he heard the call of the Hyena. He took scents through his nose once again, they were just up ahead. He gave his legs one final push of speed, he lowered his head and leapt through some tree's where the sounds where coming from. While he was in the air, a grin appeared on his face from the coincidence as he was heading straight for a Hyena Already. As His legs landed on the back of the Hyena, He pushed all his four legs down as hard as he could, causing double his weight to be transferred onto the spine of the Hyena, a loud Snap echoed around them both, this push caused Kikome to slightly go back into the air again, but in which he landed down onto the ground by beside the Hyena, which laid Motionless.
His Roar thundered through the air and ploughed through the ground.

His eyes locked onto the largest of the Hyena's, which would be the dominant one, but of which was also badly injured and bleeding heavily from the neck, Kikome Bared his Claws.

Remba was trying so hard to drag Sukari away from the hyenas, she knew she wasn't big enough to attack them, so she had to look after her friend and just pray that Seleter would be okay., she had moved her a little bit back further once again, when the cub started to growl and shook her off making her fall backwards on the ground.

As she lay there she watched as Sukari
charged past Seleter and landed on the biggest Hyenas back and was using her teeth and claws to fight it. Remba didn't know what to do, but she wasn't going to sit there and just watch. Slowly she moved herself along the ground getting closer and closer to Seleter, until she came up on one side. Trying not to draw attention to herself, and with being able to partially hide by seleter, she started whispering to her.

" Seleter, you can't do anything, let me help you move back, you have your baby you have to care about, come on please help me push and pull you."

Remba was trying to be so brave and hold back her tears, she didn't have anyone except Seleter and maybe Charlie, if she had to she would jump on her back and try and cover seleters head and face so the hyenas couldn't hurt her anymore.

"Seleter..please help me to move you"

Remba jumped when she heard a large crashing noise come towards them and got louder and louder till at last she saw Sukaris father charging at the hyenas, but at the same time saw the cub being thrown away thru the bushes.
"COME ON SELETER..NOW.. Kikome is here and Charlie wont be far away, you have to move, NOW HELP ME PLEASE">

Charlie's heart seemed to beat in rhythm with his large black paws as they slammed down onto the round beneath him, urging himself on even harder, he wasn't caring of where his feet landed or what was crushed under them, it was now of the utmost urgency to get back and find the others, there wasn't really much they could do to defend themselves if they were out numbered.

Through the jungle he moved as overhead foliage tugged at his black mane, pulling out small pieces of fur that was left entangled in twisted vines, leaving notice that he had come by in great haste.
As he rounded a corner Charlie blinked rapidly, he could have sworn far over on his right, he'd glimpsed something red. Not willing to take his eyes off what was ahead of him and take a better look, he plunged on ahead unwilling to think about what he would find.
With his ears starting to twitch at noises that were fast approaching, it sounded like someone was in combat, and then his nose caught the stench..hyenas.

At last his eyes focused on what was happening.The small cub Remba was trying to prod and pull a semi conscious Seleter under an overhanging bush, Sukari was nowhere to be seen, and there was Kikome slowly being surrounded by those vermin.
One of them was lying bleeding and twitching on the ground , but as usual the cowards weren't interested in one on one.

Charlie's growl was even more deeper as his anger wasn't held in check any more, finally giving it free rein and baring his claws, he launched himself at the nearest piece of scum. His front paws landed on the hyenas back and Charlie pressed and gouged downwards feeling skin and flesh part company along with a howl. His lips formed a sneer as his claws further plunged down into the soft flabby underbelly watching as the hot red blood ran free. Pulling his paws away he delivered a final blow to the creature, satisfied as it fell to the hard ground.
Moving onto the next hyena Charlie came to its side pouncing and bought his claws down its head and face watching as it split open and the nose seemingly holding the exposed flesh in place.
Pausing for a moment, the black lion roared his satisfaction as he eyed up another who was trying to back away, but at the same time, he caught that flash of red from his side vision through the trees.

[Fire]

As Fire was trying to dart through those blasted tree once again, the lion came across snarls and yowls oof pain in the midst of his little adventure run. His head turned to the sounds and there was an exposed patch of grass that had a hyena that had his head mutilated and another hyena backing away from.... Charlie?...

"Charlie!!" The red-maned lion called through the foliage and jumped a couple of bounces before coming up to stand beside the lion and face that hyena with a smirk on his face, letting out a roar of dominance and fear through his powerful vocal cords. The hyena definitely got the message and looked quite scared before yelping and bounding away, the red-maned lion turning himself to the side to face Charlie before pouncing onto him and nuzzling into the lion... almost like a cub somewhat as he was so relieved to see another friendly face that had gone missing. "What's going on?.. Where are the others?" He says while staring down to you.

Kyto flew off of Fires back when he suddenly flew forward to the hyena. Kyto landed in a tree inside nest when suddenly his bottom felt wet. He killed unborn baby birds. Kyto bagan to cry as he imagined the baby birds crying for help when suddenly he heard a screech from a buzzard. Kyto jumped off of the branch and landed on top of Nala's head. Kyto didnt know what had happened.

He looked over at Fire and said "Never....Do...That.....Again." Kyto's little bit of mane on his head was plopped over one of his eyes. Kyto tried to look at his bottom when he noticed there was a piece of an egg shell in his tail. Kyto pulled it out quick and gave a loud yelp.

Nalas eyes widened when Fire rushed past her and just plowed into and through bushes that were in front of them, even more amazed when apparantly he had forgotten that he had that cub on his back who kept asking him if he was his father. Her head lifted up watching as the cub did a little flip sailing through the air and landing in a tree. Nala tried not to laugh, even though the corners of her mouth lifted in amusement.

Moving forward the lioness was about to follow the same route Fire had just taken when something soft, smelly and a bit damp landed on her head. Hitting at it with a paw and letting out a growl, she was about to take another swipe at it on the ground when she saw what or rather who it was.

"You.. what do you think you're doing, you want to get us all killed?"

Leaving him where she was, Nala used her shoulders and pushed away at the bushes, finally getting through to where what she saw made her eyebrows raise.

Afya's breath came in quick pants. She had no idea where Zira had gone to. Finally she stopped running and halted beside a tree. She sat down and leant into it, relaxing her muscles which were tensed for an attack. Her chest rose and fell as she breathed and her head checked her surroundings.

"Why!" Afya whimpered, lying down on the ground, exhausted. She'd never run as much as she had today. Never so fast. Her life was changing, for worse it seemed. She knew she couldn't leave this place until Scar payed for his actions. Until she made him pay for every animal he had ever killed.

Tears began to roll down her face as she tried to resist falling asleep. That would be basic suicide. She could hear the sounds of a mini battle not that far from her. She couldn't be bothered to go and help. Her paws refused to carry her weight. As she began blinking furiously she heard the sound of something being thrown into the trees. Adrenaline surged through her body, she found strength to stand up. If it was dangerous, she'd be in deep trouble.

She slowly began walking around her position, trying to track down what it was. Finally she managed to spot a small shape, she walked closer and gasped. It was a cub, looking as if it had bathed in blood. "Little cub...are you ok?" She didn't really expect an answer. "Just...um...I'll get help. I'll be back as fast as I possibly can" She assured the cub, unsure wether or not it was just sleeping. She dashed off toward the place where battle sounds were coming from. However, slowly it began to dim out.

"No, no, no!" Afya hissed, hurriedly running toward the sound. Adrenaline was the only thing that kept her going. Finally she spotted a little shape. She stopped beside it, before biting back a cry of happiness.

"Kyto! I thought a lion had eaten you!" She cuddled the annoying cub against her chest as she lay down, not even caring about what he'd done.

"Quick there is a cub in danger we need to tell those other lions" She said, unaware that she was close to Charlie, Seleter and Remba again.

"Not much" Cat replied, following the lioness. She hadn't followed anyone for ages. It felt weird to be doing it again, as if her mum was going to yell at her for staring at the clouds again.

"From what I can gather it's in pretty miserable shape. I wonder who did this? Maybe they're just not very good at keeping the land fresh?" Cat offered the lioness, mentally scolding the animals who owned these lands. These were suppposed to be the beautiful pridelands. Not a strange ugly place.

As they walked Cat caught sight of a few Hyenas, just a flash that passed the corner of her eye. She froze and stood still, breathing heavily and whipping her head from side to side. What was going on?

"Wait! Stop, Hyenas!" She yellled, running back into the jungle. She managed to dodge far ahead of the lioness and into the jungle. She scaled a tree just near the edge of the thick foliage and waited for Robara.

When Kyto landed on Nala's head, Ranger covered his mouth with a paw and giggled a little bit, then followed Nala onwards. He came up beside her, and said,
"Geez, I didn't think Fire was capable of acting like that. Maybe it's somebody Fire knows from his past. Hey, Fire, who's your friend? Aren't you going to introduce us?," Ranger called.

Kyto's face began to fill up with tears when Nala snapped at him. Kyto sobbed and said "I was sc...sc...scar....scared." Kyto covered his face with his paws in the bush until he heard the voice of Afya. Kyto showed a sudden smile and began running through the bushes to her. Afya began cuddleing kyto and kyto liked that alot his mom used to cuddle with him every night before they went to bed.

Kyto told Afya lightly "I think I found my dad while we were seperated. see that black lion over there i think thats him." Kyto didnt know wether to smile or cry becuase that might of not been his father which it probally wasnt.

The following moments when the hyena had pounced at her passed so fast that Seleter wasn't sure if she was imagining it all or not. Her feet were going to give in at any moment, she simply was not a fighter and even such a short battle as this with the hyenas had worn her out. The large beast towering over her would surely crush her, and the golden cheetah had prepared for the impact though she doubted she'd survive it without serious harm.

And then something golden flew at her, hitting her side and catching her completely by surprise. Then the little something roared, and Seleter realized who exactly that golden fur ball was, and what she was going to do.
"SUKARI NO!"
But her panicked yell would not stop the cub. Sukari pounced at the hyena, and in an instant she was thrown out of sight.
"SUKARI!"
Seleter's eyes flared with rage and she bared her fangs at the hyena Sukari had so bravely attacked. The hyena merely laughed at her antics. It was clear that though enraged, Seleter was too tired put up a fight.

"Seleter, you can't do anything, let me help you move back, you have your baby you have to care about, come on please help me push and pull you."

In a flash Seleter's rage vanished and worry took over her thoughts. Remba was right, she could not do anything, but how could she back away with these hyenas all around?

Her answer came when Kikome charged through the trees and Remba begged her to follow even more. She pushed herself to her shaky feet as well as she could, and then without a warning she picked Remba to her mouth and dashed as fast as she could with all the tiredness to where Sukari had been thrown. She saw Charlie arrive at the scene from the corner of her eye, but at that moment there was only place for the safety of her cubs in her mind. Her worry over Sukari and the worry over her unborn cub mixed together, and so she no longer could make a difference between the cubs she carried and both Sukari and Remba. They were all hers, and if Sukari was badly injured.......

Seleter growled without realizing it, her eyes narrowing dangerously as she scanned the area and sniffed the air. Her ears perked up with joy when she caught Sukari's scent, and after a short exploration she found the cub. She didn't know if Sukari was awake or unconscious, and she completely refused to even consider the possibility that she might have been dead. The golden cheetah simply laid down so that Sukari was between her front paws, and there she placed Remba as well before she curled her body so that her tail covered both the cubs from sight. Then she glared around the surroundings with her eyes flashing in rage. The only thing she could think of for now was to protect her cubs, and that thought alone prevented her from falling unconscious from the lack of energy to do anything.

Nala stood there amazed, There was Fire having a good back slapping time with Charlie, she couldn't see Seleter or Remba anywhere, and best of all a thin looking scraggly lion was still fighting off a crazed hyena, and spread around on the ground, blood and pieces of flesh.

Moving forward she stepped carefully over one very dead looking hyena, watching where she placed her paws so she wouldn't slip in the congealing blood and end up on her rump in front of the three male lions.
Coming up behind Charlie and Fire, her eyes quickly looked the black lion over, noticing he only had a few minor injuries and then Nala turned to Fire.
"You think you've finished with this male bonding thing, so we can find out where everyone else is, and who exactly he is ?" as she lioness moved her head inthe direction of Kikome.

[Dakota]

Charlie had just let out his roar, watching as another hyena took to its heels escaping through the bushes before a similar fate overtook it like his companions. Sensing someone new had entered the area right behind him, the black lion bared his teeth ready to attack.

"Charlie !" was all he heard before he felt something connect with him and he was being pounced on of all things, and red fur tuft was flying in all directions, and then a cheek was being rubbed against his own... he was being nuzzled by Fire.. another male.
Using his paws Charlie pushed the red maned lion away from him, leaving a gap between them, and then looked around quickly hoping no one could see the display of affection between the two of them, what would the others think.
As he turned, who should be there but Nala, shaking his head slightly he could feel hotness move up over his cheeks and lowered his eyes as her taunt reached his ears at the same time.

Looking back at Fire when he spoke "What's going on?.. Where are the others?" , Charlie spun on his paws, he could see Kikome still had one hyena under his paws and he was applying pressure to the animal, but Seleter, Remba and Sukari there was no sight of.

"KIKOME... we need to find the others NOW.. take your revenge later.. THE CUBS !"

Afya smiled as Kyto spoke. His grin assured her that he was perfectly happy with her. The adolescent rose and gazed through the bushes. She could see several lions and it worried her. However maybe Charlie would have no issue with her. "Ok Kyto but don't go up to him. Stay with me and we'll find out when everything has settled down" She assured the cub. She then placed him on her back and traveled round the foliage. She finally pushed her way through a clump of bushes.

Afya was now standing a little way to the left of the group. "Hello, sorry if any of you are the mother or father of this little cub but I know him. I was keeping an eye on him until we got separated. If nobody here is his mum or dad I'll look after him" She offered. Afya wondered how long it would be until Charlie noticed he had seen her before.

She just stood there, feeling very vulnerable. Upon seeing the other lion with the Hyena and all the blood, she placed Kyto behind her and waited. "What's going on?" She continued.

Robara stood at looked at Cat "What is it?" she looked the same direction. "What do we look at?" she asked. She smelled something "hyenas?" she felt the ground with her claws "what do they do here?"

[This Land]

The words from Charlie entered into Kikome's ears, but Kikome's mind was elsewhere and too busy to process what Charlie just said. Kikome turned his head to see another Male and Female standing there. Kikome Realised what he just had done, he was off guard, and he felt a pair of Claws dig into his chest. Kikome roared in pain
"Tell your daughter how it felt like to be ripped apart" Snickered a Hyena but yet sustaining a serious tone
Kikome quickly head butted the hyena clean un-conscious with one quick blow. Kikome's vision blurred for a moment but he soon shook it off. He seen this hyena had taken a very nasty bite out of its neck, but as if it was done from a cub, Kikome looked around to see that there was no Sukari, fear of his daughter being lost again grew inside him, after all, his assumptions was that Sukari attacked the Hyena, she did it with Zira.

He looked around as a couple Hyena's scurried off but a few remained, looking as if to challenge him.
Kikome Chuckled deeply
"I would not try it.....you will regret it, and I don’t have time to"
2 Hyenas slowly advanced towards him
"Your daughter was taken care of Kikome, then she learned to fly, crash landed, you won’t see her alive.." The Hyena's laughed and Joked

Kikome took in what they just said seriously, and not thinking that the Hyena's could just be egging him on, getting him wound up, not to mention they would of been given strict orders by Zira not to kill her as Sukari would be of use to her. Kikome could not take it anymore. Kikome remembered the times when he was cool, calm & collected. But now his Daughter's life Being Gone...

Kikome Pounced forward and sliced his claws down Both Hyena's faces, but he didn't stop, when the Hyena's lay of the ground whimpering in pain and submission, Kikome roared and carried on inflicting pain to them. He Mauled both Hyena's, slashing his claws across their body and neck, they whimpered out loud, begging to stop, trying to scream out that Sukari was only lightly thrown, but he didn’t stop. At this time the rest of the Hyena's scurried off in fear, Kikome Continued, tears flooding down his face, he knew he was doing bad, it was going against every moral he set himself...but he couldn't control his anger. But then Kikome started to slow down the frequency of the slashes..... He couldn't hear the Hyena's Cry anymore, it then got replaced by his, he then stopped.
Kikome stood there for a moment. Stood in silence and motionless.

Kikome was not the type though to stay there and mourn though. He eventually turned his head, not to bare the sight of what was left of the Hyena’s and he walked into the Thick Bush of the jungle. Sniffing effortlessly, trying to find His Daughter's body.
Kikome was not the one to ask, but he needed a good friend to be with him at this time
"Seleter........Seleter, Please, I Need You !!" he yelled
".....Please” he said quietly to himself
"What have I done........what have I become......WHAT HAS HAPPENED!" He sobbed
Kikome fell to the floor with a thud and said nothing more.....

Standing beside Nala and Fire, Charlies eyes stayed focused on Kikome, it was like he was in a deadly trance, wanting revenge from whatever the hyenas had taunted him with, and he kept on slashing at the corpse on the ground, till suddenly he just stopped and all was silent around them once again.

Lifting a paw, the black lion was about to move over to Sukari's father, when Kikome himself just turned and walked into the jungle with the bushes falling back into place as though he hadn't of been there at all. Lowering his head, resting his chin on his chest, Charlie swallowed the saliva that had gathered in his mouth, as much as he couldn't call Kikome a friend, he felt sadness invade his heart. Kikome instead of that proud lion who had been reunited with his daughter, was a now reduced to a broken shell.

Turning to Nala and Fire, he finally noticed there were more standing around just staring, giving them all a quick look over, he turned back to the two he already knew.
"We need to stay together now, Zira has traps everywhere for us all.. it seems that Sukari is Kikome's daughter but also her neice"
Watching as realisation hit his two friends,
"Yes... which means he is Ziras brother ."

Taking a few steps forward, it was easy to see where the lion had gone, bloody footprints led the way, Charlie stopped when he heard the anguished roar fill the air, followed by a gut renching "Seleter........Seleter, Please, I Need You "
Stopping himself for a moment, he realised that Seleter, Remba,& Sukari needed kikome, just like he needed them, Charlie had to step back, press down his feeling for Seleter and move on, he wasn't needed in that little family, stupid of him to think otherwise really.

Not looking at anyone in particular, Charlie spoke outloud
"we need to get Kikome and start searching for Seleter and the cubs, they aren't being classed as dead until I can see their bodies for myself, and until that time we need to keep together.. Is anyone coming with me, or am I to go alone ?"

[growl1]

Ranger was confused right now. He spoke up after Charlie had finished asking his question.
"Um, Charlie, is that right? Could you or Nala or Fire or somebody please explain to me what's going on here? Because frankly, I don't have a clue. I also didn't know Zira had any siblings. Come on, somebody? Explain, please?," he said, looking at everyone, trying to make some kind of sense out of the situation.
I hate being confused, he thought grumpily.

[Dakota]

Charlies weary eyes turned towards the lone voice and stared at this new lion, whose uncannily appearance made him look like a younger version of Scar who was standing before him.

Turning towards Nala and Fire, the black lion tilted his head at an inquiring angle
"Did you check him out before you brought him along ?, is he safe, because to me who he resembles isnt a comforting thought."
Not waiting for an answer Charlie took one step closer to the lion and looked him over.
"All you need to know is that we have to look for a friend Seleter and two innocent cubs, that Zira and Scar would like very much dead, and they just about accomplished that deed sending some filth along to do their handywork."

Stepping back again Charlie looked in the direction where Kikome had gone and where also they had heard his agonising pain carry to them.
"I'm leaving, I can't wait for you all to make up your mind I know what has to be done, so you make your own decisions."

Letting his glance sldie over Nala and Fire, meaning it was only them he was talking to, he then moved forward cautiously towards the broken bushes, follwing the blood stained prints on the ground beneath him.

Ranger sighed and said,
"My appearance shouldn't be a problem, Charlie. I may look like my father but I'm not like him. I'll stick with Nala and Fire. If they want to go with you, they will and I'll come with them. You guys wanna go with him? He seems pretty nice," Ranger said, staring at Nala and Fire.

Kyto stayed behind Afya and began saying "Why do I gotta be behind you i wanna see whats going on?" Kyto tried to look over Afya but couldnt quite see. But then he heard afya speak of taking care of him "But afya? I think i really did find my dad this time. Doesnt he look like he could be my dad?" Fire really didnt look anything like kyto. Kyto didnt know what was going on at all.

As soon as the other lion had finished killing the Hyena Afya stepped to one side so Kyto could step beside her or in front of her. She hoped the blood wouldn't scare him.

As Charlie spoke of finding Seleter Afya pitched in. "I'll come with you. Seleter seemed like a nice Cheetah."

Hearing about this other lion she glanced over, he did indeed resemble Scar. Afya leaned down to speak to Kyto.

"So you were travelling with that group? I'll thank them later, I did say that if anybody was your parents they could have you. I meant to say your father but they'll get the idea. Maybe he doesn't know he's your father, in any case I will watch over you until we find your dad. Does that sound ok?" With that she stood up and faced this group. So the new lions were called Fire and Nala. The two of them must have been watching over Kyto. She wondered if any of them were going to march over and take Kyto back.

[Fire]

"Hmmph, it's as if he doesn't consider what we have been through as well..." The lion says with a mutter to himself and surveys the area around him. New lions and lionesses were around the area that he was in with Nala as well and his eyes took a quick look over them to sort of get himself slightly orientated with the group itself. "And if you have to ask, Ranger helped save us from those two and he's kinda following us.. He has no where to go.."

Fire then noticed Kyto with one of the other lionesses, a little smile on his face as he saw the young cub was safe with someone that he could at least have some faith in. The lion looks over to Nala with a shake of his head as he tried to make sense of what was going on in the past events that had happened and who was what. "It's really confusing, slightly... Like.. Man.. This is just one big cluster**** of stuff, isn't it?"

As Charlie stepped into the first lot of bushes, he paused for a moment, looking back over his shoulder at the gathering of allsorts. His eyes left the strangers and moved to the two that he knew, Nala and Fire, it'd had been a while since they were all together, and he wasn't used to taking orders anymore, he pleased himself what he did.

"Your choice, but I'm not waiting ! "

Charlie placed one paw in front of the other slowly as he moved forward, his ears twitching and alert while his nose took in all the surrounding odours and his eyes wide and watching, he still wasn't sure that the hyenas had actually left, and still weren't lying in wait upon Zira's orders.
He wanted to roar to kikome, hoping for an answer to make things quicker, but held his impatience in check, it was better if he just moved forward and silently as possible.

[Fire]

The lion didn't really want to wait around for something to happen ,since his curiosity was at an all-time high right now. Who are all of these newcomers? Where did they come from? Who is this.. Kikome that Charlie kept speaking of. This motivation to wanting to know more made him want to follow Charlie and find out more of what was going on. Even though that he had been held out of the group loop due to unseen circumstances, it was in his best interest that he not only helped protect the innocent ones who don't know.. but also, to make sure that Nala had a safe route to go to wherever she went.

The red-maned lion slowly was following behind Charlie, letting him know that he was behind him by giving a almost-silent whistle, beckoning Nala to come over and wanting her to follow him, the information that Charlie knew would help both of them probably against Scar...
