"Sorry? SORRY?!" Tef shouted out. "You have NO idea how this whole thing really feels like! You are damn lucky to acually HAVE a pride... AND friends! So don't YOU come to say what it feels like, because you really don't know ANYTHING about it!" Tef stopped for a moment and glared at Fire. "You really think no one else is 'sick and tired' to this damn stupid war?" she continued, still on a slightly high voice. "Stop thinking only yourself, because YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY ONE! Why do you think I left my pride? Because I wanted to get an end to this war! I've been more alone than you can imagine, trying to balance between the two prides... Trying to atleast somehow reach the peace!" Tef looked at Fire with disgust. "And what have you done?" she asked, waiting for a moment. "You tried to end this war by making one little thing... BY KILLING MY FATHER! Think, Fire! What if you actually SOMEHOW had managed to kill him? What would have happened?" Tef paused again. "The Jahina would have come for revenge... So think! Would that really have ended the war as you thought? Let me answer for you... NO!!!" Tef finished speaking, she was breathing fast. At some point she had stood up, without even noticing it. She took a deep breath and sat back down, facing the waterhole again. "I suggest that you get out of here, Fire" she said on a low voice. "Before I do something I would regret later..."

Legacy rose to his full height, he seemed to have regained himself. “I think it’s time you left Fire, and your friend to….” Was all he said as he looked at them, his face plain, though his emotions were otherwise. “Water….” Mino’s voice came from the floor as he moved his arm to try and reach the waterhole which was clearly out of his reach. “Tef…. Help him, would you please?” Legacy said as he looked at Tef then at Mino. “I would have thought more of an Otana…” He started as he stood between Fire, Akida and Tef and Mino. “You let your idea and rage blind you, and all this while your friend has been lying on the ground in clear need of help…. You said you didn't want to see your friends hurt, yet there you left him, too busy with your own affairs.....So much for friendship…” Legacy looked at Mino once more. “He is in too bad a condition to be moved now… he is going to have to stay here… I won’t harm him… you have my word. And once he is healed I’ll send him to you….. As long as you leave this place now… and do it peacefully…”

Tef stood up and gave a quick look for Fire. She had a blank expression on her face. She then walked to Mino and smiled to him. "Here, let me help you" she said with a friendly voice as she helped him to the waterhole. She was like Fire and Akida weren't at the clearing anymore. She had absolutely nothing to say to them.

Kiala looked over to Amaiza, sadness in her expression. "I'm Kiala..." She then looked to the land in front of her. How could she just walk away from this whole ordeal? How could she go home to safety while the only friends she had were in trouble. It was her fault that this was happening in the first place. She then looked to Amaiza. "I'd really rather not...talk about it..." She turned her had back to the front, clenching her eyes shut, trying to figure out what she should do. She sighed heavily. She didn't want to go back home. She wanted to help Mino and Fire. It was her fault that Mino was in Legacy's paws, and she couldn't stand to just walk away from it. She opened her eyes and stopped walking. Looking back to Amaiza, she gave a look that she didn't want to be followed. Looking then to the jungle, she darted into it, not caring that she didn't know where she was going. She just ran, dodging branches and bramble, jumping over tree roots and bushes. Tears fell from her eyes as she got deeper and deeper. Then, all of a sudden she crashed into something that suddenly appeared before her.
"Hello there...Kiala is it?"
Kiala looked up from the ground and quickly recognized the dark blue fur that she saw in front of her. Her eyes went wide as they came to the grinning face looking down upon her. "I..I..." She began to tremble once again, a throb of pain coming to the gashes in her cheek.
"You what?" Gargoroth chuckled lightly, his eyes narrowing into slits as he glared down at the lioness. "You shouldn't be wandering around in the jungle by yourself...especially on Jahina territory." He looked around to make sure that no one was there. Once they had left the small group, Gargoroth had split from Bleak and made his way into the junlge to check up on them from afar. When he finally reached them again, there were only the two lionesses and when Kiala ran off, he followed in front of her.
"What...what are you going to...to do to me?" Kiala asked, the fright surely showing in her widened emerald eyes. She tried to back up, but her legs wouldn't budge. They were locked, scared stiff, into place beneath her. There was no chance of escape.
"What am I going to do to you, hmm?' Gargoroth looked up, as if trying to think of what to say. "I'm not really sure yet, but I'm positive you're not going to like it much." He looked at her again, grinning. "I might take you back to Legacy so he can have his fun with you. And by fun I mean torture." He then took a step closer, then circled her. "Or, I might just kill you right here. What do you think?"
Kiala closed her eyes as she gulped hard. There was no way she could fight back, he was too big. She was also alone in the jungle, no one knew where she was. She immediately regreted her rash decision to attempt to find the others. What was going to happen to her now?

"THEN WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO DO TEF?!"
He released all of his anger that he had built up all these years onto that one statement. Flushed red with rage, he took a deep breath to calm himself down. He didn't want that directed at Tef, but he couldn't control it. He just slowly walked away, his tail between his legs and Akida looking at him with deep sadness. Akida approached Legacy with a sullen, yet honest. "I'm sorry Legacy if he acted the way he did.... He's never like that.... It's just... When I came here by accident by finding him, I told him everything I had seen and done... Including seeing the slaughter and murder of our whole pride and parents... Fire and I are brothers and I was the only one that escaped from the pride that I use to live with... So.. I just wanted to tell this because you shouldn't take him so harshly... He's gone through a lot lately..."
With that, Akida turned around and started heading back with Fire. A horrible though ran through Akida's mind right then. Kiala.... "Fire! Gargoroth and Bleak don't know about our arguement... they are going to do terrible things to Kiala if we don't hurry..."

Tef blinked her eyes. Akida's words were jumping in her mind. He's gone through a lot lately. She closed her eyes and let out a deep sigh. And he's not the only one... Tef thought. But what did it matter what she felt. Absolutely no one seemed to care. Tef sat down and stared at the tree tops. She tried to hold her tears back, not wanting to cry now.

Legacy watched as Fire left with his tail between his legs. Then when Akida explained why Fire acted like he did, Legacy just looked at him with a look as though he didn’t care. Why should he after all? They weren’t the only ones who had lost loved ones in their life. You could probably ask any lion around here and they could say the same. When Fire disappeared into the jungle, Legacy turned around and walked to the waterhole. He lay down and looked at Mino, who was guzzling up water. Then he looked at Tef when she let out a sigh. “Is something wrong Tef?” He asked in a low voice yet it seemed to have a hint of concern in it. It would be true that he couldn’t be one to ask her if something was wrong, especially after what he had put her through in her life. He couldn’t take what he had done back… But maybe he could make amends for some of it.
He opened his mouth at continue talking to her but then he remembered what he had said to Fire and Akida about their Pride being in danger and about Bleak and Gargoroth. Though he had been lying about all that, they didn’t know. They might think that he actually gave Bleak and Gargoroth orders to attack Kiala or the Otana pride. “I shall be back in a few moments….” He said as he stood up and let out a slight sigh. “Make sure he doesn’t hurt himself Tef, until I return…” As he looked at Mino for a second, before starting to walk out of the clearing and then went into a sprint as he went after Fire and Akida.
Mino stopped drinking water once he felt less dehydrated. Relaxed slightly now, he managed to move his body into a comfortable lying position. He felt really tired for some reason. What had just happened must have taken a lot of energy out of him, as he found himself not only without the energy to speak but without enough to hold his eyes open. It wasn’t a few seconds before he drifted off into sleep.

Tef looked after Legacy when he left the clearing. She turned to look at Mino, who had stopped drinking and fallen asleep. Tef tried to smile, but she couldn't. She sighed again and stood up, walking slowly to the huge tree next to the waterhole in the middle of the clearing. She stopped below the tree and lifted her paw to touch the tree. She looked up, still holding her paw touching the tree and smiled faintly. There was something in that tree that made her feel relaxed. Instead of climbing up, Tef laid down bellow the tree. She looked at the water and the fishes swimming there. She placed her head on her paws and kept watching the water. She wouldn't be able to fall asleep, but atleas she could think of something else than the war.

Akida was trying calm and reassure Fire. Even though that he was his brother and he was going through a lot, it was no excuse for him to blow his top like that. "Fire... Let's be realistic here... It's not like Legacy hasn't been through that kind of thing, right?... Although, he should have shown some empathy, despite you being in the pride that he loathes."
"I hate it how he doesn't realize that I want to put it away so badly... He's so goddam stubborn."
"Well... Yeah..." Akida couldn't really say anything to that since he agreed to that in some extent. Legacy could have seen it Fire's way for a moment.
"I know what Legacy's going though right now, though... It's not easy losing others that you loved dearly to your heart.. In this case, mom and dad right?"
"Yeah."
"Akida... We need to get to Kiala... Gargoroth and Bleak are on the prowl and they don't know about our recent discussion..."
"Let's go, then..."
Fire and Kiala rushed over to the Otana caves, seeing no one there but Amaiza. This worried the two more. Akida surely told her to hide, but if Amaiza was there, then she would be running out to greet them. Instead, she was just ambling about. Fire spoke out to her. "Amaiza!" They approached her while breathing heavily. "Where's Kiala?... She's in danger..."

Gargoroth was enjoying himself right now, taking in Kiala's frightened face. Although he was just toying with her, not having actually been given orders to do harm to her, he enjoyed seeing her squirm. Plus, it was practice for what was innevitably to come. The more threatening he was, the better purpose he might serve for Legacy's cause. In the past, he had just killed without words, but this taunting thing was fun.
"So...all alone in the jungle..." Gargoroth chuckled as he stopped circling around her, stopping right in front of her. "Weren't you told to go back to your lands?" He glared at her, his eyes narrowed. "You're little friend is in grave danger, you know." He looked around. "If I tell Legacy that you are here...it will probably be the end of him."
Kiala's eyes went wide. "No!" She took a step away from him. How could she let herself get into this? If Mino died because of her, she could never forgive herself. All she had wanted to do was help, but now she was only making the matters worse. "I-I'll..leave." She pleaded with the large male before her, her eyes becoming watered over. "I-I..." Kiala looked to the ground, beginning to get choked up.
Gargoroth snickered and gave a sneer in her direction. "You're pathetic. Not only do you betray your pride, you put your friends in danger." He stared hard upon her. This was so fun. "What did you think you were going to do if you found him, eh? No doubt he is under guard and careful watch, if not by Legacy himself." He laughed out loud, booming laughter deep from his chest. "Just the thought of you attacking Legacy..." He finished his laughing and looked at her again. "You couldn't do any harm to our pride, and you couldn't do any help for your own...You're pretty worthless." With that he turned his back on her and began to walk away. "You're not even worth my time..."
Kiala stared at the ground as he spoke, the tears threatening and her anger building. She had been told these things before, in her previous pride. But that was when she was younger, closer to cubhood. Gargoroth's words brought back the past she had tried her entire life to forget, the past that no one knew. As the blue male turned his back, Kiala's claws extracted as her lips came back in a snarl, a flash of hate in her eyes.
With a roar, she lunged at him, jumping onto his back and digging her claws deep into his already scarred sides. He let out a roar of pain as he flung her from his back, making her land on the ground. She landed hard, but she got up quickly, her ears laid on the back of her skull. She meant business. She lunged at him again, this time with her teeth bared, and bit into his fore leg as her claws dug into his skin. The much larger lion just looked down at her, wincing in pain, as he batted her off with his remaining paw. His strength had grown much along the years, and she was no match.
Kiala knew this, that she was asking for her own death, but she continued to jump at him again. Although she didn't really understand the war, she had seen enough of it. She wanted to do her part for her pride. She wanted to prove she wasn't worthless. Sure, she could bring down a beast for their nurishment, but that didn't help with the current situations. Jumping at him like this...she hoped that it would show her worth, that she was willing to fight. She didn't know what had gotten over her. Usually she cowered in fear when confronted...but not this time. She had heard the last straw.
Gargoroth was ready for her this time. When she lunged at him, he reared back his paw and knocked her away into a tree. He heard a crack as a rib obviously broke in her side. She landed lifeless on the ground below. He sneered at her, licking up the blood on his leg. With a little chuckle, he turned his back and walked back to the Jahina lands, out of the jungle, but not before giving a last glance...
"Worthless..."

Fire's ears perked up as he heard a loud roar from the distance, obviously not a lion, but a lioness and then shouts from off the distance. "There's our answer..." Fire rushed over to where the spot was, Akida following in hot pursuit. If she's in any pain, I will never see the light of this war again...
After a few moments of running, he comes to a small patch of land that is clear of trees, seeing a lion bound off into the forest and Akida attempting to go after him while Fire sat still looking around. He sees Kiala and then gasps. "No.... Kiala...." He rushes to her side, having the most worried look he has had in a while, Akida stopping pursuit after he lost the lion and turning to look as Fire was over Kiala. "Oh no..."

Blood trickled from one of her ears as she lay there, motionless except for the occassional small heave of her side. Knocked out cold. Her mouth hang open as her tongue lolled out. There was blood around her mouth and paws, but not her own.
________________________________________________________
Gargoroth fled. Soon after he left Kiala there to die alone, he heard movement, rapid movement, coming in his direction. Although not hurt, just bleeding a bit, he didn't want another confrontation. He laughed to himself as he thought of the lionesses feeble attempts to attack him. What a weakling... As he noticed that he was not being purued anymore, he slowed to a light walk. He then stopped near a strange willow tree in the forest, and going underneath it's intertwining branches, he attended to his wounds.

“Gargoroth…. Just exactly what do you think you are doing?” Legacy’s voice came from behind a tree as he took a step out into view. He had arrived to see the last hit that Gargoroth had given to Kiala. At that stage there would have been no point in interfering. Kiala was probably hurt now, or worse…. A matter best left to her pride. But Gargoroth was Legacy’s problem, and he intended to fix it. “You look hurt…” He said in a concerned voice as he walked right up to him and looked down. “Here let me help….” Legacy extended his claw on one paw and smacked Gargoroth across the face, not hard enough to do any serious damage, but enough to draw a small trace of blood. “What in this world where you thinking!” Legacy shouted at him as he placed his paw back on the ground and retracted his claws. “You weren’t! And there in lies the problem…” Legacy answered his own question for him. “What part of the rules I set out for you when you arrived did you not understand?” Legacy let out a sigh as though his patience was wearing thin. “You are not, and I repeat, you are NOT to hurt or attack any Otana in a way that will cause serious damage…. “ Legacy frowned at Gargoroth. Needless to say he wasn’t pleased with what just happened. Though he had only promised to let Kiala return back home. Her getting injured would surely make Fire and Akida angry. And the last thing Legacy needed was two Otanas running around starting fights with every Jahina they could find. This momentary peace between the prides would prove perfect for his plans, but now after what Gargoroth did, those plans would be in danger. “You better hope you have not caused me trouble by what you did or so help me I’m going to make your life a living hell….” Legacy turned to head back to where Kiala had fallen but stopped for a moment and looked back at Gargoroth out of the corner of his eye. “So you know in future, until further notice there is a truce between the Otana and Jahina. To some extent. Which means all operations in their territory are to be stopped and as such no Jahina should be seriously hurt unless said so by me… Though you may not have known this at the time, I would have at least expected some common sense out of you, to bring her to me…. Now I have to see what is left of this situation that I can salvage…” And with that Legacy started walking back to Kiala, leaving Gargoroth to think about what he had done.

Gargoroth was quite suprised to see Legacy out of no where. When Legacy drew blood, all Gargoroth could do was look at the ground, eyes narrowed, and listen. As Legacy walked away, Gargoroth looked up, anger in his eyes. It wasn't his fault. She was the one who attacked him. He was going to leave her to return to her pride, maybe with a little more to think about than before, but he had not attacked her. He knew it was no use explaining this to Legacy. He probably wouldn't even believe him if he had. With his spirits crushed and the anger still fuming, he got up from sitting and stormed back to the Jahina lands to the caves. Once there, he went inside one and lay down, closing his eyes to go to sleep.

"Kiala... Please.. Speak to me..." This was the voice of Fire trying to awaken Kiala from her unconcious state, nuzzling her under her neck with his nose to see if she would wake up.
When Legacy came through the path that Garogoroth came from, his eyes grew cold and he wasn't angry at Legacy. Just... disappointed and peeved. "Do you see what your attitude towards this war has done?... Innocent lions are being taken and either killed or hurt for the only purpose of satisfying your empty hunger for revenge..."
Fire takes another deep breath since he was starting to get angry again. His past talk made him realize that blowing up in lion's faces wasn't the best way to go. "Have you ever heard of a saying that goes along the lines of'Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that.'?... Hmm?... The darkness and negative opinions you are spreading out throughout this land aren't going to help you at all... Especially forgivness... forgiveness from your wife... Isn't that what you want, Legacy?... And what about Tef?... I may be not paying attention to her now, but I have been throughout these years... She is always saying that if her father wasn't so mean and nasty all the time, she would be in this kind of mess... I am sorry that I have not been keen on Tef throughout these days, but... You're her father... You should be able to recognize what all of this is doing by looking at her straight in the eyes... Maybe if you weren't so caught up in being so self-righteous in hate, you'd see that..."
Akida was blown away by Fire's words. He had never heard of something come out of his mouth like that AND stil remain calm after the whole speech. Akida walks over with Fire and Kiala, trying to help her revive and get up. Fire looks up from his moment of silence. "I hope you realize what you are doing..." He then goes back to what he was doing before,. licking the blood off of her fur and nuzzling her every so often.

Legacy walked up to Kiala and Fire and sat down. His face was plain, but as Fire spoke, Legacy looked at the ground as though in shame. “Forgiveness… I wish….” He said in a low voice. “Save me your speeches Fire…” He finally said after Fire had finished talking. “You know nothing of my past or my feelings; you couldn’t possibly comprehend what I’ve gone through….” Legacy frowned as he looked up at Fire, then at Kiala. “I merely came to check to see if she had been hurt badly…” He said as he surveyed Kiala checking to see what her condition was.

As everything went on around her, Kiala began to come back to the world of reality. Her eyes blinked open, though they did not fully come into focus. Coughing up blood, she sputtered her first conscious breaths. She then looked around, her eyes finally focusing in on her surroundings. She saw Fire standing over her and the other lion that had been with him earlier. Then her eyes came to lay on Legacy and she immediately stiffened. When the innitial shock of seeing the large lion passed, she jumped to her feet, but not without wincing because of the broken rib in her side. "Where..." She coughed again. More blood. "..Mino..." She looked to Legacy, a worried yet pained look on her face. "Where is he?" Her voice wasn't demanding, not in the slightest. If anything, it was pleading.

Legacy just stared at Kiala. “Ah, it is good to see you are not dead or seriously injured to any life threatening state… Though Mino, I can’t say the same….. He is in a clearing nearby recovering from his wounds….” He paused a moment and titled his head ever so slightly. “I can assure you he is in no danger…. Though, I have to say, I am surprised you are not concerned for your own life at this moment…” He said as he grinned very faintly.

Fire just stared his same cold stare at Legacy and muttered under his breath just so Legacy could hear "At least I have some empathy left in me..."
When Kiala jumped up for the sudden, Fire rushed very quickly to her side. "Lay down please, Kiala... You need to rest for right now..."
Akida was on the other side of Kiala doing the exact same as Fire. He wished that everything was back to normal for Fire. He knew eventually that he would crack under the stress and pressure.

Kiala's breath began to get heavier and faster as a sudden fit of fear and pain pulsed through her body. She looked around herself as though she were paranoid and suddenly fainted, collapsing to the ground below. The blood continued to trickle from her ear as she lay there.

"Kiala!" Fire tried to help cushion the fainting spell that she had, slipping his neck under her head and collapsing to the ground with her. "Man... This is not good..." He lifts his head out from underneath Kiala's head, sighing heavily and looking at Legacy with another cold stare, sitting down on the ground and then looking at Akida. "Take her back to the cave. You're stronger in lifting..."
Seeing as how this made sense, Akida lifts Kiala onto his back carefully and walks away with balancing her on his shoulders. "You sure that you're safe?..."
"Yes. I'm sure that Legacy wouldn't harm anyone during our time of peace for the moment. Even though I know he'd like to, I know he's not stupid..."

Amaiza sighed, the lioness didn't want to be followed, so she did not follow her, she just continued to walk. After a while she came to a clearing. She sat down on a rock in the middle of it and looked around. "Why is it whenever i finally get a chance to talk with someone or a chance to get to know them better, they run off on me?" She thought sadly to herself.

Legacy having had all he could take of Fire, turned around and proceeded to walk back to the clearing to check on Tef and Mino. That child is getting on my nerves, if he keeps it up I’ll kill him whether there is a peace or not…. He certainly wasn’t going to stand around so Fire could give him more looks and speeches about this that and the other of what HE thought was right. Legacy really didn’t care what Fire thought or had to say about the situation.

Tef lifted her gaze from the waterhole and looked up to the sky that she could barely see behind the leaves of the huge three. She sighed and stood up, streching herself a little before walking to the water and taking a small drink. She looked at the fishes, who were swimming peacefully around.
Tef gave a quick look for Mino, making sure he was still asleep. Then she walked to the waterhole, watching closely as the fishes swam around. A playful grin appeared to her face as she pounced after one fish, slightly missing it. She looked around, saw another fish and pounced after it, again missing. She pounced again and again, not really even trying to catch a fish, just having fun and getting her thoughts away from the reality.

Akida carried on to return to the cave, Fire following behind him and then thinking to himself while he was walking. I hate to admit it, but that stupid animal is right... I haven't been a good friend to Mino at all... Just deserting him off somewhere while I was wrapped in stupid rage... When he heals a little more, I'm going back to get him as soon as possbile..
Akida turned towards Fire. "We should go get Mino at sunrise tomorrow. Even though that we are at a truce with Legacy and Mino can't be moved, I wouldn't trust a lion that is of the personality that I perceive him in... He's dangerous, Fire... You need to find a better way to make him see your point... Even if it means you have to shove it down his throat..."
"Yeah... But, it's so hard because I am not that kind of person that likes to force my opinion's on others..."
"Pffft!! What do you call 'AND WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO DO?!'? A mild smack?... Face it, Kito... You're going to have to use every bit of strength you have, like it or not..."
They arrived at the cave with Kiala's limp body, Akida setting her down near a warm corner of the entrance and then looking over at the lioness. "I don't believe I have met you before..."
Fire piped in. "As to I myself... What's your name?" He suddenly had a change of mood due to not seeing anyone that he knew was involved with the war.

Legacy returned to the clearing. Then suddenly stopped as something caught his attention in the corner of his eye. Turning his head he saw Tef jumping around in the water playing with the fish. He let out a slight huff of air through his nose and smiled faintly. Then walked over to Mino and checked his condition. Laying down near him to keep an eye on him. But laying down facing Tef so he could also watch her. He didn’t say anything to her because he didn’t want to interrupt her play. Besides she really didn’t need to be aware that he was there. That would just make her all depressed again.

Tef jumpped after another fish when she saw a glimpse of something black from her eyecorner near the place where Mino was. She knew it was Legacy, but she didn't show she had seen him. A slight grin appeared to her face as she got an idea of what to do. Tef pounced after a fish again, still acting like she hadn't seen Legacy. As she seemed to be just jumping randomly around she slowly made her way towards Legacy. This is going to be fun... she thought. She then suddenly made a huge jump and landed to the water on her stomach, causing a huge splash that made Legacy wet. Tef laid at the water and grinned playfully to Legacy. "Hi there, father..." she said, trying to hold her laugh.

Legacy was completely soaked. So much so, that his mane was sagging down over his face making being able to see his face impossible. He slowly rose to full height and sort of strolled over to the water’s edge. “So that’s how you want to play it huh?” He said in what seemed to be an amused tone of voice. If you looked carefully you might have even seen the slight grin he had on under his mane. Then suddenly he shook himself making the water go everywhere. “Let see how you like this!” Legacy jumped into the air and landed in the water making a splash a bit bigger then Tef had made. Which of course soaked her as she had him. “Two can play at that game…” He said in a childish voice as he grinned back at her.

Tef got really surprised when Legacy joined her game, making her soaking wet. She looked at her father in amazement for a moment and then bursted on a laugh. "I'm so gonna get you for that..." she said with a grin. She quickly stood up and splashed the water with her paw towards Legacy. She then jumpped a bit away from him, still having the playful grin on her face.

Legacy put his arm in the way of the water to stop it hitting his face, thought the rest of him still got wet. “Oh, we will see who get’s who…. So you think you can take your father on huh?” Legacy stood up and grinned, then swiped his paw at the water splashing it and soaking Tef again. “Come on then, show me what you have darling daughter of mine…. And don’t go easy on me because I’m old, because I won’t….” Legacy chuckled then made another little splash in her direction.
