The Nirridi Front: pyroar edition

The Herbivores were nearby, eating what remains of their own breakfast at this point. Each thinking to themselves as to how grateful they are on some level to having a much easier time finding such food. Nevertheless the cave made each more nervous as time went on, so their consumption was equally expedited. While they probably wouldn't want to meet back with the lions quite yet, they could probably at least look for a nice spot near the cave to lie down in and relax some.

As they waited for the lions,the sun still beamed in the sky. Bugs busily flew by the herbivores as they went to look for a nice shady spot in the cave.

Shade's scar had suddenly start to ache, she pressed her teeth and lower her had, it was hurting so much, she then called out ''Hey, you two! Had you catch something at least?'' She say, hiding her ache of her scar, she looked at her wound and said ''Well, this another scar to my collection of scars'' Shade pointed out, showing her battle scars in her muzzle, her notched ear,another one in her bridge and the one that she recently gained.

Atiya chuckled as the startled Figgy screamed at her words. "Oh, my dear! Sorry I spooked you!" Just about to explain what a mask was from her shamanic traditions -- a popular device for the face used by apes and monkeys during magical practices -- she immediately sensed an unpleasant feeling in the bag itself. It was a harsh sensation on her pointy teeth, resembling the chill she'd only encountered atop the high mountains of the land once before during a quest. Something the denizens called 'snow'... the white stuff was gorgeous to witness, but the sensation of coldness was downright awful to her from her first experience. The wind, normally refreshing in the hot savanna, only made the cold of the snow worse.

Needless to say, Atiya's jaw dropped the moment the bag turned cold. Looking down at it, and now able to see it's blue coloration from nowhere, her jaw remained open in shock. "...em... y'know, I'd love to comment on your amazing catch, Figgy, but I'm hesitant to leave this thing alone. You hadn't seen what I'd seen of it, and since it got... I think 'cold' is the word?" She groaned, leaving the bag behind as she trotted closer.

"Please, keep an eye on that thing to make sure it doesn't, I dunno, try to force itself on one of our faces or something? I'll explain what a mask is later. For now, I'm starved... and like I said before, amazing catch. Wish Shade was here to enjoy some of this buffalo too"

Atiya now digs into the buffalo to eat and to prepare the leftovers for shade as figgy watches the mysterious mask thts has nw turned the grass around it blue and cold.

Shade is still inspectng her wounds.Some of which has started to heal.

The herbivores have found a nice cozy spot to lay down in, however, there seems to be lound noises coming from the baazar not far from the cave.

Zabuni would be the first to notice the sounds as the group tried to lay down. Sure they hadn't done anything but each of them were already feeling somewhat lazy. At least for the femme Lagomorph, curiosity was starting to get the better of her. She began to hope cautiously in the direction of the sound but would not leave the sight of her companions who watched behind her.

"Whatever it is its none of our business", replied the Buffalo in groaning irritation.
"Yea", the Okapi would chime in additionally, "Best not to go anywhere without the lions following us in my opinion."
Zabuni was not yet sated however. While she didn't leave the area, she did prod her ears forward to attempt to determine the emotion behind the sounds. Where they fear? Anger? Happiness? Commotion?

The noises grew louder as if a parade was taking place. There are cheers and laughter that can be heard-- and some sort of booming noise?
The cave ,or whats left of it , rattles and shakes as bits and pieces of rock and dirt fall down.

There is a object in the distance that can be barely seen, wonder what it is?

Shade, relaxed a bit when her wound started to heal, the ache had gone and she felt more better ''nothing bad to a warlock like me''she thought, Shade heard Atiya wishing she was there, Shade smiled a bit and used her magic to teletransport herself towards them, she appeared infront of Figgy and Atiya ''I'm right here, and i see you could catch some--''.

Before she could finish noises got in her ears, Shade saw a figure, not sure what could, she just tensed her claws, letting whoever that was close to her, how dangerous she was, even being a warlock, a skilled one, Shade's eyes glowed and then bared her teeth. Shade make her paws burn in her dark fire, she started to run towards it, when she was enough close she stalked it and then.....she jumped over the figure and growled ''What are you doing here?! and who are you!?''

"By all means," Figgy said, casually waving to the buffalo carcass as the bag continued to glow. He didn't dare take his eyes off it. Very slowly he got up, only to fall back again in surprise when Shade appeared in front of him, spoke of his catch and then darted off into the distance. He breathed a sigh of relief once she was gone. "Magic. Love it. Hate it," he said, then stood up.
Atiya was still eating from the carcasse as Figgy heaved himself to his feet, rocking not once, nor twice but thrice to get the sufficient momentum. He sat on his hind legs which disappeared beneath his enormous tummy, then brushed the grass from his long brown fur. The bag still glowed a cool blue, and Figgy felt the cold, heavy air wash over his feet. "That reminds me of home, actually," he said, relishing the sensation. "I grew up in the gorilla mountains. The air was often cool there. That's how I got this coat." He plucked at his thick brown fur. "It never seems to drop off even in the summer."
He watched as Atiya ate. She had a particularly large tail tuft, and Figgy had to mentally restrain himself from trying to swat it. He took a deep breath - now seemed like as good a time as any - and sidled closer. "I'm... er, glad you like my catch," he said gently, nervously. "Some time, if you want, maybe we could go off and find something together? I'll catch you something with my vines. I'm... not usually one for sharing food, but I reckon if there's anyone I'd like to share with..." It'd be you, he wanted to say. Tried to say, but the words wouldn't come. It was like a vine was squeezing his throat closed. "Anyway, if the gods of Egypt don't mind one of their best follows sharing a private meal with a weird rogue anyway."
He smiled quickly, then turned and looked at the glowing blue bag, mostly just for a place to look. Only then did he notice the noise in the distance.

The noise of cheering grew louder and louder, a tiny banner can be seen. It looks like some sort of celebration, but for who or what and why? The mask figgy looks after still iced the ground, maybe he could try and wear it?The mask stares coldly as figgy looks at its pitch black eyes..

Shade looks at a dark figure as it hovers a few inches off the ground. the darkened figure disappeares and leaves behind a small note on the ground, it seems to spell out GREY in the dirt

Shade, looked down to the note and blinked, she wasn't sure of what that note was for, anyways she took it between her jaws, and walked off, then arrived to Atiya and said ''Atiya, a figure had left this, i tried to discover who it was, but it disappeared before i could, but he had left a note'' Shade then puts th note bewteen Atiya's paws and said ''Can i eat?, i'm starving''

Group Goal 1: Find a way to translate the letter
Continuous group goal:find out who the letter is signed by
Group Goal 2:go to the bazaar
Group Goal 3: decide if keeping the cave or finding a new one? If keeping, figure out a way to fix and reinforce cave, if not, find a new cave.
Group Goal 4: go to the parade in the baazar.

Optional-- indiv goal: wear, keep or sell mysterious mask for atiya.
