We Are One (Private)

[Vitalini]

"Its beautiful isn't it?" She asked following his gaze to the stars.

[Accalia]

he heaved a yes and smiled, then looked at her beautiful eyes reflecting the starlight and lost himself in the torrent of life

[Vitalini]

She laid down beside him and nuzzled into his neck. She closed her eyes, contented and purring.

[Accalia]

He nuzzled her in return and whispered "you have stars in your eyes, or maybe its just your flawless beauty."

[Vitalini]

She giggled and cocked her head, "Flawless? I think you need to have your eyes examined."

[Accalia]

He giggled "flawless to my eyes."

[Vitalini]

She smiled and curled up beside him. Silence passed between them for a moment and then suddenly her voice was soft and cautious, "Enu..." She looked up at him but her eyes did not meet his gaze, "Do you... do you think that... I mean.... would you stay long enough for us to..." her voice trailed off and she dropped her eyes to the ground.

[Accalia]

Enuthu gazed back with large, caring eyes "Well it depends my dear Tani, if danger threatens me it will kill you. You are my moon stars and sun, you are my only light. Without light life is not worth living; you cant see where you are going. I cannot and willnot live without you and so if the threat is too large I will run, bring it away from you and if it means I die then so be it." he gave her a soft smile "But I doubt that will happen."

[Vitalini]

Tani smiled, "No... thats not what I meant. I mean.... wait, What?" She asked looking at him, "Youre not leaving me... ever?"

[Accalia]

"Possibly... hopefully." he purred into her ear

[Vitalini]

"Then you want us to be... mates?" She asked blushing as she said the word

[Accalia]

Enuthu felt as if the floor had fell from beneath him and he managed a smile "Yes.." he purred, but it all felt as if a large boulder had hit him in the side and he felt as if he would fall

[Vitalini]

"Are you sure?" She asked measuring his reaction, "You don't look so good. We don't have to. We can just be... friends..."

[Accalia]

He shivered at the title of friends and purred "no, I love you and being mates would be amazing, its just this happened very quickly." he gave her a rye smile and said quietly "But who's complaining." Right now he was a complex being, he would hide the majority of his sinking feelings from her, he wanted to be her mate just it had scared him how quickly it happened.

[Vitalini]

"It has happened quickly.... what if we just take it a day at a time and see what happens?"

[Accalia]

He giggles "Sounds good." he liked her cheek and smiled

[Vitalini]

She smiled. It wasnt really the answer she wanted. Yes it had happened quickly but even if it hadn't she couldn't shake the feeling that she would wake up one morning and he would be gone. She sighed and looked up at the sky wondering what advice the Great Kings would give.

[Accalia]

He licked her cheek and said "Why do you sigh?"

[Vitalini]

Tani looked at Enuthu trying to decide if she should say anything, "Its just... I'm afraid I'm going to wake up one day and find that you've left...."

[Accalia]

Enuthu sighed "Hopefully it wont have to be that sudden, I will warn you if I am warned myself, I promise." he wasn't sure how to reassure her, he hadn't planned on leaving for a while and he doubted his father would leave the pride, he was scared of his brothers though, especially while his scent was fresh.

[Vitalini]

Tani nodded. It wasnt the answer she wanted but it would have to do for now. She nuzzled her head under his chin and shivered

[Accalia]

Enuthu nuzzled her back and embraced her shivering body best he could "I love you Tani."

[Vitalini]

She looked up at him meeting his gaze, "I love you too. " she relaxed into him and laid her head on his paw

[Accalia]

Enuthu met her gaze and placed his head gently upon hers and smiled softly "I.. I will never leave you.." he whispered, he decided that it was what Tami wanted and deep down what he did. If there was danger he would fight it off, he promised himself.

[Vitalini]

She sighed happily and fell asleep. When she woke the sun had about an hour til it was supposed to set and she felt hungry, "You still up for that hunt?"

[Accalia]

Enuthu tried to stay awake, but Tani's regular breathing lulled him to sleep. He felt her awake and he jumped to his paws, worried that there was danger, but when he saw there was none he relaxed and looked at Tani with loving eyes and his stomach rumbled "Yea."

[Vitalini]

She grinned and stretched, relaxing all of her muscles, "Cmon then." She smiled and lead him toward an outcropping of trees where some zebra were feeding

[Accalia]

Enuhtu followed her stretching as he went. When he saw the zebra he lowered himself to his haunches and observed the multiple possible prey

[Vitalini]

"Oh no you don't." She smiled and whispered, "You said you wanted to see me hunt." She grinned and extended her claws moving the earth under them. She silently lowered herself to the ground. More than a minute passed and just as it was seeming eerily still she lunged and took off after the largest zebra. It didn't take long at all before she had closed in on him and she sprang onto his back taking him down. She looked up at Enuthu triumphantly.

[Accalia]

Enuthu watched in amazement as Tani chased down the large beast. When it fell to the ground he walked towards her, a large, amazed grin spreading across his face "Wow!! So you can hunt!" he nuzzled her, the fact that she had killed the zebra still amazed him.
