Novinhas arm swayed as she suspended it from the tree branch. Her face was content and her tail curled slightly around the branch as she listened to the subtle sounds of life. Novinha was not one for socialising, because if her past but if someone showed a small interest to her not her parents legacy she would try hard to be normal and fit in.Many thoughts swirled around in Novinhas head but for the moment she let them continue to be unsolved and simply lay there, on her branch, waiting for anything to happen. Novinha looked very out of place in the tree, although she was part leopard she was mainly lion in appearance and most lions are incapable of climbing trees.
Novinhas ears pricked up and she lifted her head slightly, she thought it may be a lone wilder beast or antelope and sniffed the air for a scent, but none came and she rested her head back down again. She sighed and quietly asked "Why am I destined to be alone?" She felt small, and didn't like the feeling, so sat up right, her tail drifting off the side of the rough branch. Her mint eyes sparkled in the sunlight, scanning the savanna for anything but red dust and orange grass, buT there was nothing.

The same orange grass swayed gently and slightly in the soft breeze. Bahari strolled through the grass, sniffing the air with his tan muzzle for any antelope or other prey. Nothing there, so he looked back down with his green eyes at the red-shaded ground ahead. It wasn't some much for hunting, as he wanted to take a walk. Nonetheless, he'd probably come across something in the mean time to eat.

Novinha defiantly smelt something, and as she raised her head she saw a tan lion someway off, she tilted her head and gracefully lept from her perch on the tree. At first she ran to get a better look at him, she didn't know what to think, it didn't appear like he was from her pride and so when she got closer she slowed nervous and shy. Each step she took was light and slow, she didn't want scare the lion, nor did she particularly want him to know she was there. She stayed about 500 feet from the lion and crouched down low, her sandy pelt blending with the vegetation. She pursued him, trying to think as to what she wanted to do.

Bahari's ears perked and he sniffed again. He smelt something. but it didn't seem like prey. Maybe another lion? Possibly, but he didn't think any of his pride would be out this far, since he wandered off here. He just continued strolling to see what would happen, not sure what to do at the moment.

Novinha continued to stalk him until she had decided what she wanted to do. She made her movements silent and ran around and infront of the lion, spinning to face him, panting slightly her eyes hard. "Who are you, and where do you come from?" She said matter of factly, not bothering with any of the stuttering. Her posture was stern and secure, if he decided to attack she would go down with a fight.

Now noticing the lion infront of him, he stopped. Avoiding conflict as usual, he didn't want to attack unless she did. He might as well just tell her and identify himself for now. No harm in that. "Bahari, I'm not from here. I come from a pride by a lake a ways back the direction I came." he said simply, for the record.

Novinha relaxed slightly "Well... Bahrain... What are you doing here, your pride is a long days walk away, why come so far?" She'd asked genuinely curious testing out his name as she said it. Her eyes became more gentle and she brought her legs closer together, making her look rather defenseless.

"Eh, it's not that far, feels like it though. True, I don't usually wander off this far. I guess I was looking for something new..." he answered in turn, sounding a little bored at end of the last sentence. He relaxed gradually some as well as he was explaining why he came, now sitting down instead of standing.

Novinha giggled slightly "Well, I guess you found it!" She says relaxing completely, her strange tail swaying slightly "I don't let many lions stay here, but well... You are no threat to me!" She says smiling, completely honest with him.
Novinha slumped down, sitting with an arched back, very different from her normal upright sitting possition. At his last sentence she smiled saying "Well, that was a tale!" She giggled, but seeing his boredom she asked "What do you do for fun?' Trying to get him excited again.

Bahari gigged slightly at that. "I guess I did, and yea I'm really not." He smiled and thought for a second what he usually enjoys. "Well, mostly swimming at the lake or visiting my parents' families, or walking", he said, laughing a little at how far he had gone. "What about you, what do you do for fun?" he asked.

Novinha laughed whole heartedly and said "I can see that! And for fun, I like to listen to the ever changing sounds of time passing and life moving onwards! Or meet nice new people!" She says lightly bumbling into him , giggling.

Bahari replied with a laugh, "Well that's interesting! Yea meeting new people is good." Excited again, he asked, "So, how did you get in the tree earlier?"

"Part leopard, huh? That's neat." Bahari said. "I'm the offspring of two prides of lions, so I am a hybrid of sorts at least," he explained after she finished. As he finished dwelling on this thought, he remembered something. "Oh, I never did ask your name, if i may that is." he said.

She giggled at his remark and at his question blushed brighter "Novinha..... And may I ask for yours?" She said timidly. If she were with any other lion she would have been strong and stern, but it was something about his company that turned her inner personality from within her to the outside world, and for a strange reason she liked it.

"Bahari," he stated with a smile. Actually, this isn't the first time he's wandered off. If he passed through other prides, usually some other lions wouldn't let him stay. In truth, he almost always means no harm. He's glad he's been allowed to stay this long, but respects that others want to protect their territory.

She giggled slightly and asked "So........ Whatcha normally do after you've wandered a while and found something new?" She asked trying to think of what to say.

"Well... I usually hunt and camp if I head back, but some of the times I feel like staying some while..." he said. Even more so now with his families' feud.

Novinha nodded and smiled a bit before adding "So, you wanna stay a while?!" Her voice going up at the end, for some reason hopping he would stay, she would be thankful of the company.

Bahari then replied, "Mhm, sure! I'd love to stay." So he set his sights on doing just that. It seemed she'd let him, and it's been nice meeting her.

Aleila smiled at hearing his decision to stay, and asked slowly "Are you hungry?.." she had never really been with another lion this long and it felt strange to her.

Bahari was ready to settle in from the long wander here. He was indeed starting to get hungry right about now. "Yea, I'm a little hungry." he responded.

She looked thoughtful for a moment then returned to normal "If you aren't too tired to hunt there is a herd of antelope not far from here..." She says noticing his slightly tired frame.

"A little tired, but I will manage. Alright then, be right back," Bahari said. He slinked off into the savanna grass and hunted out the herd of antelope. He stealthily waited in the grass, pouncing one of the antelope at the right moment. He pinned one down for a kill, beginning to feat on it's meat.

"Oh, sorry about that. You mean like hunting in a group?" Bahari turned to her and said, wiping his muzzle with his paw. He's seen it done, but never did it himself.

"Yea, I don't really socialise that much...." She small smile widens and she asks "Do you mind if I have some?" She had realised her hunger and hoped he would let her have a nibble.

"No, not at all. Have as much as you need," he said, pushing the carcass towards her a little. "I'm usually social cause of visiting family, I just lived with only my parents. We live by that lake by ourselves, in our own little pride. Since I usually hunted by myself, groups just didn't happen much often." he said.
