New Life {Private Clary and Accalia}

[Accalia]

Both the lions giggled at the cubs constant need for fun. "I wish I could join...." Libo sighed but he knew it wasn't right the playing was left to the cubs. Novinha giggled for a while but then realised that Ruby had tried hard to keep her clean "Come on Iris let's clean you up!" Novinha said as lightly as she possibly could, but she wasn't as good as Libo at communicating. Libo added to her statemempnt "With some added fun!" He knew cubs hated baths and being clean, he still hated it now. "Race you!" He said plodding off slowly but with emphasied movements and breaths so to Iris it appeared he was trying his best.

Iris just grinned cockily and remained in the mud stubbornly. "I am clean." She said innocently.


Ruby ran forward as the herd began to scatter but Ruby pushed through them and lunged at the doe, bringing it down as she pounced.

[Accalia]

Libo giggled at the cubs stubbornness "Why don't you come play?!" Libo tried his best to get the cub interested enough to forget about the fact that he she was support to be having a bath.

Novinha's ears pricked up at the sound of the moving heard, she was worried for Ruby and so decided to go see if she remaind intact. "Iris I am just going to go help your big sister alright, we will be back in no time!" Novinha tried smiling lovingly upon Iris but it wasn't quite right, no where near as good as Ruby's. She looked towards Libo hoping he would see the anxiety on her face, but he may not as again she was not used to having to portray her feelings to others. She gently plodded in the direction of Ruby's departure, but once out of site from Iris she ran, anxiety coursing through her body.

Ruby began fighting with the doe as a buck charge over to her and knocked Ruby off his mate, sending the lioness skidding in the dirt before she leapt up and started snarling loudly, starting to take on the buck whilst the doe fled from the scene.


Iris remained in the mud with another hugely stubborn grin on her face as she started rolling it in again, caking herself in a fresh layer. "Coem and get me." She said in a singsong voice.

Novinhas slightly pointed face peeped over the plain to see the buck progressing towards Ruby. Novinha watched in shock; A single lioness would die if faced with a fully grown buck... She lept upon the bucks hind, but at such and angle that it would take a good few kicks to dislodge her from his back. Novinha dug her claws into the bucks thick skin and bit down hard, her leopard tail swinging to keep her balanced. "Ruby........help......." She mumbled whilst her jaw was firmly locked in the bucks hind. Suddenly she flew from the beasts form and skidded in the dirt, she lay for a mere few seconds but then got back up and headed for the calamity that was the buck, pleased with the wound she had inflicted upon it.

Libo giggled and gently pounced on her splattering then with a new layer of mud, then rolled cautiously around, all the time being aware of Iris's position and potential for a wound.

[Ruby_Fehu]

Iris giggled and began jumping in the puddle, covering Libo in more mud before she padded out of it and ran off to a tree, starting to claw at it like Ruby always did.


Ruby was taken aback by Novinha before she snapped back into the present and hurried to help the lioness, yanking at the buck's leg and sending it tumbling to the ground.

Libo giggled as he rolled in the mud with the small cub, but as she ran away he ran after her, somewhat forgetting she was a cub being slightly too rough with her.

Novinha winced but as she saw the huge beast crash to the ground smiled widely and ran as fast as her exhausted frame would let her towards Ruby and the meal. She smiled widely at Ruby and muttered a thanks before bending down and virorously devourouring her share of the buck; completely unaware of the social rules around this.

Iris yelped a little and jumped away from Libo, before jumping in the water but jumping a little to deep so she staggered a little and got covered to her neck.


Ruby smiled at Novinha and began to eat her share before starting to drag it away, struggling a little as she did, "Can you help?" She asked, her voice slightly muffled.

[Accalia]

Libo giggled at Iris as she became soaked to her neck but ram quickly to gently lift her to shallower water. "See, not so bad!" He said affectionately before splashing a tiny bit of water in her face, smiling his easy going smile down at the innocent little cub.

Novinha trailed behind Ruby after relishing in the smile she received, she noticed it was the first acctual meaningfull one she had received in a long long time, and didn't realise how much she missed them. As she heard Ruby call for help she ran to her side and picked up the trailing half of the buck, "You and Iris have a very special relationship' Novinha said flatly through gritted teeth, she didn't know how she as support to comment or if she was support to at all.

[Ruby_Fehu]

Iris giggled and began splashing Libo feebly, her small paws not nearly as good at spraying the older lion with the cool liquid. "Are you and Novinha together?" She asked curiously, thinking back to when she saw the duo together alone.


Ruby grinned fondly at Novhina's words. "Yes, I am surprisingly close to Iris, I've basically raised her. She means everything to me. If I didn't have my little sister I don't know where I would be." She replied, her voice still muffled slightly. "You and Libo seem close though." She stated to Novinha, "Have you two met before?"

[Accalia]

Libo giggled but when he heard the little ones remark laughed harder "No Iris, we are barely acquaintances!" He giggled but as he thought about it the more their relationship confused him.

Novinha smiled lovingly at Ruby, jealous of her and Iris' special relationship, but when she mentioned Libo she giggled "Yes, but only ever his face, never name exchange!" She giggled harder

[Ruby_Fehu]

"Oh, that's boring." Iris said thoughtfully as she plonked herself down in front of Libo and looked up at him with a smile.


"That's certainly unusual." Ruby commented before glancing ahead of her and seeing that they were nearing Iris and Libo,; she could smell her sister's scent, "We're nearly there." She said to Novinha.

[Accalia]

Libo giggled and splashed Iris once again, but softly he could smell the lionesses scent blowing towards him "Your sisters almost here!" He said gently

Novinha continued to giggle softly "So we are!" She said sprinting the rest of the way, pulling Ruby and the carcass almond behind her, She splashed into the water, Libo gasped a little but wasn't that scared.

Iris looked up at Libo's words and grinned before running off in the general direction of Ruby and diving at her, hugging her sister's paws. "Ruby." Iris said excitedly.


"Hey kiddo." Ruby said, placing the meat down and nuzzling Iris gently. "Were you good?" She asked her before turning to Libo, "Was she?"

[Accalia]

Libo giggled at her excitement and plodded behind her. "Was she good?! She is a cub what would you expect from her? She was reasonably good though." He said playfully, Iris had been amazingly good for her age and he had grown quite fond of her, *I wish I had siblings...* he thought longingly. 

Novinha trailed behind, and headed straight for the pool, not wanting to be awkward like she knew she always is. 

[Ruby_Fehu]

Ruby smiled fondly at her sibling before turning to Libo, "Thank you for looking after her." She said, "Novhina and I managed to get some prey so feel free to dig in you two." She continued gesturing to the buck carcass behind her.

[Accalia]

Libo smiled "You are welcome!" He saw the meat and his eyes widened "A buck?! How'd you manage that!" Bug he went behind them and bent his head and ate slowly at first, but realising his hunger ate faster.

[Ruby_Fehu]

"I was originally going for a doe but the buck got in the way, I would have been badly hurt if Novinha didn't show up when she did." Ruby explained, nuzzling Iris who purred loudly.

[Accalia]

Novinha heard her name and spun her head around a large grin spreading across her face.

Libo giggled "You two make a great team! Wish I had been there to see it," he said conversationally, he had fun looking after Iris and didn't really mind that he missed out *There will be other times* he though cheerfully

[Ruby_Fehu]

Ruby nodded her agreement, "You and I could go hunting one day Libo or even you and Novinha." She grinned, sliding onto her haunches as Iris padded into the circle of Ruby's paws and resting her head against the russet fur. Ruby glanced down as her young sister's eyes slid shut and a yawn passed her lips. "You certainly tired Iris out." Ruby laughed, grinning at the male.

[Accalia]

Libo giggled and so did Novinha "Maybe when little one is bigger we can all go!" He said as he gently rubbed his paw over Iris's small head. "I think we both tired eachother out!" He said with a large yawn. Novinha giggled and padded back over "Is it time for the cubs to go beddy bies?" She said in a slightly moking voice, but she meant it as a joke.

[Ruby_Fehu]

"I'll be teaching Iris soon, you can come watch and stuff." Ruby offered then looked down to the sleeping form of Iris, "It appears to be, is there a cave nearby?" Ruby asked Novinha, picking her sister up carefully in her jaws and standing up.

[Accalia]

Novinha scrunched up her face as she tried to remember the lazy out of the land; she normally slept in a tree and so had no need for a cave, but tried helping them anyway. "There should be one... If we follow the tree line, it will lead us to a cliff and I am pretty sure there is a cave there..' She said slowly as she scrapped it from her memory.

Libo yawned and starred plodding sleepily down the tree line, not saying a word, his paws dragging across the dirt. Novinha giggled at Libo's exhaustion "What did you two do?!' Humour running through her voice.

[Ruby_Fehu]

Ruby nodded and started towards where Novinha had said, after walking for quite a while she eventually came across a small cave built into the side of some cliff's. "Perfect." Ruby said as she looked up at the dark sky, she shivered a little before padding into the cave and placing Iris down at the back of it before Ruby made her back to the front and lay in the mouth of the cave, looking out over the area.

Novinha and Libo followed Ruby into the small cave, but Novinha left all most instantly, returning soon after with a stack of soft grass for whoever wanted it. She carried her load to the back of the cave and made a small bed of grass and sighed slumping upon it.

Libo watched Ruby with deep eyes as she lovingly placed Iris at the back of the cave. He walked towards her slowly and gently to join her at the mouth of the cave. He lay beside her and sighed "This is a big place... Do you think you will be staying?" He asked his eyes fixed on the moonlight forest.

Novinha watched the two of them and giggled to herself! then turned, leaving the two to have a private conversation. And so she slept, peacefully, surrounded by those who she trusted.

[Ruby_Fehu]

Ruby glanced around at Libo when he lay by her side, "It's big enough to possibly keep Iris safe and hidden until she's older. I may stay here for a little while, travelling constantly is no way for a cub to live. She deserves to have some fun and feel safe once in a while." Ruby explained, starting to trust the two large cats more. "I might patrol the area in the morning or something, see if there are any potential dangers nearby, and I want to see if there's enough to hunt and water nearby if we do settle here for a while." Ruby continued, she glanced over her shoulder at the stack of grass, "Excuse me a moment." She said, standing up and padding away from Libo.


Ruby grabbed a mouthful of grass and dropped it over Iris, before going back and collecting more grass. She did this a few times until she knew Iris was covered enough so that she would be warm until Ruby came and joined her. She smiled tenderly at her sister before going back to Libo and sliding onto her haunches beside him, "WHy don't you go to sleep? You seemed tired on our way here and I know that Iris can tire everyone out, she's very active and never seems to get tired until the sun finally starts to set, no matter how much running and stuff she does." Ruby laughed, smiling at Libo.

[Accalia]

"I am sure it will be perfectly safe here! Novinha has survived, and she hasn't had anyone..." She smiled warmly at Ruby, happy that she has the thought of remaining, but he did not know exactly why.

At Ruby's approach Novinha stirred and gathered herself and helped a small bit with covering Iris, her frame wary. Once Ruby returned to Libo she giggled lightly once more before slumping back upon the cave.

At her return Libo smiled up at Ruby at her remark "That's the thing, I am a night being, sleep doesn't befall me until the moon is well through its path across the night sky." As he said this his gaze moved to the moon, the light reflecting into his eyes, all signed of sleep had dissapeared. "I am sure you are tired, go sleep with your sister, I will stay here and think." He said gently. At her remark he giggled "I gathered that was the case! She surely does have boundless amounts of energy!" He said his chest and frame shaking as the laughter moved through his body.

[Ruby_Fehu]

"I'm not tired, I've grown used to having to stay awake or sleep lightly, Iris tends to have nightmares so I'm always on edge, worrying whether or not she'll have one each night." She looked over her shoulder at her sleeping sister. "I'll stay awake a little longer. See if she begins to stir." Ruby continued, turning back to Libo.

[Accalia]

Libo looked less relaxed "Do you know what these nightmares are about?" He asked genuinely concerned about Iris's well being. He looked back upon the sleeping cub, wondering how such an innocent thing could be cursed by nightmares

[Ruby_Fehu]

"Unfortunately not. I'm thinking it's likely to be about our parents though." Ruby replied carefully. "It's awful though, seeing her toss and turn and cry and everything and never being able to help. Never being able to make them go away." Ruby looked down sadly, "I feel like that alone is a let down when it comes to me caring for her." She admitted.
