Nala jumped up, beginning to walk outside. Staying outside the den wouldn't hurt anybody right?
Sarabi woke up, walking outside only to see Nala. She sat at the side of her smiling. "So Nala, what brings you out here?" She questions the cub.
"Oh, im just sitting out here.. but I really want to go and play.."

Sarafina continued sleeping, she'd had a bad nights sleep before.
Scar glanced over his shoulder when he heard Nala and Sarabi before looking back across the Pridelands.

Nala decided to go back in the cave. "Come on Sarabi, lets go! Besides.. im.. tired" She said yawning.
Sarabi smiled at Nala. "Okay then, you run along, i want to stay out here for awhile."

It had been a few days and food had become scarce. Sarafina had continued trying to hunt but it had been in vain. The hyena's and Scar were eating what little the lionesses could gather, living the Pride close to starvation.
"Sarabi." Scar yelled from atop Pride Rock, demanding the elderly lioness to come forward.

Sarabi slowly made her way up to the top of Priderock, full of confidence, her head held high, as the hyenas snapped at her heels. "What is it Scar" She said, in an calm tone, her head still held up proudly as her eyes glared into his evil green ones.
Nala watched from afar, as she was just turning into an adolescent. A sigh escaped her lips as she stuck close to her mother like glue.

"Why are you and Sarafina so unsuccessful in leading the hunting party? And why isn't Nala being taught to hunt yet? She is growing into a fine young lioness. It's time for her to step up and join you in a hunt. Or else there will be consequences. Understood?" Scar snarled.
Sarafina growled quietly under her breath at Scar's words.

"Scar, there is no food or water. The herds have moved on. There is /nothing/ left." She said, her amber eyes glaring towards him like a fire. Her face curved into a shocked expression. "Nala has only just become an Adolescent! She is too young to hunt yet!" She said, slowly claming her voice.

(I agree, it is also my theory for How Vitani looked so much like Nala, and how they knew each other in the 2nd movie)
"Queen!? Scar have you gone mad! She cannot be your Queen! She`s too young!" She said snapping at him, her tail flicking angrily as a snarl spread across her cream muzzle. Nala took a step forwards, as if to say something, but quickly stepped back next to her mother, looking down.

"She's young, she's a leader, she'll bare me many cubs. I order you as King to start teaching her to hunt immediately." Scar demanded.
Sarafina wanted to argue but she refused to move from her daughter and speak up. "I won't let you be his mate Nala, I promise." She murmured.

Sarabi let out a growl, but refused to argue. "Mom.. please.. don`t let him. I don`t love him.. i coulden`t be his mate" She said sadly, looking at her mother. (lol its okay  ) |

She pushed into the nuzzle. Enjoying her mothers embrace. "Thanks Mom." She said happily
Sarabi paced. "Very well. Scar" She said taking a glance at him and walking away.

Sarafina watched as Sarabi approached the pair, "We can't let him do this Sarabi! Nala's still only young, we have to stop him."
Scar watched the three lionesses intently from where he was sat on the edge of Pride Rock.

She lent towards her friends ear. Whispering to her. "Sarafina, would you really think i would let him do that? Don`t worry, i have a plan.." She said. "Keep Nala by your side at all times, we don`t know what he will do if shes alone, and i do dread to think what will happen."
Nala wondered what her mother and Sarabi were talking about.

(I was thinking, we could split the characters. I might as well make a list on the front page.)
(Also, i think Sarafina and Sarabi are forced from Priderock to hunt, and Nala wasen`t aloud to go, for /scar/ reasons. One thing leads to another, they return, to find nala. D: Poor nala)
"Okay Mom" She said picking up her pace to keep up with her mother. She was a fine young lioness, care-free happy and content.. around some lion of course. But she was never as happy as what she used to be, when the land was green.. and she played with.. "Simba!" She suddendly shouted out, as she tried to say her mothers name, but since she was thinking of Simba, it came out like that. She gave out a nervous laugh.
Sarabi smiled as the pair walked away, the former tan queen taking a quick glance to /king/ Scar. Her amber eyes narrowed angrily, as she laid upon a rather large rock, keeping watch over the pride.

(Sounds good and yeah poor Nala  ) Scar strutted over to Sarabi once Sarafina and Nala were out of earshot. "She has until the next full moon to become a fine huntress then she will be my Queen. Or else." Sarafina padded a little ahead before stopping. "I'm going to teach you how to hunt but not for Scar for yourself. If you can hunt you can fight, if you can fight you can defend yourself against Scar, if you can defend yourself you can go and find help." She said to Nala. |

"Very well. Scar" She said, stopping from just hitting him right there and then. She was not the type of lioness to do that, and yet, she still had to keep her regal form.
Nala continued to follow after her mother, until eventually they stopped. "I will go and find help, the Pridelands needs somebody's help. I'm willing to do what i can to help" She said proudly, puffing out her chest.

"No, not yet. When Sarabi and I think you are a strong enough huntress." She nuzzled Nala before turning away. "Now what you do is this." She began showing Nala a step by step technique of hunting. "Pounce on that rock there." She said gesturing with her nose a large rock a short distance away.
Scar smiled a little. "When she learns she can only hunt when I say she can. I don't want my Queen too far away." He continued, not caring whether or not his words would annoy Sarabi. "I want my Queen to feel like she's Queen, not like she's just a normal Pride member hunting with the others." He continued, taking the chance to make a snide remark about Mufasa and Sarabi.

"Okay Mom" She said, wriggling her haunches, as she pounced towards the rock landing upon it. She gritted her teeth as she landed on the rock, its hard stone surface pressing into her stomach. She lept off the rock, and sat down smiling.
"Very well.." She mumbled. "Not just like a regular lioness" Bounced around in her head. "You dare to ridicule mine and Mufasas rule, but you dare not look at the hell you have created and what you call a new era, is nothing! I know why you were never King, and Mufasa was, because Mufasa cared for his subjects, and the lands! But you.. your just a cold-hearted monster, who could`t care less about anybody but himself!"
She said angrily, speaking the truth. As her breathing became heavier and more rushed.

Sarafina tilted her head a little. "Pounce on me. Stay here, then stalk me." She said, jogging off a short distance - far enough for Nala to hunt but close enough to be straight by her side in case of danger.
"I care about Nala do I not?" Scar sneered.

She knelt down, and camouflaged with the grass, well what was left of it. She started off slowly, as she began to run tpwards he mother, before leaping and landing on her.
"You care only for Nala, because out of your greed you want her as your Queen!"

Sarafina rolled over and laughed, "That's good! Keep trying though." Sarafina wriggled free and ran off again. "Come and get me." She called.
"No, not really. She reminds me of someone I knew." Scar replied. He wasn't lying but he wasn't going to show the soft side he could have. Especially not to Sarabi - Sarafina maybe, Sarabi no.

She picked up her pace, just behind her mother, nipping at her heels, before diving as she crossed in front of her, as she tumbled to the floor with her mother. She let out a loud laugh.
"Oh, i see. But did you console Nalas thoughts on this? I think not. "

Nala raced after the hare, and dived, landing upon the struggling hare. She bit its neck, as it stopped breathing. "I did it!" She muffled, with the hare in her mouth.

"Okay, Scar" She said, lashing her tail, as she trotted off to Nala. "Nala, your practice is going to have to wait, King Scar Wishes to see you"
She said to the young lioness, looking into her deep blue eyes.
"Uh.. okay" She said, looking for Scar, until she spotted him in the distance. She slowly, and cautiously walked towards his dark figure, as she sat down. ".. You called for me?" She said, looking at him hesitantly.

Scar gave Nala an almost genuine smile, "How did your practice go?" He asked flicking a bit of hare fur from her nose with his paw.
Sarafina glared at Sarabi, "Why does he want her?"
