Sarabi, looked up to priderock, now standing there was scar declaring on how simba and mufasa had died. "No! This can't be true! Please..." she broke into a flood of tears, heartbroken. She had just lost everything.. her life was ruined. Her eyes were duller, tears still pouring. Her mate and son. Both dead. Today. Why? How? These questions would soon be explained.
Nala began to cry under her mother, then began to cry into her mothers paw. Her playmate. Her best friend. Gone. To the stars. But it was even worse for Sarabi.

Sarafina place a paw around her daughter, hugging her close and shushing her softly. She was so glad she still had her child - or one of them at least - and she kept giving Sarabi sympathetic looks; she knew what it was like to lose a child and a mate and the suffering of the aftermath was unbearable.
Scar laughed coldly as the hyena's began circling the lionesses, their cackles loud and haunting. "Welcome to a new lifestyle!" He bellowed, grinning nastily at Shenzi, Banzai and Ed. He snapped his gaze to Sarabi and Sarafina and smirked before making his way towards Sarabi, changing his expression to one of anguish. "I am so very sorry for your loss Sarabi, it is a most terrible feeling - knowing that I'll never see my brother or nephew again..."

Unaware of what would become of the Pridelands later because of Scar, she embraced him in a tight hug, tears streaming from her eye's. She heard the mad cackling from the hyenas before she stepped back. "Taka! You know very well it is against the laws of the Pridelands to let Hyenas here. The land will ruin!" She said, in a tone of sadness and seriousness, she would not let this pride crumble.
Nala, hugged her mothers paw tighter, as she heard scar nearby. She always had a bad vibe from him
She was scared, sad, angry, confused. All these emotions at once. "Mom, I miss him so much!" She said tears still pouring.

"Under Mufasa's law, I think we as a Pride can work together with the hyena's. Make the Pride stronger." He said to Sarabi with a grin, he used to have a soft spot for Sarabi beofre Mufasa claimed her and then he moved onto Sarafina, and only they were allowed to call him by his actual name and now that the King was dead he could claim one or both of them to be his Queen.
Sarafina sighed sadly, "I know Nala, we'll find another playmate for you though, don't worry." When she heard the cackle of the hyena's she looked up, about to confront Scar but noticed Sarabi had beaten her to it so instead she prioritsed her daughter once more, "Come, let's get you to bed. It's late.

"That is utter foolishness! They will tear the land apart! And as Queen I demand that no such thing will happen!" She said angrily, still relaxed. Her tail swished angrily. She was still queen. And her words were law too. "Mufasa would never allow such a thing!"
"But.. mom" she sighed, still sad. She gave up.

"You are not my Queen. I have no Queen. I rule alone. I will do what I wish as King. And now Mufasa is dead, his good natured leadership did nothing. I will rule with an iron fist. I'll prove that I can be better than Mufasa." Scar growled.
Sarafina licked Nala, "I know sweetheart, I know." She picked Nala up by the scruff and without a word stalked past Scar and up to the cave. She jumped into a dent in the cave wall, wide enough for Sarafina and Nala to sleep comfortably alone and out of harms way. "Go to sleep now." She purred nuzzling her.

Sarabi yelled. "You will never be the same as him!" She swiped for his face in pure anger.
Nala curled into a ball, a small tight one she closed her eyes trying to sleep.

(I have a theory for Vitani. In the broadway scar has another song, where he wants nala to be his queen. She gives birth to vitani then goes to find help)

"They may have no choice, but they will still follow me and not you." She said, before walking away, her head held high.
Nala began to sleep, dreaming about her and simba. Playing. She woke up. She knew it was dangerous to go out at night, but she was thristy, and the waterhole was only round the corner... she crept quietly out of the cave, the cold night air hitting her.

Scar growled as he watched Sarabi stalk off before turning and setting off towards the watering hole, he was only there for a little while when none other than Nala appeared. "What are you doing here? It's not safe for a cub at night." He said, faking concern.

She stopped in her tracks as she saw Scar. "I-Im just um- going to get a drink because im thirsty.." She said rather quietly, but tried to look brave and menacing, but instead she just looked cute and cuddly.
Sarabi got to the cave, seeing most of the pride asleep. She saw Sarafina, and laid next to her. But oddly enough she diden`t see Nala. She nudged Sarafina awake. "Nala`s missing"

Sarafina blinked sleepily before sitting upright, "Nala's missing? What?" She demanded, getting to her feet.
"Well hurry up and have your drink and I'll take you back to your mother, she'll be frantic if she finds that you're not there." He said calmly.

Perhaps he isent as bad as he seems she though, stepping forward and drinking some water. Her throat was rather parched with all the crying she'd done. Her tail swished contently. "Done!" She chirped up happily, as she looked up at Scar.
Sarabi knew Sarafina had every right to worry. "Yes, shes not here. Perhaps we should check the water hole?" Her tail flicked.

Sarafina nodded and jumped from her perch before racing out of Pride Rock and starting down the side of the majestic landmark.

She follows closely behind Scar, flinching everytime a hyena looked at her.
Sarabi raced after Sarafina. "There she is" she let out a sigh of relief.

Sarafina gasps a little, "Nala! What are you doing, come here immediately."

Nala ran up to her mother, her ears drooped. "Mom, I just wanted a drink.."
Sarabi sat at the side of Sarafina. "Nala, the hyenas could have got you.. your lucky Tak- I mean Scar was there to save you" her tail swished. She felt almost like a secondary mother to little Nala.

"The hyena's wouldn't harm her. They're under my orders to not harm any of the cubs." He said calmly, he was surprised by Sarabi almost calling him by his birth name. "And if they did there would have been consequences, especially considering I was with her."
Sarafina looked at Scar warily, "Thank you." She said slowly and Scar tugged his great shoulders dismissively. He hated the adult lionesses with the exception of Sarafina, who he always used to have a soft spot for, but he'd never want harm to come of the cubs. Unless of course it was Simba.

Sarabi twitches her tail. She was relieved nala was okay.
"Thankyou" nala said to scar as she rubbed herself around her mothers leg and looked up at her.

Scar watched the three from the top of Pride Rock his lips curled in a sneer before he turned and padded into the cave and lay down at the back, watching the Pride.
Sarafina carried Nala back to Pride Rock and placed her down in the cave entrance, "Back to bed now." She said gently.

Sarabi walked inside the cave, as she laid down on her side, beginning to close her eyes.

Scar lay watching the lionesses his expression thoughtful before he placed his head on his paws and tried to sleep.
Sarafina curled up around her daughter and glanced over at Scar thoughtfully before finally falling asleep.

Nala woke up earlier than most. Her eyes scanned for anybody that was awake. But there was nobody.
Sarabi continued to sleep softly.

Scar was already awake and was sat on the edge of Pride rock, looking over the area with a bored expression.
