The young cub, stumbled in weak and hungry.Her ribs where visible through her fur and she could hardly stand up.She saw Lions everywhere, she had no idea what to do.She scrambled behind a bush, her head poking out so she could see.Fear ran through her eyes as she had never seen so many lions before.Her heart was racing and she moved a bit closer darting behind a large boulder to get a close look. Shani could here foot steps close by and she lowered her head to the floor hoping they would not see her.

Aria walked along, watching her prides every movement, she was the leader of the growing pride so she had to be vigilant and not let any trespassers in her pride. She padded close to the boulder and bounded up to the top agilely, her paws finding small gaps which she could use to keep her balance as she climbed.
Once on the boulder she scanned around the area, all seemed safe. Her ears perked up when she sensed someone nearby she turned and peered down to the ground where she caught sight of a weak cub, Aria was surprised at the sorry state the cub was in and jumped down to the ground, 'Hello there.' She said her voice gentle as she lowered herself to the cubs level.

"h-hi" Shani stamered, fear pulsing throuhg her. She looked up at the lioness her blue eyes frightened and hungry.Her pressed against her head.She wrapped her tail round her back legs shaking in fear.

"Calm down little one, I won't hurt you." The white lioness continued, her voice gentle. "I'm Aria, what is your name?"

"I-i am Shani" She said beginning to relax a little bit.Her blue eyes looking up at the female, her ears coming away from her head.She weakly got to her feet, her legs wobnling due to the lack of food she has had.

Aria was surprised by how weak she was, "Here." Aria said, she picked Shani up by the scruff and carried her over to the fresh meat a pride member had hunted. She placed Shani down gently. "Eat up." Aria smiled.

Shani grinned and thanked Aria quickly sinking her teeth into the carcass.She quickly ate alot of the animal her. She felt much better and stronger, but she was still very thin.She yawned moving over to Aria, grining.

Aria returned the smile, "Where are you parents?" She asked gently, looking around her pride. "I've not seen you around before."

"They abandoned me when I was born ans the lioness that was looking after me died"She said licking the blood off her lips.She hated being homeless, always scavenging for food."I have been running for about a month".

Aria watched Shani quietly, "Do you want to stay with us for a little while? I can care for you." Aria continued, turning to look at the Pride.

Shani grinned happily.
"Thank you"Shani said grinning, her face lighting up with joy.
She finally had a home and they werent going to all die or abandon her.She giggle with joy as she moved to Aria's tail and stared playing around with it.

Shani made a playfull laugh and began leaping up feeling stronger after eating. A yawn then escaped her mouth, a lack of sleep was creeping up on her and her eyes began to droop.

Aria smiled and picked Shani up, carefully she carried her to the pride's cave and placed her down at the back where she slept. "I'll be right at the entrance, shout if you need me." Aria informed the cub before padding to the mouth of the cave and settling on her haunches.

Shani, quickly got up after being placed down and padded out of the cave and trotted over to Aria.She curled up next to Aria nuzzling into her, falling into a light sleep.
"m..moth..mother"Shani mumbled in her sleep as she flicked her tail. She remebers waking up in that cave,crying out for the mother that abandoned her and then seeing the pregnant female and calling her mother.Then the pain when the pregnant female told her she was not.

Aria was surprised at Shani's words but didn't deny it, as Queen she wanted to make the cub feel as loved and welcome as possible.

Shani smiled as she felt the warmth of Aria,To her it felt like she was her mother, but she did not know if Aria would take her in as her own.Her eyes flickered open, after only wanting a quick nap.She got to her feet and looked down and Aria with her ice blue eyes.

"Sleep okay?" Aria asked, wrapping her paw around Shani and moving her between her forepaws to groom her.

"yes mother..I-I mean yes thank you"Shani said shyly, while being washed.
"Are there any other cubs?"Shani asked trying to hide what she said.She rolled onto her back so Aria could groom her belly.

"There's my friend Jade's sister Luna, she's playful." Aria replied, she smiled inwardly after Shani called her mother.

Shani liked the sound of another cub being around,she would hate to be the only cub.She then stood up after beinf groomed and climbed ontop of Aria's back, trying to see how big the pride land actually was.Shani was quite light which ment that Shani was not going to hurts Aiar's back.

"wow its big" Shani said as she gazed over the pride land.
"whats that dark place?"She said squinting into the distance.
She stepped forward a little bit more trying to see what the dark place was.

"I don't really know." Aria admitted, "I will not allow my pride to go there, it seems... dangerous." She replied, just as she finished talking Aria best friend, Jade, arrived with Luna.
Jade smiled at her before noticing Shani and tilting her head. Without saying anything to Aria she picked Luna up by the scruff and leant up, her forepaws on the side of the boulder. Aria took Luna and placed her with Shani. "Shani this is my friends, sister Luna." Aria said.

Shani, stopped cowering feeling comfortable round Luna.She then got into a pouncing position and playfully leaped onto luna. She growled playfully stepping aside letting luna get up.

Aria jumped from the boulder landing beside Jade before starting to watch the duo.
