Nala awoke the next day, curled up against her mother.The smell in the air was different, like the life was dieing in the pride lands.She went to look out of the cave only to see the land dead and hyenas spread across the area.What had scar done, Shani thought nothing could live here.

"But mama, I need to find simba!"Nala said her face looking around for him.Nala had not seen simba since mufasa died and was begining to wonder where he was.

(OOC: Ok, guys, I think we're kind of getting off of Ranger's part of the story here. I'll figure out a way to bring him back in.)
Ranger told Sara,
"Stay here, honey. I'm gonna go see what's going on."
He went and saw the whole thing. He tried to go after Sarafina when Scar dragged her into the cave, but hyenas stopped him.He growled,
"Move it."

Nala hated the way scar ruled and cried out for simba but she got no response.Simba was the rightful king not scar, she growled as she saw him him dragging her mother off attacking his leg noticing ranger.

Sarafina limped out of the cave, scar had attacked her. She had gashes all around her body, hyenas snarled at her one tripped her and attacked her.

"MUM!"Nala shouted.
She tried to push off the hyena, for it only to push her back.Nala leaped onto the hyena sinking her little sharp teeth into its neck.The hyena cowered away off Nala's mother.Nala then looked at her mothers wounds and started licking them trying to keep them clean.

When the hyena didn't move, Ranger attacked it, sinking his sharp teeth into it's neck and flung it against a wall. This made some of the other hyenas back off pretty quickly. He went over to Sarafina and Nala and asked,
"Are you both ok?"
He heard Sara whimper,
"Dad!," behind him. He turned around and saw a hyena about to jump her. Before he could react, a very familiar caramel brown lioness jumped in front of her and growled,
"Keep your paws off my daughter."
She smacked him across the face leaving claw marks. When the hyena had backed off, Mona turned to her daughter and said,
"Hi, honey."
"Mom! Oh, I missed you so much, I thought I was never gonna see you again!," Sara said, hugging her mom tightly. She walked over to stand next to her husband and asked Sarafina,
"Are you ok, Sarafina? It looks like Scar hurt you pretty bad. And Nala, that was brave of you to try to defend her like that."

Nala smiled up at mona, then looking down and her mother at frowning at the wounds and growling slightly at the stench of hyena!
"Thank you, but my mum is very wounded."

Shani nudged her mother, trying to wake her up, but nothing worked.She tugged on her ear and started crying out for help.She looked up at Mona beginning to cry.

Ranger quickly took control of the situation and leaned down next to Nala.
"Hey, it's ok, Nala. Your mom's gonna be fine," he whispered softly, then asked Mona,
"Well, you think we can get her down to the waterhole? Maybe some water might be do the trick."
Mona nodded in agreement. Ranger bent down to pick her up by the scruff of the neck and Mona lifted her hindquarters. She said,
"Girls, come on. I think you're safer with us than here right now."
Sara asked Nala,
"Are you coming?", then followed her parents down Pride Rock and towards the waterhole.

Soon, they reached the waterhole. Sara, who had been stuck to her mother's side like glue since she'd come back, moved off to let her parents do the work. She approached Nala and asked,
"Are you doing ok, Nala?"
The older two lions laid Sarafina down and took turns splashing water on her face gently and waiting for her to wake up.

Sarafina slowly woke up "Thankyou, i need to get to my cave" She got up it hurt her but she had to make it.

Sarafina finally arived at her cave, but it was over run with hyenas, their only chance was the main cave, but that was full too, Sarafina led the pride to a hidden cave.

Ranger replied,
"You're welcome."
Then they followed Sarafina, Nala and the rest of the pride to a hidden cave. Finally, the two were able to have a proper reuinon.Ranger nuzzled Mona gently and said,
"I'm glad you're back. I missed you so much, Sweetness."
"I missed you, too."

Nala still could not understand where simba had gone.Her eyes where always darting around and she was also trying to always find any scent of him.
(Do you guys want to skip a few and go to the part where Nala finds simba, or not?)

Nala did not care she knew simba would be out there and she would find him.She kept on running hiding when she hyenas and eating when she saw small rodents.

Suddenly pain coursed through sarafinas body. "Not now! Especially when Nalas missing!" She got up and weakly walked from the cave.
Hyena 1= "Well well well what dowe have here?"
Sarafina snarled and batted the hyena and went searching for nala.

Nala was far beyond the pride lands now and was locked onto simbas scent.She could also smell her mother but wanted to find simba more.

Sarafina sped up and charged after Nala rage boiling in her lungs. "GET BACK HERE NOW!" She yelled. When she was angry nobody dare cross her.
(I heard that after Mheetu is born, Nala runs away because Scar wants to have her as his queen, as shown in Broadway and she finds simba and says she was looking for help.)

Sarafina ran to Nala, Rage and concern splayed upon her muzzle and eyes. "Home, now!" Sarafina said angrily. "We will talk more of this later"
