^ Oooh didn't know that haha :3 I guess in a way that meaning of the name is kinda relevant. Even if I pronounce it (ask-kah-ree)

Makes me wonder if it's a fusion(like a star) reactor, or a fission reactor lol Hmm well, I'm no expert in nuclear power, but I think a fusion reactor matches better with his description

WARNING: PHYSICS ESSAY AHEAD! XD
Hm actually, if I dare say, I think fission reactor actually might work better.
A fission reactor is based on the atoms dividing, and releasing energy and heat in the process. When the fuel rods are consumed, however, they will continue to be radio active for years, leading to them having to be buried deep underground to stop the radiation from affecting the environment. Fusion power, like its name suggests, is based on fusing atoms together, and in doing so they release energy and heat.
Today's nuclear power plants are all fission reactors, mostly because though fusion power would be a lot safer and would generate less radioactive waste, it's technically very difficult to achieve on a large scale that could be used as a power plant.
Also, were a fusion reactor to malfunction, it's actually not that bad compared to what a fission reactor would cause to its environment. Fusion reactors require precisely controlled environments to work (temperature, pressure, and magnetic field). So if the reactor is damaged, those parameters are disrupted and the heat generation of the reactor will rapidly cease. Were the same to happen to a fission reactor, however, it'll continue to generate heat through beta-decay for months even after the reactor has been shut down.
Now, if I bring in a tiny bit of information also on nuclear weapons... They use either fission, or a combination of fission and fusion. Based on that, and the fact that his roar (to me, at least) sounds like it could be the radioactive blast from a nuclear weapon, he sounds like his heart is a fission reactor. xD
..... Yeah... I loved atomic physics too much at upper secondary school... I think it's still a bit of a shame I didn't continue studying it in uni, but oh well. xP
Anyway, just a few thoughts on fusion/fission reactions. Not sure if it actually matters which one it is that much though. xD

A fushion reactor malfuntioning is actually a very very bad idea. I won't call a star going supernovae in the milliseconds it takes not a bad thing lol! They are one of the most energetic explosions in the entire universe for a reason. And you have the hydrogen bomb who runs on fushion.
I just thought of fushion due to it requiering less parameters to work, just a stable enviroment, pressure(which would the insides of his body), a magenetic field(well that's what the heart would generate)couple in a tiny bit of natural gravity to get the needed tempratures and boom you have a fushion reactor, in it's natural form a star.
Fission is usually more artificial than fushion, and less natural process in and of itself. Atoms rarely want to divide as much as they want to fuse. The energy output needed to divide atoms is significantly higher than to fuse them together. And you'll need constant stream of heavier elements to divide, were as in fushion all you need is hydrogen and the universe is not running out of that any time soon.
And thse things can burn for trillions of years given their amount of mass, which would also determine their heat output naturally.

A fair point. I wasn't exactly going for the star-type fusion reactors with that explanation really. Was thinking more of the differences between man made fusion and fission reactors. The problem with pressure and stars is that the pressure is created by the mass of the star, and in this case since it's a tiger... It would be rather awkward to have the amount of mass found in stars walking around on Earth. That'd mess up the whole gravity system and everything. So yeah, I think that was why I went for the smaller-scale reactors rather than what occurs in stars. *shrug* But, as I said earlier, it doesn't really matter to me all that much which one it is. It's a fantasy RP after all, so I think it's safe to say that almost anything is possible. XD

Yeah I know that the tiger would potentially have a very large stellar-equivilant mass, but then this is fantasy so! xD Even scaling mown a man-made nuclear reactor to the size of a heart isn't really going to get anywhere anyways if you're to be all realistic about it lol If he wants the character to create potentially Chernobyl and give cancer to anyone he comes into contact with through nuclear decay, then sure

Either way, it'll still be interesting to see this character in action. xP I'm so glad I have a character who can create cold though, just in case something goes.... wrong. Not that I'm suggesting it will, but you know how these RPs work. xP

LOL Things always go wrong! Don't you know Murhpy's Law? xD In any event, I am kinda glad I don't play a character who's a walking fortress of destruction lol! Not saying he's not dangerous but, yeah.

Haha wow, all of this is good stuff *takes notes* xD Hmm I guess I'll go with it being a combination of both fusion and fission, and as for how it can work scaling it down to a tiger's heart, I'll take the easy route and say his body regulates it all and acts like a barrier that contains all that radiation inside, keeping it safe from other characters. Maybe he has a metaphysical huge mass inside of his heart (bigger on the inside, if you know what I mean xD)
Atomic physics isn't really my strenght, so I'm glad you guys could help understand Feldier much better, thanks ^^

He could keep it shielded but as said it'd need to be released eventually. lol

I still constantly check this, it's the only RP I'm currently active in, but I was the last to post here.

I've no plans to abandon this RP, buut I seriously can't set any time aside to post in it right now... You can just assume that Hagen goes along with the group, staying quiet for a bit.

But im still up for it.

I will be, once I actually get around to checking the role plays out. Which should be pretty soon since there's no point in putting it off anymore. :'D

Hmm so this hasn't been discussed again since August it seems I'm sure most of you are still interested in reviving this RP, and I've been discussing some possibilities lately with Leto. I have an idea about making another post with Balam's diary, kind of narrating where we are and what's next to do as a refreshment for the story. We just crossed the Strait of Gibraltar and it's time to walk across Spain and reach Barcelona in the North East. I'm also planning to introduce King Mawsan in Barcelona, who I'll be playing as, but only for as long as we're there, since he won't be joining the party, of course. What do you guys think?
