You guys should keep posting! This roleplay is epic.
Also, I have some questions on the story. Is the goal of the mission on the north pole? If yes, how is the party going to get there? Are they going to operate a boat from Denmark or Norway? Because those are the most nothern points connected to Europe I can think of.

Norway is the Northest point in Europe. The group can easily get there by land by taking a small stroll through Estonia, Russia, Finland, possibly Sweden (unless the vault is somewhere in Northern Norway that connects with Finland), and then Norway. OR if the Øresund Bridge between Denmark and Sweden is still intact, they could go through that. xP Then again, with Balam's expertise and knowledge of human technology, they could just as well catch a boat somewhere. Everything is possible at this point, I suppose. They've just arrived to Europe after all, and there's still a long way to go. XD I'm slightly ashamed to admit, but I can't exactly remember where the vault with the seeds is. XDD I think it wasn't on the North Pole though? Leorgathar, you would know better right? XD |

Everything is possible at this point, I suppose. They've just arrived to Europe after all, and there's still a long way to go. XD Exactly, pretty much anything is possible, if we play our cards right, that is xD there's so much room for ideas on how we'll carry on with the quest, and we might stumble across with some decision-making points (a small example being the bridge or tunnel options I gave at Gibraltar) Speaking of which, there's actually no bridge nor tunnel connecting the Strait of Gibraltar xD, but since this is the future, and there's been talks about the possibility of building one, humans might have as well built those before the Great Light event. Just like this, we can think of other human events or contructions that aren't real here today, but might exist within this RP I'm slightly ashamed to admit, but I can't exactly remember where the vault with the seeds is. XD As we mentioned very early on the planning of this RP, the seed vault our characters are heading to is actually a real place in the island of Svalbard, about halfway between Norway and the North Pole. So... pretty close to the North Pole, yeah  |

So... pretty far Ah yes, THAT was the place. xP *goes to look at it in Google Maps* OHH! NOW I know where it is LOL! And there's polar bears there!!  They're gonna have some trouble getting to the island itself too. It's really far from the mainland, and the glacier doesn't come anywhere near the mainland. During the summer the glacier reaches to the northern parts of Svalbard, and during winter it's just a tiny bit more south from it. I'd estimate it's about 500 km ( or roughly 310 miles) from the mainland in Norway. A pretty long way to cover considering all there is between them and the glacier is open ocean. xP But, yes... As you said, Leor, who knows how far in the future the RP takes place, so there can be structures where they don't exist at the moment. And, as I said earlier, still a long way to go before we have to worry about crossing the ocean. XD |

I could guide you once we get into Norway, and also around Svalbard as i've been to that exact seed vault Lycur I think would be the only one with no issue in getting to the island XD |

Iroetem might be able to get there too, but I doubt she's fond of the idea of flying all the way there. That reminds me. This might come a bit early considering we're not there yet, but what time of year is it going to be once they get higher up North? That's going to affect the weather quite a bit, not to mention that once they cross the Arctic Circle it's gonna be either daylight all the day or no sun at all. |

I'm curious ^^ And Kirsui brings some good points here for the long run, but perhaps we could get there when there's still sunlight for convenience (and it might bring some awesome landscapes for some future Fanart xD), and theeeen we could let time pass as we progress and let it become dark when there's no Sun at all, because of course... there have to be Northern lights, right? ... that'd work well, I think |

^ Sounds very good to me. A trip like this, especially when they're walking, would indeed take long enough for all of these changes to take place. xP I have first hand experience from northern wilderness and how it looks like, so perhaps I could give some pointers in terms of landscapes once we get that far in the story. :3 Now we only need to get the RP rolling again. |

So after a year after signing up I've finally decided to make a post (you all sitting around a sewer entrance was too good an opportunity to pass up). But I've noticed many of the links to character descriptions in the sign up thread are broken. Are those active/inactive threads still up to date?

The broken links would be mine and Zorayda's right? We re-arranged our character profiles. They're still there, just not the way they originally were when we provided the links. I forgot to mention this in all the RPs I was signed up in. :'D Anyway, here are the updated links for Iroetem and Panthera, and since I'm on a good mood here's also links for Ijus and Mlezi. xP |

How about we restart this? Or at least start a new part like in the War for Surra? We could make a synopsis for the first part, because that really made things easier, and I really want this roleplay to live and you know be a part of the world saving team.

Yes, I would reeeeally love to get this RP going again! I think it would be better if we continued from where we left off, though, so we can feel some progress in our quest to the North xD But I like the idea of starting it as a new part, we can make a new thread for it with the synopsis of Part 1 ^^ Also, I don't remember if we had this already, but maybe it would be better to restrict the number of participants to a fair amount so to make this RP more private >< What do you guys think?  |

Restarting it is not a bad idea considering that players have come and gone since we last did something with this. Might I suggest that we in that case hop a little further ahead in time though? Where the group are already somewhat familiar with each other and have crossed the bridge to Europe? I also really like the potential of this RP, but I always think that introduction posts are a bit of a drag... xP

So maybe we could make it a continuation from the previous story after crossing the bridge, but also make it feel like a restart by allowing new sign ups for characters we'd assume were there from the beginning, and removing others from inactive users or whoever wants to change them. I'm up for having this freedom for a new start. I could also write an introductory post with a synopsis from the previous story, and call it "Chapter 2" (I mean, I just kinda like the idea of leaving the scene with Feldier as a cliffhanger end for Chapter 1, haha xD). I might join as something. Probably another jaguar to annoy Leor;). That would certainly be interesting to see xD if this RP gets rolling, by all means be my guest |
