Our Future is Bleak

A set of ice cold eyes had been examining the group that had suddenly formed out. It was a rare sight, and the owner of these eyes didn't remember when the last time had been such a group had been around. The lands were barren, and one tended to kill and eat what ever one could catch, thus making forming a group almost impossible.

Yet there it was, this strange group... One of the males in the group began to run away from the others, yelling loudly that they would be back. The pair of eyes disappeared as their owner backed deeper into the metal waste. They formed a nice shelter from prying eyes, and from the acid rain that fell from the sky every now and then.

When that lone male from the group had come very close to the piles of metal, the eyes appeared again, and soon after their owner pounced out of the hiding spot. A flash of metal was seen when light hit the creature, and when it landed directly on the male's path it released a mighty roar.

It was a feline, a tall male feline, but not the kind that one would see very often. He had large, pointy ears that were now flattened, and his greyish-purple mane was sticking up to make him appear bigger. His light fur was shining with metallic colours when light hit him, and he was flicking his long, lizard-like tail from side to side.

When his roar ended, the tall feline lowered his head on a defencive position and glared at the male who had dared to wander too close to what he considered his pile of metal waste. He growled lowly, and waited for what the other would do.

Moto walked around the group toward the newest feline.
"Might I suggest a less agresive approch?" Moto said.

"I don't know how often a group would meet, at least without killing each other." He said.

A.J walked up in front of the newcomer. "yeah, and if you do want to hurt anybody, you need to get through me." he said getting into a defensive stance and snarling.

[Nakisisa]

(( Jeez, whys it always me? Gun, Scar, you taking to sharis chari? ))

A loud roar and a growl, isn't it just my day, Odongo thought, he immediately turned his head towards where the roar came from, quickly pin pointing the source thanks to his new found power. hearing the soft clink of claw on metal, Odongo dropped low, returning the growl, unsheathing his claws however he didn't bare his teeth, still acting all composed he spoke.

"Now then, is there any need for that sir?" he spoke naturally "Your breathing is heavy, You seem afraid, yet I'm not here to hurt you, yet you seem to see me as a threat, Why?" he asked leaning his head in slightly, listening for a reply,

All he heard was breathing

A.J growled at the new lion, baring his teeth. "If you mean to hurt anybody here, then i will single handedly put your life to an end, so you had better choose your actions carefully, very carefully"

The newcomers' orange neon eyes that seemed too glow peered into the strange creature flickering a glare at the now beast who had started yelling at him he wasn't a attacker he was looking for friends and a family.


when the rocks fell onto him,his left backleg ached and was cut and he couldn't breathe hardly from the rocks ontop of his lungs they slowly squeezed him until he passed out.

Everything turned black and spinning as fell completely on the ground on his paws collapsed the rocks began too fall further up too his kneck he was going too be buried alive if they left him there too die.

Eeve's eyes blinked open when she sensed danger.

"Wh...Wha..."

Her body shuddered at a metallic ringing sound in the air and her reflexes kicked in immediately. Her feet were under her in a blink of an eye, and her glow became more pronounced once again.

"What's going on?" She shouted. She was only a few feet away from Odongo, his white fur almost glowing in the light.

"Your breathing is heavy, You seem afraid, yet I'm not here to hurt you, yet you seem to see me as a threat, Why?"

The metal-furred feline's growl quieted slightly, but he still kept his defencive pose. He could hear some noises come from the group, but for now he ignored them. They would not be important unless they would come closer.

This male in front of him though... He had just come too close. The tall cat narrowed his eyes. The male said he wasn't a threat, but still... He lowered himself very slightly, tensing his muscles and prepared to pounce.

"Nondo, enough."

The metal-furred male cringed, and his gaze quickly moved from the white male to the pile of metal waste. He whimpered slightly when another cat like him emerged from there. This other feline didn't have the metallic shine though, and it was a female. She walked slowly and kept her gaze averted to the ground, as if she wasn't sure where she was going. The male didn't stop whimpering until the female was by his side, and when she was he turned his gaze away from her and watched the ground in front of his paws.

"I apologise for his behaviour", the female said with her gaze still lowered and with her lashes shielding her eyes from the white feline.
"He was protecting me, for I have not been feeling well. He would apologise himself, but he can not speak."

A.J turned his head to the the lioness that had just appeared. "In that case, i won't bother you anymore. Sorry, it's just that out here, threats are everywhere, but just remember, i don't want anyone fighting, or i'll have to step in, and that won't be pretty."

[Zorayda]

"Oh Ajabu, quit showing off," Eeve snapped, hearing his last sentence as she walked forward. "It's not only you who has formidable power."

Eeve bravely sat before the two new felines that looked a lot alike, and yet very different. "My name is Eeve," she said, now used to greeting strangers. She also felt bolstered by the fact that Odongo had called her a 'leader' of sorts.

"The big mouth here is Ajabu, or AJ. The white one is Odongo. The horned one is Moto..." Eeve introduced the rest of the strange 'pack' in a bored voice. She was really getting tired of such drama and tension.

"We haven't decided yet, but I think we are going to try and travel to find better land, something more...liveable," she explained. The soft glow under her fur pulsed gently. "If you'd like to come, you are welcome to. It seems your power would be good to help us to survive."

A.J just rolled his eyes and turned to Eeve. "Oh, come on! Showing off!? I'm simply reinforcing the point!" He responded with an astonished tone. Sighing, he lowered his voice a little. "Well, if you get badly hurt or something, don't say that i didn't warn you." he said matter-of-factly

After being introduced by Evee, Moto stepped forward.
"Hello, and nice to meet you." He said.

"I would shake your hand, but I don't want to hurt you." Moto laughed.

The lion finally came too before the rocks came over his kneck and quickly climbed out using his sharp claws,


then he quickly sat up and licked his leg wound he turned too his left seeing a bright glow it was a white lion they pronounnced 'Odongo' he scratched his ear with his backleg then started looking around for a meal.

He limped past the strange group of animals too go too hunt,as he passed them he stared at the small group saying hello too one another then turned his head foward again and sat down on the ground too rest first he couldn't hunt right now so he would wait until the next day too hunt.

((Sorry guys, i just have to tell Askurez something. Yeah, Asku, you might want to re-read where this role play is set etc. It hasn't got grass, it's in a wasteland very far into the future.))

"Well, i'll leave you lot to introduce yourselves, i'm going to get some rest." A.J turned around and started walking when he saw another lion just walking past the group. He ran towards it. "Hey! I need to speak to you! Wait!"

Oh lol sorry ill re-do it my bad i forgot it had no grass *facepalms* and also hes a wolf-lion hybrid mostly wolf and thats because his parents where diff animals.)


He suddenly stopped licking his wounds he turned too the animal yelling at him and then stood up and stayed silent a moment finally words came from his muzzle,

Thinking the creature wanted too eat him he stopped licking his wounds too talk too the incoming creature."What do you need if you wanna eat me just eat me I probally cant hunt anyways with this wound."
He turned too look at his wounds again and then back too the creature.

The wolf-lion caught Tuweni's eye. The creature appeared similar to her, although the build was different. She noticed that he had been injured recently. At the moment, Tuweni just wanted someone to talk to. She walked towards him, the glands in her mouth producing advanced healing chemicals. Stopping about three feet from the wolf-lion and A.J. Tuweni began to speak.

"Are you okay?" she asked, "those wounds look pretty bad. I can fix them up for you, or at least speed up the healing." She sat down and awaited a reply.

Nondo, enough. Came a new voice, strangely worrying Odongo. I apologies for his behaviour
Odongo just listened as the feline spoke He was protecting me, for I have not been feeling well. He would apologies himself, but he can not speak.

"I am sorry to her of both of your misfortunes." he said looking at them normally, while he actually studied their fur. he turned his attention to the female, "Do you know whats wrong with yourself?" he asked "Do you need anything? Food? Water? Shelter?" he said sniffing the air waiting for a reply, After the female had replied he spoke again, "You don't smell like normal lions, Yet you look like them, what are you?"

The hybrid stopped and looked at the creature similar too him,coming twoards him he then turned his head too start talking with the new creature coming twoards him,but first replied too the other creature. "I am a hybrid my mother was a wolf making me most wolf then lion yet my father was a lion making me a hybrid."


Then he replied too the other one. "I am a bit hurt but i'll be fine
so no worries thank you I would be very happy if you helped me infact nobody has yet around these plains its survival now."

He turned the other way show his left side scar didn't show only his right side that was fine showed.

Tuweni stepped forward. She licked the hybrid's wounds. They slowly began visibly closing up. She backed up and flicked her ears. "There," Tuweni said, "It should be fully healed in about an hour."

A bird flew above Tuweni's head, only to dart away as fast as it had arrived. "So," she muttered, "This hell isn't completely devoid of unaltered creatures. It's been so long," she sighed, "since I've seen something like that." Tuweni fell silent. Her mind was taking her back to the lab. Mice. Humans. Tubes. Chemicals. It went on to her memories before her reawakening. Anger. Blood. Death.

Tuweni couldn't take it anymore. Her legs collapsed and she was unable to stand. She struggled to stay awake. "Damn," she whispered.

Moto went over to Nondo and the other feline with him.
"Might I ask, if it's no prblem, what is your name?" He asked.
Her voice was like soothing music to his ears.

[Akuseru]

Suddenly the creature fell over infront of him, he quickly shot too his feet. "Are you okay?" He helped the fallen creature up,then sat back down.


He then looked over seeing the group talking again wandering why all these differen't creatures are together,he sighed thinking of the family he used too have until the radiation wiped them out.

He wen't blank a momen't then woke up again and layed down thinking.

A.J looked down at the lioness who had just collapsed to the ground "I'm going to follow up on that question....with the same question...are you alright? Is there something your hiding from everyone else? Usually if you tell people things like that, you feel a lot better." A.J sighed. "You know what? Sleep can wait." he said to himself.

"Do you know whats wrong with yourself? Do you need anything? Food? Water? Shelter?"

The female chuckled faintly, and shook her head.
"I thank you", she replied.
"But my... 'illness' can not be cured."
Before she could explain more, the lion spoke again, joined in soon enough by another lion.

"You don't smell like normal lions, Yet you look like them, what are you?"
"Might I ask, if it's no prblem, what is your name?"

"Onya", she replied.
"Perhaps you guessed that this is my brother, Nondo. We are twins."
She paused.
"As for what we are..."

The female finally raised her head with opened eyes. While her brother's eyes had been icy blue, Onya's eyes were almost black and had only an ice blue slit in the middle. Her eyes did look straight towards those who had spoken, but they didn't move like normal eyes would.

"We do not know. I was not aware we look like lions, though it has been a long time since I last saw either one of us..."
She shook her head. Nondo was watching these strangers while Onya spoke, and though he for now seemed relaxed he was ready to protect his sister if he needed.

[Zorayda]

Eeve's own orange irises widened momentarily at the sight of Onya's strange, startling eyes. They looked so scary, but so mysterious and beautiful at the same time. It also seemed that the lioness was staring off into space, somehow...

"Oh!" she exclaimed softly, surprised. Manners weren't something Eeve had a lot of; after all, speaking with all these lions was new to her. "Why are your eyes like that?" Eeve asked, honestly curious. She had no idea that her question could be perceived as incredibly rude.

[Nakisisa]

(( Hmm i think were still slightly away from you zor ))

We do not know. I was not aware we look like lions, though it has been a long time since I last saw either one of us... He also noticed Nondo tense up almost unnoticabily,
"Hmm" Odongo said "You certinally look like lions" he said walking up to her "and you have" he said touching her skin, confused by what he felt "a very cold shiny skin... Almost like metal" he said thinking deeply "If I may ask, When could you last see and when could your brother last talk?" he asked, trying not to sound rude.

He sighed missing his family and mate that has passed away from the radiation and a fire,he looked up at the sky imagining the old times before this destruction was upon them.


He then got up and wandered around,before though he thanked the nice creature for healing him then set off too explore the area and the new creatures he had come too meet.

He looked at the two new strangers one couldn't talk and the other a female the male had icy blue eyes and the other a blackish colored eye which he didn't find weird in any way at all and for one he always rememebred being a outcast before when he had lost his pride.

A.J walked over to the new strangers and the other lions and lionesses. "So, how's this little welcome party going?" he sighed and liked to the strangers. "Im sorry for how I acted earlier, it's just, you can't be too careful around here. However It seems you can be too careful now....Anyway, sorry again. I'll try not to act like that in the future."

Nondo tensed visibly when Odongo approached Onya. The tall male growled a deep warning, his ears flattening again and the fur at the back of his head rose up. When his warning was ignored, and the white male touched Onya, Nondo pounced. He moved fast, and tackled Odongo, raising on his feet quickly and preparing to pin down the white male. From the look in his ice blue eyes one could see that tearing the male's throat open would be the least that he would do.

Just as Nondo pounced again, he suddenly yelped and was violently jerked backwards in mid air. The male crashed into the ground a safe distance away from everyone, forming a small dust cloud that hid him from sight for a while. When the dust cloud dissolved, it revealed Nondo still lying at the ground with his ears flattened and his lizard-like tail between his feet. His icy eyes had lost their vicious look, and were now wide and glued on his sister.

Onya stood tall with her ears perked up and her mouth opened into a faint hiss. When Nondo heard her hissing he whimpered faintly and hid his head under his paws like a cub that has just been told he has done something wrong. Onya's hiss quieted down and for a moment she remained still. Then she blinked and her footing faltered, and she was forced to sit down.

"Are you all right?" she asked, turning her staring eyes towards Odongo even though she couldn't see him.
"Did he hurt you? If he did I swear pulling him to the ground violently is the least of the things I'll do to him..."

Nondo whimpered again, and curled into a tight ball out of shame. Onya's ears flicked at the sound he made, but otherwise she ignored him. She seemed tired, but she patiently waited for some kind of reply from Odongo.

Are you all right? ... Did he hurt you? If he did I swear pulling him to the ground violently is the least of the things I'll do to him...
"I'm... Fine" he said sighing, while getting up, "I understand how your brother feels, it like how I feel for another" he said thinking of Eeve, "but more importantly, how did you do that?" he said careful of how he asked the question "I mean, it looked like it was you who did it, throwing your brother to the ground, but how?" he asked.

A.J smirked while watching the Small fight going on. "Oh man, if this is what's going to keep happening, I'm going to enjoy it. It also looks like we have quite a few good fighters here, which could be quite useful in the long run if everybody can get along." he said, still smiling.
