Our Future is Bleak

Moto saw the short scuffle, and walked over to the male.
"Don't worry, she's bluffing." Moto said. "I hope" He thought.

He walked over to the female.
"Y... You have a beautiful voice." He said sheepishly, and as he did, he took off his blindfold, trying to make him easier to talk to, not knowing she was also blind.
Of course he couldn't tell he was looking into her deep black eyes with blue slits, heavily contrasted by his misty white eyes with faint red irises, but were kind of beautiful in a way. They were opposites, but the same, he had dark fur she had light, he had horns she didn't. He felt like they were made for each other, like two sides of a coin, but he wasn't going to say anything, until he knew.

"-- but more importantly, how did you do that? I mean, it looked like it was you who did it, throwing your brother to the ground, but how?"

Onya's long ears twitched slightly and she remained silent for a while.
"You asked before when the last time I could see was", she said instead of a direct answer.
"We used to be completely identical, until when we became adolescents. I began to loose my eyesight, and Nondo..."

The female fell silent, and shook her head. Nondo had now stopped whimpering, but he still remained at the ground. When Onya spoke again she had changed the subject.
"I gained other abilities to replace my lost eyesight. I can... move things."

"Y... You have a beautiful voice."

Onya stopped explaining and blinked her eyes. She turned her head so that her blind eyes were staring now at the horned feline. She sat in silence, then slowly nodded her head.
"Thank you."

A.J laughed to himself silently and shook his head in amusement. "Boy is this going to be an interesting future." He muttered so nobody heard him. Walking up to moto, he tapped him on the shoulder. "Mind if we talk for a bit?" he looked around. "Privately I mean."

Moto looked over at A.J.
"Huh.. Oh, yes of coruse." He said walking toward him.

"What was it you wanted?" He asked. Moto felt everthing around him.

A.J started walking with Moto out of earshot from everybody else. "So, when are you going to tell her that you like her. Don't deny that fact, it's not very difficult to see that you do like her." he looked at Moto and gave him a reassuring look. "Don't worry, I won't tell anybody. Cross my heart and hope to die."

"What? What are you... was I that obvious?" Moto asked lying down. He felt the fire under his paws as the land beneath smoldered.

A.J sighed and looked at Moto. "Dont worry, I don't think anyone else noticed, I seem to have some way of knowing that stuff." he looked back at the group. "Like I said, I won't say a thing. This'll just be between you and me. Anyway, we should get back, i don't want Eeve to go and get angry with me again for some reason, I don't know why she's so paranoid around me. I guess because I was in the wrong place at the wrong time...I can't believe my luck sometimes, honestly."

"You can count on me to stick up for you." Moto said, streaching his legs. He put his blind fold back on.

A.J smiled and started walking back. "It's good to have someone I can trust out here in this hell hole. It gives me a lot more reassurance." he looked back at Moto. "So, back to the original question. When will you tell her? And like I said, you can trust me not to tell anybody else."

"You're welcom, and I don't think so." Moto said, catching up with him.

"You said you won't tell them, and I thank you, but I don't plan on that any time soon." Moto said, feeling the hot wind.

After escaping a metal prison of torment the lab blew up making a giant light into the sky that you could see for miles it blew him into a rock as he landed he passed out,


The labs fire went out after awhile luckily he was wedged in two rocks that protected him from the heat when he awoke he looked at his paws they where on fire yet didn't burn he felt horns upon his head and a bigger body his head a germen sheperd yet he had a huge fluffy lion mane his fangs where very long then before he had chains latched too his legs that dragged everywhere from his recent captors aswell as pinkish skin from being cut and burned,

He stayed there alone he made a tiny rock shelter easily by moving them then layed under it he was cut scraped bruised and didn't feel like having more humans come after him he sighed and went too sleep hoping somebody besides a human would come and hopefully someone that could now understand him.

Eeve absorbed all that happened around her, the new twins and the one who spoke, Odongo, Moto... she stood up from her brief rest and shook out her fur, her skin still glowing slightly.

"It's really nice to meet you and all," she said to Onya. "But I really really want to find somewhere suitable for more of us to stay permanently. None of us have the ability to go indefinitely without sleep or food...I think."

Eeve moved her eyes from the twins and focused upon Odongo. "Don't you think so?" she asked him.

"Hmmm, what do you mean, move things?" Odongo asked as Moto and AJ went to talk. "You seem to have an intresting life would you..." he stopped as Eeve approached, "Sorry, where are my manners?" he said as Eeve spoke, "This is Eeve, A.J., Moto..." he said finishing off the names, "I don't think anyone could..." He backed away and hissed in pain, as his improved hearing and sight had picked up on the flash and bang in the distance. "What was that? Did anyone else hear that loud noise and see that flash?" he asked.

The hybrid got up he circled around and sighed he looked up at the sky missing his mate.


His ears perked up at a scent being he was a dog mostly and naturally he can smell scents he followed it for a very long time until he finally came too a group of strange creatures including one that was almost the same as him with fie on his feet and had horns.


He crept nearby where they coudln't see him even though he was really big he got into a battle position and watched with his ears perked up all that you could maybe see was his glowing white gold tented eyes that peered at them a gaze so serious it was like staring into their souls he opened his maw his long sharp canine fangs sparkled aswell he crept closer still hidden.

His sleek tounge licked his fangs as he watched.

"Uhh, move things?" Moto said curiously.

"I'm blind so... no, but I think I heard it, a little." Moto said raising an eyebrow.
Moto was abot to comment further, but he 'felt' someone comming.

"Uhh, you do know, I know where you are." He said to the rather large creature.

The huge creature thought the chains mustve given him away he looked almost like moto but was different his gaze stared at the creature that looked at him his fire shaped pupils flashed like burning fire as he gazed a glare at him he licked his sharp teeth,


He dropped one paw down he was holding up it made the ground shake as he did he circled the creature staring at him he was amazed this creature was just like him he must have been mutated and experimented on aswell too look the same.

He stopped infront again kind of leaning too the side as he stood owering his head twoards the similar creature he ignored the group near him the chains on him dragged as he did lower his kneck or move around he finally spoke in a deepish voice, "Who are you and what day and year is this where are the humans even at and why is tehe world like this? oh im very sorry I thought you where the humans Pets" He said with sarcasim in his voice.

"Me? I am Moto, I'm not shure of the date, and I don't know anything about the humans, or this place. Last I remember tthe land was lush and green, a flash, and I was here." Moto said.

"I am as confused as you are.. more or less." Moto sat on his haunches, and looked over at Onya for a second.

"Umm, if you don't mind me asking, why are you chained?" Moto asked adjusting his blindfold with his claw.

A tear rolled from his eye, "Because I was the humans test rat after they captured me they killed my mate I befriended at that lab she died from them testing what they did too me on her too creature a super dog but died I survived and escaped when the lab blew up I destroyed it included they killed my parents I was a normal germen sheperd trained until that happened."


He turned and paced again more rage filling his eyes and sadness his pupils grew a bigger flame as his claws scatched the dirt his fangs grew bigger and his eyes turned red and his fire on his feet grew.

"I am Akuseru,so Moto it is a very nice name indeed maybe they tested the same thing on us both."

He moved his head too the side seeing the group then turned back too Moto.

"Yes, I noticed you too had fire on your paws.. It's varry possible." Moto started to think back.

"But anyways, this is Onyo, Nondo, Eeve, Odongo, A.J...." He went on.

"Eeve had the idea to search for a better place, so we're trying to stick together.. It's working so far. I try not to add to the drama of all this. I have weird philosophys.. just a heads up." I said.

He chuckled a smile grew too his face, "Do you mind if I came along I too search for this place of paradise now."

He sat down and watched Moto speak his ears perked up too listen.

"I think you and I will get along just fine, unless I mess up." He used his horn to scrach his side.

A.J noticed V was talking to yet another new lion. He walked over to them both and looked at the stranger. "It's good to see another lion here, i'm A.J, although i'm sure Moto here has already introduced everybody. Could I ask what your name is?"

He bowed his head in a polite manor respectfully and said nicely."Thank you." He got up and went too see the other creatures but stopped in one spot watching them from a long range he sat down and saw a tiny puddle which was rare in these days now and looked at his reflection he wanted too be a dog again more then anything in the world.

He sighed as he looked at his claws that resembled a raptor since 1 claw stuck up on all his feet his fangs where sharper then a sword yet long like a sabertooth he was glad his face was the same and he beautiful mood changing eyes of silver that had a glowing gold tent too them and a silky velvet lions mane.

He sat alone watching the puddle his head bowed too the ground as if he was not alive since his mane covered his eyes he looked alone as his eyes became a sad blue with his mood.He felt alone in this world he felt different like he was an outcast now because of his form aswell s he felt like a monster too everyone..his eyes changed too a sad onyx color with teardrop colored stripes and spots in it now and his flames on his feet almost stopped too a fizzle.

Onya smiled faintly, then continued listening as Odongo introduced the group. She couldn't see them, of course, but still she seemed to turn her blind eyes directly at each one of them when Odongo spoke out their name and pointed them out.

It was when the explosion echoed around that Onya flattened her ears completely against her skull and hissed loudly. Her eyes were wide open, as if she was surprised of what she was seeing though there was nothing she could have seen. Nondo finally got up from where he had been laying and was swiftly standing by his sister's side.

"What was that? Did anyone else hear that loud noise and see that flash?"
"I'm blind so... no, but I think I heard it, a little."

Onya still had her ears flattened, and she was leaning herself against Nondo's shoulder. The tall male stared at the creature that approached them, and kept staring even when Moto went to speak with the... thing. Onya finally raised her ears slightly when the creature introduced himself as Akuseru, and when Moto introduced the rest of them.

"Eeve had the idea to search for a better place --"

Nondo nudged his sister slightly on the top of her head, and Onya finally seemed to snap out of her immobile state. She shook her head and fully lifted her ears up, turning then to face Odongo and Eeve.

"A... place sounds great", she said with a slightly shaky voice.
"We wouldn't mind tagging along, if there truly is some place where we would not need to worry of the next time when acid rains down and kills the prey."

She shook her head slightly again, then slowly stood up. Nondo stared at her for a while to make sure her footing was steady, then he turned to look at Akuseru. The tall male wasn't yet sure what to think of this creature. He could smell canine all over the thing, but Akuseru was definitely the strangest canine he had ever seen.

Nondo snorted at this thought. What was he to say what was strange and what not when he looked like he did.

He got up and wen't too a rock and sat watching the group suddenly a dark figure appeared in the group center she walked up too me as her soft illuminous voice spoke she kenw it was her long lost brother."Brother I have finally found you." She nuzzled his fur softly and he nzuzled her back he felt her soft silky velevt fur he remembered as a cub he finally found his sister and had a sibling.His eyes turned a happy brilliant lime color.His voice soudned as if he was going too cry he was so happy he said calmy though."I missed you too.."

"I missed you too.." The voice sounded like medacine too her ears and soul and aswell as her heart she sat down her eyes peered too the group curiously he thoughts grew on worrily as she thought wether they are enemies or not.

"Well I take it it's settled then. Eeve, seeing as you have become the leader so far, I would like to make things offical. All in favor of Eeve becoming leader, say aye." He said walking over to her.
