Loitlae out on a "hunt"

Loitlae crouched on her short legs. Her lips in a snarl as she crawled up on her light brown stomach on the cool rock. The small grey mouse that was on the crest twitched and cleaned its whiskers. Just a little bit closer... she thought to herself. She jumped and landed where the mouse had been, but it scurried away to soon for her to catch it.

"Awww, draught!"

Loit walked down the rock and lapped at the cool pool that was still below it. She sighed and crawled under the shade of the rock to escape the heat of the mid day summer savanah sun. Her pink tounge licked her chocolate brown coat to remove it of dirt and parasites.

Ajia looked about. The midday sun was beginning to dehydrate her. She was tired and thirsty. Her dark tan fur was messy from walking all day and she looked half asleep. She decided to groom herself as soon as possible. Her sensitive nose picked up the scent of water, and she slowly walked across to where it was coming from.

Ajia checked for no other lions and lapped at the water. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a chocolate brown coat. She jumped when she realized it was a lioness, like her. Ajia was prepared for a fight in an instant. As a rogue she had to prepare for the worst. However the lioness was not growling at her. Then again she might not have even noticed Ajia. She approached slowly and cautiously. Her ears were flat in submission.

"Hello. I'm sorry for intruding but I was just so very thirsty. My name is Ajia. Do you mind if I stay here for a little while?" Ajia asked the lioness. While waiting for an answer she sat down to groom herself.

Guil the baby decided to look for his mother who had gone drinking water and had not returned yet.
settled near the water demand. but noticed the smell of movement and two females. he was afraid and decided to flee, but when you try to quit without making noise just stumbled on a rock and fell forward to being seen by them ...

"oh, sorry, I did not want to disturb you .."
Guil said very afraid ...

Ajia jumped and turned around. A small frightened lion cub was sitting on the floor looking frightened. Ajia cast her memory back to when she was a cub and her tan fur had not been so dark. Her eyes had been dull then but had grown sharp with age. She leaned down so as not to scare the cub away. She completely forgot about the other lioness she had been so frightened of a minute ago as she regarded the cub. He was a baby, probably very afraid, so where was his mother?

"Hello I'm Ajia. Don't be afraid. Where is your mother?" She asked kindly, stopping halfway through grooming an unruly tuft of fur. She didn't think about the other lioness only the cubs safety. She didn't even stop to think that he might be the other lionesses cub. Without asking permission her mothering instinct took over. She automatically picked the cub up and placed him under the shade of the rock. She hoped she hadn't scared him.

"I'm sorry but you could get dehydrated under the Savannah sun. So what's your name?" She asked, as she turned so that the lioness could only see her side. She placed the lion cub between her paws and smiled at him.

felt much better to talk now , Guil lost a bit of fear, and answered.
"I'm looking for my mother, she was here ... she came here to drink water and not much time again"
he finished the last word looking sad to Ajia.
"My name is Guile, the name of my mother is vienna, you know ?..."
asked him to head down .

Tura padded through the trees nervously calling her mother, sadly she sat in the shade of a tree overlooking the watering hole, she spotted three cubs, padding down to them she heard the smallest cub, the one roughly her size speak, My mother is Vienna, you know?" Frowning she sat a distanace away to nervous to talk, she was only a baby after all she watched the two cubs her tail flicking every now and then, silently she started grooming herself.

Raising her head she saw an adult lioness behind her, trying to look as small as possible she curled up into a tight ball and get muttering comforting words to herself.

(OOC: Not to sound nasty but only Guile is a cub)

Ajia smiled at the cub as he spoke, He seemed a little less timid now and a bit less frightened. He spoke up and when he told her he had lost his mother she lay down and pulled him so he was cuddled against her chest. She hoped he would be cozy there.

"I'm sorry I don't know your mother. However I'm sure she isn't very far away" Ajia assured him. If his mother was drinking here a little while ago she couldn't have gone far. Ajia settled herself so her neck was up straight, so as to check her surroundings. She smiled at Guile and, hoping he wouldn't scuttle away, began to bathe him. Just the top of his head where he had gotten a bit dirty. Suddenly she heard movement and sat up straight. She looked at the other lioness. It wasn't her. She picked Guile up in her mouth and placed him well hidden behind a rock.

"Stay here. I need to go check something out" She told him then leaped onto the rock. She carefully climbed down and silently creeped up behind the noise. When she was right behind where it had come from she realized it was a baby cub like Guile. Too late she realized the cub had seen her. She cuddled up in a ball and began muttering to herself. Ajia cursed herself.

"I'm sorry for scaring you. Don't worry I won't hurt you. So where is your mother? First Guile then you. What is this 'ditch your cub day'?" Ajia said. Once again her mothering instinct took hold of her by the reigns. She silently picked up the cub and placed her by the water. She smiled.

"Have a drink. It's very hot today. Oh I'm Ajia by the way." She walked over to where she had hidden Guile. She smiled at him.

"First I'm sorry about always picking you up. Second it was just another cub. Come on" She said and placed Guile under the small shade of a tree relatively close to the other cub.

Loitlae looked around and sighed saddly. She knew how these cubs felt, but their mothers would probably come back for them. Unlike her own. Lae stood and walked over to Ajia.

"Forgive me for not introducing myself."

Lae was shorter then tis lioness, but not by much. Just enough for her to have to look up to her.

"My name is Loitlae, but my friends used to call me Lae. I have discovered your name is Ajia."

Lae looked at the two small cubs and sighed. Why did mothers just roam off and leave their cubs alone? Why was the world so cruel? Though Lae didn't know the answeres to these questions, she had been subdued to the harsh world too many times to count. She looked over at Tura and her breath caught in her throat. The little femme looked just like her lovely daughter, Nascha, had! A tear streaked her cheek, but she quickly shook her head and forgot the sad memories. She returned her attention to Ajia and forced herself form her depressing past.

"So where did you earn your merrit badge for mothering? You seem very protective of cubs, even those not your own."

She forced a playful smile, hoping the dark tan lioness wouldn't have noticed her saddness.

Ajia smiled at the other lioness. She introduced herself. Ajia smiled whilst keeping a watchful eye on the cubs.

"Nice to meet you. I'll call you Lae." Ajia said smiling at her. She licked a paw and finished shoving the unruly tuft of hair down. Then turned back to her. Ajia blushed.

" My mum and me used to baby sit our prides cubs. I grew quite fond and protective of cubs!" Ajia smiled. She thought for a moment of the days when she lived with her mother in their pride, however she shook of the memory of the pride sadly. She thought she saw a flicker of sadness cross Lae's face but brushed it off. She leaned down to the new cub.

"Hi. My name is Ajia, this is Lae and this is Guile. What's your name?" Ajia asked as she lay down and silently wrapped her tail around Guile so he would feel safe and protected.

I have to agree, go sign up in real role plays instead of making new and new practice ones as the old one is locked. ^^

Kyto walked by when he saw a lizard walking on a branch. Kyto "Growled and jumped back when he hit his head on a low branch" Kyto said to himself "oww what was that?" So when he turned around he saw it was a branch. He decided to go to the water hole and just relax for a little while. While Kyto was at the water hole he yelled "What if no one even cares about me; what if ill be an orphan forever?" So with that being said Kyto began to cry "Maybe i should just die"

Maisha was slowly ambling along, her throat was parched and her fur was hot and sticking to her slim body, all she wanted was to lap at the fresh cool liquid, then perhaps sink down slowly in it till it covered and lapped at her body.

With her head down she wasn't looking at her surroundings, she hadn't come across anyone else for miles now, and in fact she was enjoying the solitude.

Her ears started to twitch at some sort of sound that was coming to her. Slowing down she peered through the bushes that were her final obstacle to reaching the sandy shore of the waterhole. Her eyes widened as she saw a small blonde coloured cub lying down, and by the sounds he was crying.

what's he doing there, blocking my way, little cry baby, I came for some peace and quiet, not to listen to snivelling fill the air.
Watching the cub a moment longer, she couldn't stand it , pushing aside the leaves she strode towards him
"Hey ....you... whats all the noise about ?"

Kyto heard another lions voice so he jumped up and got on his feet and gasped "if you really want to know no one cares about me; my moms dead, i dont know where my dad is and im all alone." Kyto calmed down as drank some water out of the water hole. " So do you live here?"

Maisha stood before the cub with her front paws placed apart, her pads pushing into the soft soil. Looking him over slowly she wasn't sure what to make of him just yet then he jumped up on his small paws and spoke to her.

"If you really want to know, no one cares about me.My moms dead, I don't know where my dad is, and I'm all alone."

The golden lioness relaxed her stance and walked past to where the cub was now lapping at the water, taking her time in replying, she too leaned down and started to drink, smiling when she felt the coolness soothe her throat. Finally she had quenched her thirst and stood back, stretching.

" So do you live here?" the cub questioned her.
Acknowledging him at last, Maisha sat on her rump and stared at him.
"well.. I'm sorry you are alone, but if you can't change it, better stop snivelling and make the best of it, think of all the fun things you can do, without parents bossing you around."

Licking her lips slowy Maisha then yawned
" Do I live here you ask... I think I am really a frequent visitor, I like to keep moving"

Kyto splashed the water.
"i only knew my mom for 5 months and i never knew my dad." The young cub drank some more water.
" Hey maybe i can go with you on your travels!!!" Kyto gasped at Maisha.

Maisha still eyed him up and down as he splashed in the water, sighing slightly she wondered how she could get away from the water hole without having to take him with her, she didn't want the responsibility of looking after something else.

" Hey.. maybe I can go with you on your travels!!!"

oh lordy too late girl, what you are going to say to him now.
Instead of replying straight away she slowly lowered her limbs down to the ground and rolled on her side,
"well for now, whoever you are, you will have to wait till I am feeling more....refreshed, before I make a decision, so go and lie down or something, and try not to make any more dreadful noises like before, you sounded like a dying hyena with a tummy full of putrid meat.

Closing her eyes, she pretended she had drifted off, but still casually peeked at the cub through her fine golden eyelashes.

Kyto whispered to Maisha "It's ok I'll let you rest" with that said Kyto climbed the branch connected to the tree and whispered again
"My name is Kyto whats yours???"

While he watched Maisha rest he decided that it would be best if he practiced roaring for a while, so he jumped down from the tree and padded just a little further away down into the canyon.
Kyto tried to roar "ROAR!!!" but he was disappointed when all he heard was a little weak echo come back to him.
" I wish I had someone that could teach me how to roar and fight." he thought to himself as he stood there with a sad expression on his small face.

Kyto slowly walked back to the water hole his thoughts wandering all the place will anyone ever care for me, so I wont be alone but when he got back to the water hole he slowly moved over beside Maisha and peered down into her golden face, but saw she was still sleeping. Not knowing what to do, he drop to the ground and lay beside her.

Ma-akua walked along the canyon his golden eyes shining in the darkness, he perked his head up when he heard a distant roar, another lion? Ma-akua picked his speed up a bit, his white fur and golden eyes shining making him look like a ghost.

When he arrived at the canyon he sniffed the air, theirs was a hint of a fresh scent. He sniffed some more his ears twitching, a cub? Ma-akua bounded off following the scent. Ma-akua followed it until he arrived at a watering hole, looking around he spotted a golden lioness. Padding forward silently he saw a young cub by her side, swiftly he padded to the cub, he looked at the small cub and smiled. "Hello little one. What's your name?" He asked gently. Slowly he turned away from the small silhoutte to face the large lioness. He frowned, was it just his imagination or had the lionesses eyes just flickered open then closed again? He sighed his breath warm against his cold paws as he waited for a reply from one of them.

Kyto heard a voice from the white lion "Hi my name is Kyto" Kyto gently stood up and said to the mysterious white lion "Im all alone my mom died when i was 5 months old and i never knew who my father was; so whats your name" While Kyto waited for a reply he decided to climb the tree. When Kyto got to the top of the tree he yelped out "augh!!! That hurt!!!" Kyto got a huge splinter in his little paw. After Kyto screamed he slipped and hung from the long dark branch."help!!!!!!! im gonna fall!!!!!!" Kyto claws were hanging onto the branch but he couldn't hang up there for long.

Ma-akua perked his ears up and turned to face Kyto. Before he knew what he was doing Ma-akua had dug his claws into the branch and was pulling himself up to Kyto. Quickly he grabbed the cub by the scruff, pushing his paws against the tree he jumped to the ground the cub in his teeth. Gently Ma-akua put him on the floor, carefully he placed his teeth round the splinter and pulled it out, "I'm Ma-akua. You can call me Akua for short. Who's that?" He flicked his tail toward the sleeping lioness.

When Kyto was gently put on the ground Kyto replied "oh i just met her this morning, her name is Maisha" After Kyto said that he started padding towards the cave behind pride rock. "hey, do you know anyone who can care for me? I just got here and my mom died 5 months after I was born." Kyto said in a sad tone.

When Kyto got inside the cave he noticed that all this tiny fish he had caught were gone. "Where are all the fish i caught?"

Ma-akua followed Kyto, "I could look after you and if I found a mate I'm sure she would to." He looked around the cave sniffing the air, "follow me." He said. Swiftly he ran off his paws pounding against the soft grass, he slowed down when he spotted a hyena knawing on some fish bones. Ma-akua prowled forward silently, with a loud roar he smirked as he watched the hyena run whimpering into the distance. Ma-akua scooped up the last few fish and dropped them by Kyto, "there you go." He said smiling at the cub.

Kyto smiled being embarrassed "thank you thank you thank you" The young blonde cub kept saying over and over again. "If theres anything i could ever do for you?"
Kyto said silently "So are where do you live?"

The young cub started padding towards Pride Rock "umm can I go to the canyon please; I wanna practice my roar?" During the conversation Kyto smiled really big. "Please?"

"Sure little one." Ma-akua smiled then picking Kyto up by the scruff put him on his back. Ma-akua ran with great agility his inky black mane flowing behind him. When Ma-akua reache the canyon he lay on the ground to place Kyto on the ground, "watch this though Kyto." Ma-akua took a sharp intake of breath then let out a large roar. "You try now." He said grinning broadly at his adoptive son

Kyto looked at his new dad with amazment "ok ill try" Kyto let in a deep breath and let it out. Kyto was disappointed when he didn't hear a big strong roar like auka's. "How old were you when you learned to roar?"

Ma-akua frowned trying to remember, "About your age little older perhaps." He thought for a minute, "here I'll show you again in an easier way." Ma-akua closed his eye slowly a snarl formed on his lips and he let out a thunderous roar. "You try just think of something really bad then try to roar."

"oh ok." Kyto thought of when his mother died and then let out a kinda mix of a growl and a roar. "How was that Akau?" Kyto smiled at him. Kyto said in excitment."So do you live near Pride rock?; Ive only been in pride rock for a month now." Kyto padded with pride toward a big rock in the canyon.

"Hey dad have you ever climbed this big rocky wall leading out of the canyon?"

"How was that Akua?"

"That was good son." Ma-a kua drooped his head, "I'm an outcast, I was blamed for a crime I didn't commit."

"Hey dad have you ever climbed thes big rcky wall leading out of the canyon?"

Ma-akua raised his head to look, "no! I don't even thing it's safe, come on son . Lets go back to the water hole Maisha will be waiting." Without another word Ma-akua started back to the watering hole thinking deeply.

"umm dad my name is Kyto the lioness at the water holes name was maisha" Kyto giggled. While Kyto was padding along towards the water hole he noticed that the king was on the top of pride rock calling "Auka!!!!!!" The king was glimmering in the sunset like a god.

"Hey dad the king is calling your name what does he want"
