Yeah, that's a really good idea for Fire's character.
I think a time jump is needed, at least a little one, to let new players join. Otherwise it will probably end up like we left off...people had such a hard time jumping into this one and sticking with it. But whatever time jump everyone chooses is fine with me. Personally, I prefer a smaller jump, that way it doesn't throw off our story as much. I think I like the idea of instigators in the prides trying to stir stuff up after a peace is made. But I'm for anything really.

This RP was classed as dead long ago, and now we're trying to revive it and as far as I know there's apparently only 3 players in atm. Characters are needed indeed. *nod* Personally, I prefer a smaller jump, that way it doesn't throw off our story as much. Question is now, has the peace already been reached after the time jump, or are negotiations still going on? Personally I'm up to both options really. If the peace is still negotiated about, there could be members in the prides that try to stop it, much the same way as in the idea of when the prides are in peace with each other and there are those who want to heat up the war again. |

I'd say go with the idea that peace negotiations are just kinda starting, it's far more tense a situation then if peace has been made.
Cause if there were people who don't want the peace, they might be doing things to try disrupt the peace talks etc.
The question would be if we make the time jump, what has happened to the characters currently in the RP between the last post and when the time jump picks up from.

I know what Tef could have done between the latest posts. She recently re-joined Jahina, so she could have begun to travel between Jahina and Otana to deliver messages, pretty much the same way her mother used to.
What remains as a mystery to me is what Kata has been up to. She was talking with Pulsar at the last posts, so we'd probably need to figure out what happened after that.

Nope, it was originally in the RP You section. All original, non-fantasy characters So I guess we'll do a short time jump to where they are trying to negotiate the peace terms. As for my characters, I guess Gargoroth is now the leader of Jahina, since he took over and whatnot. Kiala is still in Otana, but with Fire gone, that leaves her as the only member. I guess what really needs to be figured out is who are going to be the ones wanting war again? And what of Pulsar's characters? Since they were not in either pride really when we stopped. I think bringing back Legacy once he's fully recovered would be a good plot thickener to start the war once again, but I'd say it can't happen too quickly. I love this roleplay...I'm so excited about getting it active once again! |

But i'd agree with the Legacy thing, perhaps playing him in the down low until the RP picks back up again.
As for who/which characters will try to disrupt the peace, the first ones that'd pop to my mind would probably be Legacy and Kata (Although I'm not sure what Kata's position on the prides is since she was only here after someone, even though she did for a time start working for Legacy). I know that Legacy himself would definitely be opposed to the whole thing, but since he's recovering I wouldn't imagin him being able to interfere much. I've already got an idea of how to bring him back in when the time is right, so for me it'd just be a matter of sorting out Pulsar, otherwise, i'm game for what ever you two are up for.
Perhaps even one of the new members that join could be the one trying to break the peace (If they so choose). Like perhaps they were a member of one of the prides (A member who obviously hasn't made an appearance till now, kinda like a background character or something.)
Even if none of the new ones want to do that, us three have more then enough knowledge of events etc in the RP to do it with our characters, not to mention that they are the types that'd make it easy to do.
But that's getting a bit ahead.
SO, are we agreed on the time jump being just enough forward that peace talks are getting underway?

There's some awesome ideas circulating around this RP. I can roll with the fact that there is peace, but that uneasy feeling that it's not complete peace, just from the fact that Legacy is still alive (Amazingly.. >_>).
I also agree with the time jump as well.

Once everyone's said ok, we'll set about what characters from the original are going to be carried over, then after that we'll work on the basic gist of what happened over the time jump.

I agree, you need the time jump, you just got to sort out whos who and whos been where and all that stuff I wont be able to join, for now anyway.. having hassles with my media and Film and Tv assignments already, and they just starting to roll in, taking my time.  |

Would have posted, but we had what they are calling an "Inland hurricane" yesterday. Bad storms...my aunt even saw a tornado touch down in front of her house and then go back up *yikes* But because of this, the cable went out and the Internet is dependent upon that cable. So no Internets for me.
I'm just fine with the time jump. Let's get stuff figured out and get this RP on the road!

Ok, so, we've decided that it'll be a time jump, that the majority of the old RPers (excluding saf since she's busy) are keeping their old characters. Now, we need to decide what the basic story of the short time jump will be, I guess...

Errr hmm...  The peace negotiations must have started between Jahina and Otana. We'd probably need to come up with what terms of peace have been discussed about between the Jahina and Otana leaders. That, and do we still need a pride leader to Otana? :'D Pulsar, we also gotta figure out what happened to Kata and Pulsar since their discussion was sort of unfinished. XDD |

As for the other thing, yeah we do need a leader for the Otana, who wants to run for office? =P
Neither of my characters will be going for the position, but the rest of you can.
Then as far as the terms of the peace go, once we have a leader for the Otana, both pride leaders can talk it out etc

So far it looks as though the old members in this RP have decided that a short time jump is best, the time jump is basically to a point in which the two prides will be starting uneasy negotiations and peace. Out of the members that WERE in the RP, Lorrie, Fire, Kirsui and myself will all be back in the RP, and is seems that all of us are keeping our original characters.
Currently, we are deciding who's going to be the leader of one of the prides which currently doesn't have one.
At the moment it's looking like Fire is taking up that position.
After that it's just a matter of the two leaders just talking about the situation, then we can write up a story for what happened during the time jump and get back into it.
Relatively short to do list really.

We need both people Rping as the pride leaders, to decide just how far into the negotiations things have progressed, after that it'll just be a matter of writing up a general story (Including some details on some of the old members whereabouts perhaps) and then we're good to go!
