Duyna watched excitedly as Ngiht Flame finally shifted his weight enough to tug Zulu out of the dark, ominous hole and away from its dangerous rim. The cheetah looked rough, his scruffy fur standing on end even more than usual. It was matted with mud and other moisture, and it stood up in stiff clumps all over his thin, limp frame. Even in unconsciousness Zulu looked as if he had undergone so much stress in his life. He had worried himself into a mysterious world separate from their own., and Duna could see the exhaustion in his dirtied face. -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- This world, it was dark and lonesome, completely empty; void of any life or movement. It lacked any emotion, as well; any thoughts or feelings, any questions or answers. It had nothing, and at first the cheetah as unsure of whether even he was there.
Yet to understand its emptiness, he must have been there, at least in some form, and he began to pay attention to his position. He lay limp and motionless, his limbs laid carelessly underneath him, his cheek pressing into the black ground. Soon he noticed that he could feel again, nothing in his body, but some hint of something in his mind. Nothing gave way to its reason, but he could feel something there, a profound sense of loss. All he knew was that everything seemed as if it had come to a tragic end. He could feel the love he used to have for the world in the back of hid mind, but a hatred seemed to incinerate them and leave nothing but an empty sadness. He had given up, and he lay there motionless in the darkness. His heart was as heavy as lead, and it hindered any sort of motion, even the lifting of his head or the opening of his eyes.
This world was void of happiness, of meaning, of life. Why move? Why think? What motivation did he have? There was nothing to work or hope for. He simply waited, waited for something. Waited to die. -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- Duna's sense of uselessness faded as Night Flame asked her opinion of what their next move should be. She considered it for a moment, then voiced her thoughts.
"We might as well move," she told her large, dark friend. "Staying here will earn us nothing. There's nothing to wait for."
The cub took in her surroundings once more. She saw no one from their formerly tight-knit group. Karensha, Memkra, and Maisha were off somewhere in this abyss, perhaps dead. Seleter had fallen surely to her death, and Sereana had wandered off with her cub, it seemed.
But Duna did remember someone whose disappearance could hardly have been explained.
"Where is Nadayshana?"

Karensha woke up with a start.. she could hear noises that seemed were coming from above her. It was still early in the morning and darkness was still spread around them. Rising to her feet slowly, she stretched spreading her front limbs as low as they could go, and then shook herself, feeling her purple fur float up in the air and then settle back down once more.
Moving a few paces, she stopped and looked upwards, her eyes squinting, hoping she would be able to see something, but to no avail did anything appear. there's something up there, I didn't imagine it, it was loud enough to wake me up, why aren't the others moving around.
Pausing for a moment longer, Karensha made her way back to where the others were resting, first coming upon Sereana and the cub. Using her front paw the snow leopard prodded the lioness on her shoulder, not getting any reponse, she pressed harder, letting the tips of her claws rake gently into the skin.
" We need to move, wake Leela and get her ready, It's not safe to stay here any longer."
Moving past she found Maisha lying awkardly on the ground. Leaning down so her muzzle was close by the golden lioness ear, she repeated the same thing, then drew back and approached Memkra. Her eyes didn't leave his figure as she could see him just sitting there alone, staring ahead, it seemed, lost in his thoughts, she finally made it to his side. "Memkra, I really think we need to move, Something is happening above us, things are stirring up there, and I'm not sure if it's going to be friendly or not. Maisha is still hurt and Sereana and Leela, they can't defend themselves very well, I just think its for the best that we find somewhere else to rest perhaps when the sun comes up."

Poor Leela had been snoozing merrily along in dreamland when suddenly her dreamworld started to shake, she was having a dream-quake! Somehow in her dream state, she activate her real legs moving - and then it happened suddenly... thud!! "owee owwee owweee" she protested as she opened her eyes... something was wrong here, why was the world upside down! It took a moment laying there - her head clearing from sleep before she realised it was her that was upside down, rolling over and standing up, she shook herself - dust flying slightly. Then she walked a little to the left and a little to the right, looked around and around, a tilted her head to the side slightly as if she was trying to think. "Ooooohhhhhhh" she suddenly exclaimed, as she remembered yesterday and where they were, then quite unexpectedly her stomach grumbled, she was hungry. She started bouncing around Sereana "Mummy mummy mummy... I'm hungry, what's for breakfast!" with no sense of any danger their situation might put them in.
--------------------------------
Memkra nodded as he looked at who was talking to him, it was good they had finally woken, he had had a unsettling feeling for hours, they were being watched, something was waiting, but waiting for what? Was it aware that there was more to the group? He replied quite simply "Yes, we should move..." not wanting to alarm anybody in earshot of what he felt out there,

(OOC: Hey guys I got the ok to join you so I read back two pages to catch up. Hope you don't mind me joining in!)
I lifted my dirty muzzle to the dim sky and sighed desperately. Come on aminifu, you can do it, just keep walking eventually you'll make it out of here right? Shaking my head I kept walking the pain and soreness of my body protesting every step of the way. I had somehow managed to find myself quite lost after being chased by some strangers. I had picked up a scent trail of a few lions and something like a cheetah perhaps a few days ago. I decided to follow the trail, then it had begun to become muddy and dank, so the trail had been quite lost. I had continued to just trudge on and on until I got out of it. But the problem was there seemed to be no end to the creepy place and now she was dirty wet and lost. Stifling a sob I tried to keep myself together and keep going, but the loneliness was too great. I was young and had only been with out a pride for so long, I wasn't used to the emptiness of the rogue life. Finally I couldn't keep walking to nowhere and I collapsed feeling useless and hopelessly lost. I looked and a short distance to my right was what looked like a steep drop off. Well if I went down there maybe I would die and then this pointless wandering would be over...... no that would be a cowardly move! snap out of it! I roused myself and tried to get up, before deciding to rest there for a while in hopes of getting my energy back up. Flicking an ear I heard something coming from my right and back. Tensing my weary muscles I tried to push my pale golden coat into the muddy ground hoping the noises would go away or be harmless.

Basilisk had been following a scent that he picked up earlier, but he had lost it a little while ago. He didn't really care much though, he was okay wandering alone. He had recently been looking for someone to talk to and maybe travel with though. He had been alone a long time and was getting a little lonely, He didn't want to be in a large pride, 1-4 people was what he was looking for. He then picked up another scent, at first he thought that it was something that he might be able to eat, but after a while he could tell that it was not, in fact it was a lioness. He figured that she wasn't too far, seeing as he could pick up her scent even with all the water and the mud. He got to a cliff edge and knew he was close. He looked to his left and could see something moving around in the mud. He figured she was the one he was tracking down. He ran over to her and tapped her on the shoulder.
"Hey there! whatcha doing in the mud?" He asked playfully.

Maisha was in the middle of a very pleasant dream when she felt and heard someone telling her to wake up they were moving.
" why can't a girl get any beauty sleep around here any more, its always shutup, or get moving, or stay still. I'll be glad when we get out of this revolting gully or whatever it may be called... and ...and I'm starving as well, I hope you realise."
Pushing herself to her limbs, she heard her joints creak in the process, and then her tummy emitted a large hungry growl. Not looking around at anyone the lioness muttered "see told you I was hungry, can't expect a girl to go without food for days on end and still be at her best."
About to tell Sereana to shake a leg, Maisha's ear started twitching, and her head moved slowly looking upwards. It was still dark and as much as she stared she couldn't see any movement, not hear any sharp outstanding noises, but instinct told her, something was up there just waiting.
Finally getting her act together, she moved over to where the other lioness was with the cub. why is she always so slow and moody, hardly ever talks, just mopes about, need to give her a talking to I think, see if I can readjust her way of thinking.
"Seranna, come on, get leela we need to move, and move now unless you want that cub taken for someones dessert."
Padding away, she reached where Memkar and Karensha were standing together. "well, we're ready, which way do we go ?"

Memkra nodded ahead of them "Following the cliff edge is the best way to go... we.. erm... should avoid entering the jungle". Memkra looked around at the others, it seemed Sereana was late waking up despite the hyper Leela jumping around her. He wondered on what he had seen during the night, was it his imagination or some mystical warning from beyond the grave.

(sorry for the Delay guys!!)
Sereana was dreaming of the old days when something pushed her. Groaning lightly she lifted her chin. She was to sore to even think about etting up, non the less actually having to get up. She layed her head bac down not wanting to move at all. She then could hear little thuds next to her ears, followed by little yells for mommy. She lifted her head and yawned. She stopped abrubptly and sniffs. She stands up and scoops Leela up onto her back.
"Lovely..you need to stop... You need to be quiet for a bit, Ill make sure that we all eat soon okay?"
Her tongue gently licks her head and she follows Maisha. Stays quiet. She had no idea where they were going and what was going on. Just knew that she wasnt letting Leela out of her site.

Karensha jumped when Maisha spoke from behind her, normally she heard anything approaching her, must have been because she was concentrating on watching Memkra's face, it seemed that he knew something, that he was keeping to himself, and not including herself and Maisha. Looks like I'll just have to try and watch him closer, see if he gives anything away, its dangerous not sharing what you've seen or heard.
Watching Sereana with the cub, Karensha frowned slightly, she just wasn't sure about that lioness, was she up for what they might have confront them, or were the three of them going to have to babysit her and Leela.
Blinking to clear her vision, a tingle ran up her spine, and she let out a low growl. Stepping around Maisha, she moved quickly towards Sereana and Leela. "Quick both of you get over by Memkra now, somethings up there I can hear more than one, and what we can't see we take as the enemy."

Basilisk waited for an answer, but never got it. He pushed her a little, and again she didn't move.
"Hmmm," he thought to himself, "she must be sleeping. Well I have nothing better to do, so I'll wait until she wakes up."
He found a spot that was less muddy than where she was and lay down. He took a deep breath through his nose and sighed. A familiar sent caught his attention.
"Could it be?" Basilisk thought.
It was, it's the scent of the group he had been trying to follow before. He got up and quickly ran toward them. He got to a point where he could look below where he was to see if he could spot them, and he could.
"WAIT UP YOU GUYS!" he shouted to them.
He wasn't sure if they had heard him or not, but quickly looked around to see if there was some way he could get down quickly and catch up to them.

(OOC: Alright. I'v got the ok to join so here it goes!) Uriah padded through the foliage and out into the flatter area just beyond the outskirts of the jungle. In his powerful jaws, he carried a gazelle carcass. He had the brilliant idea of devouring it around the edge of the gorge he had seen earlier where no one would look to steal his meal. After Uriah had climbed up a hill far enough and dropped the load at the at the top, he looked around to make sure no one had followed him. His keen, blue eyes scanned the area behind him. When he was sure he was alone, he began to eat. (OOC: You guys don't need to respond to Uriah quite yet seeing as your already in an interesting situation at the moment.) edit: thought this was going on in a desert for some reason. *fixed*

Basilisk ran as fast as he could. He had lost the scent of the group, but he knew where they were. still looking around for a place to get down, he had overlooked a tree root sticking out of the ground. he tripped over it with great speed, and quickly started rolling down a hill. He suddenly stopped as he hit something. He thought he had hit a rock, but realized it was too soft to be a rock. He got up quickly, his head hurt, but he was okay. He looked to see what he had hit, and was surprised to find that it was another lion.
"Who are you?" He asked.

Just as karensha urged Sereana and leela away from where they had been lying she heard more noise louder this time. Standing still she cranned her head, the purple fluff swirling around her in the night time breeze. the noise was approaching faster bringing with it dirt and debris, but for some reason she held her ground instead of moving out of the way, her first instinct was she was the first in attack postion.
Blinking back some fine dirt that now covered her face, she had opened her mouth to ready herself for attack, her teeth bared, when suddenly something hit her side on bowling her over. Karensha felt her face being rubbed into the smelly ground, trying to spit out the dirt before she sucked any down into her windpipe. Realising that something indeed had rolled down the steep banks of the gully and had landed on her, her claws unsheathed and she jumped to her paws a snarl emitting from her mouth.
"Who are you?"
The snow leopard had lowered her head to charge when her ears twitched picking up his words. Slamming her paw back onto the ground, karensha advanced towards him her teeth ready for action if needed.
"what do you mean, who am I...you are the stranger here, and the sooner you answer the better, I am really not in the mood for guessing games right now."

Not even one minute into his meal and Uriah heard something behind him. He quickly turned around to see who or what had interrupted him. The sound came from further away. Something was running and then there was a sort of tumbling noise like a rock had been knocked down a hill. If it was hyenas, it would be the third time in a row that his meal had been stolen by the creatures. Uriah listened intently to hear anything else. He heard someone speaking and maybe a faint growl. It definitely wasn't a hyenas growl. Someone was out there and things weren't going well. He looked back at his half finished meal and back in the direction of the noise.
It's not like I have anything else to do. He thought to himself, giving into his curiosity. With one bound, he was off in the direction of the sounds he had heard. The voice grew in volume. He was getting closer.
Uriah heard the last few words of whoever was just over the ridge he had come up to. When he came to the top of the hill, he saw a lion and a snow leopard. The snow leopard was in a defensive position with the lion looking very surprised. Surely they would notice Uriah weather he spoke up or not so he decided to say something.
"What's going on here?" He asked. Maybe not the best choice of words but it was all he could think of at the time.

"what do you mean, who am I...you are the stranger here, and the sooner you answer the better, I am really not in the mood for guessing games right now."
Basilisk didn't appreciate the answer that he was given by the snow leopard. He hadn't done anything to deserve that.
"Why such an angry answer? I haven't done anything wrong, I don't even know you, and I'm not looking to start a fight. Besides, what did you plan on doing? I lived here all my life, I know this place better than anyone! I think your the stranger here more than I. Now, I believe that I had asked first, who are you?
He heard something else coming towards them. He hoped that whatever it was wasn't in a group with the snow leopard he had just run into.
"What's going on here?"
"Oh, nothing much. Just tripping down a hill while trying to follow a group, and running into a very poor mannered snow leopard. Nothing out of the ordinary." Basilisk replied sarcastically

Maisha had been watching karensha from the corner of her eye whilst standing with Memkra, and could now see that something was getting that girls back up in a big way. I'll just watch a moment longer, she can take care of herself, I've seen her in action before,so no need to rush on in...well for now .
Just as she finished her thoughts, she heard the noise and what came crashing down from up above them, thank goodness it was getting light, and they could all now start to see what had been surrounding them. Surprised that a male lion was standing before the snow leopard and she was actually letting him talk instead of cutting him down, maybe he had something interesting to say after all, and then Maisha uttered a few unladylike words when she saw another lion had joined Karensha.
"Mem.. time for us to join in that little debate over there don't you think ?, seems like she's getting all the fun." Not waiting for him to answer she moved slowly past Sereana and leela and walked over to where the three now stood, throwing words at each other. "well, well what do we have here ?" Maisha grinned and walked around the blued eyed male lion, looking him over cautiously, and then moved onto the other one.
"This must be my lucky day.. not one, but two newcomers, and both looking very..hmm..very .. whats the word I'm looking for, appealing, yes thats it..appealing."

The reply to Uriahs question, coming from a male lion, was a bit rude but at least he got an idea of what was going on. It wasn't till then that Uriah noticed another lion, two lionesses and two cubs standing behind the snow leopard. One of the lionesses muttered something to the male standing behind the snow leopard and then approached Uriah. She began to circle around him and then around the male that had replied so brutally to his question. Uriah straightened his posture as she paced around him.
"This must be my lucky day.. not one, but two newcomers, and both looking very..hmm..very .. whats the word I'm looking for, appealing, yes thats it..appealing." Her words were flattering but a bit unexpected.
"Ummm. Thank you?" was Uriahs reply. He said it like a question as if giving an answer to a question he did not know the answer to. He wasn't sure how to react. Normally the females spoke about his brother that way. The 'strong, silent type' was what the lionesses whispered to each other about Zoba.
Uriah continued speaking after the lioness had walked around the dark furred lion. "Hey. If I'm intruding here," He didn't finish his sentence but rather carried the last syllable a little further awaiting a reply.

Basilisk put on a cocky grin as he raised an eyebrow at the new lioness as her words reached his ears.
"Heh heh, why thank you." He paused as he took a second look at her, "not too bad yourself. It's nice to meet your acquaintance." He replied
He was much more interested in this new lioness than the paranoid snow leopard he crashed into. It's much easier to get along with someone in a good mood.
"Hey. If I'm intruding here,"
"Oh, don't worry. your not."
He looked back to the lioness
"So, are you with the snow leopard?"

(ooc: not sure if you guys aware, but they at the bottom of a cliff type enviroment with a 'unknown jungle' (think old films of undiscovered land, was a intended taster of the new fast rp enviroment once its given green light) behind them and small amount of ground between jungle and rocks)
Memkra watched the newcomers come down, that one that knocked into Karensha seemed very opinionated of what he knew but Memkra somehow doubted the cat's knowledge of the jungle behind them... there was still something tingling down his spine. He could not shake the feeling of last night... that ghost, he was sure it had been real, and he somehow doubted this newcomer was gonna put them in more safety with the ruckus he'd already caused.

Karensha stood her ground in front of the two lions, who had somehow appeared out of nowhere, she wasn't amused at all, they had all had enough being trapped down in this purtrid gully, and it also looked like the others had left them for dead, they were now on their own.
The snow leopard nearly rolled her eyes when she saw Maisha stroll up as though it was nothing out of the ordinary, then she had the cheek to walk around the two eyeing them up as though she had never seen a male before and they were all hers for the taking. "Maisha... will you stop with it, and get yourself back over here, anyone would think..never mind, just get away from them, they could be dangerous." Karensha hissed from her muzzle at the lioness.
Karensha stared at the blue eyes one, who almost seemed as puzzled at his position, as they were, but then gaze switched to the other one. He had ignored her and was eyeing maisha back up as well. her white paw came out and not to gently hit him on the nose.
"I was talking to you... your attention please.. or would you like another taste of my paw?"
Where's Memkra, why hasn't he come over here, its safety in numbers now

Basilisk's attention had been taken by the new lioness that he had just met. He had almost forgotten about the snow leopard, but was quickly reminded with a swipe from her paw. It hurt, but he knew it wasn't her best shot. He kept his face in a smile and relented from lifting a paw, making sure she didn't see that she had caused him some pain.
"I was talking to you... your attention please.. or would you like another taste of my paw?"
"Why must you resort to violence, is fighting all that you know how to do? I haven't hurt you, or attacked you. If I had wanted to harm you, don't you think that I would have tried to do so already? Now, why don't you calm down a little?"
He paused before he continued again.
"My name is Basilisk. I have lived alone for most of my life, and I am looking for a group to travel with. That is all that I will give away for now, so I think it's your turn now."

Uriah stood back watching the snow leopard and the lion exchange rather aggressive words. The snow leopard hit the lion when he wasn't paying attention. If he felt any pain at all, he hid it well. Uriah thought it best to be careful around the snow leopard. This one meant business. The dark lion then introduced himself as having the name Basilisk.
Uriah felt awkward just standing there watching but thought it best to keep quiet until spoken to. There was no need to make the situation worse just by interrupting.

Memkra walked up to the group and looked at them a moment and then and looked at Karensha, to be frank he doubted she needed any help, it was looking like she could deal with them just from the look she was giving. Neither of looked particulary like they could beat her either physically... but he knew how much of a lady she was... so being the leader, he had come to give her moral support, a smirk momentarily passed his face when he looked her way. But there was other things more concerning than these drop ins, like how much longer until they could distance away from this jungle.

Maisha gave a look up at the snow leopard, when she tried to reprimand her, but she just gave another grin and continued to observe the new males. hmm one is a bit cocky and sure of himself, the other a bit shy it seems, anyone would think no one has paid him compliments before, I think I'll have another look.
The lioness winked at Memkra as he came to stand beside Karensha and this time she pushed passed those two and walked in front of the newcomers, pausing to look over their facial features, and then plonked herself down between them, facing Karensha once more.
"Well Mem, this is cosy, looks like we have two strong ones to help us out of this lousy mess we have found ourselves in."

This lioness seemed to trust both Uriah and the lion apparently named Basilisk. She just came between them and laid down lazily.
"Well Mem, this is cosy, looks like we have two strong ones to help us out of this lousy mess we have found ourselves in."
Uriah had been called strong before but never while Zoba was standing next to him. And it appeared that the group was in need of some help.
"Strong. You should see my brother. Something tells me you'd like him."
He turned to the snow leopard. Feeling more confident, he took a step forward.
"If you and your cubs are hungry, I have a gazelle not too far into the jungle. I guess you could consider it a peace offering. It's not much but it's something."
Uriah hoped that this would suffice to soften the tension here.

Karensha watched as maisha carried on with the males, she was just starting to get angry enough to give her a whack as well, why couldn't she take anything serious for once, thank goodness Memkra was now by her side and why had the lioness discounted his strength, he was powerful, they had all seen him in action. Her eyes were pulled back to the lion with blue markings on his face, Karensha had to admit to herself, his eyes were a very powerful drawcard, they made you just keep on staring, but she blinked suddenly when he spoke to them all.
""Strong. You should see my brother. Something tells me you'd like him." The snow leopard, swung around quickly, looking for another one to leap out of no where. "So.. where is he this brother of yours ? Isn't this one standing here related to you, you both appeared from no where, it can't be coincidence?"
Waiting, she felt her body clench when the nicer of the two stepped forward, and then making herself relax when she remembered that memkra was beside her and he couldn't strike at her, but his next words surprised her.
"If you and your cubs are hungry, I have a gazelle not too far into the jungle. I guess you could consider it a peace offering. It's not much but it's something."
Karensha wasn't sure what to say, but she wasn't expecting that offer.

Sereana stood and listened carefully to everyone. As everyone spoke, she looked around at everyone in the pack. Her eyes gazed towards where the other half was. She saw only one cub. She looked at Leela. Nadayshana wasnt her business anymore. She sighed and looked at Karensha when she talked again.
"I think we all should try and make it back up to the top... We should see how everyone held up during the night.."
She then sat and took Leela off her back and layed down with her, slowly grooming the young cub. This always made them both relax.while waiting to see what everyone else was going to do.

"Well Mem, this is cosy, looks like we have two strong ones to help us out of this lousy mess we have found ourselves in."
"A problem huh? Well, what sort of problem might that be?"
Daylen didn't have anything to do, and trying to help them with their problem might earn him some trust and respect from the group, and maybe even calm down the snow leopard.

"Oh, but it is," Basilisk replied, "I have no brothers or sisters, no parents either, it's just me out here."

"Oh, but it is," Basilisk replied, "I have no brothers or sisters, no parents either, it's just me out here."
"He is right." Uriah responded. "I've never met him before. I don't know where my brother is. If you've seen him, you'd know. He looks just like me only stronger and his eyes are orange instead of blue."
Uriah was still concerned with making the group feel comfortable with his presence. It might take a while for them to gain his trust but that shouldn't be a problem. He had no intention of harming them.
"If you need help, maybe the two of us can be of assistance." Uriah said as he glanced at the one called Basilisk. "Perhaps I can start by bringing the gazelle I mentioned."

Karenhsa looked back and forth at both lions, maybe it was a coincidence, maybe she was reading to much into them both appearing, it confused her actually and she wasn't too sure what to say or do. Standing there, her tummy started to rumble to her embarrassment, and she hung her head, hoping Memkra would say something, it seemed she had let those instincts from when she was ruled by her father, come into her thoughts and let them overtake her again, pushing away the 'give everyone a chance' .
Mumbling slightly, Karensha let all her abundance of fur flop down and cover her face, thereby letting a curtain come down and cover the emotions passing across her face.
