Maisha had put up a good fight with one of the creatures, but with her injured ribs, she couldn't hang on for much longer, so when it left her thinking that it'd come back to finish her off, the lioness had pushed herself to her paws and quietly moved away sheltering under some low lying bushes, that also had hidden her from view, and she thought she had got away with it.
She didn't know how long she had tried to keep quiet and her breathing low, hidden from view, as she had passed out for a little, but had come around when she heard the roar come from Memkra. Not knowing what to do as everything went quiet, she was about to push aside the foliage and make herself knowen, when she heard the padding of paws stop in front of her.
Freezing in place, Maisha waited, practically holding her breath, when she saw a paw come past the leaves and of all things began to wipe it self on her fur. Her eyes widened and she watched it happen again, she felt the anger start to boil up inside and couldn't help herself, she bought down her muzzle and sunk her teeth into whoevers paw it belonged to and as she tried to push herself up off the ground, she snarled out loudly.
" I am not a piece of rubbish for you to wipe your disgusting filthy paws on, you should get your eyes checked, and be real quick about it."
Finally to her paws she limped out from her hiding place and stared at the lion standing there. Realising that it was one of the newcomers, she wasn't sure what else to say, so kept her mouth closed and just waited, all the while she could feel the dripping of blood running down her back.

"Now now Maisha," Basilisk started to say on his way over to them, "a little blood won't hurt, no need to get into a fuss about it. Theres a little pond over there if you want to wash it off. And please, Uriah, do try to be slightly more careful, next time it may not be a friendly."
Basilisk turned a walked back to where he was, hoping that he had helped avoid any sort of tension between the two. He then turned to face the entire group.
"Now, we need to regroup and head in another direction. Like I said before, this one is no longer an option."

Memkra's head was swimming, how was he going to convince everyone of where they needed to go, what was he gonna say, a ghost told me how to save Leela, come this way... No somehow he didn't think that was going to work. He glanced at Sereana and caught her daggers look at him. He had tried to save Leela, he had caught the creature before it got away with her... yet she was blaming him for Leela being close to death. His heart felt torn in two and heavy.
Hearing noise he knew the others were back, suddenly deciding to pre-emptively announce it he declared "We need to go this way!" Not going into the whys and what not seemed best and he walked over to Sereana. "We need to move to save Leela, I know you are angry at me but don't but her at risk because of that please!" he said to her. His face sincere and he added "I will carry you both if you need it, just please... we must go"

Uriah was cleaning his paw off for only a couple seconds before he felt a sharp pain in his paw. He quickly drew his paw back.
"Ow! What the-"
" I am not a piece of rubbish for you to wipe your disgusting filthy paws on, you should get your eyes checked, and be real quick about it."
Just then, Uriah realized that he had been wiping his paw off on Maisha. She was getting up slowly to face him.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know you were there. I I really didn't mean it." Uriah said quickly as he stepped back. He then noticed that Maisha was limping. She must have been injured during the fight. Uriah tried to figure out what was wrong and what was making her limp like that.
"Are you okay?"

Pushing herself to her paws, Maisha bit down on her lip to stop a groan reaching anyones ears, last thing they all needed was to have to baby sit her, when so much else was happening.
First hearing Basilisks words, she felt a smirk appear but held it back. hmm he first appeared to be quite attractive, but that mouth of his needs a little taming, I'll have to think how to go about that one.. Turning away when he went back to the rest of the group, the lioness eyes rested on the other newcomer standing before her. "I'm sorry. I didn't know you were there. I really didn't mean it."
Feeling sorry for him Maisha soon lost her irritability, and moved closer to him, lowering her voice. "You think you could just check out whatever is causing that blood to run and drip, not a good look for a lady like me."

Basilisk saw that none of them had acknowledged anything that he had said. He probably shouldn't expect them to either, he was new to the group and hadn't gained their trust yet. He knew that the group would more than likely follow orders from Karensha, so he made his way over to her.
"Would you mind telling the group that we need to go another direction? I know that they will listen to you, more than they have listened to me anyway."
Basilisk sat down, waiting for her to give the orders, if she was going to give them. Hopefully she didn't have something else in mind. He knew that this was probably their best solution.

Uriah noticed that Maisha winced a little when she stood up. So, something was wrong. She had blood coming from a wound on her back. Normally a wound wouldn’t cause pain when the inflicted individual moved unless there was internal damage. So now Uriah had to be worried about Maisha too as well as Leela. Maisha approached Uriah casually and spoke to him in a lowered voice.
"You think you could just check out whatever is causing that blood to run and drip, not a good look for a lady like me."
“Uh. Sure.” Uriah said in response as he moved around to view the blood coming out of the scratch on Maishas back. “It looks like the bleeding is slowing down.” Uriah knew the bleeding needed to be cleaned away but he wondered if Maisha could reach it herself. “Can you reach it? Or do I need to...”

Maisha watched as Uriah looked over her wounds, she was hoping that it would run clean and then she could forget about it and get back to the others.
Standing there while Uriah moved around to her flank she eyed up the others, Memkra was indeed trouubled about something, but she had learnt from the time they had been travelling together, even when others had come and gone, was that you listened to him, no matter how far fetched it seemed, there was always a reason for why he did things.
Next her eyes landed on karensha. They had both come along way in their relationship, they knew how far they could push each other, had also laughed and cried togther, all in all, they worked well together.
Seeing Karensha call her over, maisha gave Uriah thanks and stretched her self testing her body and then slowly moved to stand beside the snow leopard. "Whats wrong, has Memkra told you what has got him so spooked ."
Karensha waited till she had the lioness beside her, she didn't want anyone else to overhear her suspicions, and they needed to act quickly. "we need to back away slowly from where the others are and move away, we are being watched by something in the bushes, for some reason its just us. I'm thinking if we can lead it away from the group, and then loose it, and make our way back, the others can rest and not be any of the wiser."
Turning to Memkra, she nodded towards Maisha waiting, and explained they were just going off a short way to attend to things, and made herself blush so he wouldn't query her. Giving the lioness a small nudge, they both moved away over to where karensha had seen reddened eyes staring out at them.
"Stay together Maisha and be alert" Just as they had moved into heavier foliage, karensha felt a hot breath rush at her and then a moment later felt teeth grab her by the neck and throw her to the ground, where two of the creatures they thought that had all been killed, stood over her. She hadn't even heard them coming, all she knew was that she had now put her and maishas lives in great danger.
She couldn't understand what they were saying, just spots of saliva kept splashing her face making her wince in disgust, and then she felt herself being dragged along the ground by her wild tuft of purple fur, and maisha beside her, the same thing happening, but she was unconscious. All that passed through her mind was that she was sure they both would not live to see the others again that they had left behind. As her body was pulled along and bits of skin were ripped off her body and left in their trail, a tear slid slowly down her dirty face and dropped on the ground silently, hers and Maisha lives were about to fade away.
(Karensha and Maisha are now out of this roleplay )

Maisha thanked Uriah for looking over the wounds and padded away a couple meters. She seemed to be looking at each one of the members of the group, just thinking about some things. She stood next to Karensha and whispered something to her. Uriah wondered what it was that she said while the two females slowly walked into the jungle. He decided to wait outside the jungle for them to come out. Uriah waited for what seemed like an eternity before he suddenly heard growling and the rustling of leaves. With a sudden jolt of adrenaline rushing through his veins he ran into the dense foliage. "Karensha!" Uriah yelled. "Maisha!" He heard no response. Uriah continued running until he saw a glimpse of Karenshas and Maishas limp bodies being dragged through the leaves. Uriah chased after them but he couldn't catch up to them. As he dashed through the dense jungle, he tripped over a root and tumbled over. He hit his head on a stone and he cried out in pain and frustration. Uriah stood up slowly feeling weak. Once more, he called out their names. "Karensha! Maisha!" He was too choked up to say their names any louder. The lion sat down waiting for the emotions and pain to hit him when he looked down and found a small lock of Karenshas purple tuft. Uriah picked it up and stared at it as tears filled his eyes. He clenched the soft fur in his paw and put his fist against his forehead while he wept bitterly. It seemed that what Karensha said to him just a few minutes ago didn't matter any more. He was a failure. He failed to keep Leela safe and now Karensha and Maisha were dead and he could do nothing about it. Uriah tied the small tuft of purple fur to his mane close to his chest. Close to his heart. Not wanting the others to find him, he ran farther into the jungle not knowing where he was going. He didn't care though. He had to be away from this group. It seemed that nothing he could do would be sufficient to help them and keep them all safe. They would be better off without him. __________________________________________________________________________________________________ Five days later Uriah had found a large open, grassy area where the jungle tapered off. It reminded him of the places he used to live when he was with his brother and his mother and father. It seemed a nice place to rest. Ever since that fateful incident, Uriah never took his mind off Karensha and how she understood him when he was down when nobody else seemed to understand. Uriah went to go look at himself in the small watering hole he had found the day before when he began exploring the area. He saw the small tuft of fur attached to his mane in the reflection. A small tear dropped from his cheek and hit the water, making ripples and distorting the reflection a bit. "Goodbye" He said. Then he padded off to the shade of a nearby tree to rest. (I'm going to pull out of this rp for a while. I'm in too many at the moment and I need to think about some things.)

Basilisk watched as Karensha and Maisha whispered to each other. Karensha ignored him, and figured that she wouldn't say anything to the group. He looked up into the sky like he usually did when he was thinking hard. He was concentrating so hard that he didn't notice when they snuck away.
He suddenly heard growling noises and Uriah yelling. He quickly jumped up and ran in there direction. the noises suddenly stopped, and Basilisk saw Uriah standing over a piece of purple tuft.
"No," Basilisk said out loud, "no, she couldn't be. She can't be, neither of them."
Uriah ran off with the piece of tuft.
"Uriah, wait!" Basilisk yelled out, but he didn't stop.
Basilisk saw a trail of flesh and blood, and was tempted to follow the trail and try to save them, but he figured it was too late.
"NO!" Basilisk yelled out in anger.
He pounded the ground with his paw, and ripped branches off trees. He took one of the dead bodies of the creatures that they had killed before and ripped it to shreds.
He usually wouldn't be this mad, he hadn't even been with this group for that long, but he started to really like Karensha. He enjoyed the stupid little arguments that they had. Without her he felt like he should just go on his own again. He never connected with the others anyway.
He walked to the rest of the group and gave them the terrible news, and that he would be leaving. He wished them luck in finding the place they were looking for, but he felt his home was here. He wanted revenge, he was going to walk right to the center of their territory and take out every single creature there, even if it killed him. He turned back to follow the trail left behind by Karensha.
(Basilisk is now out, there aren't enough people to continue this RP anyway)

Memkra was surprised at the events the unfolded within a few minutes of his saying they needed to get going. Karensha and Maisha had suddenly headed off into some undergrowth of the jungle for some reason and there had been a noise and then silence. He would of pounced straight in after them but he had to stay and protect Leela.
Then Basilisk and Uriah had moved off and gone after the two female cats, Memkra stood there a while - watching, waiting... but no one seemed to be coming back. There was nothing he could do, they had probably all died by now, but he would get Sereana and Leela away from this cursed place.
Feeling the weight of the world on his back at that moment, he hung his head for a moment, his eyes closed in respect of his fallen conrades before he looked up and crossed over to Sereana and spoke to her "We must be going" but she made no effort to move, just cradling Leela to her.
Memkra stood looking for a while, they needed to go and he knew he was't her favourite person right then and so he went up to her, licked her face briefly and said "I'm sorry". There was no choice, he needed to move her, no matter if she hated him for it, he managed to slid her body onto his back while she held onto Leela. Steadily he moved forward, being careful not to slid her off his back, this was going to be a long, long, journey like this, but it was the only way.
It was perhaps a day and a half later that the route cleared the jungle and rock face, Memkra was tired and he slid down and allowed her to slip off him. Though she was't resisting him, she was exactly assisting either. Memkra just let her continue her attentions to Leela, it was best for both of them and Memkra himself would just lay here a short while, let himself rest a bit... before he knew it he had fallen asleep.
What must of been hours later, for the sun was lower in the sky Memkra awoke with a start, realising he had fallen asleep. Alarm set in him as he realised that Sereana was not next to him but it quickly subsided as he saw her a little further off. She had't gone off yet she apparently had't wanted to stay next to him. Memkra sighed - how long would she hold him responsible and slowly stoof up again and walked across to her "We must carry on for Leela's sake". Sereana just sat there, she certainly was't making this easy for him and he nuzzled his head under her again, lifting her onto his back and began walking again. His muscles were aching like mad and his stomach felt twisted up, it had been over and day and half of carrying Sereana and Leela while walking, his body was running on empty.
It did't seem to much longer until he reached some sort of oasis which he guessed must of been what they were looking for, continuing on he entered. The place was actually quite beautiful but he had no strength to admire it. Slowly he went on over to the pool and knelt down in the water letting Sereana off so that she could bathe Leela. Memkra just laid down where he was, head on the bank, he was just so tired, he needed rest. He would lay here while Sereana took care of things.
------------------------------
Leela had slept a long time it seemed, she woke up in her mothers paws, why was in a pool... Mummy had snuck her into a bath while she was sleeping, that was shocking! "Mummy!" she squeeked, she had apparently forgot what had happned and then she looked around. What was going on, where was everyone? Why was Memkra laid down mostly in the water... was mummy washing him to while he slept, really! mummy was shocking she thought. Whatever was in the water of the pool, Leela had completely recovered.
