Physical Appearance: Tan fur with a long, black mane and tan tail tuft. Additional fur on his forearm elbows, and forearm pits. Green eyes. No additional markings or blemishes. Slender face, no "beard" type fur. Some describe him as still having a "baby face" about him, though the famine makes his facial bones more pronounced.
Behavior: In a group, Mwitaji is always the one studying things intesnsely. He stuies conversations, relationships, objects, items, almost as if he's conversing with them in his mind. Rotating them, warping them, trying to find every angle to them. Sometimes he stops, as if he's trying to sense something through a fundamental, almost supernatural connection. Alone, the reason for this behavior becomes much more apparent. He is very careful about not showing it, but the truth is, in private there appear to be voices in his head that he communicates with. Only he really knows what they are well, and when he's in a group, he knows not to bring them up and not to listen to everything they have to say.
History: Born a child of the Nyasi tribe just as the Sahara stopped being a lush savannah at the end of the first Ice Age and started being the inhospitable desert we know it as today, Mwitaji never got to witness the glorious history of the past his king and his mother had told him about. Thus, the lion became suspicious of traditions, mythologies, and glorifying histories. The lion decided to dedicate himself to knowing how to work with himself and his various emotions, logics, and needs to survive in this harsh wasteland.
But, from the beginning, Mwitaji had experienced his inner psyche much differently than many others. There is still a central "Mwitaji" that is him, and always has control over his own actions. But various aspects of his personality often appear as their own characters in his story, in vivid apparitions that try to poke, prod, and vie for power over Mwitaji at the moment. At the end of the day, Mwitaji has to make the careful decision as to what parts of his psyche are right, wrong, or anything in between.
