Rustle... Rustle... The bushes shook by the watering hole. No animal noticed. A tail flicked out of the bush. The fur was brown, and the tuft on the tail was black, with a red stripe. The sun sank into the ground, and animals walked away. No animal could be seen. A lion walked out of the bushes. He had large green eyes, brown fur, and a black mane with random red stripes. THe line walked to the watering hole, and started to drink.

[sorry im late ] In the distance, another lion was aiming for the waterhole, it was certainly a warm day, his panting was racing to keep him cool. He had been out in the sun all day and was definitely looking forward to a nice refreshing drink. His heart sank a little when he could seen another come from the bushes and made his way to the water hole for his share. He just hoped that this lion wouldn't mind being there too, he was desperate for some refreshment as hadn't come across water all day. He neared the waterhole and quieted his panting not to alarm the other lion too much and took the last few small steps to the water's edge, but kept his distance away from the other lion.

The Jaguar had been observing the two. It was always interesting to get the occasional lion or two around these parts. "Someone's thirsty." The spotted cat said from a low branched tree, sparse of leaves, beside the lion who had quieted his huffing. It seemed as though the lion's attempt at remaining unnoticed hadn't exactly gone as planned as he seemingly had an audience this whole time. Bvlgari's tail flicked, slightly annoyed by how humid it was today. Nonetheless, almost tauntingly calm as he sat upon his throne as if judging the two felines.

The tip of his tongue was just about to meet the water when suddenly his ears flicked by a voice of another animal nearby that he must had not noticed. He winced at the voice and mentally slapped himself for being so un-observant, the other lion and the lure of water had threw him off taking in more of surroundings. Though only 2 words spoken, they didn't sound immediately hostile. He quickly glanced up towards to source of the voice and seen an animal laying along a low branch of a tree. At first glance he thought it was just another leopard, but as he focused more, his markings and build looked....different. Something his eyes had never met before.
His curiosity and concern soon took him off the thought for quenching his thirst until this issue was solved. The animal didn't sound hostile, it was something completely new, thus he couldn't be completely trusted. He didn't want to take a drink with his back turned to this...leopard-ish animal of sorts.
"Quite" He said plainly "Sorry if I am treading on your land, but I just need a quick drink and I'll be on my way..."
He knew he was half lying to himself, if this animal was at least some what friendly he kind of didn't want to be on his way. His curiosity of what species this animal is was thumping his brain.

The Jaguar heard the lions response despite not seeming very concerned to as he lightly groomed his paw. The bare branches above the spotted cat did little justice to shade him, causing his tail to flick continuously. Bvlgari's full attention returned to the lion below him, "Ha! 'My land'." A light friendly, yet sharp grin met the cat's lips, "You lions really are all the same, aren't you?" The spotted feline asked, more as a comment than an honest question. Bvlgari rested his head onto his arms, judging the lion below him. Bvlgari had no ill-will against lions, despite often running into a few with 'quite the personality'. He personally couldn't imagine tying himself to a set, confined area. Well, and staying sane.

The lion raised his brow as the animal's remarks. He opened his mouth about to contradict his statement, but paused. Looking back down towards the ground, he let out a small sigh.
"I wouldn't really know...now please excuse me" he mumbled.
The need for a drink consumed his mind over the judgment on this animal. He didn't have time to stand and talk and the animal didn't seem to pose an immediate threat, he decided to take his chances. He slowly trod to the water's edge, his legs trembling under his own weight and the heat of the sun. He flopped down onto the dry ground with a slight thud, laying parallel to the bank as not be be completely facing away from the animal. He slid his head over the edge and started lapping up the well needed water while almost trying to keep some sort of peripheral vision on the tree.

The Jaguar's ears perked in interest; He hadn't expected that answer. Bvlgari kept silent, although briefly, allowing the Lion to enjoy his fill of refreshment. The spotted feline did his best not to pose any interest, attempting to glance away from the stranger. Unfortunately, his own curiosity managed to get the better of him, as per usual. "Well. You are a Lion, aren't you?" The spotted cat began again, hopping gracefully from the branches and onto the sun-dry dirt below. "You'd be a pretty large monkey, if anything." He joked, though he wasn't entirely wrong about the statement.

He kept him in his side vision as he leapt down onto the ground. He couldnt help but tense a little incase this meeting unexpectedly turned sour, after all suspecting everything is what kept him alive up until now. He took a few extra laps of water before finishing and turning to face the animal. "You'd be a pretty large monkey, if anything." He couldnt help but crack a faint smile as his remark, before flattening it again. "Very true, I'll stick to being a lion thanks" He nodded slightly "But forgive me for asking, but I cannot pinpoint exactly what you are?, You dont seem to be native here, hence my hesitancy" he asked with a curious tone coming across. He lifted his nose into the air to grasp any form a scent surrounding the animal that may half answer his question, slightly re-raising his brow.

Bvlgari managed to caught the strangers brief smile in response. "Lion it is." He duly noted. The confident spotted-cat rested on his haunches beside the lion, hearing his question. Bvlgari frequently caught attention due to having such unique spotting and features. "I'm no Leopard, I can tell you that." Bvlgari was vague in his reply, licking his claws casually, seemingly finding it not that interesting of a topic. He knew he stood out. He knew he didn't have a place here.

"Interesting...." It's all he could say in the matter, he wanted to question it furthur but the body language of the 'not leopard' suggested otherwise, so he decided not to question furthur. He flicked his tail and lightly clawed the ground in an awkward silence for a moment before altering the subject. "Well thanks for making my need for a drink alot more pleasent, i havent had much luck recently when it comes to strangers around these lands" He turned back around to take a few more laps of water, this time a little more at ease and not keeping his eye on him. He then Raised his head back up and caught the few stray drops on his muzzle with his tongue. "Well. I'll be sticking around this area for the warmest part of this day if thats ok, If you would like company ?" He questioned.

Abayomi the scarred lion truffled amongst the rocks, his head held high and his eyes determined

A new scent carried in the air and across Sheek’s nose. Another lion was nearby. It seemed this spot for refreshment was proving quiet popular. Sheek wasn’t in any state to scarper unless required, it was too hot for any excessive activity. He kept his nose high, trying to pinpoint the source of the scent. It seemed to be coming from a formation of rocks. He stayed still to see if anything shown itself.

Abayomi rubbed up against a tree to mark his scent and laid down under the shade, resting his head on the soft dirt ground. High grass surrounded him, covering up his scarred up golden pelt, his blue mane looking a bit messy so he began to groom. His hard red eyes made it difficult for any animal to approach. He had a mean exterior.

He noticed a figure of sorts filtering through the long grass before laying down. He couldn't get a proper glimpse at said animal, all he could figure out was it was a male lion going from the the blue mane that stood out above the tips of the grass and red eyes that pierced through it.
He didn't know weather to approach and introduce himself as friendly or keep his distance and see if the Lion made a move first. He didn't seem too inviting, but Sheek wasn't one to be prejudice either.

Abayomi growled and huffed “where is he?” He growled sitting up on his shoulders. He sat, roaring in the distance and then listening quietly. From how quiet it was, something deadly was in the area. His ear twitched in Sheek’s direction and he looked that way.

Sheek Followed the sounds of roaring, he couldnt figure if it was a roar for help or a roar of aggression. Normally roars would deter him as he wasn't in the mood for a confrontation. But if he was being watched upon, he didn't want to walk away either, he didn't want to come across as submissive, he needed to stand his ground. Or if the Lion needed help, he would offer it.
Soon the Lion was in sight. Sheek simply huffed and growled to let him know of his presence before calling out.
"Is there a problem ?" he said plainly.
