Biosex female
Human equivalent of 28 years old
Heterosexual

Abilities:
Rhea has an intimate relationship with Earth's moon. When she focuses and looks inward, she can manipulate its influence on a particular place on Earth for a limited period of time. Such influences include gravitational pull and light pollution, which can result in things like water movement, extreme winds, or shift in light reflection from the sun.
Rhea's main weakness is that on cloudless nights with intense moonlight, she loses control of her powers and is drawn into a trance, which usually renders her reasonless and violent.
Rhea may yet have more powers to her name, but she lives such a literal and concrete life that she only thinks of her lunar influence on occasion, usually just to convene with the moon and find solace.

History:
Rhea was born into a pride far removed from any supernatural activity, at least as far as she was aware. Rumor had it that her father - Cronus, pride leader - had abilities no one could explain. But they were well concealed; though pride members whispered about what others had told them, Rhea had never spoken to someone who had witnessed anything firsthand. And she had certainly never seen anything remarkable from her father, besides what was remarkable about him in much more ordinary ways. When she was born, Rhea looked much like any other lion cub, with the minor exception of a light, blueish grey pelt and subtle marbling about it. This was overlooked until she developed into her adult coloring, and it was around this time when whispers of Cronus became more prevalent. Rhea grew up in a gossipy atmosphere, where lionesses, cubs and elders speculated about extraordinary strength and even divinity. But to Rhea, Cronus was simply a father, who taught her how to play and pretend, and who tirelessly taught her about the intricacies of their territory. He had a gift for explaining natural phenomena, like why some birds stuck around all year and others were gone for much of it.
One night, Rhea had difficulty sleeping due to a particularly bright moon. As she tossed and turned, she heard a commotion outside the pride's sleeping quarters, some distant roaring and snarling. She left to investigate, and in the bright moonlight she could see her father being confronted by two young males. The conflict escalated within a few moments, and before she could turn to wake her family, she got involved almost without realizing it. As she screamed for her father, the moonlight flashed, periodically blinding her and the other lions. A gust of wind flooded the plain and whipped the grasses into a frenzy, and over the gusts she heard the three lions roar. Panicked, Rhea turned to wake her family, but in front of a drastically enlarged moon she saw one of the males run into her den. In a moment, the other male swept her up and carried her away. Hanging in his jaws, she could see nothing but her father lying on the ground.
Rhea was thrown into a river and ended up living. When she returned to her family, her father was gone. Everyone understood him to be dead, though no one had seen his body after the ordeal, so Rhea was suspicious of this. The other two males had taken over the pride. They allowed Rhea to return, but over the following months the theory began to propagate that Rhea had caused the commotion that had killed her father. Since everyone had already believed that Cronus an Rhea were somehow different, it came naturally to think the moon and wind phenomenon had been caused by one of them. But it had turned out against Cronus's favor, and Rhea was chalked up as having been too immature to control whatever strange power she had unleashed. Her mother and a few lionesses defended her, but the general social atmosphere was against her. Once the two leading males began to quarrel over her as a mate, she decided to leave the pride for a new life. Her mother stayed behind to still the political waters and mate with whichever male remained leader.
Rhea has spent most of her life living alone, occasionally hunting with a particular band of rogue lions to improve their chances. She became particularly interested in hunting ostrich, given their speed and the danger of being near their powerful legs. Because of her interest, she has come to excel at the sport of ostrich hunting, to the point that some have paid her to get the job done for them, or even to watch her in her craft. She has also continued to study the flora and fauna of the land around her, channeling what she imagines her father would be doing with her.
Personality:
Rhea is practical, but enthusiastic about her own endeavors. She commits herself to skills that benefit her in concrete and personal ways. She may come off as stern and serious, but she has a warm heart that is thoroughly engaged with the world around her. If one is to work closely with her, however, they should be prepared to stick to their commitments and take her partnership seriously. Having Rhea on your team is almost always to your benefit, as she is focused and intelligent enough to take on any task to which she assigns herself. What's more, she is not afraid to tell you in precise terms how you have failed to complete a job.
Rhea carries some heavy resentment over the lost loyalty of her family, along with great love for her parents and sadness that she cannot be with them. She is unaware of the fact that she saved her father's life as a child, though she has never been truly convinced of his death. Her highest goal is to reunite with her mother, apart from her birth pride, and to discover whether her father was truly lost the night she discovered her powers.
