Slate lazily napped in the shade, the heat was unbearable so he decided to rest in the coolest place possible, other than the antarctic/arctic. His ears picked up on a rustle in the bushes, he caught the scent of his next unlucky meal, a hare, as it warily approached the 'sleeping' lion, Slate kept on eye barely open and pointed at the creature, his paw slowly moved behind the hare, and *THWACK* he brought it down on the tender meated meal, snapping it's neck. He dug straight in, with no manners...

Baidam was hidden in the tall grass of the pridelands her eyes darting many places and ways keeping watch for any sort of pridelander. She was dragging a smallish Zebra underneath her towards her home, her fathers cave. (Sorry if im not that good im use to role-playing on a site named quotev)

(That's okay.) Slate finished his meal then caught the scent of a zebra carcass, the wars long over, he didn't think that any outlanders were still rebels, as many had joined Kovu and Kiara's pride, dotting around after. He stalked towards the smell, until he saw a outlandish fae, dragging a zebra. He followed her, keeping down wind of her and out of sight.

Baidam flicked her tail at the pesky flies still dragging the carcass before dropping it with a great huff once she was there. She rolled her shoulders laying down on the cool stone floor of the cave. her boddy rose from each breath she took from lugging the zebra here. Her eyes watching the opening but she briefly closed her optics resting her head on her paws but her ears piveted every which way listening.

Slate now laid beside the mouth of the cave, he watched the rebel as she sat there. He wasn't sure if announcing his arrival would be the best idea, he coughed then hid behind a rock, luring her out of the cave, if she was anything like her father, she would be smart, Slate was also smart, like his daddy. He waited for her to leave the cave's maw, so that he could surprise her.

Baidam's head shot up as she narrowed her crystal eyes slowly rising to her feet stalking silently to the maw of the cave but stopping right underneath the opening speaking out in a smooth but authoritive voice "Who is there." She stated flattening her ears her muscles tensed for any sort of threat.

Slate sighed, he was never as great as his father, mainly because he was half-pridelander. "Slate, Who are you?" the lioness' voice sounded similar, but his father had taken any cubs that looked like him from his mother (Any Outlander-ish Cubs) leaving Slate the only cub out of two, a male and female. (They could be long-lost siblings, if you want

(Awesome idea!) A frown formed at the bame on Baidams maw "I am Baidam, what is your business here." She asked catious in her tone as she fully stepped out of the cave. The name soumded familiar as she raked her mind fpr the reason why it did.

Slate growled "What is your reason here?" he had a feeling that this encounter would either be for better or worse. "Who were you born to?" he asked, his tone serious. Her named caused him to feel strange, as if she was apart of him...

Baidam tensed again at the growl but did not move "I am the daughter of Scar." She stated simply not mentioning her mothers name as it would bring back hurtful memorys, she also didnt know if Zira was truely her mother. this male, Slate was both intruging her to know more about him but at the same time making her weiry.

Slate growled, just the mention of Scar's name made his stomach twist with anger, the way he treated lionesses was sickening. He sat proudly, knowing that his mother was Kiara's aunt, "My mother was Kiara's Aunt." he chuffed proudly. He had been told about Scar from his mother, she talked fondly sometimes, but not often, she seemed to have known him differently to the others.

Baidam scoffed her tail thrashing slightly, "A pridelander, eh?" She asked while rolling her eyes in a annoyed way, "Makes sense, is this about me killing the zebra?" She huffed lightly walking back into the cave "You don't need to hide, come on in its bloody hot out there." She said loud enough for Slate to hear her.

Slate walked out from behind the rock, his mane resembled Scar's in some way. "You killed the Zebra, you don't need to worry 'bout it." he scoffed, annoyed that she thought that this was about the- oh wait, it was originally about her kill, he forgot about that though. He was as sleek as Scar as well.

The lioness flicked the end of her tail her eyes questioning his answer as she looked him over. Baidam sat down curling her tail around her paws "Then why exactly are you here Slate?" She asked smoothly, he resembled her father in many ways though his color was diffrent so was his muzzle, not as sharp like hers.

Slate replied "I came to ask if your a rebel? After all, many outlanders became pridelanders, forgeting the wars..." he added on the end, he watched her reaction, judging her movement, calculating her moves.
