Description:


Ossie is a maned lioness,her mane falling around her face in the shape of a heart, instead of under the neck like a scarf,which gives her the appearance of a male lion. That's not the only thing that makes her look masculine,she also has broad shoulders and a built frame,her body type taking on a lions features as well....just a little smaller in size.
Ossie's fur is a little thick and super fluffy,moving a little everytime the wind blows. Her mane has a bang in the front the hangs between her jade green eyes.
Speaking of her mane it is of normal consistensey,and flows from her ears to the peak of her chest. With looks like those she's bound to be a heart-throb and with heartthrob comes heartbreak. Her mane and tail tuft are a deep midnight black, her main fur is a light gray,as her underbelly,paws,and face highlights (eyelids and fur surrounding it,muzzle) are a pale grey. Her nose is a soft brown, which really highlights her face with the gray against the brown.

 

Behaviour:
Ossie is one to put on the tough guy act, pretending she's a rebel, insensitive, and independent. She also comes off as brash and boyish.  She will often want to play and ruff you up or want nothing to do with you at all.  But as stated before, it's just a act.  Ossie is actually rather timid and insecure but she hides it by being overly cocky. She is also sensitive and afraid of being alone and fears of never belonging anywhere which she hides by calling herself independent and wandering different lands but never settling. She will often reject those who come off as romantic interest by saying a big scary male has claimed her already but she wouldn't hold unto a promise a cub made years ago to make her his, she just gets shy and that's her best way to hide it.  Another excuse she likes is that the others are too cute for her to be tied down to just one lion. She prefers for others to think she's a boy and with her name and looks it's not a hard feat, for the longest she thought she was a boy herself (she still does sometimes) The only one who has seen her true side is her "beloved"

History:

Ostrander doesn't know much about her origin, she was left alone after she was weaned. Her parents never coming back after she could basically function.  She doesn't remember what they looked like or even their scent but quickly went about surviving on her own.  The land she was born in wasn't the pridelands or the outlands but somewhere far in the jungle.  She was fairly close to desert though and so had small prey animals to hunt. As time went on she began to wander until she came upon the desert and won her way into a pride of cheetahs. She stayed there till adolescence and made plenty of friends, particularly one who was determined to woo her from the start, his name was Ikshu (Indian for sugarcane). Ikshu was her best friend and the two were always together, at first she avoided the flirtatious cheetah but he stole her attention one day,  Ossie was walking along when she suddenly heard music. Naturally she followed it to be lead to a rock where the cheetah revealed himself and did a rather enticing dance, standing on two paws he swayed his hips and tail while his top paws moved into whatever position he pleased,  similar to a belly dance,  from that day he had claimed her attention.  He claimed to be a descendant of India and told her great stories, showed her the proper way to hunt, fight, and survive. As well as some fun things like dance, sing, and charm others.   The two played, grew closer, but both were not aware that they were of different gender.  As time went on the two became unseparatable and Ikshu asked her to become part of his coalition and she agreed assuming they were both males.  One day while they were grooming each other Ikshu noticed that she wasn't a male, and was quick to alert Ossie about it herself,  however he didn't kick her out of the coalition. However,  he began to act strange, growling and acting somewhat violent towards her. Unaware that he was courting her she left feeling she had out stayed her welcome and began to wander again, while Ikshu decided he would find his " missing" Love. To this day Ossie still wanders not even that aware that Ikshu is still following. When she got knowledge about other animal behavior she realized that she wasn't being attacked and that Ikshu wanted her affection, but assuming that it was just a cubhood thing she continued to wander.
