Kikao
The name means "wanderer" in Swahili.
Species: Female Liger
Age: Adolescent ((May change to an adult, all in due roleplay time. I'd just like to rp her more Youthful days~ maybe wouldn't even mind rping a cub, but, I'm not sure if I have the patience, since I do so very much want her to grow up.))
Description: a liger with ivory fur- her stripes are something of a reddish-creme or a very light orange. Her eyes are bright and large, still shining with the curiosity and spirit of youth. Tiger-like markings mainly dominate her head and her haunches, and a few stripes wind all the way around her ankles and at the tip of her tail. the back of her ears are that same winter-sunset color, and a few spots and dots fleck her snowy pelt- notably, above her right brow, below her left brow and her left shoulder. One stripe deviates on the right side of her face, like a crescent moon that curls under her sea-green eye. ((My goodness, just look at the picture. I didn't draw it for nuttin'!))
Behavior: The first word that comes to mind is quiet- thoughtful and observant too. As a teen liger, she has trouble speaking her mind or strangers. She struggles to learn how to socialize properly, and may even come off as rude or aloof because she doesn't answer. It's likely she's not doing it to spite you. She's just somewhere else- lost in thought. Even if she doesn't speak her thoughts, they're definitely there, and it would be a grave mistake to take her silence for ignorance. She can have fun- it's just she doesn't find it in words. Perhaps if someone were able to get the adolescent to trust them, they'd find that the liger has many different ideas and thoughts. But trust was never something that came easy to her. She's a very fast learner, and uses her observation skills to their maximum to learn things from and about others-Whether you wanted her to or not.
As an adult, Kikao is much more accepting, having better understanding of how a pride works. Regardless, her words are generally brief, and her voice rings with an experience beyond her years.
When upset, Solitude is Kikao's remedy. She tends to go dissapear somewhere, to be alone with her thoughts. She's generally not one for anger unless the situation gets dangerous, or it involves cubs- to which, she'll be very (perhaps over) protective. Protective, and a supporter of 'tough love'.
History: Kikao was born in jungles far to the east- her mother, a lioness, became ill shortly after bringing her into this world, but was able to care for her cub until it was weaned before passing on. Kikao was still very young and inexperienced- a lonely cub without a mother, she would encounter many foes within the dense tangles of vines, and always making a narrow escape. She'd learn to feed herself, snacking on insects and the occasional mouse, if she were able to catch it. One dark night, she looked up and swore she saw the image of her mother in the stars- running through night-clouds like they were tall savannah grass. Kikao followed her, whether the delirious and frightened cub had imagined her or not. She traveled by night, and rested by day, and on the journey, facing many perils, she grew. Eventually, she followed her apparition to a strange, drier land of vast plains: and a large boulder that rose high and above, like a pedestal, or even perhaps a giant throne. Pride rock. She wondered if her mother had led her to a new home- a place where someone else could take care of her in her absence? There was only one way to truly tell. She now hunts their plains for rodents and other small game, while sneaking out of the sight of the resident pride- too cautious to approach, though, she dreams of joining them.
((probably will change as IC story in rps unfolds :3))
