Name: Radi (Rah-Dee)
Species: White Rhinoceros
Age: Adult
Gender: Male
Description:
Radi is on the larger side of the average rhino, he's big, heavy, and muscular. He's mostly a light gray color, darker on top and fading slightly toward his belly. Like all white rhinos, he has two horns, the front horn being longer and larger than the back horn. His most distinctive feature is a set of scars running the length of his right side.
Behaviour:
Radi is a solitary male rhino and thus spends much of his time by himself, but this doesn't mean he's averse to social situations. In fact, he's quite friendly for a rhino. Because of his size, strength, and general rhino-ness he has very little fear of any other animal in the savannah. As a result he has no reservations about travelling anywhere - except into the territory of another male rhinoceros.
He spends most of his time around watering holes and loves wallowing in mud. He's a bit of a gossip so he likes hearing around the goings on of the various animals on the savannah, though his information is not always accurate. Nothing makes him happier than being asked for information or, even better, his opinion on something.
History:
Birth and early life was pretty typical for Radi, until his mother, Enitan, was captured and killed by poachers. Though he was old enough to fend for himself at the time, he was deeply effected by her death and spent much of his time in a depression by the watering hole. During that time he was watched over by a giraffe called Nia, an old friend of his mother's, as well as a herd of gazelle that frequented the watering hole. This has led to his love of watering holes as well as eternal gratitude toward Nia and gazelle in general.
His mother was very knowledgeable and was well-known around the savannah as being the animal to go to if you needed information or guidance. As a result, Radi dedicated his life to learning as much as he can. Additionally, in an effort to follow in his mother's footsteps, he has a habit of giving his opinion even when its not asked for.
Radi got his scars while defending a group of gazelle from a clan of hyena. He managed to drive them off but not before gaining deep wounds from a particularly vicious clan matriarch, Katlego.
Author's Note: I would love to pair Radi with a tickbird companion. However I'd like to leave it open for another person to play the tickbird so I'm not just constantly talking to myself, haha. No one is under any obligation to play one for me, though, I just wanted to leave the option open.
