Lost Legacy (Kito&Kovus Reign:CC)

Kito:
Kito let out a loud yawn, as she woke up, the soon cracking over the horizon, she snuggled back up to her mate, Kovu, enjoying his warmth, when something hit her from the side. She looked around to see Azua & Amia glancing up at her, with a laugh she rested her head on her paws, "Whats do you want?" She asks happily with a chirp.

Azua:
She glanced at her mother, an apparent frown on her face. "Dad promised to watch the sun rise, and its already up in the sky!" She complained, sitting down with a thump, glaring.

(Do you want Amia or me?)

Nuka was walking around the watering hole with Aline, his mane was starting to come through messy and the dark brown of his father which stood out against the brown fur from his mother. "Mother is starting to manage a little better now." He said to the adolescent by his side. "It's still difficult for her of course."

"She lost two cubs and her sister-in-law. It won't be easy. I'm more worried about Kovu, he's not showing any emotion whatsoever. Not in front of us anyway."

"It's there, he mourns when it's dark and the Pride are asleep. I've spotted him numerous times." Nuka replied. "Come on, let's get back to the Pride. They'll be waking soon."



Kovu continued to sleep unaware of the conversation going on beside him.

(Hm, you could take Amia if you wish, i will take a few other of my own characters By the way Azua is male also, could we say Kiara had a male heir in secret?))

Kito:
"Your father needs his re-" She growled slightly as she was interrupted by Azua. "What did i tell you about manners?" She said rather angrily. Kito and Kovu were still young looking, but by now they were fully matured adults, Kito`s lighter brown had gone slightly darker, revealing a set of darker brown stripes on her paws. And a small dark brown spot was on the end of her nose.

Azua:
"But-" He gave up the argument, a frown on his face. "Why does dad always make promises he can`t keep?" He whined loudly, as a few lioness woke up groaning about the sudden noise. "Whoops, sorry" He laughed, glancing at his sister, who just sat there, taking it all in. "Goody two-shoes" He mumbled under his breath.

Dotty:
Dottys apperance had altered grately, you could tell she was growing old, as was her sister, since their markings had gone grey, and they had dark rings under their eyes, the many years they had spent together had finally worn off, but they were still there for Kovu when he needed them the most.

Matumaini:
Meanwhile, the young golden coloured male, was prowling around the borders of the Outlands, until he came across some marked graves. "Ugh, its hose graves that mother told me about" He said, remembering the day his mother died as anger crossed him. As he began to dig the bodies up. "They shoulden`t rest in peace, their mother killed mine" He said rather coldly.

Kovu

Kovu rolled over as the sound of his cubs voice woke him up, he'd had another night filled with nightmares about Kiara, about Simba and about losing his children and Nala again, but this time Kito and Nuka died too and his three new cubs suffered before him. He tensed a little, the nightmare on replay, printed on the back of his lids. His expression was hard, his eyes wide and terrified and his breath coming through in sharp pants. "Kito." He gasped quietly.


Amia

Amia grinned when her brother called her a goody two-shoes before sticking her tongue out playfully, her fur was the colour of her fathers main pelt and her markings the same as her mothers. Her eyes however were the double of her Aunt Vitani's. "Daddy, you were supposed to take us to watch the sunrise this morning but you didn't."


Nuka

Nuka led the way back to his home when a crack of a twig nearby caught his attention and he began snarling before moving closer to Aline protectively. "Who is there?" He demanded.
"Kovu it's me, shut up." A voice replied and Aline's twin sister padded into sight.
"Oh, Izzy." He sighed in relief taking in the black fur, the twins had panther in them, the fur colour was the only sign however. They looked more like their mother than anyone else, the same eyes, the same build and the same mischievous personality. Nuka however could tell them apart, their eyes were different shades. Whilst Izzy's were dark blue, almost black; Aline's were a bright, light blue.
"Right again bright eyes." She grinned before padding over and nuzzling her sister.
"We're just going home, do you want to come?" Izzy looked to her sister and shook her head.
"I'm good." She replied strutting off away from them


Aline

Aline smiled and watched her sister walk off before turning her attention back to the Prince beside her. "Let's get going, I want to play with the cubs for a little while."
"You are such a child Aline." Nuka laughed as the pair raced up towards Pride Rock, "Race ya!" She giggled taking the rock pathway quickly, beating the Prince easily. Once she reached the top she spun around and grinned at him. "You need to up your game Nuka. A King needs to run." She mocked as Nuka reached her, he growled playfully before pouncing on her and the pair began rolling around playfully together.

Izzy

Izzy continued on her way, padding into what was once the outlands. She was coming to visit Vitani, she'd always been like a second mother to her, especially when her own mother was to ill to do anything with her. She padded up towards the large rock before stopping dead, a snarl ripping through her lips. "Who are you?" She demanded as her gaze fell on the lion who was currently pushing the rock.

Kito:
"What is it?" She asked, turning her head, and seeing his expression, and shaking him to wake him up. "You need some therapy for those nightmare Kovu" She said in sadness, her head drooping. "And plus, Simba and Kiara are dead now, and you still have all of us, and the whole pride shares your pain. You need to stop locking yourself away Kovu.. i know its hard.. but please" She said in defeat, and concern for her mate, who had hardly got any sleep at all since they came to Priderock.

Azua:
He growled at his sister before slamming her to the cave floor. "Shut up." He muttered, holding her down, until eventually Kito seperated the two. A frown on his face. "Your so weird.." He said, and on weird, he circled his paw round the side of his head, and made a funny face. And started laughing as he mocked his sister.

Matumaini:
"Oh, hello there" He said with a cold grin, she he looked into the lioness eyes, he was the absoloute double of Kiara, but a male version. "I should introduce myself, my name is Matumaini, my mothers last hope. Oh, i think you know my mother right? Her name was Kiara" He stated his mothers name in an ice cold tone, enough to freeze anybody to the bone.

Kovu

"I'll be fine, it just takes time." Kovu mumbled, he reached out and pulled Amia to him, of all his cubs she was more of a daddy's girl then her sublings. "Come on kids, let's catch the last of the sunrise. If not we'll watch the sunset tonight." He pushed himself into a standing position and stretched, opening his jaws in a large yawn.


Izzy

The hybrid tensed a little in shock at his words. "Oh, I heard of Kiara. She wasn't liked by many people in my friend's pride." Izzy stepped closer to him carefully, "How is Kiara your mother? She had no cubs. She only wanted cubs with Kovu." She said, her voice trembling a little.


Nuka

Nuka stopped his game with Aline before standing up and padding back into the cave with her by his side. "Morning mother, father." Nuka greeted going over and nuzzling his parents before giving his younger siblings an affectionate nip as Aline began pawing at them playfully.

Kito:
"It does take time, but.. you`ve hardly been getting any sleep" She said, rather sadly. She smiled as Nuka walked into the cave. "Hello Nuka" She greeted her eldest son, as she nuzzled him. "Did you come to play with your younger siblings again?" She said happily, at the fact he still messes around with them from time to time. "Hello Aline" She greeted the other adolescent, a smile on her face.

Azua:
"Hi, Nuka, Hi Aline" He greeted with a playful little chirp. He then growled at Alines oncoming paw, and pounced on it, and let out a triumphant cubbidish roar, but soon he realised it sounded nothing like a roar, and his ears flicked back in embarrassment. "Come on then!" He said, racing ahead of the others to the peak of Priderock, watching the sun go down, a soft grumble escaped his lips as he muttered something inaudible.  "Ugh.. too late. Again." He rolled his eyes, walking back into the cave with a glum expression on his small face.

Matumaini:
"Well, Kiara wasen`t exactly my mother, she adopted me from Coyote territory, my father, he left me there with the promises of return, but he never came back for me, luckily, Kiara found me, like this, before she was brutally killed by the lioness you call a Queen. She took me in and raised me as her new Hope, to take back what was once hers and get revenge for what pain Kovu and Kito caused her" He stated this rather boldly, if she had heard the story of Kopa, she would know that this was him, standing right in front of him, several long pink scars traveled down his body.

Kovu

Kovu smiled at his eldest then nodded to Aline just as Azua returned looking upset, "We'll watch the sunset tonight, I promise." He told the cub as he stood up. "For now I'm going to patrol the area. I'll be back by noon." He give Kito another nuzzle and ruffled his children's heads before walking off.

Aline

"Good morning your majesty." Aline said to the two lions before she laughed a little at Azua before continuing to paw at him encouraging him to chase her paw, "I hope you don't mind when I play with them. I just love cubs." She continued as Amia pounced on her back. "I can't wait to have my own."

Nuka

"God help whoever the father would be. I can imagine you with like a dozen cubs." Nuka teased, trying to hide his jealousy at imagining Aline with someone else.

Izzy

"So your sister was your mother Kopa? Now I've heard it all. Why are you here and why didn't you go back home if you escaped. Nala used to cry about you every night. Even when I was a cub. Even before I was born. You might be interested to know though that your father is dead." Izzy growled defensively.

Kito:
"Just stop it Azua!" She yelled at her son, angrily. "Be more like your sister!" She lets out a low growl at the cubs never ending moans, before walking out of the cave, and sitting on the ledge of Priderock, and looking over the familiar kingdom.

Azua:
"But its not FAIR!" He yelled in anger, as his father had broken another promise. "Why don`t you understand!" He said, with a small temper, close to tears but not showing it.

Kopa:
"Who? Kiara is my sister?" He said, cocking his head. "But that would mean.." "But Kiara said that, Nala wanted me to leave, she was glad i was gone?" He said again, confused. But then soon let out a growl. "I don`t care anyway, i don`t care about your past, i don`t care about anybody apart from my sister/mother thing UGH!" He said in distress beginning to pace around.

[Ruby_Fehu]

Nuka

"Hey Azua, how about Aline and I watch the sunset with you three. You know dad is busy being a King, you will understand when your older." He said gently, placing a paw on his brothers back to comfort him.

Aline

"Of course we'll take you tonight, but you have to understand your parents are busy they have a whole Pride to run and it is coming up to being about a year since certain things happened. It's a difficult time." Aline said, her tone gently.

Izzy

"Yes, Kiara is your sister and Nala was devastated when she thought you were dead. Simba said that it had been an accident." She said soothingly, taking a small step forward to him. "Your mother and Kiara are dead. Kiara brought it on yourself and Simba killed your mother, not literally but sort of. It's complicated." She continued, taking another step towards him.

Kovu

Kovu sighed heavily and heaved himself up before going over to Kito, "Are you alright?" He asked gently, bumping his head against hers affectionately.

Azua:
"Okay.. i guess..." He said giving out a large sigh, as his ears slightly drooped.  He still, out of boredom batted at Alines paw.

Kopa:
He let out a deep sigh. "Why has all my life been messed up?" He said, muttering to himself, he sat down, and drooped his head, his brown mane flopped down into his eyes. "I just don`t understand.." He muttered again. "And, if both my mother and father are dead, then who is ruling the pridelands? Is it Kovu and Kito?" He said, almost growling their name. "How can i just trust anybody anymore!" He shouted out of the blue in anger.

Kito:
"I have a feeling.. its just a hunch, its so peaceful, it just seems too good to be true" She said, to herself, her ears drooped as she looked at the floor. "I feel as though something bads going to happen.. and we`re gonna loose everything.." She said, shuddering at the thought. "I just can`t risk that happening, but i feel so powerless, as if it did happen, i would not know when it would happen..." She murmured.

[Ruby_Fehu]

Kovu

"Don't worry Kito, everything will be fine and if anything does happens we have an entire Pride who respect us. We're large in numbers, we can manage whatever the Great Kings throw at us." Kovu replied nuzzling her softly.


Izzy

"Yes Kovu and Kito are but the Pride respect them, they know the truth about Simba and now follow them obediently. Come with me if you like to see." She offered, raising her paw and batting his mane out of his eyes. "I'm Izzy." She continued, sitting down in front of him, still alert in case.

Aline

The lioness laughed and pushed Azua over gently, growling playfully at him. "You can't beat me kiddo." She teased.

Amia

The young cub watched her brother and Aline giggling a little before going to Nuka and nuzzling into his paws.

Nuka

Nuka smiled at his sister and in one stealthy moment scooped her up in his paws and placed her on his back.

Kito:
"I know that, and i respect that, but its just an insecure feeling, even though we have a huge amount of others to protect us, i dosen`t seem good enough, especially if it is somebody close to you." She stated, rather saddened.

Azua:
He let out a playful growl, "Oh no, i can beat you, but you will never beat me!" He said in a playful toe, pouncing up and batting her paw, and then crawling under her, and batting at Alines long tail, trying to find a way to climb upon her back, without harming her.

Kopa:
"Its nice to meet you Izzy, and.. i would like to take a look at my former home lands, see what they look like now, it has been quite a few years" He said, rather happily looking at her in new-found respect.

(Lawl, i really really am tempted to do a stampede scene with Azua and Nuka ;3)

Kovu

The large King nodded his understanding. "I understand, but for now just relax okay? We're fine, our cubs are fine and our Pride is fine." He nuzzled her lightly, "I'm going to patrol and then I might take the kids for a walk, show them the Pridelands later on, will you come if I do?"

Izzy

"It's this way." She smiled turning and starting to walk away slowly waiting for Kopa to follow her. "You have to promise not to kick off though." She warned, half playful half serious.

Aline

Aline swished her tail before lying down in front of Azua so he could climb up on her back.

(Lol ha ha, or we could do it with Kito and Amia? That would be even better)


Kito:
"Its just a feeling, but i guess i am going to get used to the peace" She said, nodding and emitting a small chuckle. "We were nothing when we first met, and now we have everything" She mumbled, in awe. She quickly glanced across the lands. "So, where about would you be taking the kids? " She questioned. "Because when your done, i was thinking that you could go on patrol with Azua, and i go on a quick history lesson with Amia" She stated, as her tail flicked.



Kopa:
"Seriously, i won`t" He said, laughing.

[Ruby_Fehu]

(Sure)

Kovu

Kovu tilted his head thoughtfully, "Sure. I can do that, I'll go on patrol first and then I might take them to see Vitani, Tani and Kivu." He said warily, "Nuka and Aline will probably come along too then." He turned to glance over his shoulder. "Azua, Amia come here." He called loudly.


Amia

Amia appeared first, "Yes daddy?" She asked sweetly.
"Your mother and I are going for a history lesson." He said nuzzling his daughter who ran over to Kito, "Oh? Where are we going?" She asked excitedly.

Kito:
"Ah yes, that would be good. They could." She said, showing a hint of sadness in her voice. "Oh Amia!" She yelled in shock, but calmed her voice down.  "We are going to be going to the gorge, to learn more on the great king Mufasa, Simba`s father and your fathers Uncle." She explained to her daughter, as she bent her head down and nuzzled her daughter, before smiling.

Azua:
He soon appeared, an angry look on his face, as he pounced on Amia "You cheat!" He yelled at her in anger, as his side was covered in squashed bugs and dust, and also grass stains. "Wait, were going on a history trip? Ugh! Booooooooring" He moaned, before pretending to faint. He got up and let out a loud chuckle. "Whats it about? Is it good? Or is it something.. boring?"

[Ruby_Fehu]

Kovu

"You're not going on that trip Azua." He said with a smile, "You and I are going on patrol." He glanced up at Kito. "We'll meet you by the outlands?" He asked her.


Amia

The young cub bounced around excitedly, "Let's go mum!" She giggled.

Izzy

The young adolescent guided Kopa back to Pride Rock, "So how long have you been wandering around alone?" She asked curiously.

Kito:
"Come on then Amia" She said, beginning to walk away, until she heard Kovu`s voice. "Yeah, sure. When the sun starts to set? She called over her shoulder, before hopping down the side of the gorge, before doing so, she picked up Amia, as she reached the bottom, she walked towards a snapped tree, with grass and flowers growing around it. "This is where the great king, Mufasa, went to the stars, he now watches over us.." She says looking up at the sky in awe.


      Azua:

"Yes!" He said in happiness bounding over to his father, sticking his tongue out at Amia. He then puffed out his chest. "If any rouges come near us, i will defeat them! And all will bow to the mighty Azua!" He yelled, jumping on a nearby rock in pride.


Kopa:
"Well, about 7 months. And it was a very confusing seven months indeed" He conferred to the female adolescent. "So you live in the pridelands?" He asked, feeling suddendly stupid for asking that question, of course she did.

[Ruby_Fehu]

Amia

Amia padded ahead of her mother and tread onto the grass carefully. "What happened to him mama?" She asked innocently.


Izzy

"Yes I do with my sister. She's been distant lately though. Why has these past 7 months been confusing?" She asked sweetly.


Kovu

The King laughed, "Yes they will son. Now come along. We have a whole Pride to patrol." He said grinning at his son.


Nuka and Aline

The two friends padded out of the cave together and watched as Nuka's parents and the cubs went their separate ways. "Come on, let's go for a walk." He said to the hybrid before walking off with her.

Kito
"Well, he was betrayed by his brother, and flung from the walls of the gorge, into a.." She was cut of by a rumbling, as wildebeest flooded the gorge, fear filled her eyes. "Stampede." She finished picking Amia up and running as fast as she could, soon a wildebeest hit her in the stomach, as she dropped Amia from the force, she got up again, in pain, placing her on a rock, as she was swept away...

Azua
"Yeah! Lets go!" He said happily. "Wait.. whats that?" He asked in fear looking at the gorge.

(I think I might kill Kito, or knock her out... x)

Kopa:
"Well, all that I have been told was lies!" He said in anger.

[Ruby_Fehu]

(Up to you)

Kovu

Kovu sent his gaze over towards the gorge. "Stampede." He gasped. "Azua, go home and get your brother and Aline then STAY put." Kovu said before bounding off towards the gorge.
He reached it within minutes and saw Amia, who was sobbing, first. "Amia, go up the trail and go home. Azua will be there, stay with him." He warned as he leapt into the stampede, flitting between the wildebeest one by one. "Kito!" He yelled.

Aline

Nuka and Aline padded along together, minding their own business, when Alina spotted the stampede first, "Look Nuka. Stampede." She said, not thinking anyone would be down there.


Izzy

"Well I know a few things from both sides, I mat be able to answer. What do you want to know?" She asked brightly.

Kito:
She got up weakly, as she was rammed again, her eyes were becoming clouded, as blood began to pour from her mouth, she found she coulden`t breathe, as another wildebeest trampled her stomach, as she coughed in agony, as her eyes finally became fully clouded and the wildebeest still cleared, dust was everywhere, as she lie in the centre, lifeless. And this time, she would-en`t be coming back.

Azua:
His fathers words echoed around his head, as a tear clung to his blue eye. He ran, until he eventually found Nuka and Aline. He began to cry, and hugged Nuka`s leg. "You need to go home. A stampede.. mother and father..." Was all he managed to say before he burst into tears, blue streams making waterfalls down his brown fur. 

Kopa:
"Well, i was told that Pridelanders were savage, cold and unfair, yet the Outlanders.. were just battle addicts." He stated, then saw some dust in the corner of his eye. "Oh look, a stampede. I just hope nobody's down there.." He murmured to himself, shaking his head as he thought he was two figures in the gorge.

[Ruby_Fehu]

Kovu

Kovu managed to push through the stampede when he skid to a halt in front of Kito. "No!" He cried, "Not again, no!" He raced over to her and began nudging and nuzzling her despite knowing it would be useless. Eventually he just lay down in front of her, nuzzling and kissing her.

Nuka

Amia eventually joined her brother and the two cried against his paws stammering about the stampede. "Aline, take them both home. I'll follow when I've found dad."
Aline nodded and began guiding the cubs away. When Nuka turned and raced to the gorge.

Nuka reached his father and slowed to a halt, "Mother." He whispered going to her side. "What happened?"
Kovu remained silent, staring at Kito.


Izzy

Izzy followed Kopa's gaze and gasped when she saw a three dark shadows. "There is someone there. Kopa we need to go and look." She gasped, racing off.

Kito:
Kito soon found herself awoken, no pain.. nothing. She looked around, this was not her home, or the gorge. Until a deep voice boomed through the clouds, as a golden and red maned lion showed her Kovu and Nuka. "But, how can that..." She stopped. "Have i joined the great kings and queens of the past?" She said, looking towards Mufasa, who nodded. Meanwhile in the mortal world, Kito was nothing no more, despite Kovus attempts, and how much she wanted to, she had already been given enough chanced. "Please.. let me go back.. they need me.." She said, looking down upon them. Mufasa gave a swift shake of his head briefly, before walking away into the clouds.

Azua:

He suddendly felt the urge to resist the commands of his older brother. Kito was his mother too. With an angry growl, he ran through the grass until he eventually came to the gorge. "Mother...." He stuttered. walking up to her body, and curling down beside it, as a few tears slid from his eyes again, and upon the dry sandy floor.

Kopa:
He ran swiftly beside her, until he eventaully reached the gorge "Gods.. no" He said in shock, and remorse for the lion king.

[Ruby_Fehu]

Aline

Amia raced off after her brother and the young teen followed after them. She caught up to them and inhaled sharply, automatically she went to Nuka's side and began nuzzling him gently, showing how sorry she was.


Amia

The young cub, went to her fathers side, "Daddy." She whispered before crawling over to her mother and lying with Azua, crying quietly.


Izzy

Aline's twin gasped and stepped forward before shrinking back beside Kopa. "I need to go back to Pride Rock and tell them what's happened." She whispered.


Kovu

The King padded to his cubs and scooped them up in his paws, holding them away from Kito. "Hush now children." He whispered soothingly to the sobbing siblings.

Azua:
"Don't shush me! Why can't I display my feelings! She was our mother, and yet you drag us away from her!" He yelled tears still streaming down his eyes. "She always protected us all, but there was nobody to protect her!" He stomped his paw to the floor, and walked back to his mothers side.

Kopa: 
"I think you should..." he stuttered, turning and walking away from the gorge.

[Ruby_Fehu]

Kovu

The large lion was taken aback by his attitude. "No one knew this was going to happen. I tried to save her Azua. I was too late though."


Amia

Amia stayed with her father, wanting the comfort of him.


Izzy

"Come back to Pride Rock with me Kopa, whilst I gather the Pride. We'll sort you out after this." She said gently.


Aline

Aline exchanged a look with Nuka, who had gone to Amia's side and was helping Kovu soothe her.


Nuka

Nuka went to his brother and lay with him. "Come on kiddo, cheer up. Your dad and sister need you to be strong."

Azua:
"Im fed up of trying to be strong, to bottle away all of my emotions! " he yelled in anger.  He began to run off, climbing up a small rocky slope, and lied down, head in paws.

Kopa:
"You don't need to sort me out, they need you more" he stated boldly even though he was shaken on the inside.

[Ruby_Fehu]

Izzy

"You're coming with me." Izzy repeated firmly.

Aline

"I'll try." The lioness followed after Azua and lay down beside him, resting her head on her paws; mimicking him. "Azua, Nuka and your dad aren't telling you to bottle up your feelings. Everyone needs to show emotions but you can't make things more difficult for your dad, he's lost so many people he loves. The only people he care for that are still alive are you, your sister and Nuka. He's lost his mate, his sister, his parents, his brother and two other cubs it's hard for him." She said softly.
