The TLKGO Fandub, take 2

Yup. It is what it sounds like - a TLKGO fandub of The Lion King!

I've run this project before, but it was never completed and was a lost cause in the end due to material simply not being sent in. However, despite that, because I'm slowly finding my way around my new editing program and because I simply find it so much fun to do, I would like to attempt this huge thing again This time I'm not going to hope for redoing the complete feature, but I'd at least like to get some complete scenes together that we here at TLKGO can enjoy C: (Of course, if we gather all the material, doing the entire film would be the most awesome thing!)

So, I will need some voices! Since I'm running the project, it seems fair that I get to pick first, right? xD I'm not going to be using any voices from the old fandub if I can avoid it; I want this to be brand new!

Casting will be first come, first serve. However, do not sign up if you don't think that you could complete your lines and have them sent in to me within a couple of months at the most. If your recordings haven't been done by that time, the role might go to someone else. This is to keep the project moving and to give a second chance to people who didn't get to sign up for the part they wanted the first time :3

You will also find a "scene wishlist" below. They are the specific scenes we would like to do and the ones I'd like us to focus on for the time being. If you see that there are parts available for a scene, try to fill those spots first :3 The same applies if you have the part - if you see that there is an incomplete scene in the wishlist containing your character, prioritise that scene.

Mum said okay!!!!! I can be Nala (cub). Do I need to sound similar to Mizz_Wayland as she's voicing adult Nala, I'm worried about whether it'd sound strange if we had completely different voices.... Oh and also do I use my normal voice for this or do I need to sound like Nala did in the original film?
Also how much do we need to act, how much emotion? If you're (Kanu) not happy with our lines do we need to re-do them? Do we do a new recording for each line or for each scene or for every few lines?

I'm not sure if you guys can tell, but I'm REALLY excited about this!!! I have wanted to do something like this since I was very young. I'm practically jumping up and down! I will need to pace myself doing the lines I think (due to breathing difficulties after the clots in my lungs), but I should be able to meet the deadlines. Wheeeeeeeeeeee so happy!

Oh and I could provide manic laughter for background hyenas if you need it. I'm known for laughing fits.

Naw, the films have different sounding voices too. Don't worry about it. :3 Also just use your normal voice, no need to change it and it is more fun that way. xD

That of course, is what I'll be doing. :'D I'm hardly going to attempt imitating Timon LOL!

That reminds me, if we find someone to do Pumbaa and both of Simba's voices, are we going to do Hakuna Matata scenes too? :3 Just a thought, and I'll gladly do the other two scenes with Timon first. xP

Jessamine, I don't think you need to sound that similar to Mizz_Wayland, I think it keeps things more interesting that way. I think you should use your normal voice, but it should sound "cub-like", if you see what I mean? And acting is good, very good! Just make sure it works with the lip-syncing of the film :3 I'll ask you to redo them if they don't sync, as that'll look strange on the screen. Whether you make a new recording for each line or do the entire scene in one go is up to you. I could also understand if you'd need a longer deadline because of what you've been going through, so if you need more time just let me know Some hyena laughs sounds good too xD

I sound mature for my age so depending how old you are and such won't really make a difference and it'll sound good if our voices contrast with each other if that makes sense? I mean when I do mine kanu can tell us which if either of us if we need to change the way we speak if we sound too alike.

Also Kanu I should be able to get mine done by the end of next week (1st June)

That reminds me, do I do Nala's singing lines in I Just Can't Wait To Be King? I don't mind doing this, I'm just asking if you want me to do that. I can record the chorus of the song as well. Do we need to record choruses of any other songs?

Mizz_Wayland and I are both from the UK anyway so hopefully we won't sound too different. But not too similar too.

I'll get on my laptop later and download the recording programe.

Well what I recorded then were just practices. I've actually done some of my lines now and I'm happy with them. I just want to get a second opinion off my friend before I send them.
