Nguvu caught wind of the conversation between Tamu and Muundo and froze, eyes growing wide. His lung began to drag in air desperately, like he was dying from a lack of oxygen, and his muscles seized and made him tremble. Killing... dead... parents gone... Mother... With a whimper, he collapsed, his paws over his ears as he blubbered piteously, the mention of death and violence sending him into a fit. Nearby, Fadhila looked on in concern, her brow furrowing in confusion--she'd never seen the quiet, shy lion do something like this before. She couldn't imagine what was wrong with him...
After a full two minutes of loud, embarrassing sobbing, the blonde-maned adolescent began to quiet down. He came to his feet, face partially hidden by his long fringe. He was still shaking from head to tail. Fadhila, after glancing around confusedly at the others, approached him carefully.
"Nguvu...! What's... what's wrong? What's the matter?" she asked, bewildered and frightened by his uncharacteristic behavior. The lion didn't answer, but turned on a dime and began to rush off, trying to escape the company of the others. Tears were visibly dripping down the sides of his face and from his muzzle, though his eyes were still unseen under his mane. His ears were completely flattened to his skull. He sprinted, not looking where he was going, and of course, as luck would have it, he slammed right into Destiny. He stopped in his tracks and looked at her. His eyes were bloodshot, wet, and totally and completely unfocused, like a delirious madman in a feverish dream. It was like he didn't recognize anyone in that moment, that he was nothing but instinct and fear. His face contorted suddenly, nose wrinkling and muzzle lifting to expose white, sharp fangs. His pupils were shrunken to pinpoints in a sea of gold as he half-roared, half-screamed at the poor white lioness.
"OUT OF MY WAY!" He rushed past her and shouldered her harshly on the way by, disappearing somewhere onto the savannah and away from the pride's den. Fadhila could only stand with her jaws parted slightly in absolute shock at the raw fear and desperation Nguvu displayed... it was so scary and strange, to see him like that. Subconsciously, the lioness had put a paw in front of Phyllon protectively, like Nguvu was going to attack... but he wouldn't have...
Would he...?

"Where've you been?" "Morning Seleter, enjoyed your morning sprint i see"
Seleter grinned widely when Destiny answered Mchanga's question for her. "You lions move so slowly", she remarked jokingly. "Gotta keep myself in shape somehow."
"Oh! How are you this morning, Selly?"
The golden cheetah turned a curious gaze at Fadhila, and noticed how Phyllon seemed to be in need for comfort. She wasn't certain what had caused the cub's agitation, but realized what Fadhila was aiming at with her question.
"I'm feeling good, thanks", she answered, smiling cheerfully. "Spotted a few gazelles on my way back. Gave them a little start but didn't chase them too far."
She was about to continue further with her description of what she had seen during her morning sprint when she heard Nvugu's whimper. She stared wide-eyed as the light maned lion sobbed on, uncertain of what to do to comfort him. She was still frozen on the spot when Nvugu seemed to calm down and Fadhila approached him. She then was suddenly startled when Nvugu attempted to rush off and collided with Destiny, snarling at the white lioness to get out of his way.
"W-what was that?" Seleter asked when Nvugu disappeared from sight, her earlier cheer completely replaced by shock. She then shook her head and turned to look at Fadhila and Destiny with worry. "Should I go after him? I know I can catch up if I go now."

"Ah, well, they'll be all right," Said Fadhila with a faint smile.
"I hope so," the cub sighed. Maybe Fadhila was right, he shouldn't be worried, and whatever happened with Muundo, it would be fine later, after all, they were all going to see that wonderful place he spoke of. Surely being there and seeing everyone having fun would cheer him up. He smiled a bit at that thought, and he was glad Seleter was joining them too. Phyllon didn't know her very well yet from the short time he has been in this pride, but he thought of the cheetah's speed as cool. Maybe he would get to know her better and become friends with her during the trip. He was starting to love how friendly his new pride was. Surely he could trust them with his life, and he could grow up happily among...
"Nguvu...! What's... what's wrong? What's the matter?" Fadhila said suddenly.
"Huh?" Phyllon came back to his senses and looked at Nguvu, he wasn't paying attention to what was happening with him until Fadhila called him. The scene that followed made the thoughts about trust and friendship fade away from the cub's mind, and he cowered behind Fadhila's paw. Never mind about Muundo, what's wrong with Nguvu!? He was suddenly acting so strange, and the look he gave to Destiny... he recalled the longing look he had given her earlier, and wondered what made it change like that. What did Muundo say that made him lose his mind? Was there some connection between Muundo's past and Nguvu's?
Whatever the case was, Seleter offered to chase after Nguvu. Phyllon thought that would be the right thing to do. But he was afraid Nguvu would hurt her, or worse. He was trembling, a tear shed down through his cheek. How could he trust anyone in his new pride now?

Destiny Turned her attention to Nguvu, who had suddenly started to break down into uncontrollable sobbing, it was so sudden and fast that she didn't really know how to approach or communicate with him. After taking a couple of minutes and taking a deep breath she started to slowly walk towards him but he suddenly rushed and slammed into her, her protective instincts kicked in for a split second and she bared her claws and let out a fierce growl. She soon snapped out of her protective ways and lept back onto all 4 legs and stared at Nguvu, not impressed at his actions. She soon focused properly and looked into the oblivious red eyes, ones that she has never seen before, her legs weakened and trembled...she didn't know Nguvu could be in such a state. "OUT OF MY WAY!" he shouted and harshly shouldered her Destiny lost her footing and fell to the ground "Nguvu,...." she coughed, She then watched as he darted off.
Destiny gained her footing and looked around at everyone, forcing a smile and gathering her thoughts together to think up the best thing to do. "Dont worry," she cleared her throat "Something isn't right with him, sounds like he remembered or re-called something of past that's has frightened or upset him, Properly best if we all don't rush after him, could make things worse". Destiny turned to Seleter "Thanks for the offer, but im not entirely sure what we are dealing with here, a running cheetah may make him feel even more uneasy, please don't take offence" she genuinely smiled
"He wanted to talk to me privately this morning, im not sure if that has anything to do with it, its the safest thing to go by at the moment" Destiny paused "I'll slowly catch up to him and see if he wants to talk, I wont be long. Everyone finish up eating and get ready to go to this great place Muundo knows about, im sure when all of us, including Nguvu get there things will be a bit more relaxing." With that destiny slowly padded off with her nose as her guide and started to track Nguvu's movements, she wanted to sound more re-assuring but her concern and curiously was getting too much and she wanted...needed to find him as fast but as cautious as possible.
After a short while of tracking, she started to slow down until it was only one step every few seconds. The further she walked - the stronger the scent - the closer she would become in finding him and she didn't want to startle him. She made low, soft, grunting noises to let her presence be known. Was now just a matter of waiting and hoping he would show up. If he didn't then she would have to make the tough decision of returning back to the group and hoping he would calm down and catch up himself. After all this was a pride and you need strength in numbers.

"That's terrible." Muundo replied to Tamu's answer. It seemed that their parents had met the same fate. His were killed by an unknown lion and Tamu's and Mchanga's were killed by, in his opinion, a paranoid alpha lion. He looked at the ground sadly trying to think of something to brighten up the mood. He wasn't always good at encouraging others, but he didn't want see her cry so he tried to think of something, something meaningful. Then it hit him. He walked front in Tamu grinning at her trying to make her feel better. "There's nothing we can do to bring them back," he started,"but that doesn't mean we have to. Our parents, our family, our ancestors are always with us from our birth, to our death and the reason why is because, they're in here," he says pointing at Tamu's heart,"they're in our hearts always. Our friends are also in our hearts as well. I'm in your heart, Mchanga's in your in your heart, we're all in your heart. So no matter where you go we will always be with you even in death. Because we are one." Muundo said cheerfully. "That means your stuck with us forever." Muundo said playfully. Mchanga showed up just after Muundo finished talking asking the two what was the matter, but before Muundo could answer, he heard and saw Nguvu yelling at Destiny before shouldering her to the ground and running off away from the pride. He didn't know why he was acting like this but what was more important was making sure they stop him and calm him down. "You guys wanna help me stop him," Muundo asked the two siblings," I won't be able to take him down and hold him down while he's like this." He waits for a response.

Tamu smiled at Muundo's words and couldn't stop the giggle that passed her lips when he pointed out she was stuck with them. The smile soon turned to a frown when Mchanga showed up, always so protective. She look up when Muundo asked if Mchanga and her wanted to go and stop Nguvu with them. "Sure. Let's go." Tamu agreed turning to her brother, "Are you coming too?"
Mchanga saw the smile on his sister's face fade when he approached the duo, and he smirked knowingly, he turned away when Muundo asked if he wanted to search for Nguvu. "Erm, no thanks. I'll stay here and see if he comes back. You two go and be careful." He said, a slightly warning tone in his voice as he looked at Tamu.

"Don't worry Mchanga. We'll be alright." Muundo replied, "Let's go Tamu." He headed off towards the direction where they last saw him walking slowly along the way keeping track of his scent. They wanted to make a calm approach on him because if he was in one of his rages, they wanted to make themselves to seem as harmless as possible. It was vital that they brought Nguvu back because if they didn't not only will they have lost a pride member, they'll have lost one of their friends as well. He eventually stopped in his tracks when he thought they were getting closer. He looked around for any signs of Nguvu and even shouted his name once or twice but nothing. "Either he's hiding or he's too far away." Muundo said a sound of concern in voice. But then he heard something. It sounded like grunting but it was low and soft not that loud. "Hey Tamu," he started to ask, "did you hear something?" he continued to look around wondering where the noise was coming from. Judging by how clearly he could hear it was very close whatever it was and whether it was hostile or not, it wanted someone to know of its presence. He started walking towards the location of the sound crouching low beneath the grass and moving ever so slowly. Then when he was close enough to it, he counted down to himself. "3...2...1" then he pounced on top of the creature making the noise. He got up to see who it was but to his surprise it wasn't a creature or Nguvu as he suspected but instead, it turned out to be Destiny. "Sorry Destiny! I didn't know it was you!" Muundo said hastily. He came to the conclusion that she must have been after Nguvu as well. "I take it your after Nguvu as well?" he asked, still embarrassed by the fact that he pounced on her and not something else.

Destiny stood there for a good while, waiting for any presence for Nguvu, which didn't seem to come. She soon needed to make her way back to the group as she didnt want the group to be split further. She was terribly concerned for Nguvu but the safety of the whole group outweight the concern for one, she only hoped that Nguvu would come back to his senses and return. She lay down on the grass and rubbed her body around in it to leave a strong scent to let Nguvu know she was around.
Suddenly to a great shock she got pinned by Muundo, she quickly released her from his grip and stood up. She glared at him "Muundo, i told everyone it would be safer to stay exactly where you were, or wasn't you listening ?" she said angrily "I may as well be speaking to mysel...." Destiny paused in her words and looked at muundo then looked down to the ground and sighed before looking back up at him, she realised he was only just as worried as she was. "Im sorry.....lets just get back to the group, there is nothing left for us here to look for, we will just have to hope Nguvu catches up, we cant have 3 individuals wondering about." she smiled at him and Tamu
"Lets get going"

Seleter fidgeted nervously as she watched Destiny disappear after Nguvu. She didn't like the turn today's events had taken, and she had no idea what to do either. She was, after all, acting against her very nature by staying with these lions, and she found herself wondering, not for the first, what type of behaviour within a pride was considered normal. She was pretty sure Nguvu's behaviour was not, normal that is, but with no instincts or experience to tell her otherwise, she was at loss on how to deal with her current confusion over the events.
Shaking her head, the cheetah turned to ask Fadhila what she thought, only to find her gone too. She blinked her eyes in surprise, taking a quick glance around and catching no sight of the lioness. It seemed that in her confusion Seleter had completely missed the lioness' departure.
She did, however, notice that Phyllon was still there, but even she knew that trying to seek answers to her problems from the cub would be silly. And so, she summoned a small smile, not knowing if she should say anything but still trying to make the young lion feel at ease with her now that Fadhila had disappeared.

Tamu nodded before slipping past Destiny and leading the way back to the clearing, when she stepped out into the light she looked around and saw that only Seleter, Phyllon and her own brother remained, Tamu tilted her head and padded over to the trio, "Where has Fadhila gone?" She asked in surprise, surely both hadn't run off, maybe Phyllon was just hiding, playing with them or something. Shrugging her shoulders she'd turn to Seleter awaiting a reply.
