The sun starts to peak over the horizon, creating a show of shadows and rich colours of red and orange. A layer of light passes over Destiny's eyes which makes her stirr in her sleep. She opens her eyes slowly and lets them adjust to the morning sun, she lets out a slow warming smile. "I can never get bored of a sunrise in clear skies" she thought to herself. Stretching out both her front and rear legs while lying on her side she lets out a yawn then followed by licking her white fur clean on her front legs as they got covered in some dirt. The ground felt damp and she could smell moisture in the air, there must of been some slight rainfall overnight. She lay there for a while longer gazing at the sun ever getting stronger and slowly showing more of itself. Letting out a single satisfying chuckle as she had another lovely sleep and in the company of a pride which she was so happy to be a part of, even though not family related they were all like family. She wouldn't want to change them for the world.
She slowly sat up and looked around, everyone had found their own spot for last night, not too close but never an ear flick away if there were any intruders. She quietly started to take a walk from the small tree she was under, over to a small rocky formation, during her walk she closed her eyes a few times and took in deep breathes through her nose. She shook her pelt few times to get any loose dirt off as she liked to keep it nice and clean. She reached the small rocky formation which was great at holding small amounts of water. She lapped her tongue a few times at the freshly fell water, nothing can be as refreshing. There wasn't much and there were a few to share with so she stopped and sat down by it and gazed over the morning scenery and also to ward off any other animals that may like to drink from here. Her friends come first.

Mchanga woke from his sleep, he'd had another nightmare, this one had been more terrifying than usual. In it he'd not only witnessed the destruction of her parents, this time Tamu had been a victim amongst them. It was bad enough knowing he'd never see his parents again but not seeing Tamu? She was his only family, he'd rather die himself before letting any harm come to his sibling. He sighed heavily and shook out his soft brown mane before stretching out, allowing a yawn to pass his lips. He scanned the area and saw that there was no Destiny, he assumed she must have wandered off again. As he looked around more he froze as he noticed he couldn't see the familiar sleeping form of Tamu, "Tamu?" He said in a low shout, hoping not to wake any others. "Tamu, where are you?" He continued, padding amongst the sleeping forms. "Tamu!" He said, slight panic in his voice. He turned and padded away from the sleeping pride towards the near trees, hoping to find her. "Tamu!" He cried, a little louder now he was away from the other pride members. "I'm here Mchanga." Came Tamu's familiar voice.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tamu had woken rather early this morning, something didn't seem right to her, once she'd woken she found that she couldn't settle again so grudgingly the lioness pushed herself to her feet before padding off somewhere where she could think, away from the others. As she walked along she relished in the sun that warmed her fur. Yawning widely, Tamu eventually looked up and found herself past the trees and loooking out over the morning sun. She sat comfortably on her haunches and peered out across the land. The grass quivered as another cool breeze passed through her. As she looked into a small puddle at her feet she saw her eyes were a pale grey today and she sighed, closing her eyes and trying to shake away the thoughts.
Tamu heard a twig crack nearby and she jumped up, a low growl rumbling in her chest. "Tamu?" A familiar, yet panicked voice asked and Tamu relaxed, noticing her brothers voice. "I'm here Mchanga." Tamu replied as she started walking in the general direction towards him. "Tamu!" Mchanga sighed in relief, "I was so worried, why did you go off alone?" "I couldn't sleep." Tamu replied with a dismissive shrug. "Same here." Mchanga sighed, the lioness watched as her brother raised his head to the sky before turning to her again. "Let's get back to the pride." He mumbled and Tamu nodded before leading her brother back to the other lions.

As the sun rose turning the sky from a starry dark blue to a beautiful red, orange, and yellow Muundo had just come back to where his pride, his friends were residing. The night before while everyone was asleep, he crept away from everyone seeking for adventure for he planned to do it tomorrow, but was too eager to sleep and wait for sunrise. He did have a nice night though... almost.
As he was star gazing there was a light drizzle that started to fall before becoming a bit heavier and eventually it was lightly raining now."Oh, come on!" he yelled. Even though he hated the rain, he did like some of the aftermath that was followed by it. The dew on the grass and trees, followed by the dense humidity. Oh, how he enjoyed life not willing to waste a second of it. He yawned but tried to keep his mouth as closed as possible. Lucky for him he found some some zebra on his way back and managed to kill two of them before the rest got away. He was intent on sharing his kill with the others.
"Wait till they see what I got them," he said proudly, his slightly deep voice mumbled by the zebra he was carrying,"I hope they like it." He eventually made it to the prides location where he made sure he put the zebras somewhere where everyone could see them. He yawned again and then he slowly laid down onto the soft, moist, ground tired and exhausted from his little journey. He looked around wondering where Destiny, Mchanga, and Tamu were before drifting of to sleep and getting lost in his dreams of exploring the whole world. So much to see yet so little time.

(OOC: I'm just going to post a reply just to get it moving again haha)
When the two siblings approached the still sleeping Pride, Tamu's ears perked up as she caught the scent of fresh meat. Her gaze fell on the carcass which can't have been there for long because the blood still smelled fresh. She hurried towards it but was stopped by Mchanga. "Let's wait for the rest of the Pride to wake first. Let's go get a drink for now." He said, leading his sister towards their drinking spot.

The tan male closed his bright golden eyes as a zephyr tickled his two-toned mane. The sunrise was one of the most beautiful things to wake up to in the mornings, so, as a habit, the docile lion always made a point to wake before it arrived. The fresh smell of wet dew and sunshine calmed him; it made him feel alive and happy to be alive every day. It was his private place. It was much later until he heard activity stir in the new pride; the place he now called home. Soft pawsteps made their way from the den--the white lioness Destiny made her way to their little watering hole, probably just waking up. Nguvu smiled softly, watching her pass before joining her. She was one of their large 'family', and someone Nguvu had grown to cherish the company of, along with the others. Quietly, he joined her side, dipping his head for a quick drink before greeting her.
"Good morning, Destiny," he said in his gentle voice, smiling. His two-toned, half-grown mane flopped in front of his face a bit, eyes dropping shyly. It was a known fact that the teen was a bit shy and reserved, kind to a fault. His familial history was something completely opposite, however, and though he'd confessed that his mother had been an assassin, his father a womanizer/serial killer, this pride had welcomed him with warmth and promises of redemption away from that awful past. Nguvu was anything but a killer, though he sometimes fell into the anger and gave in to violent urges that caused him much regret later. Now, though, he was his normally calm, thoughtful self, just watching his pridemate with a soft upcurve of his muzzle.
Fadhila sniffed the air eagerly--the white lioness wasn't planning on getting up from her comfy spot in their pride's den, but the smell of a fresh kill caught her nose and she simply couldn't resist a hearty breakfast! She perked up and stood, stretching quickly to work the kinks from her muscles and trotting to the source of the scent. There, she saw Muundo, proudly standing over his kill. The golden lion's grayish half-mane flopped behind his ears, giving him a rakish look. The white lioness had always harbored a small crush of sorts on the strong, brave lion, but didn't do anything more than flirt in a non-serious manner with him. But, then again, it could have just been that she was only physically attracted to the strong, muscular young teen.
Fadhila smiled at the golden lion, jade eyes alight with excitement and hunger.
"Mmm, that smells great! Muundo, you got this all by yourself?" she stuck her tongue out playfully. "Such a strong lion! You'll have to beat away the females if you keep it up, darlin'," she said coquettishly, fluttering her eyelashes. She turned when the twins, Mchanga and Tamu arrived, similarly attracted by the meat's amazing smell.
"G'mornin', you two," she said cheerfully, stifling a yawn.

Fadhila: "Mmm, that smells great! Muundo you got this all by yourself? Such a strong lion! You'll have to beat away the females if you keep it up, darlin'."
"Well you know me and my adventures. That's how I got these, but I must say that it's harder than it looks." he says to Fadhila. He turns to his right and sees Mchanga and Tamu.
Fadhila: "G'mornin' you two."
"Hey guys," Muundo said joyfully,"I was just about to go for a walk from here to my... secret place, and back. I wanted to show it to you guys, it's amazing!" He immediately thought about the place he had visited... huge waterfalls, tropical trees, beautiful scenery everywhere you looked, and the sunsets there were amazing. Since it was his secret place he wasn't planning on telling anyone, but he thought this was something everyone should see. "If you want to go we'll leave after everyone who's going eats and gets something to drink. After that we'll be on our way, non-stop! And no bathroom breaks please, but if it's an emergency then the rest of us will kindly wait. It's a bit of a distance from here, but if we start early we'll get there by midday. So what do you think?" He waits patiently for an answer.

"Morning Fadhila!" Tamu grinned brightly, stepping closer to the two. "Good morning Muundo." She continued, the smile still on her face.
"Morning you two." Mchanga replied warmly to his surrogate family; flicking his tail.
The pair listened to Muundo's suggestion of his secret place before exchanging a look together. "I quite like the sound of it." Tamu said to Mchanga who nodded his agreement, he then turned back to Fadhila and Muuno, tilting his head a little. "Well, we're in." Mchanga answered, speaking for the two of them.
"Sounds like fun. How far is it though?" Tamu asked, settling on her haunches. "And does Destiny know about it?" She continued, starting to lick her paws whilst she waited for an answer.

As soon as the warmth of the morning Sun reached Phyllon's pelt, he began his ritual of waking up, slowly stretching his limbs and yawning widely. He noticed the damp soil beneath his paws from the rain the past night had brought, which made a smile draw on his muzzle as he opened his eyes. He just loved rain, a preference he differed from other lions, especially Muundo, although he could not explain it. Moisture on his fur always made him feel happy and complete. Like a bolt through his nose, the smell of fresh zebra reached him. He licked his lips and approached the rest of his new pride. He had overheard Muundo's invitation to his secret place, which made him feel very excited. He had heard so many good things about it, and he would finally get to see it all, especially the waterfalls, he could really use going for a swim.
"Good morning guys!" He greeted very energetically, and then he addressed Muundo. "Wow! So you'll let us come to your secret spot? Cool! I've been dying to check it out!" He said grinning widely. But then he looked at the newly killed zebra and his stare went down, lowering his excitement and showing his shy side more now. "Also... nice job with the kill, Muundo, you're so great..."
Phyllon was the youngest lion in the bunch, a cub with not many weeks to go until he reached adolescence, and from his experience in his previous pride he still had the feeling that he needed to ask for permission for the right to his share on the pride's new kill, a lesson of respect he had learned from his father before he died, and an habit that he stuck with, although he knew he didn't need to do it anymore with his new friends, who had accepted him as he was when he had first arrived, but he valued respect for his elders, even if they were just adolescents.
"Um... can I have a bite? I... I'm very hungry," he said with his begging green eyes.

Destiny returned the smile "Good Morning Nguvu, a brilliant one at that" she sighed happily Destiny couldn't help but let out a little chuckle when his mane flapped over his head "Getting longer isn't it Nguvu, ha!" she teased, Nothing like a little bit of playful chat to try and make him feel less shy, that was what she was thinking. Destiny raised her paw and started fluffing up his mane "Oh the joys of male lions aye" she chuckled Destiny cleared her throat and quickly glanced around back at the group "Looks like everyone is awake now, and looks like breakfast is served too" she said as she subtly licked her lips

Tamu: "Sounds like fun. How far is it though? And does Destiny know about it?
"Well," he started,"it's a good 3 maybe 4 miles from here. It might take a while, but it's all worth it in the end. And now that you mention it,"he starts to look around the area,"I haven't seen Destiny yet and it looks like Nguvu isn't here either."
Phyllon: "Good morning guys!"
Muundo looks to his left and sees Phyllon, the youngest of the eight. "Good morning Phyllon!" he says happily.
Phyllon: "Wow! So you'll let us come to your secret spot? Cool! I've been dying to check it out!"
Muundo smiles at him broadly. "Now that's the kind of attitude I like to see on adventures!" he says. But he noticed how after seeing his kill he was less excited, his stare went down, and he started acting shy. He commented on his kill shyly before asking if he could have a bite. "Why, of course you can. I'm sharing it with everyone. Just don't eat too much. So, guys if you need me I'll go look for Destiny and Nguvu. They probably went to the water hole." He walks off towards the direction of their small water hole."I'll tell you guys our plan on how to get there when I get back!" he shouts to the group of 4. As he got closer to the water hole he hid himself behind a brush as he heard voices that were distinctively Nguvu and Destiny. He continued to walk slowly, his steps softened by the damp ground. "I knew they'd be here." He walks into clear daylight were they could see him. "Hey guys! How're you doing?" he says.

"Morning kiddo." Mchanga greeted Phyllon with a smile. "How are you?" Mchanga watched as Muundo disappeared before turning to Fadhila, "How are you this morning too?" He asked, giving her one of his trademark half smiles.
Tamu beamed at Phyllon and pawed at him playfully in greeting. "Hiii!" She gushed giggling.

“Why, of course you can. I'm sharing it with everyone. Just don't eat too much. So, guys if you need me I'll go look for Destiny and Nguvu. They probably went to the water hole." Muundo said. Phyllon looked back up at him and his muzzle recovered the grin it had before.
“Wow, thanks! I’ll leave enough for everyone, I promise!” He said with a renewed enthusiasm. “I’ll see you later.”
“Morning, kiddo. How are you?” Mchanga greeted him, followed by Tamu’s paw over him as she gushed and giggled. “Hiii!”
“Haha no, stop it!” He said laughing, freeing himself from her paw. He then replied Mchanga. “I’m hungry like a warthog. Really, I could eat the whole thing, but I’ll leave you guys the best parts.” He added, not losing his big grin.
When he had first been found by this pride of adolescent lions, he didn’t know how different they could be from the kind of lions he was used to on his previous pride. He was always the last from his siblings on everything, from being the last to eat from the carcass to being the last to receive attention… and love. Phyllon still displayed some of the behaviour he had in those times, even after getting lost and being found by this new pride. But as he grew fond of his new friends, he felt more accepted and cared for. He still wasn’t entirely used to it, but he learned that he could count on them for anything, and he could not be more grateful for that… He was happy.
After finishing his sentence, Phyllon turned to the zebra’s carcass and began feasting on it with voracious bites, like the little beast he was.

"Well you know me and my adventures. That's how I got these, but I must say that it's harder than it looks,” Muundo said to the white lioness. Fadhila grinned broadly, impressed by his work. The twins greeted her in kind and she turned her smile upon them, scrunching her face with the wide smile she wore.
“You guys look well rested. Our den is lovely, hm?” she commented. Their home really was amazing; their little family couldn’t be happier. Her ear flicked as Muundo began speaking again, this time speaking of a secret place of sorts. Her heart warmed at the fact that he would want to share it with them; it seemed Muundo was truly feeling a sense of attachment to his little ‘family’, their small pride of teens. Phyllon soon joined them, as well; the friendly but somewhat shy male adolescent seemed eager to join in on the adventure, having overheard Muundo talking about his little hiding spot. The dark lion’s fur was matted a bit with twigs and leaves, as usual; Fadhila often liked to tease the teen about it but would then proceed to try and get it all out of his mane due to her picky perfectionism and nit-picky hygiene.
She nodded as the twins and Phyllon agreed to going with the golden lion to find his secret place, curious as to why he seemed so excited to share it. “Of course I’ll go! It seems like a wonderful idea, Muundo. I’m so glad you want to share it with us all,” she added warmly, smiling up at the grey-maned adolescent.
Phyllon was eyeing the fresh meat, however, and seemed to be hesitant about something until he spoke up. "Um... can I have a bite? I... I'm very hungry," he asked shyly. Fadhila laughed at his behavior and ruffled his mussed mane. “Duh, of course you can,” she answered after Muundo insisted that he could as well. She stepped forward and dug in as well, wrapping her jaws around a juicy haunch. She nodded as Muundo left to find Destiny and Nguvu—those two were as thick as thieves sometimes.
Nguvu couldn’t stop the warm smile that spread over his face as Destiny sighed wistfully about the brilliance of the morning. He couldn’t agree more; mornings were his favorite. To watch the sun rise slowly with the beautiful white lioness was more of a pleasure than he cared to admit to her. His golden eyes widened as she reached forward and messed with his mane, commenting on how long it was getting; his nose and ears turned a darker shade of pink as she touched him and laughed.
“I, um,” he stammered, ears flattening shyly. He couldn’t stop grinning as he looked down at the ground. “Yeah, i-it is,” he admitted. He was ever so grateful when she changed the subject to the rest of their group. It seemed they’d caught breakfast, and now that he thought about it, he was somewhat hungry…
“Oh, um, d-did you want to go…” he started quietly, but was interrupted when one of their strong pride members popped in. Muundo appeared, friendly as usual. Nguvu couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed that his small moment alone with Destiny was interrupted, but he liked Muundo so he let it pass without remark. Nguvu’s ears flattened further against his head in shyness.
“Hi, Muundo,” he greeted softly. “Just… watching the sunrise,” the pale teen said, stealing glances at Destiny once in a while.

"“Oh, um, d-did you want to go…” Destiny glanced back at Nguvu to take hear what he was going to say but then was interrupted by a friendly "hello" by Muundo. Destiny was curious in what Nguvu was going to ask but she didn't want to torment him by asking what he was going to say - infront of Muundo, as he still looked shy. "“Hi, Muundo,” Nguvu greeted softly. “Just… watching the sunrise,” She smiled warmly at Nguvu and turned her attention to Muundo "Here is the breakfast catcher" she said cheerfully "We were just getting our morning drink and legs stretched, there is a nice bit of fresh water over there if you want some" she said while motioning with her head. The slight morning breeze started to carry all sorts of scents in the air, one of them being the smell of the fresh meat that Muundo had caught "I'm sorry but that smell is just so tempting, I'm off to get my share before it all goes" she shortly chuckled As she started to take her first few steps towards the rest of the group she looked back at the two "You coming Nguvu?, and Muundo thanks again for the kill" she smiled warmly.

Tamu was nibbling on the meat beside her twin, once she'd had her fill she retreated away a small distance, before lying down with her head on her paws.
Mchanga, oblivious to Tamu suddenly walking off, continued eating contently, his mind spinning as he though of various different things.

Phyllon had just finished eating half of the zebra’s liver and decided that he was satisfied, passing on the other half to Mchanga with a timid smile.
“Here… I told you I’d leave you the best,” he told him. “…Oh, they’re back!” He exclaimed looking past Mchanga to see Muundo coming back with Destiny and Nguvu. He sprinted off to greet them, excited about Muundo guiding them to that wonderful place he spoke of. “I’m ready to go when everyone is,” he said as he reached him, smiling widely. “I can’t wait to be there and take a dip in those waters.”
After talking with Muundo, he moved his look towards Nguvu. The young lion was walking behind Destiny with his golden eyes looking at her from time to time as if longing for something. Phyllon wondered what was going on with him… maybe he would ask him later.

Nguvu greeted him softly before he was greeted by Destiny who told him why they were there before mentioning the small pool of water that was there. They ended up leaving to go eat as the smell of his kill started wafting through the air being carried by the small gentle breeze that passed by. She thanked him warmly before leaving with Nguvu. He walked over to the water and looked at it with great pity. Ever since what happened to his parents due to water, he's never liked it. But regardless of the fact, he still bent his head down and drunk the water but not too much only enough to keep himself hydrated. After all, he needed to save some for the others. After he got his fill of water, he went back to rest of the pride, catching up with Destiny and Nguvu before reaching everyone. Everyone had started to eat by the time they got back and the first to approach the trio was Phyllon, his fur covered with twigs and leaves as usual.
Phyllon:"I'm ready to go when everyone is. I can't wait to take a dip in those waters."
"Good. Now, we just need to wait for everyone else." he replied. In his mind he shuddered a bit thinking about the waterfalls. He was surprised that he didn't realize that he mentioned them. He then remembered that he hadn't told Destiny and Nguvu about the little trip they were taking. "That reminds me," he says as he turns towards Destiny and Nguvu grinning broadly,"I haven't told you guys about my secret place." He tells them the same thing he told everyone else including the waterfalls though he mentioned them hesitantly. "If you guys want to go, get something to eat and those who are done will wait for everyone else who isn't." He looked out towards the horizon with the sun shining brighter and growing bigger. It was an amazing sight to watch the sun set and then watch it rise the very next day. It always reminded him how precious life was and that it was a gift given to him and that he could only have it once, so he was going to see as much as could of the world before it was time for him to go. He walked a little bit away from everyone before sitting on his haunches and continued to stare at the sunrise thinking about what he would do later on in life. As he looked around, he noticed Tamu who was laying down just little bit of a distance away from her twin brother. He got up and plainly walked over to her not saying anything as he was still in deep thought. He simply wanted to ask her a simple question. "Hi Tamu," he said warmly when he reached her,"I have a question for you." He waited just little bit before asking her his question. "Do you think," he started, a hint of curiosity in his voice, "there are other worlds out there? Far beyond the reaches of space and time. Worlds so far that they cannot be seen with naked eye. Worlds that are so far, that they are simply out of our reach. If there are," he continued, " I wonder what life they hold." He noticed he was staring at the sky as though he was mesmerized by it before coming back to his senses. "Sorry about that," he apologized, "just rambling about worlds again."

Tamu smiled at Muundo, 'You aren't rambling.' She reassured him. She paused thinking about his question, 'I think there will be.' She said after a while, 'Theres many worlds here though, every creature in existence has their own world. I think they may be more worlds out there.' She replied wisely before looking up at the sunrise with Muundo, 'Its beautiful isn't it?' She observed, smiling contently.
She pushed herself into a sitting position before turning to the others then back to Muundo, 'I like how you're willing to share this place.' She said, 'Very sweet of you, I noticed though why did you hesitate when speaking of the waterfalls there?' She asked curiously, despite being quite childlike she did tend to notice things others may overlook, especially when she cared about them.

The tan lion was lost in Destiny's soft voice--it lulled him into a daydream in which he'd stopped really paying attention to anything but the melody of her words. Then those beautiful sparkling eyes turned his way and addressed him, making his golden eyes widen with recognition and embarassment. Her kind smile that played at her muzzle only made his heart beat erratically and his head pound with the rushing noise of the blood that surged forth to make his face grow hot with color.
"Oh, um, I..." she began to walk away and he followed a bit behind, ears flattened slightly. A rosy blush spread its way rather obviously into his features, showing at his nose and ears. His long fringe hid half of his face, however, his eyes downcast as he followed nervously behind the white lioness.
They approached the others, who were already digging into the carcass Muundo had hunted down. Nguvu felt something between jealously and admiration at his skill; it wasn't just any lion who could drag down an animal like that without injury... He sat down quietly nearby, ears folded back submissively as he patiently waited for his turn to eat. There was no way he'd allow himself to partake in such a meal without allowing Destiny to eat first.
"Hey, guys! Destiny, Nguvu," the other white lioness, Fadhila, greeted. Her fur was pale, but not quite as perfectly pristine as Destiny's. She was pretty, but loud and cheery--she made a better friend to the quiet Nguvu than anything else. Not to say that she couldn't get along just fine with quiet lions... her eyes glanced at Phyllon and a small smile quirked the side of her muzzle. Oh, to be a flirty lioness... she had multiple crushes on members of their pride, none of which were serious. It was a form of entertainment to fluster them when she could, though.
Fadhila stopped eating once she was full enough, allowing the others to eat as well. She began to wash her muzzle and clean the blood off as Muundo recalled his secret place almost wistfully. Glancing up, she caught a faraway look in his eyes. He was in a dreamlike state as he described beautiful waterfalls and lush scenery, then moving on to question whether there were more worlds out there. The white lioness stopped preening for a moment, confused. Other worlds? What did that mean? Other places like this one, maybe? She couldn't quite comprehend what he was rambling about, but it did get her thinking.
In the meantime, Nguvu was also listening. The dreamer caught on faster to the hopeful ramblings of the strong hunter, wondering now if they would discover new far-off places together. Once more his eyes were drawn to Destiny, her attention focused on Muundo as he talked.
'So long as she is with me, I'll go anywhere...' he thought to himself, a tiny, almost invisible smile pulling his whiskers upwards.

Destiny was met by Muundo who mentioned about a place of interest, in which she nodded and agreed "Sounds like a good idea to me" Muundo then walked off but then Destiny was greeted by Fadhila "Hey Fadhila, and good morning, a very good one at that" she said cheerfully Destiny took no time in munching down on breakfast. She ripped off a quite large portion, but making sure there was enough left for Nguvu and starting chewing away at the fresh meat. She didnt like to eat too bigger portions in the mornings as it makes her feel sluggish.
After her fill she closed her eyes, lay down on her side, stretched out and sighed happily. "This is what mornings are about...the views are so nice" she said dreamily As She slowly opened her eyes to her surprise she was looking right at Nguvu who was near her. Feeling slightly awkward she let out a little chuckle and smiled warmly at him, then turned her eyes to the ground and started randomly clawing the dirt. For a very sudden moment, she felt a little shy in-front of him.

Muundo sighed deeply at Tamu's question. He hadn't told any of them of his past before he meet them. At first, he wanted to up make some lame, random excuse, but he thought it was about time he told somebody about his past. He never liked remembering or even thinking about it. All that did was bring back sadness, pain, sorrow, anger, and revenge. He couldn't keep the murder of his parents a secret any longer and he knew he have to tell them sooner or later. "You really want to know?" he said with great grief. Memories of what happened flashed through has mind as though it happened just yesterday. "You see," he started slowly,"when I was little before I meet you guys, my parents were murdered buy another lion. If your wondering what this has to do with water, it just so happens that it was was raining when it happened. So, I hate water because it reminds me of my parents' death." His eyes started brimming with tears as he remembered seeing his mother and father lying dead in their den."There's more," he said briskly,"the reason why I like going on adventures is because I'm trying to find the lion who killed my parents." He suddenly became angry thinking about it. Why? Why did he kill his parents? What did they ever do to him? His parents were the nicest lions he knew besides his friends. He still couldn't accept the fact that they were no longer in his life."Father," he said quietly and sadly up to the the sky,"mother, if your there... will you give me a sign. Anything at all just let me know that your still here. Please." He bent his head down low, staring at the ground as though he was expecting something to come out of it. If only he could see them one more time, would he be happy to know that they were still with him.

"I'm sorry Muundo." Tamu murmured, she stood up and nuzzled into Muundo, trying to rid his eyes of tears. "My parents are dead too." She pulled back and looked up at him with a small smile. "At least you have a surrogate family right here." She draped a paw across his muzzle and smiled, "That lion will get what he deserves eventually." She said, trying her best to sound reassuring.

The brown cub had laid on a rock nearby to get warmed by the Sun while he waited for everyone to get ready for the trip. He looked at the pride with attention while keeping a low profile, and he was beginning to become impatient. In his mind, he was getting them all up and pressuring them to begin the journey towards Muundo’s secret spot, but out in the reality he was just a cub. He knew his new pride would take him as an equal, but still he didn’t feel he was in the position to order anyone to move, so all he could do was wait... and wait...
He suddenly got up and yawned stretching his limbs, then he shook off the dirt and leaves he had stuck in his fur. “Why do I always get this messy? Where do all these twigs come from?” he thought. After making sure he was clean again, he looked at Muundo with Tamu in the distance. Something seemed to upset the golden lion, because now he was crying, and Tamu was comforting him. Phyllon was confused; a moment ago he was enthusiastic about taking them all to see his secret place, but what could have happened that made him change his mood like that? The cub suddenly felt like he was about to cry too; watching Muundo reminded him of his own past sorrows, he wanted to be with him and share his pain, but he decided to shake off those thoughts for now. He walked towards Fadhila, who was also watching Muundo and Tamu talking, and sat next to her.
“What’s wrong with Muundo? I-is he ok?” The cub asked her in a worried tone.

Seleter grumbled slightly as she ran, hating it how her lovely morning sprint under the warm sun had been interrupted by light rain. She hadn't even gotten very far, and here she was already, heading back to her friends.
It was strange, really, to live with a pride of lions. Sure she had known them since she was a cub, but being the only cheetah she felt out of place from time to time. Not that she ever said so to the lions. No, for them she put up a smiling face and cheerful chatter. Inside, however, she sometimes longed solitude, which was one reason for her daily morning sprints across the lands that their small pride called home.
Either way, the golden cheetah pushed these thoughts aside when she spotted the tree under which they had spent their night. Not too far from it she saw flashes of white, knowing them to be Destiny and Fadhila. She slowed down her speed ever so slightly, not wishing to skid to a halt and send dirt flying on her friends.
Panting lightly Seleter stopped next to Destiny, oblivious to the white lioness' current state of mind.
"Morning, guys!" she called with a cheerful expression.

Mchanga raised his head at Seleter's arrival, "Morning Sel." He called, moving from his sister and approaching the rest of the group, "Where've you been?" He asked curiously, he noticed Destiny was with Seleter and seemed to be thinking, he smirked playfully and waved a paw in front of her face, "Wakey wakey Destiny!" He grinned.

Destiny snapped out of her day dreaming and turned her attention to Mchanga's Paw. "Morning Mchanga" she chuckled She playfully caught her paw and let it go then turned to Seleter who was still panting slightly "Morning Seleter, enjoyed your morning sprint i see" she said smiling Destiny took another stretch and at the same time wriggled her back against the ground to get rid of a slight itch, she then rolled over and sprung into sitting position "Best not to lie down, mornings like these will send me off to sleep again" she chuckled Destiny bent down and licked her paws clean from her earlier eating and gave her white pelt another good shake after her back scratching got it dirty again. "So, when does everyone want to set off ? " she questioned

Fadhila smiled down at Phyllon reassuringly, though she felt uncomfortable trying to comfort the young adolescent lion. She could sense the tension in the pride a bit and was trying to keep things cheerful with the dirt-prone cub.
"Ah, well, they'll be all right," she tried, giving the young lion a smile and a quick nuzzle. She was grateful when Seleter showed up, panting a bit from her run. "Oh! How are you this morning, Selly?" Fadhila asked, grateful for the interruption.

"Your parents are dead too?," asked Muundo curiously, "I guess we can't always expect our parents to stay with us forever. But at least we have each other, right? You, me, and everyone else." He turned his head toward the sky staring at the clouds happily. He didn't know why, but he always liked clouds. It gave him something else to look at rather than just the plain blue sky. He also liked lightning for reasons even he can't explain. He waited a little bit before speaking again. "I knew my parents wouldn't stay with me forever. I just never expected it to be while I was young." He thought a little bit then said, "And if I do find that lion that killed my parents, I won't kill him. I just want to ask a few questions.Killing him doesn't mean my parents will come back." He turned his attention back to Tamu and asked, hesitating a little, "How did your parents die?" he said calmly.

Tamu smiled fondly at Muundo before heaving a sigh, 'It's a long story. You see, the alpha of our old pride chased Mchanga away because he was far more powerful than him. Naturally I followed him, you see when we were cubs we made a promise. To always stay together no matter what. So the following night I left to find him. We used to meet mother and father weekly, in secret however one night the alpha followed us chased Mchanga and I away and killed our parents as punishment.' Tamu felt her eyes burn with tears and she turned her gaze away from Muundo with a sigh, her gaze on Mchanga, 'I'm glad we found this place we have made friends for life.' She chuckled weakly as she watched Mchanga with the others.

Mchanga grinned cheekily as Destiny swiped his paw away. 'Now, now. Temper temper.' He teased laughing. He turned to see Tamu with Muundo but noticed that his sister was crying. He snarled and padded away from his friends and stalked over to the pair, instinctively nuzzling his sister in a soothinh manner, 'What's the matter?' He purred asking both Tamu and Muundo.
