Mino was more then ready to prove what he had said; he hadn’t trained all that time with his old friend only for it to be thrown back in his face.

As much as he would have loved to kill the lion, he stood there; retracting his claws he lowered his head and let out an evil laugh. Raising his head he relaxed, and stood up straight again before looking at the lion. “Your arrogance is very amusing… what did you say your name was? Konai?......well Konai” he said walking up along the lions right side before circling and coming around the other side, stopping in front of his face “I couldn’t Rhino’s behind what or who you think you are….” He stared into Konai’s eyes with a freezing cold gaze “I couldn’t care for your lunch, or you, so lets get one thing clear…..” he paused “If you ever… EVER! Come near me or my friends again ill reshape your face…..” he looked at Sheek then back at the lion. His eyebrows furrowed “ I’d gladly do it know but lucky for you I’ve got a lioness to find, and what happens between us is none of your business!”

With that he walked back to Sheek, keeping a watch on the lion out of the corner of his eye.

Amusing? Konai didn't think so. He padded over to the lion who had just accused him. "Look, mate, you got it all wrong. I didn't try to start a fight. I aimed and then it moved and you and the other guy were right in front of me. I wasn't trying to fall on you! Look, I'll help you find this...Jenna is it? If you would like. I didn't try to land on you."

He was forced to swallow his pride in this area. He had a tendancy to guilt.

[This Land]

Sheek still suspisious of the lion walked over to him and went up to his face.
"is that true?"
Sheek stared at the lion face to face, waiting for a truthfull answer.

[Pulsar]

Mino stopped in his tracks; at least the lion had some curtsy however minuscule it might be…. He was offering help, but Mino couldn’t decide if it was worth the risk. Even if he did help. It would be quicker finding Jenna… but could he be trusted? *Well he did apologise for what he had done* he thought to himself. *Huph, I’d say no but, guess everyone deserves a second chance…. And maybe I blow the whole thing out of proportion…*

“None the less…” he said under his breath as he turned to the so called former outlander. Walking up slowly he looked at Konai and raised a brow. “Apology accepted” he said. But he still wasn’t sure if the lion was trustable “You said you were an outlander, outlanders are considered untrustable and the scum of the earth so how do we know we can trust you huh?” he asked curiously, testing the lion to see how he reacted.

Rather simple test… offensive but simple…. If he replied and started to fight then he simply wasn’t trustable, however, if he avoids a fight then he could just be…. Trustable. Now it was up to Konai to decide…

Konai first looked at the lion. "Yes, it's true." He was starting to feel rather unconfertable. He turned to watch as the one lion paced up and down in front of him. Great, he thought to himself. They think I'm insane. He watched as the other lion looked him up and down. He felt himself sinking back into the shadows to hide. Yet, he knew that he had to stay. He had the uncontrollable thirst to prove himself to these males.

He looked to the lion as he asked the question. He had to think about the question for some moments. All through this, he was to endure the lions stares. He looked out to the plains, dark mane blowing slightly in the warm breeze. His emerald eyes pierced the questioning lion's heart as he looked at him. "You...you almost can't trust me. And at the same time, I left my pride, did I not? True, I am an outsider, yet I have shown no purposefull hostility to you or your pride. I have no intention to. You may decide what I am, but I will not be accused of hurting you or your lioness," he said calmly.

He tenced and waited for one of the lions to strike him a hard blow.

[This Land]

Sheek saw the honest in his eyes and his speech.

"i think when we met you we just took things the wrong way, every lion needs their food, so i cant have anything agaist you there"

"so what is your name?"

[konai]

Konai relaxed, but just barely. Looking toward the lion he said softly,"My name is Konai..." He smiled the first real smile they ha sen him put on.

For some reason, he felt happy. Perhaps it was the fact that neither of them was going to chop off his head.

[This Land]

"cool name konai"
"So how long have you been running?" sheek's face turned slightly upset, he just reminded himself of somthing, but his face soon turned happy again and carried on talking.

"so, are you hungry?, we have a mighty hunter if you are not up for it, after we kinda messed it up for you"

[Pulsar]

“Yea… I guess maybe I ginda took it the wrong way…” Mino said walking up and sitting down near Sheek. He stared at the ground for a second feeling rather ashamed of himself for jumping to conclusions so quickly. He just got caught up in the moment, but thats not a great excuse for what he said. “I apologise for what I said earlier Konai, I was being short sighted about the whole thing….” Looking at Sheek, he lowered his head before looking back up at Konai again.

“I’d hate to think that my irrational actions would have ruined any chance of friendship between us…” pausing for a second. He hated being wrong, but he was willing to admit it when he was… which in this case he seemed to be. “So?” he said in a low tone “Any chance you can over look my mistake and give me a chance to start over?” pausing again he thought “Like, seeing as how we ruined your meal, I offer my services, I can go get you some food…” it seemed to be the least he could do…

Kodai smiled at the one lion, then looked back at the first. He seemed rather ashamed of himself, but before Kodai could say anything, he spoke, and expressed his apologies. Then, through his speech, Kodai nodded a few times, then grinned. "I'm sure we'll be friends. And thanks, but I'll catch my own. Rather finniky, if you understand me."

He was. He liked hunting on his own. it gave him an adrenaline rush.

[Jenna]

Jenna, from behind a rock, came prancing out, happy as could be, obviously not knowing what had happened. She looked towards Mino and Sheek and smiled, then her face fell. She cautiously moved behind Sheek and Mino. Her parents had warned her about these lions, and she had taken their words to heart. Thy had told her stories of past fights, that the outsiders were terrible fighters. Sheek could feel her shaking.

She shrank back onto the dirt ground and waited. There seemed to ba a silence...

[Pulsar]

Mino looked behind and seen Jenna hiding behind Sheek. He raised a brow. “It’s alright Jen, he’s got no hostile intentions….. there isn’t any need to stand behind Sheek” he looked back at Konai. “This is Jenna the lioness I mentioned earlier….” Then he looked back at Jen “Well? Aren’t you going to say hi?” He could tell from the way she acted she obviously didn’t get along with his type…. But this was bound to happen eventually…. So getting her used to seeing outlanders and being able to deal with them was something that had to be done…

[Jenna]

Jenna cautiously moved forward to the new lion. Smiling slightly, she walked out. Standing a few feet away from the lion, she nodded to him. She had already been introduced. "Er...hi," she said rather awekwardly. Her eyes were rather dark, and the other two could tell that she still didn't trust, much less like his presence, him. She frowned. "Well, it was nice meeting you. Um...so, I guess we'll see you around." She wanted to get out of the site. She figured the sooner they got out of the out lands, the better. she mostly feared for Mino and Sheek. She may be dark of fur, but they certainly weren't.

Giving a last look at the new lion, she gave the boys a look and started to walk on.

[This Land]

"hey, hold on jen"
Sheek caught up to her
"Whats wrong, i know outlanders can be a bit cunning and bad lions but it would be nice to have another lion, it will make our group stronger" he said to her softley.
"every lion deserves a chance i think, if your still unsure about him, just stand by me or mino if you feel unsafe".
Sheek gave her a friendly nuzzle on the shoulder
"what do you say eh?"

[Jenna]

Jenna frowned for a moment. She wasn't sure. If they took him in, true, they would be stronger. And on the other hand...well, she wouldn't think of it. After looking him squarely in the eye, she replied,"I...I guess so. But we will be watching his back and majing sure that we can fully trust him. I don't want to be the black fly but....oh alright." She finally gave in to the look Sheek gave her. Walking over to the lion, she said in a not very enthusiastic voice,"Hi. I'm Jenna. Do you want to come with us on our no doubt adventurouse...adventure?"

[Pulsar]

Mino began to get impatient at Konai for not answering straight away… it really wasn’t that hard, a yes or a no would be enough, just enough for them to know, they could hardly wait all day for him to reply…. After all they had a mission to accomplish……

“Hey Konai, I’d hate to seem rude but we have an important matter to take care of, so are you coming along with… or not?” It was a rude thing to say but Mino had his reasons…

After the fight with the hyenas, Aramile was completely beatened up, he had finally killed the last one of them, how could he know that it was their gazelle, he began slowly to walk through the grass as he suddenly collapsed on the ground. He was completely exhausted, his legs couldn't keep him up any longer, he had wounds everywhere in his dark fur, his black mane was also all messed up, he clearly needed a bath after he got out of this mess.

If he even did get away safely, there was still hyenas looking for him.
Suddenly Aramile heard some voices not far away from him, he tried to get up. Success!

But, he only walked a few steps as he collapsed again, the pain was terrible. His left leg was broken and his right foreleg had big wounds, he had no other choice but scream for help.

It could be hostile lions or hyenas, but he had nothing to lose. Everytime he got near a Pride of lions, he was quickly pushed away. Maybe it was because he looked like an outlander.

He gasped for air and finally he took the dangerous risk ''Somebody help me!'' he yelled.

Then he realized that it was begin to darken, but the sun was on it's highest! Aramile closed his eyes and fainted, the pain was too much for him.

[Jenna]

Jenna was about to say something when she heard a far off cry. At least it seemed faint. She turned to Mino. "I...I'm going to go walk." She turned around and headed towards where she had heard it. She moved forward steadily, and walked into a small rutt. She saw a small lump at the end and moved steadily forward. She gasped. It was a lion. He was dark, with a black mane. As far as she could tell, he was another outsider. She walked over to him. He was in a faint. She nudged his shoulder to see if he gave any reaction. She didn't see any though.

"Mino," she called out. They needed to see him before making any marks on him. He was wounded and one of his legs seemed rather badly injured. She slowly turned him over. His face was scratched to. lookingout, she wondered where he had been. These marks were fresh...

A young cub came out from inside a hole at the bottom of a nearby tree and slowly made her way over to jenna and her father. She lay down next to her father and looked up at jenna...

[Jenna]

Jenna, while waiting for Mino, hadn't realised the cub coming forth, but she saw and hurridly walked over. Her natural maternal instincts were kicking in. She bent down to the cub. "Oh my...I didn't know...oh dear." She called out once more,"MINO!!! We have a tiny issue!" She looked down at the cub. She gently put a paw on her shoulder. "What's your name sweetie? I'll help your...father I'm guessing? But in the mean time, we'll watch over you."

she looked up and stared in jenna's eyes, ''Safila'' she muttered. Do you know what happened to my dad?''

[This Land]

Even though Sheek's Name wasnt Mino he ran over, it sounded urgent.

He was suprised what he saw, a cute cub and and a injured Adult lion, he knew straight away this was a family relation.

"Hi, whats the matter"
Before jenna could reply
"What the..."
Sheek saw the seriously injured lion and the heartbroken cub, he was shocked what he saw.
"MINO, KONAI. YOU CAN TALK LATER WE NEED URGENT HELP" he shouted.

Sheek approached the Cub and Lion slowly and gently
"How did this happen?"

[Pulsar]

Mino came running to them and stopped, slightly sliding due to the speed he ran at.
“What’s happened?!”
He said quickly with a concerned expression. Then he seen the lion on the ground, he seemed, badly injured. Pausing for a second Mino looked at the cuts, they were bad, the lion needed help.
“We need to help him, or those wounds could go beyond the ability to heal.”
He looked at Sheek.
“Sheek I need you to carry him over there.”
He said pointing at a patch of grass under a tree
“Bring him there and ill, get something to help his wounds…”

With that Mino turned around and began looking for the things he needed, but he stopped and looked back at Safila. Dealing with cubs wasn’t his forte. He looked at Jenna, before making a motion with his eyes towards Safila, and then he turned and walked off to go collect the things he needed to help the lion…

*….. and just when I thought things were bad with Konai….*
He thought as he looked around and began collecting some leaves and such here and there.

[Jenna]

Jenna looked at Sheek, thankful that someone had at last come. She walked around to the other side of the lion. "Well, Safila, I can only assume he was in a dangerous fall or a horrible fight. I'm going to go with the latter." She looked once more at Mino and said,"I really don't know what we're going to do, but until he can get up and walk, we're staying here. I refuse to leave her behind, and anything could happen to him." She waited for Mino and Konai. "Lord, it's just like the two of them to still be at it."

Aramile came to himself, and to his fear, shrieked in pain, god, it wasn't over yet.

He weakly opened his eyes and saw 1 cub, 1 lioness and 2 lions.
''My God'' he thought, it wasn't over yet. He realised that his end was near, he was the next meal for the jackals. ''Please! Help me! Even enemies can show mercy'' he cried out. A tear came to his eyes as the pain was growing, he had no idea what to do. ''I don't want to die!''

[Jenna]

"No, no, we're not going to hurt you, I promise," said Jenna hurridly. "You ned to calm down, you'll hurt yourself even more. We're taking care of your cub." Jenna noticed that he was fairly large, though she was about 3/4 as large as him. Of course, she was a lioness. She lay down by the new lion. "First off, what happened?" She looked at the wounds. Looking back she said,"Your leg...it's broken. We'll need to fix it as soon as posible." She nodded to the cub and in an attempt to keep his mind off of the obvious pain said,"She's cute. Do you belong to a pride? We can go and find them if you do."

He looked back his Safila and gave her a quick kiss, ''Relax honey, they are friendly''.

He then sighed and looked back at Jenna. ''She lost everything, her mother, her two brothers, and her father, though i'm not her real father, i was willing to take the risk of protecting her with my life, she was not to lose anymore. Not while she was with me'' He looked down into the ground and sighed again ''She told me that their pride was attacked by a group of rogue-lions, they tried to defend but their leader was old and weak, they stood no chance. The wounds i got was not from that fight, it was simply because i was trying to get some food for me and her, we found a gazelle carcass. Some hyenas attacked us as we took the first step against the gazelle carcass, i killed most of them, the others fled. I'm not sure if they will come back with more, but that's not relevant right now, what's the point is that she is safe.
I better tell you my own story. *sigh*, it was some time ago. We where part of Pride Erathia, but as well as Safila's pride, we where attacked by rogue-lions, i saw my parents getting killed, but that is a long time ago by now. I'm just glad i met someone new, you see, everytime i'm even trying to get in contact with a pride I am always being turned back and where to leave immediatly, i haven't had it easy'' Aramile explained as a tear rolled down his cheek.

[Jenna]

Jenna sighed. It was a sad story. "If...if you want, you could join us? We don't have anything else in mind. I wouldn't mind, and neither would the guys. We could use another member of our group." She smiled and wiped his tear with her paw. "It'll be okay. We're your friends, we won't leave you behind. Not you, not her. Promise." She looked to where Mino was. Looking back at Aramile, she said,"Are you hungry? I can go and get something. I'm not too shabby of a hunter."

She smiled at the cub. "Are you hungry, sweetie?" She had already taken a liking to the cub, and it was quite obviouse. She smiled and looked from the other lion to the cub.

sheek was so upset to hear this, he felt really sorry for what happened
"dont worry you two, we we help" he reassured
Sheek saw how much jenna already liked the cub, he found her pretty cute too
"ok jenna, you can look after cub, she if you can get her anything to eat"
Sheek crouched down to the young cub's level
"hello there, everythings going to be fine, what is your name?"

It was like Aramile was gaining strength after Jenna came over to him, there was something with her that he couldn't really describe. Aramile breathed silently out and then finally said
''I would love to, and i doubt Sifala also would like, but, are you a sort of new Pride? Is that guy your husband? *Pointing his paw at Sheek*, and about you getting us some food, that would be lovely, but don't do it if it's burden'' he said and smiled at Jenna.

Aramile then turned his head over at his little Safila ''Hey, honey you want something to eat? This nice lady will catch some for us, isn't she sweet?''.
He then looked back at Jenna and whispered ''I am really trying here, i have never tried to be a parent, i'm not THAT old yet''
