Uru And Ahadi

Last night, I was lying in bed and I was thinking of TLK, more speciffically Uru and Ahadi and 'why weren't they in the first film?' Because Sarabi and Sarafina are alive in the second film (I assume they're alive) so why shouldn't Uru and maybe even Ahadi be alive at the begining of the first film? They could have passed the throne down to Mufasa while they were still alive. Then I thought 'well maybe they died in a car accident.' Then I laughed at my stupidity. ;D

I don't actually think that you see Sarabi or Sarafina in the 2nd film, hence they could be dead. At least, I don't recall seeing them. It's been a while since I watched any of the TLK films though, so I could be wrong. xD

Me too. I did always like Sarabi and Sarafina, but I preferred the versions of them we had in our games to the canon versions of them..... Same goes for Nala and Kiara.

Well sarafina is supposbly the lioness that says "My how youve grown" On lionking sp when kiara goes on her first hunt. Glad i could help yall

Supposedly, that is. If I remember right, the lioness doesn't look at all like Sarafina.

Then again, in SP, Nala has blue eyes instead of green. Go figure.

^ Yeeah... I think that lioness has the same voice actress as Sarafina, so that is the reason why she supposedly is her. I'm not really convinced... xP Sarabi's voice actress had sadly passed away by the time SP was in production, so one theory as to why she wasn't in the second film is that they didn't include Sarabi out of respect. I think it has more to do with her not having an important role to play in the story - the part that Sarabi would've played is taken by Nala xP

But, yeah, Uru and Ahadi. I'm against the popular theory that Uru was Mohatu's daughter and that Ahadi was some scruffy rogue (thank you, DJ Coulz..). Mine is more going along with the "tradition going back generations" line - Uru was a princess from a neighbouring kingdom betrothed to prince Ahadi to secure a good alliance between the families. That is what royal betrothals usually are about anyway xD

^ I too am more inclined to believe that both Uru and Ahadi were royalty, though I'm undecided on which one was from that neighbouring pride. And same with Mohatu/Uru, I like to think that there are some generations between Mohatu and Uru/Ahadi's time.

Well they might have included Sarabi if she was important to the story, but she wasn't. I don't think respect is an issue because filmmakers have people taking on the roles of deceased actors in sequels and in remakes. *shrug* I personally like to think of Sarabi and Sarafina as alive because my friend and I would always include them in our RPs.

Speaking of voice acting and Sarabi...

I think I mention this far too often all over the place, but in the Finnish dub of all three TLk films, the voice actress doing Sarabi's voice also voices Zira and Timon's mum. I've always found it rather hilarious that they couldn't find anyone else for those two roles that was as good giving voices to both good and evil characters as her. xDD

Also, I alwasy assumed that Mufasa's parents died before the first movie started. But that's just me.. Mufasa seemed so much older and wiser than Simba even when Simba grew up, I figured he had been king for some time before Simba was born.. unlike Kiara, who was born shortly after Simba became king. Also, something in the way Mufasa says "Simba, let me tell you something that my father told me.. Look at the stars, the great kings of the past look down on us from those stars.. so whenever you feel alone, just remember, that those kings will always be there to guide you.. and so will I." ... Just sounds like he is repeating something told to him by someone who is no longer living. That's just me.

However, from what I read.. wasn't Mufasa only the 4th generation king? He made it sound like there were several "great kings of the past" ... Yeah. Overthinking this now.

They really screwed up sp it was really hard to tell if sarabi or sarafina were in it. They screwed up a lot of things in that film the only good thing is kovu!

I agree but its hard to tell as they screwed up a lot of things with the main characters and all the lionesses were darkly colored. And I have seen a pic on internet with a supposed uru appearance in lionking 1 near the end. I will show it later peeps
