Name: Talha ("Easy life")
Second Name: Mayasa (old family name, very rarely used)
Nickname: None
Species: Lion
Age: Young adult
Gender: Female
Appearance: Her body is muscular but light - built for hunting. Her fur is a rusty red, with lighter markings on her muzzle, belly and toes, and a dark brown tail tuft. The colour of her eyes is gold.
Her other distinguishing marks are the three stripes on her forehead and a long white scar on the front of her shoulders/chest that she acquired after an unfortunate encounter with a warthog. The three stripes reach the back of her head and the scar goes from her right shoulder to her left, where it splits into two.

(Quick doodle to replace the awful old reference sheet xP)
Personality: Talha is a headstrong young lady, not letting anything or anyone get to her once she has her mind set on something. She's very confident in herself and may even seem a little cocky at a first glance. That's not her true self however, since once you get to know her she's quite a nice lioness. Sometimes her confidence gets her into sticky situations, as she tends to overestimate herself and her skills.
Talha is very independent and would have no trouble at all being on her own, but if she has a pride to stay with, she will prefer to stay with them.
History: Talha was raised by both her parents as part of a much bigger pride that ruled over a vast territory. Talha's family, the Mayasas, wasn't much liked by the royal family and they had always sort of kept to themselves whenever they could. The Mayasa family had joined the bigger pride many, many seasons ago and had then promised their loyalty and territory in return for protection from a rivalling pride at the time. They never managed to leave after that. They've chosen to keep their old family name in order to remind their (now very few living) members of "who they truly are". They liked to think that they were still an independent family, but that they were only sharing territory for the moment...
Despite not being much liked by the king, he allows them to carry on with their little "independence" thing and gives them certain privileges in the pride because of their exellent hunting skills; a skill that had been passed down the Mayasa line for generations!
Talha's parents, Noni (Mayasa), lead hunter, and Dumisai, a clever warrior, are no longer with the pride. Noni went missing when Talha was a cub, during a complicated battle in the depths of the jungle and Dumisai waited patiently for her to return. But when she did not do so, he went out to look for her himself. None of them came back, and Talha began to slowly lose hope of ever seeing them again.
Eventually she decided that she, too, would go out and search for them and snuck out one night, secretly hoping not to return...
