Hmm? I didn't mean I should appear out of nowhere and annoy your character, sorry if I gave that impression. I was thinking more along the lines of Sumai using his hostage plan and Feragas capturing me after I introduce myself to Burja. You know, if I went away to think about joining them then came close to the border, then Mwezi for example can either smell Burja on me or saw me leave the cave so she goes off to get reinforcements and they knock me out and capture me. Something like that.

Maybe instead, when you go join Barja pride, we meet during the battle?

And as for how you join the pride, you could say you're looking for your father's killer, and graduallly join the pride.

I don't know... I prefer my idea, and I've already set my profile to say I'd already killed him. I'll leave it to the admin/mod for this thread to decide if it would hold up the plot or add to it.

Yet another option is that I'd been following behind Kituko and got delayed by food or something. Then, I could either join the Feraga because I'm with Kituko, an apparently trusted pride member. (I think.) Sumai is an old and suspicious general, right? So even with Kituko, I doubt he'd let me in. Here are the main reasons He wouldn't let someone who is at best equal to him or at worst more powerful than him join, especially when he wouldn't trust me.
So many more choices when you know someone in the pride.

I really wouldn't want another stranger by the Feraga den until after the battle :/ If you go ahead with either of your ideas to appear by the Feraga now I'll comply, but I won't like it one bit. This battle has been delayed for much, much too long and, as I said, I'm sick and tired of always fighting off intruders :/

Maybe I'm misunderstanding. Is Sumai planning to capture someone before a Big Battle or during a Big Battle?

I thought he wanted to catch someone before the battle, sorry if I misunderstood.

Ah, no, no, the idea is to catch someone during the battle. Sorry if that was unclear, hehe. So if you want to hop in sooner, you can start off at the Burja den.

Once the Arjuna-situation is sorted, I'd like to make a time skip to the Feraga's march to the Burja den and the battle. Would everyone be okay with that?

It's okay by me, just give me some time to acquaint myself with Burja. It shouldn't take too long.

Actually, you can go ahead when I seem halfway acquainted. Then I'd HAVE to side with Burja, especially since I don't think Feraga would be particularly well indisposed towards anyone even talking towards the Burja.

Oh, hang on, I'm forgetting Tittiani's going to join Feraga, you need to give her time to join.

Tittiana can already be a Feraga member, and I think she basically has to. I don't think Sumai is very kind to wanderers right now.

Anyway, I agree Kanu, would be nice to get things rolling properly after Arjuna-situation is over. xD

Or you could do something like most of us did (I'll use A as the example character's name):

A blinked her eyes and yawned widely, taking a look of her surroundings. Her pride mates were half awake, half still asleep, and she certainly was glad she wasn't the last one to wake up. It was a big day for the Feraga pride, and she didn't want to miss out all the action.

A rose to her feet and streched, shaking her fur clear of all the dust that had clung to it while she had been sleeping. She then headed towards the den entrance, hopinh to catch some fresh air and possibly a nice little meal before all the action would begin. A glanced at her pride mates in the Feraga den and chuckled. They really should wake up soon if they wanted to eat some breakfast before the march to the Burja scum.

That's how you could do it. Your character is already a member of the Feraga, knows every Feraga member, and might know or has heard of some of the Burja members (at least the old ones, newly joined Burjas shouldn't be that familiar unless your character is a spy). This means, you can skip all introductions and just jump into the action.

In that case, either no one cares about poor Tocho in Feraga or everyone ignores her I'll start going into Burja now

^ Not really. That's the easiest way to bring in a character to a role play with prides. The prides are huge after all, we're most likely talking about hundreds of lions/other felines here instead of ten or so (no one ever said how big the two prides are, and there's no need to define that either). In a pride that big there's always things that each member can do, but they just haven't been told of to the players/reader before this.

^ And the other players in that pride can simply pretend that the new character has been there all along. It's not difficult C: That's what I like about RPs with prides, one can usually skip the introductions xD

I like both Ideas, and I would volunteer but, kituko is... well... scary.

Well it could be like a beauty and the beast relationship, but I don't know how it would turn out.
