Part 3:Family Matters

A.J watched everything unfold in front of him, not doing anything in case of doing something to make things even worse. His gaze then eventually fell on Nabu and his expression hardened. He walked over to him and the group around him including V and Kadoo, but suddenly, he fainted, uttering some words that were inaudible to him. "Why on earth did he just faint.?" was all A.J could think of saying at that time.

"I don't know" Kadoo said trying to work on him. Kadoo ate another twi.

V walked away from them.
"You shouldn't lie about family." He said to himself.

"I don't know" upepo said "Whats up with you" he said looking at the expression on AJ's face

Awia was breathless, he had done the impossibble run in under six hours, he needed a rest but that wasn't forth coming, what he was looking for came into view

The Manderil s*** from branch to brach talking to the kings of the past, feeling a breeze, he knew something was afoot,
he picked up his stick, walking to the edge of the tree

"Rafiki, it's been too long" Awia said, approaching the tree
"Awia?!" Rafiki said to his old apprentice, a large smile on his face
"Master!" awia answered panting
"Awia, you were never one to pant, where did you come from and how long did it take you to get here?" Rafiki asked, slightly concerned
"I came from the Amani lands, in under 6 hours" he said
Rafiki was impressed, "Thats a three day journey!" he exclaimed "Something must be wrong, what's up?"
"I came to ask you a question master" Awia answered
"Ask away!" Rafiki siad sounding confused
"How much of the water of life would it take to revive a dead lion?" he asked

"Honestly Upepo, you don't want to, or need to know." A.J started shaking with rage. he should just kill Nabu now, bur that wasn't like him...he couldn't. He unsheathed his claws and dug them into the ground as fa r as he could.

[Nakisisa]

"Is it about that injury?" Upepo said looking up at AJ, noticing the scar across his neck.

A.J just sighed. "Your curious, too curious, but fine, I'll tell you. Yes it is something to do with this injury." he said, pointing at his neck. "but let's leave it at that."

[Nakisisa]

"Okay" upepo said slightly happier than he maybe should have "We have to talk to him before you kill him though" upepo joked

A.J smirked. "I'll see if I can keep myself from killing him." he jokingly but also seriously. He wasn't enjoying being near Nabu, even if he had fainted.

[Nakisisa]

"Well be may not be here long, look" he said pointing at Nabu whi was stirring from his mothers work.

Nabu oppened his eyes, and spoke two words "Family Matters"

V now at the Zitakaseni forest.
"Why is this place so...!" V scrached into the bark of a tree, digging and plowing through the wood.

"I hate everything!" He said as tears poured from his eyes. He fell to the ground crying.

"I don't know for shure, but I think he'll be ok." Kadoo said.

"I don't even really know what's wrong." She said eating another twi.

Iya was trying to keep from crying on top of Nabu.

Jicho was openly crying.

[Nakisisa]

"Thank you sister" nabu managed at a croak seeing Iya almost and Jicho crying

"Heh, look at this it's our old freind V." A stranger said.

"Qymaen, Jai, Sheelal haven't seen you in a long time." V said wiping his face.
((Pronounced , caymen, sha, and shelal. Qymaen is a large gold lion, Jai is a smaller brown lion, and Shelal is a red hared lioness))

"We've been looking for you, ever since that little incident." Said Jai in his annoying little voice.

"You've gotten a few more scars, just makes you more... regal." Said Sheelal, checking him out.

"Nabu you should be saving your stringth." Kadoo said.

[Nakisisa]

"I'm... Fine" he said starting to get up "just a little shaken

"Alright if you say so." Kadoo said.

"Umm... yea. Why are you here?" V asked.

"Because... You're still on our 'wish list'" Qymaen said.

"Ah, and if I were to decline?" V said.

"Then well have to 'force' you." Sheelal said.

"Are we talking about the same thing?" V asked.

"Depends, do want to be?" Asked Sheelal.

V raised an eyebrow.
"Clever, but no." V said.

"I say we settle this now, come with us or we'll make you." Jai said.

"I have no intrest in your queen, but I thank you for the lovely sentiment." V said mockingly.

[Nakisisa]

Nabu slowly got up, stumbling slightly he regained his ballance, he walked over to Kadoo and gave her a small sibling friendly nuzzle "Thank You, Sister"

"Do you need anything?" Asked kadoo.
She reached in her bag.

"Well, if your not interested in her...?" Sheelal said.

"Or you." V said.

Sheelal gave a anoyed look.
"It was worth a shot, Qymaen, Jai, get him." She said as they moved forward.

"I see that your days as hunters aren't over." V said dodging the attacks.

"Only now, instead of Mwiba your queen tells you what to do." He sliped over to Qymaen's side attacking him. The three fought, while Sheelal sat on the sides.

[Nakisisa]

"If you can fix a broken friendship, I would be greatful" Nabu joked as he walked back over to Iya's side

After watching for a while, Upepo walked up to kadoo, "Mum, who's that?" he asked cubbishly.

"Heh, if only I could..." Kadoo said, when she heard,"Mum, who's that?"

"Oh, this is Nabu, he is my brother." Kadoo said.

V fought as hard as he could, but the hunters were to strong together; he was knocked unconcious.
"Wha... What?... Where am I?" He said, waking up in the catacomes of a old stone city.

"Aw, I know I must be slipping, if they got me." V said standing up.

[Nakisisa]

Oh, this is Nabu, he is my brother.
"Wow you have a brother!!!" Upepo said happily, walking over to Jicho and Iya, And who are these people?" he said rubbing against there legs

"This is your grandmother, and this is... I'm sorry I don't recall your name?" Kadoo said.

"Well my name is Iya. I'm Nabu's Friend." Iya said.

"I see you're awake." Said a female voice.

"Spunky... It's been a long time." V said.

"Please don't call me spunky I've outgrown that name. Call me by my real name." She said.

"Fine, Demona." V said.

"Thank you. Now I'll bet your wondrin why you're here?" She said in her Cajun accent.

"Oh I know why, the same reason as last time, only now Mke's already dead." V said.

[Nakisisa]

"I take it these are your cubs sister" Nabu said to Kadoo

"Yep, this is my mum!" Upepo said jumping onto kadoos back

Nabu laughed and nuzzled Iya. "I see your cubs take after you" he said

"Actually they are more like there father." Kadoo said.

"You have a complicated family." Iya said.

[Nakisisa]

"I hope ours won't be like this" nabu said, "mother are you alright?" Nabu asked Jicho

A.J turned from everyone else. I don't know why I'm standing here with Nabu when he wanted me dead. he thought to himself. Then he looked back at Nabu. "Nabu, tell me why I can now trust you after you so badly wanted me dead. I could've killed you while you were unconscious. I didn't. That's because I believe everyone needs second chances. I just hope you now have a good reason for me to trust you again."

"*giggles* Our?" Iya said.

"As much as I'd like to beleave otherwise, A.J. has a point." Kadoo said.

"You gotta chance to be king, and you turn it down?" Demona said.

"Yea, pretty much." V said.

"Why?" Demona asked.

"*sigh* We've been down this road before.. you know how it ends." V said tapping his claws on the ground.

"I always get, what I want." Demona said moving her face in front of his.

"Didn't last time." V said.

Naki didn't hear Iya speak, only AJ.
Nabu, tell me why I can now trust you after you so badly wanted me dead.
Dead, the word flew around Nabus mind like an angry bee, Dead.
"Wha... What..."

"AJ... I..."

"I... Don't know"

"Please... AJ..."

"Make it stop please!" Nabu screamed in pain
YOU WANTED ME DEAD
"PLEASE" nabu screamed again, tears streaming down his face.

"Make what stop?" Kadoo thought.
She reached into her satchel, grabbed a leaf, and covered his mouth; the secretions from the leaf seeped into Nabu's mouth.

"Yes but dat was last time, I was young and foolish." Demona said.

"Was?" V mocked her.

"Make all the de jokes you wan, but I still got ya trapped here." She said.

"As it would seem." V scratched his head.

"But I can see a few ways out." He said

[Nakisisa]

YOU WANTED ME DEAD
Came the last shout before Nabu fell to the ground again, falling asleep from stress and the leaf across his mouth

"Whoa, I wonder what's going on with him." Kadoo said.

"My guess, a psycological battle, but I might be wrong." Jicho said.

"A psyco- what?" Iya said.

"He is battling himself, for his philosophys, or at least I think so." Jicho said.

As Nabu lay, his mind fighting over what he thought was right he twitched and thrashed about, at some points violently
