hi im new i need loads of help with roleplays

ok so ive never done it before so can somebody help me through step by step and then do a lil roleplay with me plz

Okay.

I don't know if you've written any stories before, but RPing is basically the same thing, except that you only write the story for your own character (or characters; sometimes you can have more than one in the same thread). And then, you wait for other people to create replies (to "write the story") with their own characters, to give your character something to do, or talk about, or think about, the next time you post.

Any of the RPs in this forum would be good examples of what I mean; but if you've never done it before, try reading some of the posts in this thread. It's one of the practice RPs that some newer members did to work on their skills. Maybe it'll help you get the idea. ^_^

You should also check out this board -- it's a place where some members (including me) have written little guides to help new people with different parts of the process.

I particularly recommend Signing Up Your Character by Kirsui, RPing Tips by Fire, Kanu's Tips for Roleplaying by KanuTGL, and Some General Instructions, also by Kirsui.

All of the threads in that section are very good (except, maybe, mine ), but the ones I linked to are probably the best of the best for brand-spankin'-new RPers.

So, read 'em up, and if you have any other questions, or if I didn't make something clear enough, please let me (or one of the mods"]http://www.tlkgo.co.uk/mods.htm]the mods) know. I'll do my best to answer any questions.

After that, if you'd like to try a little RPing in this thread, you can start with a post, and I'll post along until you feel comfortable doing it.

Above all, it's about having fun, so speak up if anything doesn't make sense, so you can get answers and get the most fun out of this site.
