"Don't mind Rhea. She can be like this..."

The blue rhino's tiny eyeballs widened as Skell dismissed her advances and spoke of them with contempt. She whipped her head around and glared at the ridiculous tiger.

"So, to go back into those introductions you mentioned earlier... I'm Skell. What would you be called, my fiery friend?"

Great...just great. The one time she had felt like Skell was being sane and sensible, here he was chatting away and trying to make a buddy. The relentless panther did remind Rhea of the black and white tiger, as ignorant and persistent as a pestering fly. Still she was taken aback by the tiger's stupidity. <I thought this Inari business was of some big importance...

<...Wait a minute...is he avoiding a conversation with Anubris?>

That coward. He knew whatever fault he had with Inari and he was procrastinating, though knowing he would have to face it sooner or later. She couldn't wait until the impressive Anubris stood over him once again and held him responsible for all that he had done. Rhea saw the powerful cheetah walk away in disgust, heading over to the group of new faces. This convinced Rhea that Skell was no longer worth dealing with. If she couldn't convince either of these males of anything individually, she had no chance of getting through to them when they had each other's support.

Still, Rhea couldn't resist the urge to insult this irritating tiger. The whips of light and color flung around her again, this time more quickly and making soft whispering noises as they lashed through the calm air. She barely lifted off the ground, but as she touched it again, her new hooves clomped down upon the earth angrily. She bucked about and stuck two large, bare butt cheeks right in Skell's white face. She whapped her tail and the long hair on it about. The peeved donkey turned her head toward the rude big cat and opened her mouth wide, showing her large, flat teeth, and screaming an angry "Heeeeaaaawwww!!"

An he was, indeed.

With that she kicked some dirt in the creature's face and tromped off after Anubris, morphing back into her normal self on her way.

[Zorayda]

Zorayda watched the entire display between the dark tiger, the gray leopard, and the morphing creature with some confusion and fear.

But when the morphing creature performed the little "" stunt...

She couldn't help herself.

She burst into guffaws of laughter that shook her whole frame. She laughed long and hard until her stomach and face hurt.

"Oh, man..." she wiped tears from her eyes to see the scary gray panther staring at her with distaste. "Uhhh...I mean, jeez, how rude!" Zorayda snapped to attention, attempting to put on a serious face and failing miserably.

"Just go away..." Xanthos said through his teeth, looking murderous.

"I'm just...gonna go over here now," Zorayda said sheepishly, backing away. She ran over to the cream lioness standing with the cub and decided to quickly immerse herself in conversation.

"So, uh...are you guys new to these parts, or...?" She left the question open, occasionally glancing nervously at Skell and Xanthos. She extended a wing to block their view of her and began to groom it.

The gray panther rolled his red eyes and turned to Skell.

"Rhea, huh? She's rather bold, isn't she? My name is Xanthos, by the way. Skell..." The fiery panther looked up for a moment, trying out the name. He smiled eerily. "I like it."

Kondo watched the conversation with interest, wondering what this unpredictable group would do next. But when Skell spoke to the panther as if they were friends he growled, a small rumbling sound that only served to make him less threatening. Rhead seemed to have the same thought and she morphed into a donkey. Kondo leaned forwards eagerly awaiting what Rhea would do next. However, he was not prepared for her to do as she did. Kondo, realising Anubris was close, bit back the laugh. But when she made the funny noise, he couldn't help it.

"BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!" He laughed loudly, rolling on the floor with laughter. He joined Zorayda in a laughing fit, he hadn't laughed for a while now. He got up, seemingly in control, but his tiny cub body shook every now and then with laughter. Zorayda ran over and he smiled at her.

"I arrived here before Teena, but yes I am new here. I was passing through when I saw twister. So I came to investigate. I don't even know these guys, just their names" He smiled at her and then finally took notice of her wings.

"Ow wow! Cool! You have wings! That's so awesome! The only thing different I have is the streak on my leg" He lifted up his leg to show the small streak before putting it down. Then he noticed Rhea and Anubris headed their way.

"Nobody upset the grumpy Cheetah!" He warned them with a whisper.

Zo's eyes turned towards the cub.

"Thanks! I like 'em. They get me places and they're feathery." She admired them for a moment, stretching one out before tucking it back in. She swung her head around when he referred to a grumpy cheetah.

"Oh, thanks for the advice," she whispered as they came closer. She casually positioned herself between the cub and Teena to make herself less promininent. It didn't work...she was purple. "I'm Zorayda, by the way...I dunno if you heard me before."

Teena looked curiously at the wings, this was the first time she seen it on lions; she sniffed at the wings, not too closely. After a while, however, she no longer paid attetion to the wings and just watched the argument continue on. When she saw Zorayda trying to make herself less noticable, it made her want to laugh out; it still seem quite odd, but she resisted.

"Hello, my name is Teena!" she said looking at the purple winged lioness, although she knew the lioness probably already knew her name; she felt the need to introduce herself again, just to be polite.

I wonder how long will this awkward stand still linger on? It's getting pretty.....awkward, to say the least..... she thought and looked at the weird position of silence she, Kondo, and Zorayda was in.

Rhea's smoldering anger was cooled quickly by the group ahead of her. They were laughing hysterically at her stunt, and with this rare attention, Rhea suddenly felt much better. She herself realized how funny it had been, and she began chuckling at the thought. Skell made her so angry, and she was proud that she had taken an outright chance to insult him.

She reached the friendly group and felt much more at home. The smaller, younger creatures, this Teena, Zorayda, and Moona all had an unphased, happy glow about them, which Rhea needed at the moment. They were marveling at Zorayda's soft, white wings.

It was revitalizing to be around happier, kinder people, but Rhea was still eager to hear what Anubris had to say about Inari's situation. She so wanted to help him in whatever needed to be done, for Inari had been a kind friend to her, and Rhea felt like her death has been unjustified. Still, as much respect as she had for the cheetah and as desperately as she wanted to speak with him, she couldn't muster up the courage. She simply sat in silence as the small lions had their fun, and she secretly pondered on when and how she could speak with Anubris without looking pathetic and dumb.
