Sereana nuzzled Fire. She was glad that he was understanding. She saw that he focused on something. "So thats what i have been hearing." Sereana meant to say the in her head. but she kinda said it softly under her breath. Not even thinking of Nadayshana.
Nadayshana started shaking. Sence her mother and her new father were close together she ran under Fire. She felt comfortable under Sereana but more safe under Fire. "Father...im scared. " Like mother like Daughter. She started to cry.
Sereana beant her head down and made sure that Shana was ok. "Hey hey hey... shhhhhh...it ok.." Sereana licked her daughter. "Just stay put ok?"
Nadayshana nodded.
Sereana put her head back. She whispered in Fires ear. "It is ok right?" She looked scared and her eyes were sad. Her ears were back and droopy. He facial expression was sad yet scared. She wanted to make sure that her new love and her daughter stayed ok. She lost her little sister and her family before..she cant loose them too. Especially not Nadayshana. She put her head under his neck and closed her eyes. She whispred so Shana couldnt hear it. "Babe..Im really scared." She put one paw on Shana and the other one on Fires other paw.

Zander looked down at Meri, taking his eyes off of the thickening black mist. "I saw him." He didn't really want to scare the others...didn't want to falsely alarm them, but he had a good feeling that his father was somewhere around them. He had finally been found.
Eyes searching, Zander continued to scan the mist. He just hoped he would zero in on his father before anyone else, and especially before he did on them. As his eyes moved back and forth, he found that it was already too late. A pair of dark eyes stared back at him, narrowing now that he had spotted them. Nothing else could be seen of the lion, but he knew he was there. The mist was beginning to swirl around them as the eyes got closer. Zander took a step in front of Meri and the others, not taking his eyes from the form of his father.
"I know you're there," he bellowed. His eyes narrowed and his feet were planted firmly in the ground, claws extracted. He was ready for anything, and he knew that anything could happen.
"Getting brave, are we, son?" The voice seemed to be all around them as it spoke. The voice was hoarse and deep, and it continued. "You may as well just give it up..." The eyes widened a bit as they continually got closer. "Your end will come, just like your mother's. And soon, if I have anything to do with it." The eyes looked away momentarily, before returning and narrowing as if in a grin. "And I will."
Zander growled deep in his throat as his tail behind him twitched ever so slightly in anticipation. Flashes of his mother lying dead on the ground, his father towering over her flashed into his mind. The pain was returning and he let out a roar as he closed his eyes and shook his head to rid him of both the image and the pain. Neither seemed to leave. Finally, he could focus again on reality, but the biting pain was still plaguing his head. His eyes narrowed on his father again, teeth bared. "Your words mean nothing to me." Zander peered through the mist and stared down his father's eyes.
"Oh? Do they not? Do you even remember your mother?" A chuckle came from the direction of the eyes as they stopped about five paces away from the group. "I know of your little ailment. You probably barely even remember me." He chuckled again and sighed in mock pity. "I mean, how could I not? I was the one who gave you the injuries. If I hadn't seen your two sniveling friends coming in the distance, you would have been done for. Besides...this is more entertaining." He took another step and then stopped once again. "I've been watching you for some time now. Quite the little leader, aren't we? And where do you even think that you're going?"
Zander growled low again, anger egging him on to attack. However, he stood his ground. At this point, he knew he was no match for the lion before him. He would have to settle for talking it through. He huffed a bit through his nose, showing that he wasn't going to speak of where he was headed with the group.
"Fine, don't tell me. I'll just follow. Or would it be alright if I tagged along?" Suddenly, the large form emerged from the mist, a dark brown lion with a mane black as pitch. The coat had bits of black in it as well. "I'm sure I could make friends with your little group here." Zander's eyes narrowed and his muscles became as tense as ever, ready to move at the drop of a pin. "The white one behind you looks especially friendly. I have been quite lonely since your mother died..." The lion looked to the ground in mock sadness, but as soon as the words left his mouth, Zander was ontop of him.
Zander had had enough. He was going to fight, maybe to the death, but hopefully it could save the others. He scratched at his fathers face, cutting deep into his cheek and drawing blood. A growl emerged from the black maned lion and quickly he was right ontop of Zander, using his strength as his focal point. "You can't beat me...and you know it." Zander squirmed underneath his father's great weight, trying to free himself. Blood dripped onto his face from his father's wound as he leaned in close to his ears. "I've been waiting a long time to do this, Zander." The lion then raised up, paw extended and ready to swipe at Zander's already damaged head.
At hearing his name used, Zander's fuse was blown. Catching his father unbalanced, he quickly used all of his strength to lunge at his fathers chest with his teeth, getting a good grip and clamping down as hard as he could as the paw came down upon his head leaving deep gashes beneath the mane and slicing his ear as well.. He soon found his father on the ground, gasping for air. Zander released him, taking a step back and watching him bleed from the punctures. He felt himself get dizzy from the blow, but forced himself to stay concious. "Get out of here, or I will kill you." Zander growled and watched to see his father's actions.
When his father had caught his breath, he got to his feet, wincing in pain as his chest felt to be on fire. "You don't have the will to kill me. But I will leave, for the time being." He narrowed his eyes and Spat out some blood. "Next time, I won't go so easy on you." He turned slowly and began to walk away, yet he turned his head just as he was disappearing into the mist again. "And don't think there won't be a next time."
The large male walked slowly from the area, and as the time passed, the mist grew less and less thick until it was hardly visable any longer. Zander stood and watched the direction of his father, but he was no where to be seen when the air was cleared. Suddenly Zander swooned and felt the trickle of blood down his face. Falling to the ground, he growled at the pain surrounding his head. He fought with his mind to stay concious, and he was fading constantly in and out of it. Finally, his eyes went dark and his mind blank.
((OOC: Sorry it's so long and I didn't allow anyone else any interactions with the father...just wanted to get it out of the way. And I'll have a profile up soon, but seeing how this needed to be done I brought him in. As soon as I think up specifics for this character, he'll be posted))

Meri lifted an eyebrow as Zander mentioned "he" was here. She had a good idea of who he meant, but had no idea to think about it more when Zander's father already spoke. The white lioness frowned at the sight of him, frowned at every word he spoke... But when he emerged from the mist, she lifted an eyebrow. She hadn't seen him before, no.. but he resembeled a lot of the lion that had taken over Meri's pride and scarred her face, also causing the blindness to her left eye. Meri knew this was another lion and not the same, but she couldnt help that the memories from that time rose back to her mind.
"The white one behind you looks especially friendly. I have been quite lonely since your mother died..."
Meri froze and her eyes widened in shock. Even if she would have wanted to do something about the situation earlier, those words just made her paralyzed, unable to move herself. She watched as Zander pounced on his father, as the two started the fight. When the two stepped back from eachother, Meri took a deep breath to calm herself down.
Then Zander's father left, and the dark mist seemed to start dissappearing. Meri blinked her eyes in amazement. So had the black mist been there only because of Zander's father...? "ZANDER!" Meri watched as he fell to the ground. She rushed to his side, finally getting rid of her paralyzed state. She stood right next to Zander, shaking him slightly. "Zander..?" She realized he was unconscious, and seeing the blood bleeding from his head. Her eyes widened. "No..." she whispered, not knowing how to help Zander with the wound on his head.

Fire had been nuzzling and holding close Sereana and Nadayshana to him to keep them safe from what was around them. He then saw the smoke dissipate and left, but what accompained the smoke leaving made the situation a whole lot worse.
"ZANDER!"
Meri's voice sounded like it was in fear and worryment. He looked over to Sereana and Nadayshana, giving a lick to Sereana's cheek and a nuzzle to Nadayshana. "I have to help.. He's been hurt badly.." He then carefully let go of Sereana and started running over to Meri. "Do you know of anything that can soak up the blood quickly?..."

After hearing Fire's question, Meri looked around, to see plants or something else to tie around the wounds on Zander's head. But there was nothing... No large plants, not tall grass.. Not even trees! The white lioness glanced desperately down at Zander, then made up her mind. "My hair..." she said, closing her eyes. "There's nothing else than my hair."
It made sence. Her hair was long, and it hung below the half way of Meri's legs. The white lioness lifted her other front paw to check where about the area where her hair grew ended on her back. "You got to cut it" she said to Fire, pointing in about half way of her neck. "Cut my hair from this spot towards my back" she said. "It should be enough to tie around Zander's head. And it'll still leave the hair on my head, to cover.. you know.. my scar..." She swallowed looking again down at Zander, hoping he would survive.

Fire's eyes shot to the size of golf balls when Meri mentioned about cutting her hair off to provide it as a bandage. Her hair.. Something that Fire had always treasured. He couldn't imagine anyone else getting their hair cut off. But.. As the situation called... there was a life on the line. It's eaither cut the hair, or let Zander die. He undid one of his claws and tilted it to the side to expose the sharpest part of the claw. He lifted up the part of the hair that Meri told her to cut, running his claw along it and feeling the hair slowly pull off. It was surprisingly thick for a lioness's hair. As soon as the hair came off, he quickly rushed to Zander's side and then wrappedthe hair around where it was bleeding, pressing the hair into the blood to make it soak up as much as possible before letting the rest of the dry part to rest on the bleeding part. "Oh god..." He said quietly. He then looked to Meri. "What.. was that thing?.."

Meri had her eyes closed tighly when Fire cut part of her hair away. She let out a sigh and opened her eyes again, looking down at Zander as Fira started to take care of the wounds. 'It'll grow back...' Meri thought. 'It's just hair... Life's more important.' Meri glanced at Fire when he asked what that creature had been. She kept her eyes locked on Zander. "It was... his father." She took a deep breath as the memory of Zander's father's words came back again. She felt disgusted of the mere thought of what the large male had said about "making friends" with her. 'Never!' she thought, taking a look around to make sure that rest of the group was ok.

Serena Watched Fire walk. She looked at Nadayshana. "Want to go somehere?" She looked at her. She nodded. Sereana put her on her back and walked towards a tree. It was somewhat away from the others. She layed down and put Nadayshana on the ground. she started giving her a bath.
Nadayshana sat there while her mother gave her a bath. She loved it .Yet other times she wish she wouldnt. She smiled at Sereana and let her keep going. She put her head on sereanas chest.
Sereana smiled back at her smile. Nadayshana then put her head on Sereans chest. She nuzzled. "Night baby girl." She licked her one more time. She then put her head on her own shoulder resting it there. She fell asleep not even knowing it. She could here the others talking around them.

Amaiza was quite shocked when Zander started talking, and a figure stepped out of the mist. The two started rambling about in a conversation. Then the figure mentioned something about her and Fire.
"Well gee thanks, so now I'm sniveling."
The grey lioness retorted with a roll of her eyes. Then all of a sudden Zander attacked the lion, and they got in a fight, which was soon won by Zander, and the other lion dissapeared. But Zander was left unconcious on the ground.
"Oh my... we need to help him."
And she wasn't the only one who realised this, Meri was already taking action, trying to chop half her hair off to wrap around their leaders head.

At the back of the group Cheabosa watched, he'd been trailing after them and didn't really feel like part of the group yet he had no where else to go, he watched several of the others trying to help the group's leader but he stayed where he was, there was little he could do, he knew that - other then keep a watchful lookout.

She said looking at the cub.
Sereana looked and saw a cub. She nuzzled Nadayshana and puched her in the direction of the cub.
"Go ahead.....shes only a couple steps away. Go say hi at least. Ill watch for your...father.."
She said fatgher, not used to saying it. She made sure that Nadayshana didnt wander off to far.
Nadayshana walked slowly up to the cub and stopeed a couple inches away.
"H...Hi.... Im Nadaysaha....Nady for short."
She gave a little smile.

Bahreeka looked down at Zander with a shocked look on her face, and Amaiza and Meri seemed to already be attending to him.
"Zander....? Zander, can you hear me?"
The cheetah put a paw on his cheeck and gently moved his head trying to get his attention. It seemed like he was still unconcious, but she kept trying.
"Zander...Please, wake up."

Meri was still looking down at Zander, wishing he'd show atleast some sign of being alive. She only barely realized Bahreeka coming over and try to wake him up. The voice of Zander's father kept ringing inside her head, repeating the words he had spoken on that short moment of meeting with the group. She blinked her eyes, realizing how blurry her vision suddenly became.
Meri tried to hide her tears from others, but her try was useles. As soon as she moved her head to make her hair fall down to cover her face, she felt how tears fell down, falling on Zander's face. She gasped silently. "Excuse me for a moment..." she muttered to the others, turning and walking a bit away from them. She sat down nearby, quickly wiping the tears away from her eyes, looking then at the mountains.

Sereana looked at Naday. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Meri.
"Naday....Stay here and talk to your new friend. Dont go anywhere."
She smiled and licked her daughter and walked over to Meri.
"Hey....Zanders strong.... And Fire will do all he can to help Zander."
She smiled and looked at Fire. She then looked at Meri.
Naday smiled and looked at Kiona. She laughed.
"Whatchya doin'?"

Kiona dropped into a crouch. "Wanna fight?" She growled playfully. Overhead, stormclouds started to drft into view, the promise of rain hung in the air. Somewhere in the distance, thunder cracked. ______________________________________________________________
In the distance, Kioning stood shilloutted by the cracking lightning behind him. Rain started to fall on his long white pelt, making his black mane stick to the rest of his fur. He slowly made his way over to where Meri and Bahreeka were standing. His fur looked like it was glowing slightly, with the rain echoing off of his white fur. "What happened?" He asked, looking down at Zander. His voice was low and dark, but he ment no harm.

Fire looked over to both Bahreeka and Meri, who wanted to try to revive the lion that looked unconscious. Zander was seriously out to lunch.. He showed no signs of stirring after Bahreeka attempted to wake him up. But, what really was focusing his mind was when Meri excused herself to walk away from them. Probably to think. But, when he saw a wet spot on Zander's face, he was now getting curious and a little bit worried for Meri.
He was now walking slowly over to Meri, giving her a few minutes to think about things before he approached her softly and then looked over with a sympathetic smile and a warm and calming tone. "You feeling all right, Meri?... You seem a little off."

Meri didn't turn her gaze away from the mountains when Sereana spoke to her. Though she knew the ohter lioness was there, she barely made any move to show she had noticed Sereana.
And this continued when Kioning suddenly appeared again. Usually Meri would have swirled on her feet to see what or who caused every sudden noise... Now she just sat there, not paying attention to anything. Not until Fire came.
"You feeling all right, Meri?... You seem a little off."
She tried to chuckle, failing completely. "A little...?" she whispered, closing her eyes and letting her head fall a little so that her hair covered her face completely. "I'm scared, Fire..." she muttered quietly behind her thick blue hair. "Scared of what's happening. My whole life has been nothing but fear, fear for what happens to me. But now..." She sighed, curling her tail around her legs. "... Now I'm not afraid of what happens to me, but what happens to those I care about."

When Fire was listening to Meri, he could understand and sympathize what she was going through. knowing that fear certainly wasn't a good thing to have constantly around your life.
He smiled a little and then sat down on in front of her with his own tail just idily swishing about. not really caring where it went. "There are some things that we can't help to happen to us in this world, Meri. I know it may seem like terrible things are going to happen to us, but.. If we just hold our heads high and just continue on to try and stop the terrible things, then it's at least better than worrying about them, right?" His voice never rose to her, never got excited, yet there was always the friendliness to it.

Sereana gave a little smile when Fire came over. Nothing big. Just to show that he was there. She sighed and walked back up to where her and Nady were. She smiled at Nady. Too bad it was a fake smile. She layed by the tree and put her head down. She sighed once again and just stared at nothing,.
Nadayshana smiled at Kiona. She took her paw and pawed at her friendly. She laughed.

Meri didn't lift her head. Her face had a blank expression, though it could not be seen behind her hair. The white lioness heard Sereana rise up and walk away. If she had been on her normal state of mind, she would have noticed that something was possibly wrong with Sereana. But she wasn't, and didn't care.
"Tell me, Fire..." the white lioness finally spoke. At the same time she lifted her head, but this time the hair covered the left side of her face, leaving her blind eye and scar visible. Oddly enough, her blind eye didn't seem to be able to produce tears. "How do you stop someone from dying?" she questioned silently. She couldn't see properly behind her hair, but tried to focuse her gaze on the blurry character of Fire. "Last time I checked, there wasn't really much one could do to that." She paused, turning her head so that her working eye wouldn't see Fire's blurry character. "Stopping terrible things sounds great... I wish I had heard that a long time ago. Perhaps it then would have helped, perhaps I wouldn't be worrying now. But I didn't hear it, and so much has already happened, that I can't do much anything else than worry."
Meri got up to her feet and shook her head slightly to put her hair on it's correct place to hide the scar. She glanced at Sereana, but did not look at Fire. "Go talk to her" she said. "She seems a little down." After that, the white lioness returned to Zander, wishing he had already shown atleast some sign of returning from unconsciousness. She sat down, looking down at Zander. She clearly wasn't going to say anything. Not in a while.

Fire just listened to Meri's words with the full intent of listening. And there wasn't any that he could against her for. Everything she had said was true. Even with the miracles that happen everyday in our lives, the ones that we want to happen... just aren't physically possible, miracle or no miracle. And when her siude of the face that he had noticed she always tried to have kept closed, was visible to Fire's eyes. The scar... the blind eye. It made sense to him, now.
When Meri looked over to Serena and ignored her eyes to him, Fire's ears drooped a little. It perplexed him that Meri wasn't even trying to talk to him. Well, at least in his mind, he felt like it. And when Meri walked off towards Zander, it made him even more motivated to know what was going on inside of the mysterious and elusive mind of the lioness's.
Fire slowly walked up to Meri and just sat down near her. "I know you probably aren't going to talk to me, but.. I just want to say something.."
"We all do things in this world that none of us can explain. Wether it be a mental habit, or a physical pattern. Amaiza and I stop terrible things from happening to us everyday.. We stop ourselves from dehydrating, starving from food and friendship... Although, with the deaths of our pride, we were never able to figure out a way to bring back our parents.. Amazia and I do things to help cope with the pain. And frankly, it's probably all that you can do. You can't change what has happened in the past. So, why let it be something that you think about everyday? We can't go back and stop our parent's deaths from not happening. I can understand why kind of pain you're going through..." He nods. "Coping with it is all you can do.. Doing things to help take your mind off of the past is really all that you can do..."
Fire then lowered his head so that he could take a little sigh into his chest.

Sereana looked at Nady. She was having fun. But why couldnt she cope with herself. She was upset...over what exactly. She sighed and stood up. She looked at Nady. "Naday...stay with Kiona or...Fire....Mommy needs to go think.." She sighed and licked her doaughters cheek. She smiled at Kiona. She walked away from everyone and just thought about different things. She wanted to know things that couldnt be answered. She paced back and foth in front of an old tree. "Ugh....Sereana...get yourself together..what is your problem!!" She was pretty much...well..yelling at herself. She "Ugh!!" She yelled a little and layed down. "What am i supposed to do!"
Nadayshana lookeda t her mother confused...."Ok....."She smiled and watched her mother walk away. She then looked at Fire. She shrugged and her attention was back to Kiona.

Black. Nothing but black. All around him was the pitch color of nothingness. Zander couldn't feel the ground beneath his feet. He was just there, in nowhere. Dead silence surrounded him; not even the sound of his own breathing caught his ears. What was going on? He remembered his father...the fight...was he having another vision? Had he blacked out once again? He growled to himself, yet the only indication was the vibrations in his throat. Am I dead? he wondered...
Suddenly, a white light came rushing toward him. The nothingness was beginning to vanish and he could see the foliage of a jungle beginning to appear, yet he wasn't actually in it. He was still floating, as if watching the scene from a distance. Below, he could see two young cubs huddled together...where his last vision had left off abruptly. Closer and closer he came, until he could see himself in the form of a cub and could see the brownish gray female that he couldn't actually remember besides from the visions...
"...and then they were gone," the young female cub whispered, a slight tremor in her soft voice. "I haven't...seen my parents since...." Zander could see the young cub trembling, her back heaving with each sob that she gave. His cub-self placed a paw upon her back.
"I...I've lost my parents too." Actually, it had only been one parent that had been lost...but he saw them both as gone forever. "I'm scared too." The female looked up at him with her light blue eyes, taking her head from her paws. The tears had left trails down her cheeks and she wiped at them with her paw.
"You're alone too?" A sniffle came from her nose as her sobs subsided. "We should...should stick together. I don't want to...to be alone anymore." Without notice, she lunged at the young Zander, closing her eyes and huddling underneath his chin, pressed against his body. The young male's eyes went wide for a second, startled, but then they softened and he wrapped a paw around the younger female's shoulders.
"Yes...we will stick together." He closed his eyes slightly, taking a deep breath. So he wasn't in this alone anymore..."I'm Zander."
The lioness cub took a step back, her tear finally stopped and a slight smile came to her face. "Aura. My name's Aura."
Suddenly, Zander's head started spinning. The scene of the two cub disappeared and he was now focusing on the silhouette of the large lion with the black flowing mane. "Zander...you're past recalls many tragedies, and so does your future. The pasts of your friends also have their tragedies. You must go back to them now. Go now, or you will never be able to return to them." Zander thought of his new friends, of Fire and Meri, Amaiza, the two cheetahs Bahreeka and Cheabosa...the cub and mother that he hadn't gotten the chance to properly know...he had to go back for all of them. He couldn't end it like this.
Zander felt himself being pulled away from the figure of the lion. As he saw the lion begin to walk away, he reached out, calling. "Wait!" He tried to scramble back, but the force that was pulling him was too strong. "What am I supposed to do? I don't understand any of it!" The lion was beginning to fade as the pain in his head escalated. "Who is Aura? Why can't I remember!?" But he was gone, and so was everything. The black nothing was back, and so was the massive pain. He had to go back to his friend if he wanted to know the answers.
Slowly, he opened his eyes, one by one. His vision was blurred and the pain in his head was killing him. His body felt as if it weighed a ton, and he tried to move his legs but wasn't able to yet. He began to hear voices around him, Meri and Fire's voices. "Uhhn..." he groaned, the pain in his head making it hard to hear or see anything that had been going on. Yet..he thought...at least he was awake. He would have another chance.

Meri did hear whar Fire said, though her expression told otherwise. She seemed to be watching the ground somewhere near Zander's head, though in fact she was seeing something very different. Her memories that always seemed to come and haunt her when ever they had the chanse... 'Perhaps, Fire...' Meri thought to herself. 'Perhaps I can not do anything else than think of my past... How would you know, not having had to go though all that I have...' She seemed to let out a deep sigh, though the reason for that was something only she knew.
Suddenly her ears perked up at the sudden sound she heard. Her eyes widened as her gaze focused on Zander. He... was alive! "Zander?" Meri spoke quietly, lowering her head slightly to hear and see better. "Do you hear my voice...?"

Fire was just about to go and talk to Sereana when he saw that Zander was slowly starting to stir. He had finally gotten awake from his unconscious pattern. He definitely knew that there was some life when he heard the weak groan coming from the lion. Meri's approach to him made himself walk over slowly and sit beside her, watching Zander and hoping dearly for a response from him.

Sereana could see everyone gathered around Zander. She gave a little smile. At least she knew that Zander was ok. She sighed once more and stood up. She walked over to where Kiona and Nady were and sat down. She smiled at they played with eachother. She layed down and looked at everyone round Zander. She didnt know if she should go over there. She had never actually met him before. he said hi, but then had to do something. She sighed as her tail swayed from one side to the other....back and forth... She stood up and nuzzled naday. "You two having fun??" Sereana said laughing.
Nadayshana laughed and looked at her mother. "Lots... Have you heard...Zanders alive!!"

Bahreeka's eyes widened when a noise came out of Zanders mouth.
"Zander?... Zander!"
The cheetahs ears flicked up and a smile was now on her face.
"Can you hear me Zander?"
Then Meri joined in.
"Do you hear my voice...?"
