Wow that's a super sweet excerpt Leo! I don't know that much about the cultural stuff you're putting in, but why is "sun" capitalized? Also I love the relationship between the two, but I feel kind of...I'm not sure..weird, about the whole scent thing at the end. I don't know how long Tleyotl's scent would last, but wouldn't Citlali feel better if their promise was based on something more substantial? Like maybe the heat in her fur (that isn't very substantial lol) or idk lol. It was just a little thought I had. Other than that I like it a lot! I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Hmm yeah, I actually wondered if the whole scent thing was a bit too weird xD I know big cats can sense the presence of others through scent, but as for how long it stays after Tleyotl was gone, I'm not even so sure of that myself. Besides, I don't want to sound too suggestive about why the scent is there in the first place ><. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll do a bit of research and see what I can do with it ^^
As for the Sun being capitalized, I think it's a rule in which words that mean celestial bodies such as the Sun, the Moon, Earth, Saturn, etc. must be capitalized if they're used in the context of specifically the Sun in our solar system, or the Earth's Moon. But when the context isn't specific, like talking about another sun in a different solar system, or Jupiter's moons, then they're not capitalized, also when they're mentioned in plural. Still, since you mentioned it, I looked back and noticed that I did capitalize the word in plural once, so thanks for mentioning this too ^^.
So I believe this line should go like this: “Then, Tleyotl, my Sun of dawn,” Citlali said. “I will wait for your return, but please don’t take too long, for I too love only one jaguar, and if you leave now to your territory, I will count the moons and suns hoping for you to appear before I lose the track of time.”
Although I'm not sure if the word in "Sun of dawn" should be capital, but I'll leave it like that until I stand corrected xD

Oh okay! I just wasn't sure about the sun thing because I thought I saw it capitalized a couple of times, (mainly in the first paragraph) so I wasn't sure if it was some sort of deity or title or something.
Glad to have been of service! I hope I was sort of helpful lol. XD
