"You'll be damaging the cubs if you starve yourself." He argued back.

Wasana sighed. "You're right. Thank you," she said, drawing her hand away. "I can't believe he was so cruel! I can't believe he came over here just to insult us. Who does he think he is?" She shook her head, flabbergasted, still a bit rattled by the confrontation.

"I don't understand why Lailah puts up with it." Ezekiel frowned.

"Maybe he's nice to her," Wasana said, looking up at her mate. "Uhh... don't take this the wrong way, but you were kind-of growling at him when he first walked in. You know if Lail has to choose sides, she'd probably choose him, right? He's the father of her cubs." She put her paw on Zeke's. "I know this is going to be hard, but maybe, if we're both nice to him, things will ease off, and we can all get along. I think that's important for you and Lail, and it'd be a shame if the cubs missed out on the coolest uncle in the world." She smiled up at him. "What do you think?"

"I don't care." He growled, obviously reclaiming his protectiveness over Lailah.

Wasana paused for a moment, stroking the fur on Zeke's paw. "You do care about Lail, though. What would make her happier?"

"A lion who doesn't make her cower or whose name means enemy." He replied.

"I thought she was cringing because you two were fighting... Or did I read her wrong?" Wasana said.

(OOC: Welcome back you've been missed! *huggle*)
"You read her wrong." He said rather harshly without intending too.

(Thanks Clary:D. It's good to be back!)
"Well... How do you know?" She said, feeling a little intimidated by Zeke's tone. "I know she's your sister and all, but what indicated that to you? I thought she was just embarrassed, because she hadn't told you."

"He shouted at her, she cowered, he told her what to do she obeyed. My sister would never do that."

"I cower when you shout at me. Which isn't often, I might add. Don't I obey when you tell me to do something? "But alright," she said. "We should go speak to her about him, and make sure she's ok. Do you know where they live? Or can you follow her scent? I'll have the humans carry me, and in case he causes any trouble, we'll get them to take some spears too."

"No. You stay here, I'm going alone." He snapped, turning and stalking off.
Lailah sat in the corner of her and Hasimu's cave trying to calm the cubs as her mate began pacing up and down, growling aboutu Ezekiel.

"Zeke, ZEKE!" she said, then sobbed: he'd done it again. At least she knew where he was going this time. For a moment she considered doing what he said and let him deal with the consequences - all she wanted to do was go eat - but she didn't want Zeke's choices to hurt anyone else. Giving directions to her humans, she arranged for her litter to be picked up, and for armed humans to go with her in search for her mate.

Ezekiel found Lailah's cave and paused in the cave mouth when he heard Lailah and Hasimu arguing. Snarling he bounded in and went to his sisters side, only to be struck by Hasimu which in turn caused him to lunge at Hasimu and before long the pair were fighting.
Lailah grabbed her cubs, swinging one onto her back and carrying the other before running out of the cave quickly.

"There!" Wasana said, pointing as Lail and the cubs appeared over a small rise. The humans changed direction, the twelve carrying her litter moving much faster than the twenty armed ones. "Lail, what's wrong? Where are you going??"

"To find help, they're fighting. One of them is going to get hurt badly!" Lailah exclaimed, placing her cubs down.

"Take the human soldiers. They'll break them up. I'll take the cubs back to the cave. Common, kids," she said, patting the cushion beside her. "I know you don't know me very well, but I'm your Aunty Wasana. We'll go back to my place while this is sorted out."

The two cubs looked at Wasana in interest before jumping over to her and starting to paw at her.
Lailah nodded and hurried into the cave where Ezekiel and Hasimu were still fighting and biting at each other.

"Meet me at my cave when it's over!" she said, then directed the humans to take her back the way they'd come. To the cubs she said, "My, aren't you both big and strong! What are your names, and how old are you?"

"I'm Tamu and that's my brother Wunjo." The female cub smiled.
"We're eight months." Wunjo grinned.

"Eight months! Whoa," she said. "You must be very clever. Do you want to help me brew some potions when we get home?"
(feel free to take control of the humans and sort out Ezekiel and Hasimu).

The humans pushed their way into the cave and started jabbing at the two lions but in their temper they just kept diving and biting the spear.
"Mummy and daddy are always arguing." Tamu sighed.
"Hush now." Wunjo told his sister before turning to Wasana, "We'd love to help." He smiled.

"It's alright, Wunjo. We're not back yet so let's just talk," Wasana said, then looked at Tamu. "Sometimes adults who are in love forget they're adults and become very selfish. I do that too, on occasion, and then Ezekiel and I fight. What sorts of things do your parents argue about?"

"My parents don't love each other." Tamu start.
"Tamu shut up!" Wunjo snapped, "We promised never to speak about mum and dad."

"Father." Tamu piped up earning a glare from her brother.

"Because he was worried we'd be found." Tamu said.
"Tamu shut up!" Wunjo yelled snarling at his sister.

Wasana turned to Wunjo. "Now now, there's no need to growl at your sister like that. We're here to have some fun, aren't we? And anyway, I'm your Aunty! I'm sure if your dad told you to keep secrets from people, it wasn't from Family like me. But I'm going to make you both a promise: when we get to my cave, you don't need to leave unless you both want to. The humans protect my cave. So if there's anything you DO want to tell me you can, and you won't ever get into trouble for it. Alright?" She winked at Tamu.
