Dusk was settling over the area, and Meho was stalking his way through the reeds. A gathering of gazelles had collected along the banks of the water hole, and had attracted his attention.
Crouching low, he crept along the ground. Ears lowered flat against his head, the tan lion slipped up only yards from the striped gazelles. The breeze shifted his black mane and he resisted the urge to shake his head against the rustle.
Left paw extended, he lauched himself powerfully off his back legs and raced toward the unsuspecting gazelles. Unfortunately, he had failed to notice additional company until the gazelles scattered in every which direction in blind panic.
Their herd broke up and instead of heading together away from Meho, some now ran every which way and even toward him.
What is going on!? Instinct gave way to caution as he now crouched again, this time avoiding the pounding hooves of a gazelle as she lept over him and continued to run. He stood to turn sharply and chase after her, but had only run a dozen yards when he realized she was far too fast and would escape.
Breathing a sigh, he turned to head back the way he had come. Only then did he discover the reason for his failure.
Lilah was sitting at the water hole, looking disappointed. "Perhaps we should have tried this as a team, rather than each being off on our own, not knowing the other was here, " Meho spoke to his oldest daughter as he approached the water hole.
She gave a shrug, her head dropped below her shoulders. "I was trying to do it on my own." Meho gave a nod, understanding her age and preparedness to do what her mother had taught her. "I'm sorry, I didn't know you were here. " Leaning in he nuzzled her.
Her tail flickered, and she stood. "I'm going to try again. Please, let me do this father.. " He nodded. He had not intentionally interfered with her hunt. "Go, I am sure you will manage just fine."
As he watched his eldest run off in the direction the herd had gone, he turned back to stretch out along the banks, his tail swished and then draped over the ground, as his paws were brought to rest crossed infront of his chest. He gave a sigh, his eyes lifted toward the quickly-darkening sky. "Givta.. maybe I am not doing such a good job on my own.. "

Luna was hunting for some food for the pride, when suddenly she heard the pounding of hooves coming straight towards her! she let out a startled cry and leaped into a nearby tree. "what startled them?" she wondered, clinging to the tree for dear life as the herd rumbled past. then she saw the lioness in the distance running to catch the herd.

Kito was hidden among the grass with her cubs, then the rumbling of hooves sounded and she ran for her life! She picked up the youngest cub and hoped the other two cubs could catch up. Makalwai! Hurry up! Kito yelled. Fearing for her eldest cubs life she went back for him. "Follow me Makalwai! Hurry!" And with that the young family ran back to priderock barely living. Kito and her cubs had just nearly died. But luckily they did not.

Kiume was padding along quietly, enjoying the cool air. There was a rumbling of hooves nearby and Kiume shot his head up, his russet mane falling into his eyes. He shook his head and began to run. He watched in fear as he saw a young family running along. Unbeknown to the mother he followed the group quickly to keep an eye on the cubs and to help the mother if she needed it. Eventually the mother and cubs managed to get away. Realizing he's trapped in the oncoming stampede he raced after the lioness quickly. Following her to safety.

Kito looked behind her and saw a quite strong looking lion following behind them who is he? She thought in her head should i go and see and be risky or should i just allow him to carry on following me? Hmmm. Quick Kopa Makalwai and sirepa follow me over here! *She whispered loud enough for the cubs to hear* "What a coincidence a nearby bush" Cubs hide in there momma will be back soon.

Kiume, noticing the female seemed wary stopped where he was and settled on his haunches calmly, waiting patiently to see if the lioness approached him.

*Kito slowly but calmly approached the huge male lion he had sat down and looked rather calm. Perhaps i can talk to him!* She thought. With light steps she made her way towards the mystery male.

*Kito sat down on her haunches suprisingly this lion was nice!* "Hello im kito sorry for running away from you like that its not every day that you come across a friendly lion. Would you like to meet my cubs?

Kiume chuckled good naturedly. "It's alright. And I'd like to yes. I saw them before, that's why I followed you. I tried to help you if it was needed." Kiume explained with a smile.

"That would be nice thank you." Kiume then turned and looked to the retreating cubs. "Hey kids!" Kiume greeted brightly. A warm smile on his lips. "I'm Kiume, what are all your names?"

"My names Kopa guess i have to speak for my sister sirepa shes really shy in front of new lions and lionesses but when she gets to know them she just like our Momma!" *Kito hearing this laughed*
"I forgot to ask.... what is your name?"

Well Kiume where did you come from? I would like to know more about you. The 3 cubs then started saying hey Kiume! Tells us some storys about your past yeah like our mom said!

"I don't mind." Kiume chuckled, "I was born in a very nice Pride, my father was an outsider though so my mother got shunned by the Pride a lot. As I grew older though the King began to see me as a threat. Once my mane had grown a fair bit the King decided I could overpower him so he chased me away and killed my mother as punishment for her betrayal. I'm a rogue now, I like to roam. One day I will go back to the place I once called home and get revenge for my mother's untimely death. Being a rogue is fun though, you get a lot of adventures but sometimes it can grow lonely.

Amani was unknowingly hidden in the cave. He managed to escape into it during the stampede earlier. He peeked out to check if it was safe. The dust had settled and it was quiet again. Suddenly he heard someone else coming towards the cave, maybe even more than one. Thinking it was another stampede or something, he backed up into the cave and hid again.

Kiume reached the cave first and skid to a halt hen he scented another lion, a low growl passed his lips before he uttered the question, "Who's there?"
